If youre living here in the Ashlan & Cedar area your options for grocery stores are kind of limited. Foods Co and Wal-Mart Market are lower price but definitely dirty, but youre honestly better off spending a little more to shop at a cleaner store, this Save Mart has the essentials even if its their overpriced, its probably around the same as Target over on Shields but a much wider selection of products.Going to the store in the evening expect the west door (near Dollar Tree) to be shut, its probably for security but during the day this door is usually open. So youll have to use the east door of the store to get in out, the only downsides is that theres no self-checkout for those that are just getting a few things. If theres only one or two registers open youll be stuck waiting in line.

Lazy workers. Two lanes opened. A regular and an express. Went to the express as we only had an item but there was no cashier there. So we went to the next line and saw that the cashier was standing their chit chatting away with the other cashier. She saw us but looks like she could care less. When there was another customer who went to the express lane, thats when she finally went to her booth. Made us wait in the regular lane and didnt even call to ring us up.We frequent this Save Mart since we moved here 5yrs ago and all the cashiers are usually courteous and nice, so we rather spend a little more here than at Target.Trash worker = bad experience = not taking my business here anymore. I was one of the few regulars at this SaveMart before covid. Now youve lost my support. If I wanted a bad experience, I would have shopped at Walmart.

Love Save Mart! It is always so clean. They have great produce and fresh bakery items too. The staff is so friendly and very helpful. And they are very efficient at the checkout lines too. A lil bit pricier but you pay for what you get. And so if u want a clean fresh friendly store Save Mart is the place to shop at. I just wish they would lower their prices a little bit....

Ashlan Park Save Mart is one of the most friendly and helpful stores in Fresno. I just had an employee go out of his way to help me. I wish I would have gotten his name. In case he sees this, I was looking for something and couldnt find it. My legs were hurting and I just checked out without it. He seen me and looked for it. They were out of it and he found me a replacement. God bless him.

This is a very nice grocery store option. Store is always calm and clean. Allot of things to choose from. Great “ethnic food selection. Although there are normally only two lanes open when I’ve shopped here they move quite quickly. The customer service is normal. And prices are good.

This location is always very clean and organized. I dont go here all that often, just when there is something specific that I need, but I am never disappointed.

Save Mart is a good neighborhood store. They make sure you get a car thats been cleaned and the person who hands you the cart is always friendly. Sometimes they run out of my favorite items so its a bit of a guy and miss, but I guess my favorite items are also others favorites.

Needed Wheatgrass for inside cat. They have it in the organic vegetable section.

Great store and nice staff. Only complaint is the onions and other produce have been looking a little funky lately but I hear it’s because of shipments not being able to move around easily during this COVID crisis so it’s understandable. Also it’s a little pricey but the convenience makes it worth it. It feels very clean in that store which is a nice plus.

This is my daily grocer because of its proximity. The staff is either friendly and helpful, or they look like they hate their lives. There always seems to be long lines with painstakingly slow check out.

My sandwich orders were both wrong, and It was very slow for service.

The cake was beautiful well done except it had some kind of clear long string in between the layer of cake really gross lucky the kids didnt see it the outcome was great manager gave me back a refund also there was a lemon filling that was extra but hardly any filling in the cake very embarrassing my guest were saying wheres the filling? This had never happened before manager says there taking care of the matter! Tracking it down.

I LOVE THIS SUPERMARKET😆😆😆Anytime I go there to shop, I find EVERYTHING I need. The staff are wonderful people, very helpful😊. Their prices are a bit high but when you want QUALITY..this is the place to go. They also have specials advertised in the weekly circulars I get in the mail, which helps..I am a seafood lover, and when I want fresh fish..this is where I buy it. Another reason why I like this store so much is because it is CLEAN AND NEAT.

Savemart although a bit pricey more than makes up for the latte you may have to forfeit tomorrow morning. They are consistently clean and well stocked. Plus, theres an abundance of help from the parking lot to the store proper; which is HUGE for me as I struggle with the limitations and obstacles of disability including extreme low vision. Theres never a struggle for me here!

As with most grocery stores these days, they are always out of familiar items.

A great place for local farm fresh produce from our valley. It has a nice deli with meats, cheeses, and various salads, and a bakery with fresh breads and desserts. You can get hot foods as well. Always clean with often hidden deals waiting to be discovered.

A pleasant, friendly, and clean place to shop.

This location the prices are a little high for what Im used to. Also the store shelves werent fully stocked. The staff was very polite and helpful which was nice. The deli food is pretty good for being from the supermarket. To be honest nothing special about the store your basic run-of-the-mill Market has pretty much the same as everywhere else although this place is a little more expensive.

Worst bakery ever. They cannot get a cake order right, even while you are waiting for them to redo it. And after you have waited on their 3rd attempt, they dont even offer a discount

We shop at SaveMart on a weekly basis, for over 50 years. I’m so glad you gave your regular staff some Christmas time off but the replacements you have really lack professional courtesy. Three morons at one checkstand doesn’t equal one decent checker.I don’t think they realize this is a neighborhood store and we are used to a little more courtesy.

The service from the clerk Stella at the Ashlan location was lousy today. Not even a greeting or let alone a hello. I guess you have to be her perfect customer. I was in grocery retail local 5 for 40 years and never did this treatment to any of my customers even if I had a bad day. Next time I will shop at the Save Mart on Herndon at least they have friendly clerks.

This has consistently been the worst shopping experience in Fresno. Im done and will be moving on to another grocery store.

Great but expensive

I got locked out of my car, with my phone still in the car. I went in save mart to ask to use the phone since I was going there to buy groceries anyway. A staff member pointed to the office with the phone and said the manager was in there and I just had to ask him to make sure. The manager not only said no but was very rude, like I was a piece of scum rather than a person, with an anxiety disorder, who only wanted to use their phone to call my husband. The manager was a very rude man, so although the rest of the staff was very nice and I have always in the past had a good experience there, I will never go there again. I hope they fire that morning manager.

The staff are awesome, the store is neat and tidy, the price is always worth that step above others quality! Save mart also offers debit card cash back at the reg and it can be any amount even under 10-20 dollar, as long as the till has enough, which sounds like nothing but if you need it they are one of the only stores to offer that.

People are checked at the entrance then take masks off as soon as they enter. No one enforcing the 6ft distancing!

I Went to the B OF A ATM inside savemart to withdraw some money. When I entered the store I was surprised to see how empty it was. I was in and out in no time.

Convenient location, also a 99c store in same shopping center. A Wells Fargo, pizza place. Save Mart was clean, fully stocked, comparative prices, an easy to find restroom.

Bakery,I had a drawing of a cake I wanted for my daughters 3rd birthday and decided to get something like it. The theme is team umizoomi. I was very happy with all the cakes and desserts I seen made there already. So I was excited to order a cake from there. I had some toys to place on top to. I knew ahead a time they couldnt make a cake exactly like the drawing I had. I just wanted similar colors and add what they could. So the lady who came to take my order said they could do just about anything. Just when I started to show her the drawing and said to her it doesnt have to be like it just similar, she rudely cut me off and said we dont do custom cakes. I explained to her I know I just wanted something you guys can do. So she took down the colors and flavors. She made me feel like she was annoyed by doing this. So last thing left was giving her the toys to put on. I took them out and she asked what time I told her and she wrote it down then just walked away. Didnt take the toys or say thank you or anything. I was like so thats it. I figured Id keep the order and speak to someone else when the date got close to needing the cake but I ended up going to eddies bakery and getting exactly what I wanted with people who were super nice and understanding. So today I canceled my order because I didnt want to deal with that bakery again. I still like shopping there just not the bakery.
