I recently brought my Chevelle in to Baker’s to have the posi track rear end check. I have had prior work done having a turbo 400 and a new converter built for high performance use. Both have worked flawlessly and beyond expectation. Cole did a full diagnosis and discovered the posi unit was worn out and one of the axles was starting to show bearing wear. I received the quote and told Cole to proceed. He called 1 day earlier than promised and told me the car was ready. I drive this car on the street and drag race with the car. I was totally pleased with the service and the work done. The car now performs much better and is more consistent. I would highly recommend Baker’s for work done.

Spent $7000 on a trans repair. After 30 k on the rebuild, throwing a code. Called to talk with someone knowledgeable and was told no one could talk to me. Thedingbat in charge of service writing obviously knows nothing technical about transmissions or anything mechanical. Sad story.

Took my leaky transmission in for diagnosis. Told me it was leaking but couldnt find from where, but recommended a rebuild for $2200. If you cant find the leak Im not sure you should rebuild the trans. Work order stated test drive with computer scan and scan for trouble codes. 1979 car with no computer or diagnostic ports to scan for trouble codes.Cant say Id recommend this shop.

We needed the radiator transmission oil cooler flushed. Baker had the state of the art equipment, they took plenty of time explaining what we could expect- good and bad. Everyone was courteous and helpful.

The project we brought them did not go well. They stuck with it, took a little longer, stuck to their price, and made sure everything was correct. A business that operates on quality and integrity.

They did an amazing job on my cars 40yo transmission. Its basically brand new and at a reasonable price.The only issue I had was that after a car wash, I noticed the paint on the car was covered in hard water spots, possibly from testing it on wet roads and/or leaving it outside while waiting on parts. Now I gotta take it to a detail shop.But Id definitely recommend this place to anyone

Gave me an estimated completion date but didn’t contact me to let me know that they were not going to get the job finished due to a delay in receiving parts. I had to reschedule my ride for the 30 miles to pickup my vehicle. Additionally, there was grease all over the underside of the sun visor.

Had a 4L60E rebuilt with the guys at Bakers and so far its shifting like a champ again. Price was a little higher than what I would have liked, but I wanted this thing completely redone, so I understand and didnt trust anyone else with it.

In November of 2019 we had the transfer case assembly, replaced in our 2007 Ford Edge .Baker transmission did a wonderful job, it was completed when Marc told us it would be and at the price they quoted us. Ive always heard great things about Bakers and with my putting a new engine in my 06 Ford F150 and 180+ miles on it I thought I should have the transmission fully checked out because Im going to drive my truck as long as possible. Glen was my point person who listened to me, took down notes and went over the whole plan. I had a transmission shift linkage problem that was making my pickup truck nearly undriveable. They were able to squeeze me in and repair it while I waited. The cost was very reasonable. Bakers is a scrupulous, honest shop. I recommend them.My 1991 Nissan Pathfinder had what I thought was a slipping transmission. A transmission slipping after 180+K miles seemed reasonable, so I prepared myself for the high dollar hit of a transmission repair or replacement. It turned out that my ability to diagnose my SUVs issues is sorely lacking ...Bakers thoroughly checked it out and let me know the transmission is fine, just a slight misfire on acceleration. This was remedied by my regular mechanic with a tune-up (new set of spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap). Bakers only charged me a modest diagnosis fee when they could have taken advantage of this armchair mechanics misdiagnosis of a slipping transmission. Thanks again guys!

These guys tackled a tough job on my 69 Jeepster Commando. They installed a 3:1 conversion kit for my transfer case and hunted down a much better rebuilt T-15 transmission for me to go with it. I was under the gun for a Moab trip and they pulled through for me. Many miles of four wheeling later its still working flawlessly. I highly recommend them and will be using them in the future.

Had my 99 f250 diesal In there for various work. They did a fantastic job and where very nice and helpful. They explained thoroughly the work they had to do and gave me accurate estimates up front. About a month later I had a lube shop tell me the transmission gasket was leaking. Took it in to baker because they had changed it previously and they inspected it for free. Will be taking my truck here in the future. They are a little expensive but you get what you pay for ! Originally I was told by another shop my transmission needed overhauled, baker looked into it and said it only needed a service. Its good to know there is honest shops still out there.

5.0 star rating 6/22/2019Kspooner Ridgway Colorado2016 Ram Power Wagon 66RFE transmission was setting a P740 fault code TCC out of range.on recall dealer replaced 2 solenoid packs for problem, no help.lost confidence in their ability to trouble shoot.I took the truck to Bakers Transmission, Service Adviser Glen listened to my problems reviewed what the Dealer had done and had the owner and one of his fine Technicians identify a suspected torque converter, after pulling transmission and inspecting the torque converter internal parts they were not satisfied with finding and took the initiative to inspect further, finding a bad and misaligned spring in the TCC Accumulator valve.Front pump was overhauled and problem was fixed. Very reasonable cost and Fantastic trouble shooting!Thank you
