Grand Forks has a ton of gems. This coffee shop is one of them, great music, good coffee. If you are working remote definitely spend a day of work here.
Good coffee and great ambiance make for a great place in Grand Forks to either start your day or wind down. Bring your computer and stay for hours for work or play. The staff is also always very friendly. While the coffee is not life changing, its still very good. Everyone needs to experience hanging our at the Urban Stampede.
Quiet coffeehouse located in the downtown area. Lots of construction going on when I visited mid September, so parking and navigating to the shop was a little tricky. But the venue is nice and quiet. Several college students inside studying. Over a dozen tables blended with chairs and benches. Handicap accessible bathroom. Unique venue! Good coffee and plenty of electrical outlets.
Cutest little coffee shop, and full of personality. Barista was super friendly, coffee was delicious and the atmosphere was so quaint and eclectic! There were lots of different coffee drinks to choose from, teas, etc as well as pastries to enjoy with your coffee. The cafe was reminiscent almost of an old bar with a long solid wood bar top. Lots of cozy seating if sitting at the bar isn’t quite what you are looking for. Urban Stampede will fast becomes my new favorite coffee shop to visit when I’m in Grand Forks the next time!
Shoutout to the sweet girls who worked yesterday. Every time I come in these girls literally make my day. Not only do they make the best drinks and make it right but they go above and beyond to make sure my man and I have the best experience. We recently moved from colorado and had a local coffee shop that we loved and the staff were also so kind so we truly appreciate having a new place that makes us feel welcome and at home. They’re truly so sweet and deserve the appreciation! And shoutout to the sweet girl who went in to cover on a school day. This place is lucky to have such amazing individuals working for them.
Great local coffee shop. My girlfriend and I go once a week for a morning coffee date. The service is always excellent, the employees kind and informative, and coffee flavorful. My girlfriend enjoys their specialty drinks, and appreciates their ability to accommodate her lactose intolerance. I like their espresso; their roast is nice and smooth. The decor is well done, and helps make for a warm and fun place to spend a cold ND morning.
This is the best coffee in town out of the ones I tried. Friendly staff, very nice atmosphere.
Solid coffee shop. Nice atmosphere, fast service, generally a nice local business.
Great drinks AND food, which usually isn’t the case—nothing here will disappoint! Plenty of milk alternatives are available, and there’s no extra charge for them, which is fantastic. There aren’t any bad coffee shops in town, but Urban Stampede is a strong candidate for #1.
Absolutely beautiful decor, great choices, the lattes tasted like coffee and not straight sugar, and the outside tables were amazing! Great local coffee shop to be at. Baristas were incredibly nice too!
Love this place!! Drinks are delicious and the inside is inviting. Great selection of milk alternatives, with some drinks featuring them (the iced salted caramel latte is my favorite). Prices are fair, and there is even an app so you can order ahead!
The only place in town I get my chai from. Beautiful aesthetic, friendly employees and chill vibe
Fantastic coffee shop in the heart of downtown Grand Forks. Everytime I go, I swear I find something new in the artwork decorating the walls. The staff are unfailingly polite and friendly. The coffee is spectacular and I adore the seasonal drink selection.Best of all, they mandate masks while not at your table and drinking. Hand sanitizer is readily available. They arent shy about reminding patrons that faces must be covered when up and about.
Favorite place to do homework and study! Seating is limited and not always available so keep that in mind!
Such a delight every time I go here! Good for people who dont like coffee, too! Lots of choices. I always come here when Im back in town to meet up with friends!
Great place to be! Wonderful coffee... In fact it has wrecked all other coffees for me! Owners strive for the best product and best experience for all customers.
Had a cold brewed coffee and also found out the have a seasonal menu.
Being from a larger city, its pretty refreshing to have a third wave shop like this. Quality coffee, lowkey appeal and the artwork will make you feel like the underground art scene never left.
Very nice place to get hot cocoa!
Some of the best espresso in Grand Forks and super friendly staff! Dont miss the agave miel or the cortado.
Nice coffee shop.
, if you like expensive good coffee go there its a nice place
Urban stampede has really upped their game in the past few years. They are now the best coffee in town and have pretty good baked goods too.
This a great local place for coffee, it very nice and clean, the prices are very reasonable and the pastries are very good.. it a good to go and relax or just meet with friends or to go study or read a book, the staff is very helpful and friendly...
Favorite little coffee shop in town. Great atmosphere to catch up with a old friend and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.
Good prices, excellent drinks, got served really quickly, and the atmosphere inside is perfect for studying or having a nice conversation, really cool building, and it always feels nice to support a local business.
Would be nice if the owner could do her job and turn the music down when asked.Old management could control their workers. She clearly cannot.
Nice little Coffee shop with some great bagels!
So happy to walk in and order a delicious tea. Had the London Fog with a touch of lavender syrup. Dee light full!
My favorite place to get a coffee. Friendly staff and fun environment!
Pricey and not very tasty
The salted caramel iced coffee with oat milk is fantastic!!
Today was my first visit. The Barista was very friendly. She took my order and it was ready in no time. I got a giant peanut butter cookie and it was soft and chewy. Nice compliment to the raspberry mocha that was on special today. Will most certainly come again when Im downtown.
I love their salted caramel iced coffee
Really good service and atmosphere. Sometimes the lattes and mochas are a bit on the heavy side, but now that I know how to order Im a happy customer every time! Really good drip coffee too!
This was one of my favorite places to get coffee and visit with friends. Its still a nice place with a fairly wide range of choices in beverages. Acoustics are okay but not ideal for private conversations. Downtown presents a challenge for parking but thats not The Stampedes fault, but a factor in enjoying a cup or two there. The worlds smallest art gallery is a plus.
Beautiful, gorgeous building in which to sit and have coffee. Coffee was great, too, but I feel like the venue made this place. A must-stop in downtown GF.
Such a cute place to go I went for a hang out date and we had a ton of fun. Great atmosphere and most of all coffee
Much cleaner inside. Havent been able to get there much in the last six monthsTheir peppermint tea is awesome. Quiet today which was nice.
Urban is the BEST place to study, meet up, or to just enjoy a cup of coffee! ☕️ I love the character of the older downtown building! The staff are so welcoming and friendly! Overall just a great place to be!
I love its low-key appeal. Not a generic coffee house like Starbucks - full of dark wood, ambience and character.
I was shown Urban Stampede for the first time by one of my newer friends last summer. Since then, Urban has been a constant hangout spot for us. As weird as it sounds, Urban will always have a special place in my heart. (Their mocha big trains are amazing btw.)
The staff couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating, and the drinks are amazing too! Can’t wait to come back. Can’t recommend it more. Will be my new home away from home (great place to work too).
Great coffee with awesome conversation and great vibe!
Chill and quiet place, excellent service
It was dark and depressing, hot and stuffy inside. The barista had the personality of an eggplant. Coffee was mediocre at best. Ill stick with The Ember. They use Twenty Below coffee beans which is far superior to most any other locally roasted beans.
My favorite place to get my coffee fix
Pretty cool! Really aesthetically pleasing
Great aesthetic and great coffee. I went there with some friends before school and I loved it.
Very nice cafe
What a fun place! I am here visiting from Arkansas. Coming in here reminds me of all the fun times shopping downtown at Penneys, buying fireworks at Hoffmans and dreaming and wishing for Christmas toys at Benners. Besides the memories, my raspberry mocha was very, very good and the ambiance is so calming and serene. Nicole was VERY friendly and my experience here was wonderful. Heres to another 25 years. Forget other coffee shops....come, enjoy, and endorse your local business!
Always a pleasure to sit and have coffee!
I found it really good but the other two people said they didnt like theirs maybe I just like black coffee too much!
I’ve always loved this place in forks, anytime I have friends visiting town I take them here! Also, best London dog in town
The best coffee spot in Grand Forks
One of the best Mochas Ive ever had. True quality coffee shop.
Sweet coffee shop. Used to be an old time bank. Still has vault haaaaa
Coffee not as fresh as it used to be. Servers not customer service friendly (i.e. forgetting about pouring the coffee). Outside tables great, though
The iced chai was sweet, milky bliss. I didnt know what chai was but it is the Indian term for tea. I am a California desert native and chai must be a long lost cousin of the Mexican drink Horchata. The atmosphere wasnt ruined with too many customers.
Chai latte is not that great. Tastes like Starbucks. Atmosphere is good though.
Everytime we are in town we have to stop. Food, service, and atmosphere are the best!!!
Excellent choices
Omg they are just so nice in there and there Key lime pie Italians sodas are awesome hubby loves there coffee
Best coffee place in town, not your stuffy atmosphere,
Strange place, coffee isn’t very good. Definitely a hipster hangout.
Urban Stampede was the first coffee shop I went to in Grand Forks and it’s by far the best one. Cool atmosphere, better coffee.
6 stars for all the fabulous people in grand forks i did not see in july. the barista living upstairs and the newly engaged lady, were part of a healing three days. thank you all so very much being in g.f. is, ... you know ...
Best coffee place in town!
Very friendly staff, quick and pleasant. Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
Staff here is always super friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable and cozy. Best coffee shop in town!
Great coffee and a great atmosphere whether you are studying or meeting a friend!
The person behind the counter was less then friendly. He had a beard and a man-bun and wouldnt speak any louder then a whisper to me and my friends. He was very unfriendly. When asked for recommendations he didnt say anything just shrugged.
One of our favorite places to stop when we are in Grand Forks.
Awesome place and customer service!
Delicous!!
Really good drinks
I love it
