Monique was an incredibly caring and understanding person. I enjoyed my appointment with her and felt very very comfortable and understood. She was very knowledgeable in her area of expertise.

Went in for issues with my left eye, I was almost blind to the point where I had to keep my eye closed because it would do me more harm than good. I felt like a real life pirate. All jokes aside, Dr. Thinda was awesome. He explained the whole process to me, and did all the necessary tests to determine my condition. He recommended a 3 shot treatment. After the first shot I was able to see again. Dr. Thinda went as far as giving me my first shot before it being approved by my insurance. This saved me a trip and saved my eye. Blessings to him and the staff, can’t recommend them enough. Now I’m back to normal, and don’t have to live like a pirate.

My experience was very pleasent. They were able to treat my eye with the laser at the same visit, so it was taken care of and saved me another trip right away. Very professional staff.

Dr. Gaede, whose photo is not shown for some reason, is the only Doctor I have found around here who knows about RK surgery and the resulting problems. He is thorough, fun, and takes plenty of time to explain things. I expect to be seeing him as my eye doctor or many years to come.

Veronica and Karina at the Downtown location on S street were amazing!! Great customer service and nothing but smiles.. I went to get a replacement for my glasses to find that they had Versace frames and other high end frames like Coach, Gucci, Prada and more! ! And they also take Care Credit.. I was soooooo blown away by how they fit on my face and the Amazing anti-glare on the lenses. If you want a pleasant experience and basically any name brand frames they got it! I love the quality of the frames and customer service. Not at all a long wait, I was serviced quickly.

Still waiting on contacts. Been what 4 months. I should have stayed at Costco. At least their timely. Efficient and you get your contacts at a timely manner. Here it takes them a month to get trials. Really.

Several years ago, I had a very specific eye problem and was referred to Eye Medical Center of Fresno. I received excellent, prompt care. Since then, as more problems arose, I have been back including a hole in the back of each eye, two cataract surgeries and now two secondary cataract removals. The doctors and care was top-notch. Fresno is lucky to have such a first rate facility available.

I saw Dr. Gaede for a routine eye exam. He was great. Super efficient. Funny. Experienced. Knowledgeable. And speaks really, really fast.Staff was friendly and helpful and the process was very organized but with social distancing guidelines and remodeling in the building, things were a bit chaotic in the waiting areas.I ordered contact lenses from them on Friday, following my appointment, and they were delivered to my door on Sunday morning. Incredibly fast!

If I was rating Dr. Ghajar himself I’d give him 5 plus stars but I’ve rating my overall experience and the office. I’ve called multiple times. Left a messages since my eye started to become blurry. No answer. No return call. Like I was never their patient. They forgot about me. Felt staff was very rude on my initial visit. Had to call multiple times to get forms signed for my leave of absence from work and they had an attitude with me. Even though I gave the paperwork far in advance. I guess Dr. Ghajar hardly even works there so it’s hard to get in. Very unfortunate. I expected better...disappointing.

Arrived on time and was immediately welcomed at front desk. Given the standard paperwork/ forms to fill out and upon completion was sent directly to be seen by Dr. Gaede who was all at once informative, engaging and humorous. Very pleasant experience start to finish.

This was my first visit to Eye Medical Center of Fresno. I was pleased with the visit and the doctors attention to detail. I went to the center because I have not been happy with my old provider. Most of my family uses the Eye Medical Center for their eye care needs and they have recommended to me. I am pleased with the move.

Wait is horrible 160 for a funky walmart style exam 3 hour wait now its 4:30 they close in 30 2 people ahead what kinda of 3rd world joke is this place so I get seen for 1 min or what for $160 0 stars

Let me start with saying that Dr. Remington is great but for as big of an office as this is I was very disappointed with them not being able to do medical certifications for disability online. I drive almost an hour for my appointments there and had to be off for weeks due to a glaucoma surgery. I filled out my disability claim online and called the office with my receipt number and was told that they would TRY to get it done or they would call me if they couldnt figure out how to do it online.. I waited a couple of weeks to see if I received anything from EDD but after checking on my status online and seeing my medical certification hadnt been done I called Dr Remingtons office again and this time I was told they DONT do anything online; that they need paper forms and need 5-7 days to fill them out. Im sure that with hundreds of patients that they see I cannot possibly be the only one that has ever done this online.

I had an excellent experience visiting Eye Medical Center.Their Covid organization was remarkable. Very clean areas, physical abs social distancing were perfect. Thank you very much all personnel and staff.

Seeing the doctor was great! However, when I called for my appointment I had given my name and date of birth, but the person I spoke with put the appointment under my mother-in-laws name (and I didnt even give her the name). (She hasnt been to this facility in over 10 years or more. She when the office called for the reminder a few days ahead, they left the message for her. They appointment was the same date and time. I called the office right away and they made the correction.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mendoza for many years, and i will not change him at all, he is excellent. However the waiting period is exasperante. Please make appointments according to the number of doctors you have, but I always have to wait over an hour and a half past my time at least. However you have a real good group of empoiyees, helpful and friendly. Love your place, but not the wait.....

The medical part of my appointment was fine. The problem I had was the large number of people there. It was impossible to find anyplace to stand where people werent walking through my 6 foot space. My dentist allows only two people in the office at a time. I know that would be impossible for you to do but you need to find some type of work around that reduces our contact with other patients.

The front girls were wonderful then you get to the money person. Not so much. She could not tell me why I had a credit. Well I called my ins who said they over charged me 7 months ago .. I went to see my doctor who I love And to find out I will wait for at least 1-2 hours,the waiting room was overfilled and the poor checkout girl was overwhelmed but very nice!! I rescheduled to try another day.. I’m sure people needed to be seen. Which at least there’s that option... I would not go any other place and do recommend, these doctors are fantastic, its just getting to them for care!! lol

Very impressed with this professional office. Knowledgeable, helpful and caring Staff from Receptionist to Physicians. Doing a good job of adjusting to Co-Vid19 Best Practices. Reaching them by telephone is a bit challenging, but service given during appointment more than balances the effort required to get through the Voicemail System.

Great experience, took my 9 year old daughter to her two year eye exam. Last eye exam was at Kaiser 2 years ago, and honestly the experience at the Eye Medical Center of Fresno was way better than I expected, it was pretty amazing. Dr. Gaede was very good at what he does and very detailed with the eye exam. My daughter had no complaints and thought he was funny. He even give her a quick eye knowledge for why her eyes are shaped differently. Appointment was by far great, we were in quickly and the experience was pleasant.

I came in for a yearly eye exam and was seen by Dr. Gaede.Getting past his unusual style and theatrics, I received one of the most comprehensive and complete exams Ive ever had. I would definitely come back again. Service was quick and I never had to wait.

Appointment was easy to schedule, minimal paperwork for a new patient, everyone at reception, medical assistants and even the cashier were friendly. The exam was quick yet through and the doctors were very knowledgeable. I was in and out in an hour which is amazing. Would highly recommend the Eye medical Center.

I visited the office due to a sty that lingered for more than 2 months. I was seen by Dr. fogg which suggested I have it drained. So we drained it that same day and after 1 and a half week passed and no change to my eye I contacted the office and explained the situation. The doctor suggested I return as follow up to have the eye checked out. I called and asked if I would be charged for the visit. NO, because it is a follow up. Was the reply. On the day of I asked again at front desk. Same answer was given, He spoke to me for 5 minutes and suggested that it may be another gland acting up, which I knew was bogus because the first one took 2 months to get that big so I knew that a 2nd one wouldnt get that way in 2 weeks. He didnt do it right the first time is what it was! So I went home. Weeks later I receive a bill for that visit for 80 bucks.. I called to resolve and got bounced around and they even said they spoke to Fogg himself which of course said that the charge would stand..I can see he NEEDS the money more than Eye. lol. Never again ! God bless you Dr. Fogg.

The facility is nice and adequate parking. The staff was friendly and did their job in a professional manner. I saw Dr. Bidar for a problem on my eye lid that has been a bother for some time. I liked his confident and friendly personality. I see him soon for the procedure and am actually looking forward to going.

I came here to get an eye exam so I can purchase my own contact lenses. Yes they do accept medical. Although I had to wait almost a month to get an appointment because of their busy schedule, my appointment went very fast and smooth. I got checked in right away and got to meet the doctor who was very nice and asked a lot of questions. Overall I had a great experience and recommend this place for anyone who needs an eye exam.

Excellant, Professional, Friendly Staff. Essentially No Wait time, even with COVID-19 restrictions.Dr Strum, opthamologist, found something that concerned him during exam and immediately arranged for a same day (only 45 minute wait) consultation with Dr Thinda, Retinal Care/surgeon.Both Doctors were very thorough with exams and explained everything they observed, what I could expect for eye changes as a senior citizen, and what needed to be watched over next few months.

Dr. Gaede is such a great eye dr. We have been seeing him for years and recently took our boys there to get their eyes checked. He worked great with them and his humor really put them both at ease. I highly recommend him!

I really liked Dr. Gaede and his assistant. They were fast and efficient and very explanatory to a patient who had a lot of questions.

There were too many people mixing and moving around the waiting room. Made me uncomfortable. Left us waiting 35 minutes in the waiting room. Should have been waiting in the car. A little 4 year old was left alone in the waiting room while his mother had her appt. no one checked on him. Little guy did keep his mask on.

I am sharing this review because I was shocked by how badly my appointment went.My appointment was downtown which I didnt think much of until I arrived and there were very few people there. Additionally I found the waiting rooms to be dingy and dark. There was however, plenty of parking.As I looked around the waiting area something seemed to me, to be off. The few clientele with whom I was waiting appeared to be struggling with public appearance, lack of awareness and underprivileged social status. I know that must sound terrible but I dont know any other way to describe it. I felt like I had been identified and scheduled as a low priority patient.After waiting almost an hour after my appointment time I was called back to an examination room which was equally dated. The examination chair was extremely uncomfortable compared to others I have used..The exam felt adequate but sort of herky-jerky jumping from one thing to the next. There didnt seem to be any comfortable sequence. Once it was completed the doctor, who seemed very slightly condescending, businesslike and distant, spent quite a long time explaining to me about lens selection and appeared to be going through a routine designed to sell me a more expensive lens. She did not seem comfortable with this process but appeared to be obligated to go through it..The doctor was doing the best she could under the circumstances. At one point she was rolling around what appeared to be heavy equipment. She seemed to be struggling with trying to have the right equipment in the right room.All of this might have been mitigated by a more friendly staff. Unfortunately their body language, vibe and expressions communicated only more of what Ive already described.Im sure that the Eye Medical Center does a great job for a lot of people. However, I have canceled my next appointment and am going to try someone else.UPDATE; in my follow-up examination with another doctor it was found that I really didn’t need lens replacement at this time. Wow.

Dr. Sakauye was excellent, decades of experience and knowledge in front-of-eye medicine, and a great teacher. Took lots of time explaining and demonstrating everything for me. But that can also be not so good because my appt was scheduled for 2:30 and i didnt even get called back into a room until 4:00, and then had to wait even a bit longer for the doc to come in. Plus there was no place to sit because of the ridiculous covid scam. The staff seemed professional and personable, but when they scheduled my appt and called me 3 times to remind me about it, they never mentioned that they had 2 locations. So, when i arrived, i found out i was at the wrong location and the correct one was CLEAR ACROSS TOWN.

The doctors here are excellent. in my case Im very happy that doctor Remington comes here on Monday morning to treat the glaucoma patients.

Eye Medical Center is fantastic. As a retired RN I am very aware of good medical care. I have been a patient of Eye Medical for the past thirty years and would not go anywhere else. Dr Thinda and his staff are fantastic.

A great place because everyone knew their job. Its unusual to find multiple people in different areas that actually make a difference because they are great communicators. The doctor was the most cordial kind understanding an informative person that I want for my job. A great background of skills for all of the doctors but I like mine the best.

I was very apprehensive about my cataract removal, however, Dr. Sakauye and her staff went out of their way to to explain everything to me, they had such patience with me. The day of the surgery all of her medical staff were so kind and courteous to me, Able Garcia listened to me when I asked him to please inject my happy juice slowly, he understood what I was babbling about, he complied with my request;everyone took such good care of me, kudos to my Doctor and all of her staff!!!

It was a good visit. I got in and out fairly quickly, about 20 minutes. Dr. Ghajar as usual was nice and everyone else too.

Normally I have a good relationship with this group. I had called a month or more in advance and was given an appointment. When I arrived they had no appointment scheduled for me. I will give it to them that they did work to squeeze me in. Then next they directed me to the wrong window. Once I got beyond the front desk the appointment went fine, people were friendly and efficient.

Staff was incredibly friendly, knowledge and accommodating to my needs. Eye Doctor explained tests performed and my results. I definitely recommend you visit Eye Med for your eye exams. They have an on site eye wear store to purchase your glasses or have them repaired.

Your customer service was great. Your employees are so wonderful. They treated me and my granddaughter with much respect. She had to go with me and she didnt get scared because they were very sweet.

As in the past the entire staff was excellent, really customer friendly. The appointment went off without a hitch with all testing easy and efficient. My discussions with Dr. Bertolucci were informative and supportive. This practice receives my highest recommendation.

Dr. Mendoza is exceptional and the staff are also awesome. He has being my doctor for over 20 years. Sometimes could be a little wait to see him but definitely worth the wait. The staff are friendly. My mother and my wife also a patient of Dr. Mendoza and we truly feel lucky to have him to be our eye doctor.

My daughter and I both had appointments with two different doctors at 10am and 1055am and we got in right at 10am after completing paperwork and out by 1050! Worked out 100% better than expected!

It was too busy and there was way too many people. The doctor was not friendly. she just gave me the exam and wanted a follow up. No conversation on how I was doing as a patient or if this was my first time or not. I did not get any direction as to where I could get frames or contacts. I was just told to come back in a week for follow up and nothing else. I didnt feel that patient care was there during my visit especially because it was my first time there. I dont think I will be continuing my eye care with them.

My Appointment with Eye Medical Center of Fresno was made through my Medicare Advantage PCP. There was no charge. My visit was 5 star. Checkin was pretty quick. the first technician was very competent. Dr. A Chen was professional and personal. All in all - a good Eye Care company.

From the first phone call to the exam everything was perfect and professional. The staff was very nice. Greeted me warmly and treated me professionally and compassionately through the appointment. I highly recommend dr strub. And the optometrist was both excellent. Both professor had excellent bed side manners and were friendly and put me at ease. Thanks for the great appointment. Appointment at 2:30PM was seen by doctor at 6:00PM, told this is standard wait time when I made the appointment, even told to bring some food and something to read. Followup appointment needed, told even at 8AM there would be 5 people to see doctor. Good doctor. Suggest help with office management.

Staff and Dr. very pleasant, but the wait time were unexplainably long, like they overbooked. I almost went home after two and a half hours. I was only there because if an ischemic stroke. I was so tired.

Been taking my kids and wife to him for all over 10 plus years and trust him very much .Staff is always polite and respectful Lisa is the best after surgeries that my son had to help us in the problems weve had from my kids getting sick from the mess. My wife and I have been going for about ten years and are very happy with the doctors, and with the opticians downstairs. But today I called with a billing question and instead of a receptionist answering, as they always used to do, there was some automated service saying you are caller number nine waiting to speak with a representative. Current waiting time is approximately ten minutes. What administrative genius decided this is a better way to answer the phone?

Dr Thinda is top-notch. He is thorough; easy to talk to.He caught and corrected two eye-problems for which I had no symptoms. I am very greatful.

The Eye Medical Center is so efficient! They never keep me waiting. I can’t even get into my book to read before they call me to the exam room. From the moment you step into their office, someone is asking if they could help you. They check you in, then you go to the next booth to pay your copayment then they direct your designated area, and within a few minutes you’re being seen! I love that!

I arrived early and very quickly was ushered into a room and my stitches were removed. I was out of there 1/2 hour before my appointment time! This is the only place I will go for eye surgery issues!

I have always received ultimate care at Eye Medical Center. I am sorry(and happy for him) to see my Dr. Whitten retire. His father took care of my eyes and he took over the practice for his Dad, so we go way back. I hopeDr. Whitten has a wonderful retirement. He truly deserves this. Thank you.

Have been going to this facility for over 20 years. I live out of Fresno, but it is easy to get to the center. The doctors have a good reputation and my local doctor recommended that I see a specialist at the center. I have been very satisfied with the two doctors I have seen there and feel that I got very good treatment.

I have gone a couple of times to see the doctor here and my experience with him has been fine. I never have gotten any answers for my eye problems and just keep getting asked to continue to make a follow up appointment.The reason I’m giving one star is because they are not very accommodating when it comes to scheduling. This is the second time I’ve called (I left a voicemail the first time and no one responded when they transferred me to the office) to be seen for something that is seriously affecting my vision and well being and is time sensitive. I was told the next available appointment would be a month from the time I called. When I asked to be transferred to the office AGAIN to see if they could squeeze me in, they said they didn’t have anything available until they could verify my insurance (which should be a phone call and not a week plus process - also my insurance has already been verified with them and used multiple times).I’m very frustrated with the customer service and truly just the lack of urgency or care for something that needs to be addressed right away.

Dr. Kinney was very thorough with my exam. I felt that every part of each eye was examined. One of the most thorough eye exam in years. I strongly recommend Dr. Kinney for an eye exam.

I saw Dr Strum about a growth in my eye. He quickly diagnosed it and gave me options for treatments. I went to him because early this year he treated me for another problem. He immediately treated it and gave me a prescription that completely cured the problem. I will definitely go to him if I have a future need.

No wait, friendly techs, Dr Saini went out of her way to process my forms while I waited instead of making me come back. Also, they were able to fit me in for a test that usually requires a separate visit. Excellent Dr visit.

I just had my fist appointment with this group. They are on the 3rd floor of the Eye Medical Center on Herndon Ave. Wait time was minimal and the waiting room rather large.My eyes were examined by Dr. Allyson Chun, a very courteous and well trained optometrist; very fluid and deliberate in all her motions. The office equipment looked to be state of the art. No complaints here, and next year when I need my annual checkup, Ill be back, and will specifically request to see Dr. Chun.
