Always seems to have plenty of staff to help if needed. Store is well organized and seems like they have more space in the aisles than they used to. Very nice store.

They’re just okay.We have had a deposit to have some windows replaced in our home since May, the salesperson that came to our home was fantastic.Unfortunately, it is now September, they haven’t replaced our windows that were originally scheduled to be replaced in early July (they cancelled and haven’t told us why). That’s now almost 4 months without a scheduled date and a broken window in our home. Did I mention they took HALF of the agreed amount as a deposit for our windows to be replaced, we could do a whole lot with that cash right now.Which comes to today. I went by because one of the temporary fixes for the badly broken window was causing a lot of warm air to enter the home and let some of the colder air from a room over with an AC unit in it out. I went by to buy some lumber to drill into the window sill for the time being. I was around the lumber area for about 15 minutes, debating on asking an employee if they could help me with having the lumber cut to size, but a couple just walked by. I approached a couple more and said hi, or hello, and they just kept doing what they were doing.All around this year hasn’t been a great year for our experiences with Home Depot, but my wife and I have had good experiences in the past and will keep coming in the future. I just want my windows replaced.

Just had a rental of a van at the Geneva location. The rental system has been recently updated and needs to be trashed.... Ive had 2 reservations accepted by the system and then later cancelled after the fact on the day of the rental. Thanks to Matt R. who noticed my 2nd reservation was cancelled by the system, called me to double check on my reservation. He confirmed I wanted the van and ensured that he would put a physical reservation for me on the van, even though the system would not allow it to be reserved. He called me later that day when the van was returned and I came in to rent it. Matt saved the day. Thank you!

Went in last night and asked an employee about a double kitchen sink and instead of stopping he continued to walk. I told him how rude that was and waved him off. He said same to you buddy ? Pretty funny actually. Larry was either drunk or high and continued to be rude. Do not ask for Larry if you actually want good service.

Employee in power tools was nice. Shared good ideas about when to catch the deals.

Matt the tool rental guy was amazing! He knew his products and gave me great advice on how to clean the tool in rented!

Home Depot Staff is great and the checkout is fast. The store being so big and having so much products youd think you you will find everything you need but I went there looking for a few things and I did not find them. I did however find a lot of other stuff that I purchased and I find their prices very reasonable.

This place is awesome. The workers were helpful and the store had everything we were looking for. Staff answered all my questions and directed me to where I can find what I am looking for. I bought a variety of flowers for my backyard and my husband picked up some materials for small renovation projects at home.

I dont enjoy shopping at home depot. The main aisle are over stocked with merchandise. Cant get to the other aisle without knocking something over. Very difficult to shop. The products are not easy to get to... Plus they need to improve on their lighting. Seem dark and dull. The employees are very nice. Over all the store needs work.

So I was getting a discontinued Item that and had to go to Palatine, Elk Grove, Bartlet and Geneva to collect all 11 pieces that were the last available. 1st 3 home depos were very nice experience, customer service were polite and helped with a smile to locate the items since they were at the random clearance section. However the managers and staff in Geneva were very rude, did not listen to what I need and on top of everything overcharged me $105 and refused to correct the price even after I showed them receipts for same exact items from the previous 3 locations. Funny thing was the guy started to adjust the price and in the middle changed his mind for no reason. he acted like he wanted to but the last (Discounted) Items for himself and looked like he was hoping i would live them cause of the high price. Anyway I bought them cause it was a 50 mile drive for me and stopped by the Palatine Home depot and they fixed the price and apologized even they had nothing to do with it. AVOID Shopping in the Geneva Home Depot.

We rented a house drain auger and it worked great. Great to know they have items like this to rent.

Always a guy on a forklift trying to get you out of the aisle....and the adjacent aisles.Oh dont forget when they have their forklift parade down the main aisle complete with the Parade Grand Marshal and his orange flags.Menards has the walk to the lumber yard but at least when I get there I can get what I need and not get held up by a random forklift parade.

Staff helpful but website inventory did not match store inventory. Ended up buying someplace else because of that.

I was ignored by 3 separate employees on the sales floor and as a result was unable to locate what I was searching for. Said something about it on my way out and was told I hope you have better luck elsewhere. I have been a contractor for years and this was by far the most non enthusiastic store I have visited

On Saturday May 15, 2021. I returned a gas line trimmer becauseI could not put the line in the spool and when I twisted the head it popped off and that parts hit me on the face. This was after I spent over one hour trying to change the wheels on a 4 year old Honda lawn mower. I was furious but a kind and patient sales lady at theReturn Desk took time to explain to me how the gas trimmer works and how to extend the trimmer line . I was very upset but theKind saleslady calmed me down. She is an invaluable asset to the return desk. I wish I had her qualities.

They dont honor Husky Tools Lifetime warranty here. The first time Ive ever been asked for a reciept for a wrench that broke that Ive had over a year. Of course I dont have the reciept, its been over a year since I purchased it for my job... Not coming to this home depot again.

We spent more than half an hour trying to get help to cut blinds and consult on proper choice of blinds . Waited in line, associates sent us from one side of the store to another and didn’t get anybody who could actually help. Total waste of time, way to take care of customers.

Love this Home Depot as my dad has been taking me here since I was little but I was disappointed in the customer service. I had never bought a propane tank before so I was confused as to how the process worked and when asked to see my receipt I let her know I hadn’t yet paid because I wasn’t sure I was supposed to pay before or after and I thought I would’ve been told. I had no problem going in but the issue I had was my little cousin who I had left behind so I could go into pay had said the girl who had red wavy hair who was training someone had said “This is a prime example of why you need to ask for a receipt because people will just steal.” It explained the rude distant attitude I was given after I returned. Very disappointed that I was labeled as a possible thief for simply not knowing and wasn’t aware. :(

Very disappointed. Needing a dishwasher looked on line and found one that showed in stock. Went to store payed and waited. After almost an hour they said they couldnt find it. Said to look and see if they had anything else. After looking at others that they had on floor checked each time and no stock. Finally asked what they did have and was told not much asked which ones and again told not many. After spending another hour they could only offer me a $1400.00 unit. VERY POOR INVENTORY CONTROL AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

We were pleasantly surprised at the large selection of artificial Christmas trees. We were definitely disappointed in the price points. Much higher than the other big boxes and somewhat higher than the specialty stores.

Ordered on-line. Called to expedite and Caroline was very accommodating. Curb-side pick-up was a breeze.

Terrible experience this morning at Home Depot in Geneva. I walked the entire store multiple times to find a cart to hold concrete, no cart to be found other than carts full with product not being used by customers. Another customer told me he was also looking everywhere for the heavy duty carts. I finally decide to ask an employee for help and she says to just go by the mulch, still no carts available besides one being used by employees. Finally decide to grab a shopping cart that’s not meant to hold 60lb concrete and I see that all carts are being reserved and holding previously ordered items by online customers. I finally checkout, go to my car to see a bunch of carts outside waiting to be brought back inside for customer use. Will not be coming back to this location for a hardware store they should know better to have the heavy duty carts available at all times.

Used the app to purchase a few items. Unfortunately it was on a Sunday and no one got back to me and I had to call on Monday. Two items were out of stock but when I went to pick up my order I found one of the out of stock items on the shelf? All in all a great place but not sure the online ordering is completely figured out

Everything is out of stock.. anytime I order online from this location it takes about a week longer than originally estimated for delivery! Close the location if you arent stocking anything and or get amazon to start doing your deliveries so they arrive on time or earlier than expected instead always later... WAITING!

I do think their product reviews by customers are spot on and help tremendously to narrow choices. Lots of parking, nice shaded cargo loading bay for cars, organized and well kept. Great outdoor and garden items. Probably one of the better Home Depots I have been to, but most of them have been great in my experience. Great equipment rental center too.

There live char support is a joke and so are the employees. I have to suffer because of someone else mistake being home depots wearhouse. I got sent a medium hoodie in a xl how and I ordered an xl but because its an online order THEY wont do anything but return my money which takes 3 days and then im supposed to order another one and have 300 dollars tired up for a hoodie I dont even know if im guna be sent the right one? And the one I just got that was the wrong size the battery hold was laying loose in the box like someone else returned this and they sent it back out for someone elses order

The Randall Road Home Depot is a special favorite only because there is never ever a dearth for good people offering great service. Someone is always around to lend you a hand. I enjoy this HD much over any other locations only because of this. Ample cash counters, easy online pick up and returns. If at all I have a crib, they could introduce contactless payments.

I am renovating a dated wet bar area and needed some help. I called and got connected to the kitchen department and Karen Zeller picked up. Karen was fabulous by going the extra mile to schedule me with a designer and happy to answer any questions I had. I met with Kathy Jacobsma the next day and I left with a new design and will be ordering the cabinets this week. I cant say enough about the people that work in the kitchen department at the Geneva, Il location, they are knowledgeable, hard working and kind. This is my go to home remodeling location for sure!!!

Needed some wood for my fence and I looked around in the store for someone to help me and I found this tall gentleman who worked for this home depot. He was extremely helpful and tried to look with me to find a close match to the piece of wood I brought with me and then cut it into a few pieces for me just the way I needed it. Overall I am very happy with the service and will continue to shop at home depot whenever I need something they have.

I went to the Geneva Il. Location to rent an Auger and Van for transportation of that Auger. I got the day rental of the auger back home and then returned the van. Got back to the house and the Auger started to leak oil and didnt even get a foot into the ground. When returning it for a refund, I was told there is nothing they could do as far as the van rental for transporting it because it was closed out. I should contact customer service per employee. I contacted customer service that stated they would send a gift card for reimbursement. I never got the gift card but I got a survey from them. So in total they rented me a broken piece of equipment, I wasted an hour and a half in the car and they charged me for it. Needless to say there are better ways to encourage sales.

The store is kept clean, the aisles are well marked and the selection is very good. The home depot app works perfectly for locating products in the store. If the employee engagement with customers improved it would be a 5 star location.

I do a lot of DIY projects around the house. I like Home Depot, a lot. They have great prices and nice product. Most of time they have what I need. This trip was an information trip, looking at different types of deck wood/ composite deck boards. After reading about different companies and product, once again Home Depot has on of the best in the composite wood line, TimberTech. So off to the design process of the deck.

They seem to always have what I need. Everyone is friendly and the store is kept pretty clean and organized.

My friend’s boss told my friend he couldn’t go go the Lake house with us because she was out of town that week and they are the only two workers in the Flower vendor. My friend leaves for the military soon and this will be the last time i see him before but now i wont be able to enjoy a lake trip with him because the boss, not employee is busy. Sucks

Did have what I was looking for that Lowes doesnt. Helpful clerk couldnt tell me where garage door stuff was. I found it by myself.

I went in and was helped by Chuck who was so incredibly helpful. He answered all of my questions, had plenty of patience and was friendly the entire time.

Ordered blinds through Home Depot and paid them come measure and to have them take care of installation as well. I decided to put up the blinds while I was home and in the middle of installing them I realized one was 4 inches too short. My wife called Home Depot while I was installing the others and the manager for blinds was extremely rude to her and told her we would have to pay again for someone to come measure (when they already measured it incorrectly) or have to schedule an installation appointment and have that company call Home Depot to tell them its the wrong length. I got on the phone and asked to speak to the store manager who immediately solved our problem and ordered the correct size blind. If it wasnt for the awesome store manager, Andrea who ordered the new blind, and Bob the manager in flooring who also helped us with this, this would be a 1 start rating. Great job to everyone except the blind

Robbers. Their candy bars are $1.68 for regular sized. it just goes to show that they are trying to get over on you when you are not paying attention and when they can get away with it. Woodmans candy bars are $0.60

Very poor service at service and returns desk. Rarely post but they made minimal effort. They refused to take a brand new, still in box product back. All i wanted was store credit for a duplicate gift clearly bought from Home Depot.Staff need to be retrained or systems need to be corrected/fixed.Menards would of taken care of the customer.

Whatever the service may have been three years ago, this place has totally changed today (2014). I havent been able to go 5 minutes at this Home Depot without someone saying hello and asking if I need help. Ive always gotten help with a smile, and their staff is very knowledgeable. Ive had the managers even walk me from aisle to aisle on big projects to make sure I get all of the right supplies, tools, and advice. Ive never once been asked if I need help at the local Menards or Lowes and, when I have sought people out at those stores, they have acted like its an inconvenience. Not so at the Geneva Home Depot. They get 99.9% of my business and will continue to if they keep up their current level of service. Prices are reasonable and in-line with other stores. Their selection is great too and they have rarely not had the item I needed in stock. When its not in stock, they have bent over backwards to find it at the North Aurora Home Depot (my second choice if need be - also good service there, but its not as great as it is in Geneva). In short, 5 BIG stars!!!!
