Went to check out the US Compost Council STA Certified organic compost. Asked for the test that is required in order to obtain that certification, which is supposed to be available to customers upon request, and performed on a monthly basis. The response I got, and I quote, was, Do you want to buy compost or not?So, I went to go look at the pile myself. I took seven sample handfuls. Each handful contained more than three pieces of plastics that were all larger than my thumbnail. I found stickers, adhesive, and metal, in addition to the plastic. There is no way in hell Id grow food in that. The US Compost Council, also does not list them as a supplier. Seeing how he refuses to answer questions or provide the test, I am starting to think they might falsely be claiming the certification in the first place. I dont think theyd pass the tests with that much plastic anyway.Maybe you want to spread this on your lawn, but I wouldnt eat anything grown in it, myself.

After researching and comparing bulk raised bed soils in the Austin and Round Rock, TX area we chose Garden-ville in Georgetown as our supplier. The office staff was friendly and accommodating. We collected samples from each location and overall the Garden-ville products seemed to be superior in quality. They took my order over the phone and one day later 12 cubic yards of Superior and 12 cubic yards of Simple soil were delivered. Professional drivers were very customer friendly.Next project is to begin filling my 5 Birdies steel 30 tall raised beds and my 4 Vego Garden 32 tall steel raised beds. I hope to have enough left over to restock my greenhouse with potting mix. TDS and Garden-Ville come highly recommended!

I bought garden soil from 3 different companies in Austin - Whittlesey, Austin Wholesale Landscape supplies and Garden Ville Georgetown. Garden Ville was by far the best one. The soil not only looks great but works winderfully too. One side in my herb garden has Whittlesey soil and the other side has Garden Ville soil and what a difference. The Whittlesey side is full of weeds and the other one doesnt have a single weed!!! The Garden Ville soil is pricier but worth every bit of it
