Dr Pope is fantastic. Saw all the great reviews here and on Yelp and decided that Parkwood Vision was where I wanted to go. Dr Pope did a thorough examination and determined the cause of my vision problem and came up with a treatment plan. At no time did the appointment feel rushed and Dr. Pope really took the time to explain what he thought could be causing the anomaly in my vision. His staff is also great and really friendly. Glad to say I think I found my eye doctor here in Houston.

Greeted in a friendly manner when I arrived and instructed on procedure with only a couple minutes wait since I was early. Parkwood Vision Center is a very clean and sanitary office with a professional atmosphere. As always a great exam by Dr. Pope, picked out my frames and new glasses were ordered quickly and I was on my way.

After Hurricane Harvey, Dr. Pope’s office was flooded but he still set up a makeshift eyeglass pick up service in the Friendswood Library. That is truly going above and beyond.

I have gone to Dr Pope now ever since he 1st opened his practice in Friendswood.Hes an excellent doctor, hes very down-to-earth and practical. Has an incredibly professional staff and remembers every detail about his patients.Im planning to move in a few weeks over an hour away and I will still drive back to his office because I cant imagine anyone else being my eye doctor

Got the early appointment for my annual eye checkup. Staff found a problem with my insurance but came up with a solution that helped me avoid a lot of extra paperwork. I really appreciated them taking the initiative on this. Also, one of the assistants has a knack for helping me pick out great looking frames. It was a hard decision since, this year, there were so many good-looking ones. I was pleased to learn that the ones we chose were lower cost than what I have spent in the past.

Dr. Pope should be your eye doctor. Great easy going friendly manner with top notch diagnosis, and follow up. His staff are friendly and knowledgeable and efficient. Conveniently located.

Very patient and thorough. Love the overnight contact lenses! My daughter has been wearing them for almost a year and she loves not having to wear contacts during the day. They have worked perfectly.

At my age, I have experienced many eye care facilities. Parkwood Vision On 518 is, by far, most accommodating. Without much detail, Im relatively new at this center, but am quite impressed with not only how quickly they recovered from the flood, but how clearly they are more concerned about thepatients/customers than their wallets. My eyesight has never been better, and Im not bleeding financially.

Just had my long delayed annual eye exam at Parkwood Vision Center. The staff functions like a well oiled machine. Desk reception was fast and efficient as they verified and updated my insurance and told me immediately how much was covered.The first technician took me in almost immediately to do preliminary testing, questions and measurements. Dr. Pope came in next to do more work and dialate my eyes.Then took me out front to work up some alternate pricing on various frame and lens combos and repaired my current sunglasses free.Next back for more tests and exam work. Then back out for pricing options, frame choice finalization and payment. Two pair of glasses ordered and out the door after 1 hour and 30 minutes. Beautiful office and kind and competent employees who seem to love their work.

We are very pleased with his thoroughness and the pleasant atmosphere of his office. We are retired military so we have moved a lot which means you change dentists, optomistrists, etc. every few years so we recognize quality.

I have been going to Dr. Pope for over 6 years. I started with him when I was 15 and needed to fix my rapidly deteriorating nearsighted vision. He got me started on CRT (aka hard) lenses and I have never looked back! I have enjoyed having perfect 20/20 vision even with astigmatism. I would recommend him to every single person I know. He is very up to date with his technology and practices.

Went to this doctor because a friend told my wife about him back in January. Was needing a routine checkup so I can utilize my insurance since I have LASIK. Doctor was nice and I do agree with other reviews they were friendly and professional. However, he has been trying to bill me for charges he never informed me of. I just called into his office and spoke to Dr. Pope himself. I explained it was not the dollar amount, but rather how he stated that I needed to stop back by for a follow up that I really didnt need. Never in that conversation did he hint or mention this was not a normal procedure he was going to perform. If he had taken the time to explain in detail as he did when I just spoke to him as I pushed him for answers, maybe in all his 20 years of experience one patient wouldnt have to call in and share with him why he should be more careful in how he tries to up sell his services. I was given some really good advice with my insurance provider in the past. Dont be afraid to fire your doctor!
