Shopping here is what I imagine a Soviet store would look like. Meat appears rancid. Horrible commissary.

Charleston weapons station commissary is a wonderful place to go food shopping it has everything from chicken in a biscuit to dietary needs, to potato chips they have potato chips coffee creamer they have wonderful fresh fruit they have an awesome Deli they have great selection of meat and chicken and coffee creamers the employees there are wonderful. The chicken man has no idea what hes doing but he puts out a lot of chicken cannot answer a lot of questions though the cashiers or on their toes the baggers work for tips only but they are wonderful they put the stuff in the car for you for a slight fee I usually charge them 5% of my total bill or they have a check out section where you could do it yourself if you like to ring up your own products they have a good fresh cake section they have good cookies the sodas are reasonable I like the Jones root beer and cream soda thats a pretty good price I would have to say they have tent sales. Its awesome

The prices is so much better than Joint Base Air Force Base Commissary.

The check our was fast and the lady bag our stuff was great.

Quality and friendship. Experiences you dont expect when shopping. More places could learn from the customer service that is provided from the commissary.

This may be a small commissary, but its super nice! The employees are the BEST! So nice and helpful. As a disabled veteran I need to use their electric scooters to shop. I greatly appreciate that they keep them well maintained and charged. I also appreciate that theres always been a scooter available for me to use. This commissary is an absolute joy to shop.

It’s amazing to me how nice all the baggers here and they rely on tips only, yet the cashiers who work here are so rude and they get paid hourly. Y’all are always out of so much. It’s not even worth it to shop here.

Small Commissary, rarely fully stocked and doesnt sell beer.

The best. Ive been shopping here for over 11 years, and the people here are some of my closest friends. Theyve been so good about requiring masks and keeping the place clean. They have the acrylic barriers at the register and they said they sanitize the place every single night. They limit who can go on what days so active duty are not unnecessarily exposed. They make sure everyone follows the rules. If you even let your mask fall down on your face, they make sure you put it back up. I can always depend on finding everything exactly where it has always been. Shopping here is like going home after going out to other stores and finding people not wearing masks to protect others. Thanks so much for everything you do. As of this writing, none of their employees have gotten sick. That says a lot about a place. The manager here is a woman, and she is an excellent example of how things should be. P.S. Ive been buying produce here for years and always thought it spoiled a little too soon. Then I got a new fridge. It was my fault all along. Their produce lasts me almost 3 weeks if I store and handle it correctly. Best produce Ive found, except for a local farmers market. If by chance, some produce I buy here is not the best, they will refund my money or give me new.

Havent had zest soap in quite some time and shelves were empty for the most part.

Undersized for the number of active duty and retired customers it serves. When the checkout line is nearly to the back of the store, that should be a hint to management. The meat prices are very good compared with local supermarkets, it just makes me wonder where it comes from. Lowest bidder?

Very quiet today !. Looking for a German product ( senfgurken ) pickled cucumber. They didnt have any.

Always handy...staff are always helpful. Today the shelves were not fully stocked, though. Seem like the delivery trucks did not make it. All in all, I always save money!😄 Happy retiree!

It is what it is. I shop there infrequently due to the commissary being limited on non frozen product and registers that go down all the time. Especially is the self service lane and in the mean time you have 4 store employees congregated around another register

Cant beat the prices. Still sparse on some items but thats the times we live in now. Wish they sold Kraft white cheddar mac and cheese. Appreciate their section featuring local farms.

The Best in the area. The meat department team is the best I have ever dealt with. They are always ready to assist and give advice. Yes, they do know what they are talking about. It a little smaller than some others we have been to but Better in many ways. It has a feeling that the employees like their job and always friendly.

Always good deals to find. The produce is fresh and the selection on variety is good. They have upgraded the self check-out lines, made more and with more space to place groceries.

The meat selection was better this week. I noticed they raised a lot of prices. Sadly aside from meat and some essentials they are making it not worth the monthly trip my mother and I take. I hope these price increases are temporary.

The produce is inexpensive but mishandled. Usually it rots before the “best by” date. The selection of other products is inconsistent and unpredictable. I find better value, freshness, and consistent selection at Trader Joe’s, Aldi, and WalMart. Also, the manager and supervisors at NWS Commissary are rarely available and off more than working. When they are in store, they are rude, hateful, nasty, and seem to have a “chip” on their shoulder. This “benefit” is definitely not worth the 24 years I served and since AAFES was turned over to civilian contractors decades ago, has lost it’s benefit to veterans.

I love this place. They have great prices. The deli counter always has free cookies for my kids, and the employees are always friendly. My favorite time to go is a Tuesday morning. They do occasionally run out of things, but it is a commissary. Thats normal. The NWS commissary is a lot less crowded than the AFB commissary, and I have found the NWS commissary employees to be a lot more polite and helpful.

Living in Summerville SC we dont make it there to shop often, but when the pantry and freezer are bare it is well worth the trip. Prices are better overall than other stores and they have high quality meats. Store has a very good assortment of products

Nice commissary. Very large and spacious aisles. The wife and I are impressed and cant wait to come back. Its much closer to where we live versus going all the way to Joint Base Charleston. Good selection of meats, fruits and hard to find items that we used to see at our previous assignment.

Shopping at NWS was awesome!!! There was no long lines. Matter of fact, there was no lines at all. This makes shopping sweet. Great job NWS!!!

It seems like everytime I drive out here there is no meat on the shelves. The veggies arent the greatest sometimes. The prices on every day items are pretty decent.

We do the majority of our shopping here. The meat is definitely cheaper but not always the freshest. The produce is not always the freshest - I wish they would buy better quality stuff. Sometimes its not worth it to buy the produce so I have to go somewhere else for that. Friendly service, restrooms not always the freshest.

Its been awhile since Ive been in the commissary. Pleasant, friendly employees with a great selection of products, some of which you cant find anywhere else. And you definitely cant beat the overall cost savings.

With the act that went into place on January 1, 2020 Veterans are now allowed to use the commissary to make purchases. Unfortunately they still give you a hard time and its not worth the hassle. I was finally able to go in here and shop and upon getting a cart full went to go check out only to be hassled about my VHIC card. After arguing and telling the person I was fed up with the turn of events this place does she said I had the wrong ID but I assured here I didnt and that I had the new VHIC. Due to this happening I told them I would never be back.

Good value for products, but customer service is lacking. Visited again today, saw a great deal on Planters Mixed Nuts and Cashews. Two different prices in the store at different locations. Of course the check out register charged the higher cost..

I’m very happy that this commissary exists as an alternative to the JB. The employees here care about the facility. The produce & meat sections are always well organized & clean. The overall appearance is top-notch. Everyone is friendly & you can tell they enjoy working here. This is now my go-to commissary.

Always very clean and organized, helpful staff, varied selection. Special diet needs can be satisfied here such as kosher and gluten free.

I was yelled at because I bought too many tissues, then accused me of doing it before, she lied I had not been there for 3 months before all this started. I am 70 years old I am scared to go back there.

I have been to many commissary throughout the United States. This is a small one but nice and very convenient. Everyone has there problems, but you have rude customers as well. But that no excuse for rudeness from anyones. But you never know what that person going through in life. Just show a little patience sometime. I have worked in two different commissary, youre there to service the patrons. But the customers also have a responsibility to be respectful of the workers. Dont treat someone like they are less then you are. The base in Forest Park, GA was closed. You never know what you have until its too late. Enjoy the benefits of having a great place to shop.

Ive been to better Commissaries, but this one is adequate. It would be nice if they could sell milk with a sell-by date longer than a week.

This commissary is a little on the smaller side, but it is clean, the staff is friendly and they do have some good deals occasionally. Their selection is not complete,however, i usually am missing one or two things and It somehow feels like a hassle to shop there though compared with popping into a regular grocery store...

This commissary is helpful when we are in the area. However...while they do have some Organic products, they dont have everything that I usually buy organically.

Watch out for expiration dates on everything you buy. Closed on Mondays. Surcharge eliminates almost all savings.

Worst customer service of any grocery store Ive ever been in hands down, including the oblivious store manager. With the exception of very few employees, they are all rude, unfriendly and unhelpful and act like they dont have the time to deal with you. The quality and selection of what the store keeps in stock is poor, especially the produce, and I cannot count how many times Ive managed to make it home with an item that was out of date. I constantly check dates when I am here because it seems all they sell is food that is about to go out of date very soon. OH AND I love how their prices fluctuate so much, especially when its PAYDAY! Wouldnt recommend this place if you dont have to shop here.
