I had an emergency. My older Mac Book Pro crashed during an upgrade install prior to a back-up. Desperate to fix issue and retrieve data as I am heading out of state for two weeks and will be working remotely from hotels.Came in first thing in the morning with no appointment. Andy was professional and attentive, explaining clearly to this semi-luddite what the problem may be and the possible solutions/outcomes. Did an immediate diagnostic and told me he would work on it and call me in an hour or two. 2 hours later he had it working better than before the crash with every application and setting seamlessly restored. And the cost was ridiculously lower than I anticipated. A tremendous value with attentive, knowledgeable service. I will definitely be referring my Mac-using friends and colleagues to MBS.
I went to get my nephew’s MacBook repaired at this store. Andy was extremely helpful, he went above and beyond and even provided a free diagnostic. I would definitely recommend this store to all. Excellent customer service!
Mac Business Solutions is simply the best! I had to have a computer repaired under warranty. They communicated at every step of the way and when I had some questions about how to reinstall things once the computer was fixed, they patiently worked with me to do this. They are great technicians but more than they they have exemplary customer service. I highly recommend them.
We dropped off our computer for tech support, they fixed it within a few hours told me what the issue was and how to avoid it in the future. They are top notch and highly recommend them for any computer service. Saved my computer and money. I will not be returning to Apple. New loyal customer.
Customer service is here terrible. Both times I came to drop off and pick up my phone the receptionist unlocked and opened the door. Then without greeting me just looked at me waiting for me to speak. Honestly, I had better customer service at the fix-it stand when I got my iPhone 6s Plus fixed and I spend way less money !! (Montgomery mall). The only reason I went here is that the genuine parts work better on the 11.The second thing is that this place is obviously operated by a bunch of people that havent gone through customer service training because the attitude throughout the whole interaction was ridiculous.Third, they wanted me to leave my phone with them unlocked so they can run a diagnostic on the phone. (Apple does not ask for passwords) Which I absolutely did not do. I dont trust strangers with my device and his matter of fact tone definitely wasnt making me any more comfortable.Lastly, If you can Id recommend just going to an actual professional establishment like the apple store or Best Buy because these (children) staff are rude and ridiculous.Also, they make you stand in the hot sun outside for 10-15 min while they give you an estimate on how much its gonna cost to fix your phone.
I went to get my macbook keyboard fixed here and while I wasnt in town long enough for them to replace the parts, they cleaned things up and made the keyboard almost good as new without charge. So impressed and grateful for their top-notch customer service - would definitely recommend to anyone needing apple repairs.
Had an issue with my phone and I was out of there within an hour. The people are cooperative and friendly! It would’ve taken ages if I’d gone to the Apple Store. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

Great service, nice people and professional work !My new MacBook Pro has lost connection with the keyboard and touchpad, all the Apple stores are closed due to the COVID19.Was able to schedule an appointment (through apple.com) at Mac Business Solutions, dropped off the MacBook on a Thursday and had it ready for pickup first thing on Monday morning.It works and looks great, thank you so much ! Brought in my phone which seemed to die after an update. They allowed me to drop off my phone during my lunch break and pick it up after work. Apparently it was a quick and easy fix which they didnt charge me for. Definitely made my day, great service and quick too!!!

They did a good job repairing my Imac and the price was very good. The guy that worked on my computer actually went above and beyond to make sure he was able to capture as much as possible from my toasted hard drive. Would definitely go back to them if I have any Mac computer issues in the future.
Fantastic work done here. While they couldve tried to up-sell me on all kinds of different things, they instead promptly informed me that my failed logic board was covered under an extended warranty program that I wasnt aware of and that I didnt have to pay anything. They finished the work faster than the very reasonable estimation they gave me originally.Very relaxed and friendly environment. Ive been recommending to all my friends. Thanks so much!
I had my Monitor fixed. After two weeks I was happy to have it back. It was fixed well. So there is no issue with the knowledge and skill of the people who fixed. But what they REALLY lack is customer services. They are soo busy they need to hire more people. Phone ring off the hook. There are times when the ONE and only person at the front desk is helping the customers and answering the phone. Beef up your staff!! Or the people who are sitting on their duff in the back should be able to answer the phones while the person upfront is helping the customer.

The service tech was informative, polite, knew his stuff and fixed me right up . Much quicker than going down to the Apple Store. After you go online and make an appt for apple. My computer may never see an apple store again!

Granted i showed up early for my appointment, the only other person was couple trying to buy something and they were already being helpedI was made to wait while most of them were playing with a dog in the store. then a very courteous gentleman came out to to say they donot have IPHONE 6 batteries to replace - it was stated explicitly in my online request that that was the primary issue. They seemed to have a service dog of some sort there which kept their time occupied . My issue however was unsolved though the gentleman and the young lady upon the front were very nice
Went in to get my iPhone 6 plus iSight camera replaced since my phones serial said it was eligible. Technician looked at my phone and said my camera was fine and I said then why does Apples website say it needs to be replaced. I had then proceeded to have to show him that it cant focus when I attempt to take a picture of something up close. It wasnt super messed up but messed up. He finally agreed something is not right. They said Apple doesnt allow them to stock that part in their store so they had to order it and it usually take a day to come in. Its been 9 days and nothing. A couple of issues here. First, I had to do a lot of convincing to get my camera fixed. The tech said it was fine. Well if it was fine Apples website would not say my serial was affected. Just fix it so we can move on with our lives. Second, dont tell me the part comes to you the next day to get my business. Maybe it does but someone dropped the ball on this. I only went to get this fixed at this location out of convenience cause it was near my work and the Apple Store was further away. Maybe this place doesnt care to do stuff under Apple warranty cause they dont make a lot of money on it. Who knows. Moral of the story, if your device is under Apple warranty just go to the Apple Store cause their techs actually know what they are doing. Thanks for wasting my time.
I have used them a few times. They diagnosed the Mac and let me know what parts needed to be replaced. Then, I ordered the parts myself and had them install. Whether you use their provided parts or self ordered parts, your costs will be lower than at the Apple Store, prompter, and probably the same quality.
Spring, 2019. I have a Mac Book that would freeze up after being on for 1-2 minutes. To make it work again, I needed to turn it off, then on and log in again. Then it would freeze after a minute or two. I took this Macbook to Mac Business solutions in May. Less than on week later, they called me and told me that they reloaded the operating system and restored the Macbook to normal working order. The cost for the diagnosis and fix was very reasonable. I could not be more satisfied. I highly recommend this company to any Mac user.
My Mac Mini died (7 years old hard drive went bad) and my backup had died a year earlier (procrastinated and didnt fix it) so I was really up a creek. They were able to get the data off my old computer and put it on a new Mac Mini and got me back up and running! These guys are great!
BEST PLACE IN TOWN!!! The LCD in my macbook pro had damaged pixels then totally crapped out. The crew was able to find a recall on my mac and replaced the screen free of charge in one business day.

I had originally scheduled an appointment to see if MBS would be able to update my 2012 MacBook Pro and get it to run faster. The day before the appointment, my computer crashed and was not able to read its hard drive. MBS, Inc. was able to recover the info on the hard drive and get my old computer working great again. Very happy with their customer service, promptness, and work.
Jonathan Fahey at MBS is the man! Fixed the multiple issues I was having with my macbook pro (Apple no longer makes the parts for the 2011 17 MacBooks, so its difficult) and made great recommendations on how to avoid the problems from reoccurring in the future. Highly recommend.
I hate updating my OS and have gotten really good at clicking Remind me tomorrow when that stupid daily reminder comes up.But, they got me! I must have accidentally clicked update one time and, after installing, my 2014 MBP would not let me get past the log-in screen.One excruciating week later, my preciousss and I are back in business! MBS kept me updated, backed up my laptop (even though I hadnt IN MONTHS) and everything is restored. AND it seems to function at a zippier speed than before. My repair cost was very reasonable. Hopefully, Ill never have to come back, but if I do, I wont hesitate to use MBS.
Not very good. They diagnosed the problem & said they fixed it. I went to pick up and problem remained. They guessed a different problem which only an idiot would assume. I took it somewhere else & the problem part was replaced. Go elsewhere.
I have used MBS in Gaithersburg, MD twice in the past 5 years. Both times they did an excellent job and charged an extremely reasonable price. The first time they replaced a hard drive in my 2008 iMac that went bad (i.e. Apple recall) and rebuilt the machine using my Time Capsule. The second time they salvaged the data from the hard drive of my 2008 iMac after the GPU went bad and put it onto an external hard drive so I could put the data onto a brand new 2017 iMac. They also cleaned my 2012 MacBook Pro for free!
Excellent service and staff, I’ve taken my Macbooks to this store on several occasions and never had any issues; highly recommend if you are out of warranty and don’t care to pay Apple Store prices.
My daughters Mac was dying a slow death when she handed it to me 4 days before she left for a semester of college study abroad. Nothing like a challenge? Being a Windows user I wasted 2 days learning before running the built in hardware checker and finding that it had a failed memory chip. Because of its behavior I suspected the hard drive was failing as well. Then I got smart and took it to Austin of MBS in Gaithersburg after recognizing that I was not going to finish on time. Austin was the real deal. He replaced the memory and the old slow hard drive with a very fast hybrid drive. The price was more than fair. The 4 hour turnaround time -- with applications installed and ready to go -- was just fantastic. The conversations, and the entire experience with MBS was great. I would use them again myself and recommend them to all my adult Windows users who have Apple addicted children. Three weeks later, my daughter has been using the laptop successfully with zero issues -- a happy ending.

Second time I have come to them for hard drive repair. They charge a 40$ diagnosis fee to look at the hard drive and tell you they cant fix it.
After many years of patronizing MBS, it pains us to write this review. But we would like to warn others. When you go to purchase a printer, you just want it to work right? Well thats all we wanted but got the worst customer service imaginable after spening thousands of dollars with a company.We purchased a printer, recommended by the owner and his employees, for business use. For the first three weeks of using this printer, we had more problems and lost more money than ever. After many hours and days dealing with Epson technical support, they ruled it a manufacturers defect and told us we have to return it with the retailer from where we purchased it. When we called the owner at MBS, he told us we had to return it to epson which makes no sense because we bought it from him. Epson said that the only way they could return it is if we brought it from them.Once we took the printer back to MBS for return, we experienced the most rude, unexeceptable level of service ever. Apparently, once they make the sale, they dont care what happens from there. Beware, if you recieve a product with a defect, they will not take it back and give you attitude about it. It was so ridicuous and unprofessional. You can say the same thing to a customer and get different results. It all about how you communicate. I recommend going directly to Epson or Apple who I have never had this type of experience with in my life. Still we have a printer that is defective and works when it wants to, and the owner over at MBS did not even want to try and find a solution. Beware!!!
I recently took my MacBook to the local Apple store and was told that I needed a new top case and a fan. I was told that this would cost approximately $250 to repair and was given the name of a few Mac repair businesses. Because MBS was the nearest one, I went with them. I was so glad that I did.When I got there, I dealt with Austin, an employee at MBS. He noticed some cracks in my top case and told me that it was probably under warrantee. Sure enough, it was, and it turns out that I didnt need a new fan, there was just something stuck in my fan. So I got my laptop back just a few hours later with a new top case and a fan that now worked. In short, my 3.5 year-old laptop looked brand new. And my out-of-pocket expense? $0. Thanks so much, MBS and Austin, for your promptness and honesty. Ill be returning in the future.
