We bought a brand new set of Cooper tires from the Pep Boys. The truck would shake when on the freeway & was nowhere near being normal. Took it back in & we were told they balanced them again & they just had to get broken in. The shaking continued until we took it into Larry Miller Dodge, who balanced them like real mechanics do and it rides smoothly as silk now. Stay away from this company. They don’t care and it’s obvious.

Made an appt at 830. I’ve been here over an hour and the tech said it’ll be several more.. for an oil change. One tech on duty, no manager in sight and another customer says they’re never here. This wouldn’t fly at the other Pep Boys that I used before I moved. The poor tech is trying his best but there’s no way one guy can do all of this. He needs a raise and a better manager. I can’t believe pep boys would allow this.

Showed up to my scheduled appointment at 8:00 AM for an oil change this morning. It was 8:00 AM and doors in the shop were still not opened. The tech then came to the front and unlocked the door and me and another customer were just waiting there thinking he would open it. After this, I checked in and the tech said it would be a few hours for an oil change. It was just him in the shop. I asked if there were any other employees working and he said It was just him and he had to service another car first. I decided to just leave and not wait a “few hours” for an oil change. It was a waste of my time to come here. I hope this location finds a better team and management. I’m disappointed. First time coming here and last time. I’ll be getting an oil change somewhere else.

Brought my vehicle for oil change, shop is filthy dirty and by the time I got home I noticed there was no service sticker on windshield. I called shop and manager stated they don’t put them on windshield unless customer asks. That should be an automatic for every single customer, Pep Boys just lost a customer for trying to save a few bucks. Never coming back!

Horrible experience. Came here to get my spark plugs changed. They told me my warranty covered everything and I wouldnt have to pay. I came back a week later because they had to order the spark plugs and was told I needed to pay. I guess warranty never actually approved it even though they said it did. I asked for a tune up and they charge an additional $99 for that on top of the $89 for the spark plugs. The spark plugs should be included with the tune up and in total should have only been around $100. I found out they never filled my fluids so when I came back for the spark plugs I asked them to fill them. When i went to get the spark plugs put in they told me they ordered the wrong ones and couldnt do them. I asked them to atleast fill my fluids. I went to pick my car up and they said no cost. I assumed maybe they didnt charge me because the hassle I went through. I went home and checked to see what got done and they didnt do anything to my car but drive it in the garage and out. This is the worst mechanic I have ever been to. DO NOT GO HERE!

Made a appointment online to get a transmission flush on july 18 and my appointment was the 22nd. I get there and they tell me they dont do that there. My question is why did you accept the appointment for that particular service if you dont offer it. Will never go there again. I knew I should have went to sun devil auto.

Very unhappy, asked for a/c coolant recharge, tech found rat had been inside engine, now on 3rd day keeping car, said they need more time. My car ran fine when I brought it in. I should have read the reviews before stopping here.SO THIS WAS NEVER FIXED, MY CAR SAT FOR 4 DAYS AT THIS GARAGE AND THEY DID NOTHING. I WOULD NOT BRING A SCOOTER TO THIS PEP BOYS. BEWARE!!!!!

2 stars because 1 star as hated it is too harsh, nor does that truly represent my experience. Dropped off my VW today for scheduled appt, about an hour before appt time for injection system cleaning, cabin and air filters replaced, tires rotated, fluid check, and anything else required/suggested for a 60K mile service, minus oil change (due to another garage who did the oil change but nothing else even though all of that was scheduled, but that is another review). Received text asking for approval for filters, which I approved via text, even tho I did so upon drop off, no big deal. After a few hours with no other contact, and about 30 min before closing, I catch a ride there. Upon arrival, discovered that the filters they ordered (from another competitor I found out) towards end of the day were not the right ones. Was given my keys and told your all set. I told them I hadnt paid anything yet and asked to confirm the injectors were cleaned as requested. I was told they were checked and didnt need it. Upon further questioning was told it wasnt done because VW requires a special tool to get to them which they didnt have. Ok...so how do you know they dont need to be cleaned if you need a tool that you dont have to access them to confirm that?? That makes no sense and I was offered no explanation. After hearing the before conversation between them about parts issues and my vehicle not having anything done, I let them know that was my car I was there to pick up; I had a seat in the lobby as there was a guest ahead of me. Really not happy how this went down and very disappointed in Pep Boys altogether... made a negative lasting impression.

$49.24 oil change, after a $10 off coupon. Lots of delays due to mechanic problems. I dont think these guys know what they are doing. Im not very confident about my service here. I wont be back. They wont rotate my tires. 15 minutes to check out while they tried to sell me tires, brake job, and a bunch of other stuff. Frustrating. My tires are less than 2 years old. The guy keeps trying to sell me stuff, saying this is a legal document and I have to write it all down and tell you. Dude, I just want to pay and leave. Some delivery service comes in while Im trying to pay and the guy leaves. He walks away in the middle of me trying to pay!!! 10 minutes later her comes back to try and sell me more stuff. Arg. Yeah, I wont be back.

SUPER slooow. Ive been here before and the younger guy took care of things effortlessly and fast. Today, it took dude 55 minutes just get to me. My appointment was at 10 and I got here 10 minutes early. Its 10:56 and I was supposed to be out of here by 11am for an oil change.

Ya .id be careful went in for an alignment, tech comes out and says your whole power steering pump blew out leaking all the oil, funny my dad checked everything before coming here for that purpose of yall trying to rip people off! Ive found the pep boys on 67th and Peoria is much more honest and reliable!!

Very happy with how my car is driving! The manager is such a nice guy and very easy to work with. They called and told me the price of everything before starting and stayed in constant communication with me as I needed quite a bit done. Highly recommend to anyone needed fixes and need them done fast!

Had to bring my terrain in many times to do various repairs and each time they were upfront and honest about what needed to be done. Had to bring in my car because my brakes were squeaking, I thought the brake pads were done but they told me the pads were fine just a bit dirty and just needed to be cleaned. Could have easily told me they needed a full repair and I wouldnt have known better but they were entirely honest with me

I totally recommend this car service establishment. Today a bolt came off my brake while driving. I walked in and Gary, Andy, and Hector took such good care of me. They went out of their way to track down the needed bolt and all at a most reasonable charge. They were my heroes of the day and Im very thankful for the help and service they gave me.

Had appt for 4PM for a tire rotation. Granite, being 5 min late, told me to bring it back tomorrow because he’s stuck in between 2 vehicles before closing. Had this appointment set for about 3 hours in advance online. Wow.

I have not been back to this shop. I purchased tires and had a oil change. The so called mechanic left the lug nuts loose. This caused damage to the studs. Was very dangerous. Also, did not tighten oil nut correctly. When I spoke to the management the response was that Kyle worked on my car and we fired him. I didnt receive a refund for the crappie work. I had my regular shop make repair. Dont go to this shop.Hop7

They changed my oil and were awesome. I’ve been back a couple of times and they have checked my tire pressure cheerfully and quickly. I just purchased a different vehicle, trust me I will be bringing my new baby here too.

Last night I had an incident on the side of the freeway, I got a flat tire. Went to this location at approximately closing time. I had my own tire and rim, all I needed was for him to mount the tire on the rim. He was charging $25 when I went to pay he came up with the excuse that he couldnt do it because the tire said 07 and was a road hazard and that the company didnt want to get sued. It made no sense because the tire was in great condition. This got me so frustrated because Ive had this done before, the assistant manager was almost forcing me to buy a new tire. I had to take my uber 20 minutes away to a different place and they had it done. The customer service at this pep boys was awful, never coming back!

Super customer service from the manager Creighton, had oil changes, filters change etc. Explain everthing to me and very clean and love the location.7.4.2019. I just had my brake fluids changed, which was cheyenne recommended to have done. Luke also recommended that my next visit is for my AC. Thanks you all, I am educated everytime. 👌

Did a great job on my car.

I didnt want to mention the new rear brakes squeaking every time backing up because the water pump was going to be expensive enough. Somehow, going home from picking it up, the rear brakes werent making any noise at all. I got home and backed up and went forward several times, not a sound. The lady at the desk sounds burned out and no more fond of dealing with people than I am (Im not at all fond of it) but I dont care, Im really impressed with this location. I had showed up an hour after close expecting to drop the car off somehow but one of the mechanics happened to be going outside and I asked where the key drop was and he took me inside and they got me set up. Just amazed. Been a while since I had a positive customer service experience anywhere, it feels like. Very refreshing.

Hector worked on my car and he was absolutely great! He was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything worked great on my car. 10/10 would go back and ask for Hector!

Van broke down on the way to a recommended garage. It was fate I ended up here and as fate would have it its turned out to be the best experience ive had with mechanics. My van came out running like new. They did so many extra things that I didnt even pay for that made my vehicle gas milieage jump. Fair prices, typical mark up on parts. Behind village inn, a good place to wait for quick repairs.

Good customer service by the front desk girl, very friendly and professional....I just feel like they didnt take the time to do what I requested, the whole reason I came to PB was to get a free tire rotation with my oil change..... when I dropped my car off, I confirmed that I wanted the tire rotation, she gave me the speal that if tread is deeper in the rear then thats the way they keep it, if not then they do a rotation, I said I still wanted int done even if side to side rotation, shes just said, ok...... so when I picked up my car 1 hour and 15 minutes later, all they did read the oil change, and when I asked they said the tread was deeper in the back so the left them.....wellllllll .....thats not what I wanted, ......and I made it clear that I wanted my tires rotated before I left the car.......I feel like they just blew off the tire rotation to save time because I kept hearing them say they were running behind. Not a good way to acquire a good reputation though.

I was just doing some tire pricing, the employees where friendly and helpful.

I made an appointment for a brake inspection at 8:00 am. I arrived at my scheduled time, went to check in and the clerk assumed I was there for an oil change. I told the clerk I had scheduled my appointment online and informed him I was there for a brake inspection. He informed me that his mechanic was stuck in traffic due to a five car pile up but assured me he would be in around 8:45, (they had no other mechanics on duty) I waited until around 8:30 am decided I wanted to leave and asked the clerk for my keys. I was told the mechanic was right down the street, against my better judgement I waited. At 8:50 am I had enough and decided against having my car looked at, as I was leaving I see the mechanic being dropped off by what appears to be a Uber. This was a big waste of time I will never return to this location again. Don’t waste your time at this location!!!!!!!

I had a set of four tire installed on my truck, one of them was leaking air the next morning, I stopped by after work about a week and a half after they were put on and the assistant manager said without a road hazard warranty they were going to have to charge me. That made no sense so I talked with the manager, he set an appointment and after the appointment (and a 2 hour wait) the tire still wasnt fixed. I spoke with the manager again, he ordered a new tire and put it on. I was there 3 times for the same issue. Its fixed now and if I have any issues Ill go to Discount Tire

I sxheduled the apmt for Sat March 2nd at 10am for my car ac to he checked because i had 5aken it back on july 2018 n it had garante. Well after 2hrs &:40 minutes of waiting and being patient we ended leaving without having the car ac fixed!!! Why????Well let me start by saying;1.) The caahier, receptionist was taking all walkings & calls ahead of us that had an apmt.2.) To cut it short she put every body before us. Very bad service i so wanted t9 chew her out but i kept it in n wish to god i never have to return there.

Went in for oil change and a u-joint cost me about $1,000 they will automatically charge you for a warranty that you do not ask for check your receipt quick they will not tell you in advance

This place sucks! Ive been here twice and both times they couldnt do the service on my vehicles! The first time I called to set an appointment for an oil change on my wifes car! Everything was set I showed up the car was on the lift. They came and told me they didnt have the tool to take off the oil filter! They knew the make and model 5 days in advance! I decided to give them another chance. Now Im here for the appointment for my brakes. The manager told me it would be awhile about 3-4 hour even though I had an appointment! This some s**t! Never coming here again!

Definitely review your invoice when did they mention it or not they automatically will charge you a labor warranty fee check out their labor rates before agreeing to have any work done

I made it there a few minutes early and they opened right at 8am, which was great! Some other Pep Boys that I have been to have either opened later than what the hours stated or didn’t open at all. Patrick assisted me and he was very sweet. He assured me that he would call me when my car was ready. I liked this area because I was able to walk around and go to shops near by. When I was done, there was a little area in the back of the shop where I could wait. Patrick called me and I also received a text to let me know that my car was ready. Patrick had my keys ready and asked if I had any questions. This place was great and the service was awesome. Will definitely be coming here more for my car. I drove my car and she felt like a brand new car. Thanks Pep Boys- Northern!
