These guys were great! Had a bit of a situation with a after market Toyota exhaust that cost over $700 and didnt quite fit. Called and scheduled for my next available day off(Im in Moab) and showed up before 8am when they opened. Even though I was early they opened the doors and I explained what was going on with my truck. 30 minutes later after walking to main street for breakfast they called with a solution and I said go for it. Hour and a half almost to the dot like I was told by Scottys and I got another call saying they were done! It was awesome! Nice guys every single one I spoke to. These guys know what theyre doing.Price was what I expected. Labor and parts costs are the standard rate at Scottys, so reviews complaining of price for their work isnt really accurate. (Welding, cutting, bending, material, labor) You pay for what you get and Ill definitely go back.Thanks again guys

I needed a hitch and they were super helpful. The hitch does not fit however. Tomorrow I will return and see if they can fix it. Edit: again, same dude same service. 100% recommend trying them out.

Huge thanks and shout-out to Scottys muffler!! I had a problem with my Harleys exhaust today while on a touring trip... the mufflers weld broke and caused the muffler to slide back detach itself from the header pipe. I called Scottys (as it came up in Google as the closest place that would likely have a welder at the ready) and they said to bring it right over to take a look. They were able to re-weld the muffler to the pipe, secure them back to the frame, and I was on my way again in around 15 minutes. I wont state the price I paid but it was way less than I was expecting for an emergency repair, and was MUCH less that they probably could have charged me! Thanks again!!!! I appreciate the help, the caring, and the honesty and trust. I would highly recommend Scottys for anyone in the Grand Junction area.

Had a noisy muffler for my rock crawler. I had replaced it with a smaller one to move it out of the way when I lived in San Diego; however, that was really noisy. After putting up with the noise for a couple years I visited Scottys just for a consultation; however, they were able to solve the problem for me the same day while retaining the small profile I need while off road.

I had my car serviced at Scottys and they replaced a water pump that failed a month ago and my car was just about to explode and couldnt drive it back to them because I was far and they had already closed.To make it short my car got serviced at another garage that was near by and it turned out to be the water pump so I had it taken care of and coming home I realized that scottys had already done the same job 9 months ago and still under warranty I contacted them and have been reaching out every week and basically all Im getting is all this rules about the warranty and not getting any solution to anything. So disappointed at the way how they been handling the whole situation. Not even a complimentary call to let me know how things are advancing in terms of if they are going to be responsible or not for my expenses.

I moved to GJ a few months ago and drive a ‘97 F150. My first experience with Scotty’s was the result of a referral regarding a long-standing ‘mystery’ rattle. Many ‘pros’ had tried to troubleshoot it, all were unsuccessful. Sure enough Scotty’s found what turned out to be fairly obvious (in hindsight), and quickly quieted the rattle with some intricate welding, and welded some other ‘potential’ problem areas too. Problem fixed for less than $100..., after spending much more for other failed attempts.And just today (01/18/2021) I was very pleasantly surprised that what I assumed might require an engine tear-down (horrible engine rattle), turned out to just be a sticking lifter... remedied by an engine flush and fresh oil change. Again, minimal cost.The facility is clean, efficient, and the folks (only recall Matt, and Troy) were pleasant and professional. There’s a refreshing atmosphere that you’re going to be treated fairly, and that you’re not going to be gouged on unnecessary work.Undoubtedly my old truck will have another issue, but for now I’m happy knowing I have a trusted place to go. Thank you to the Scotty’s team.

I absolutely love taking our vehicles to Scotty’s. I had a main mechanic with Integrity Kar Kare whom I found out permanently closed and was stressed to find a good honest place to take our vehicles. Since Scotty’s I will never go anywhere else. Very happy with their professionalism, quality of work and very short times to get the job done. They always text us to follow up and make sure our vehicles are doing ok after any work is done. I would give this business a 10 star rating if I could. I came in with a problem planning to fix it by buying a part which was 1300..instead of the fixing something that had nothing to do with what I brought the car in for, they checked my car out for me and told me I can get get that part however it wont help the problem and they proceeded to take my car for the day and assist me with the underlying issue before buying the expensive part! Absolutely the best customer service by the owner Rodney! Really appreciated the straight forward honesty and professionalism. Will be going here for everything!

I cant say enough about the staff and the service at Scottys. Who could have ever thought you could talk about auto repair and integrity in the same sentence? There may be other good places in town, but Ill continue to take my vehicles to Scottys.

Was told it would take 2 days to complete a clutch assembly. Ended up taking them 5 days and was charged for the broken bolts they broke. Worst customer service in town will not use again. Called in twice to get an update and was told it was too much work going on to get an update. Ended up paying 3x the amount I’ve paid before getting a clutch job done . Stay away.

We were passing through town late in the day in our RV and were concerned about new noises we heard. When we called, Rodney was able to see us first thing the next morning. Diagnosis was made & repairs done timely & we were on our way again safely. We were worked in to an already full scheduled day for them. We hoped for honesty & integrity and got it!

Everybody in town recommended Scottys for professional alignments, so I have taken my van there every time.My most recent visit, I was informed that I would need a new steering rack to make the alignment work; play and leak in the rack.As well as, they had discovered that a wheel hub was bad, causing the ABS light to come on intermittently and also creating noise going over bumps.They charged me nothing on good faith that I will return for an alignment once I replace the parts, which I absolutely will.They also offer a great price on the labor, especially if you print out the $59.95 coupon that is always on their website.

Didnt waste my time with an alignment while I still needed to do more work on my car. Also treated me like I was a competent individual and didnt push their services on me. Matt walked me through all of the parts I needed to replace and made recommendations on things that I might just do anyways so I wouldnt need another alignment too soon.

As a single naive to vehicles female, I trust them. (I know a little about mechanics but not a lot and Im always afraid of being overcharged or scammed) they came outside and showed me what certain fluids are supposed to look like and what mine looked like... I VERY much appreciated that. Also, when I asked a mechanic friend about price it was reasonably priced. I will be bringing my vehicle back and highly recommend them.

I had issues with my van running smoothly, so I started calling around to find out prices for a diagnostic test. Scottys only charged $45 where some other places wanted $90+ for the same testing. When I took my van in, they were friendly and thorough. When they figured out the issues, and gave me a very low priced quote to fix it, I gave them the go ahead. They called me back in less than two hours saying my van was ready! I picked it up and its been driving great ever since. I just dropped it off again today for more stuff. Definitely recommend Scottys for all your auto car needs!

I was in with my company car, a 2019 Chevy Equinox for a regular oil change. Scottys didnt have the air filter it needed but ordered it in and called me the next day. I have had this vehicle in several quick lubes in town and every time they noted the air filter needing replaced but never took the time to order it in. Kudos to Scottys for taking the extra time to provide great service! I appreciate the waiting room vs sitting in the car during the oil change also.

Matt is nothing but a liar. Says he didnt even touch my alignment. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone i picked my car back up with the toe out two inches wasnt like that when i dropped it off. What the issue here what a bunch of spun junctions finest working here this is exactly why i dont use mechanic shops.

I took my truck in to get my A/C fixed and they told me it was the expansion valve. Charged me $400 to replace it and recharge the system which lasted all of 3 weeks. So I called them and took it back and they said they had messed up to valve somehow but to their credit owned up and fixed it, which also only last about 3 weeks so I take it back in and now their saying it’s actually the condenser and want to charge me $500 to fix it. This place is a joke. I have gotten my oil changed there for 2 years but if that’s the way the run business I’m gunna have to find a new line shop.

Scotty’s was a great help when our car encountered problems on a cross country trip. They were highly recommended by the staff at our hotel as competent and honest. We brought the car to them in the morning and they got us on the road again three hours later. They offered shuttle service to drop us back at our hotel and picked us up when the work was complete. Luke was very professional, and provided me with exceptional customer service. I have been disappointed with other car care centers in Grand Junction, so this experience was very refreshing. I was treated with respect, and was not over-charged for the service provided, which often happens to someone in my situation. I took my truck into Scottie’s to have it fixed and about a year later I ended up with the same exact problem as before. I called and was told to bring my truck back in and they would bring it in 1st thing in the morning as soon as they opened up. They told me this because I was coming into Grand Junction. from out of town. When I took my truck in they told me it wouldn’t even be taken in until after 9:00. I told them that if they couldn’t even get My truck in until 9 that I needed my keys back because I had a meeting to be at by 9. I then called to speak with the manager and was treated badly by him as well. He told me that they were trying to help me but they never told me about their Shuttle services until the very end of the phone call. The manager would not listen to what I was trying to say. I am a manager and as a manager it is your duty to listen to customer and try and resolve the problem. The sad thing is all I was trying to say is that maybe they need to speak with their employees or maybe do some training so that people aren’t given the incorrect information. So I will no longer take my vehicle to this place I will find a new mechanic.

I have been using Scottys for oil change service for quite awhile but this was the first time with them for a major repair. All of their staff were polite professional and took the time to communicate well in person and over the phone. The repairs that were done appear thus far to be satisfactory complete and correct. The price for parts and labor fair and competitive.

I went to Scottys for an oil change on Saturday. They quickly got me in and explained several options for oil available for my car. They had the services done quickly and when I got back in my car I found that they topped off other fluids, vacuumed the floors and washed my windshield. They are a local company with local values. I will continue to use Scottys as my go-to auto care specialists.

Way overpriced. They diagnosed the replacement of both oxygen sensors at a cost $745parts and labor I called three other Grand Junction auto repair shops for a quote on the replacement of the two sensors. The highest quote was $530 which was the local Honda dealership!! The other two quotes were within $20 of the delership. When I picked up my car I told the gentleman who checked me out about the price difference and his reply thats the markup on our parts. $200 more on a standard maintenance item is completely ridiculous. They also told me I needed a transmission fluid flush which I found strange since it was done 8,000 Mikes ago. When I took it to the dealership for the sensor replacement they said my transmission fluid looked fineRans

My car required a headlight change that could not be accomplished easily by the Lube service station st Scottys. But they immediately reached out to the under car service line who said they could get it done same day. I drove my car to the other building and they were willing to give me a ride to my house, and to come back and pick me up when the work was done. They thought it would be about 4 hours to complete the work since I did not have an appointment.Not only did they install the new headlights, they found my brake light bar was not working when they inspected all my auto lights. I was contacted by them with the quote of what it would cost, and why.This is the third time I have used Scottys and know I will use them for all my car needs, unless they cant do the work, and recommend I take it back to the dealership.Honest, fair, and do excellent work.

This was the best experience involving my car repair. Luke was most professional and ensured my car was repaired correctly. The crew went the extra mile and I got a great deal for the service they provided. It was an experience right out of the good old days when honesty, courtesy, and hard work were the norm.

Ive taken a couple dozen cars here, and every time its a great experience. The staff all remembers my name at this point and Mike can make every ride I drop off hit that magic exhaust note that is exactly the way I wanted it to sound. Even when I dont even know what I want I always leave with a huge smile. Ive never had a single experience that wasnt absolutely exemplary. Ill be taking the next 100 cars I own to Scottys and if I have kids that dont go there I will happily put them up for adoption.

I simply respect and trust Mike and the crew at Scottys. I had a check engine light that was coming one and I diagnosed it down to the catalytic converter on the drivers side. So I started calling around to get quotes and everyone was telling me that I would need to change out both and buy the one with new piping, etc and all the prices were $1100-$1500 minimum. I stopped in to see Mike, explained the issue and he said No, you dont have to change both, just the one giving you trouble. I asked for a price and he said $400, I said how much for both he said $800, but dont do it till you need to. I dropped it off, they checked it, yep, it was bad, $400. They checked the other one, nope, it was good, $0.00. Why go anywhere else?
