This is an awesome, often overlooked spot in GP. not sure why they got shuffled off down redwood. the staff has been great, the mask thing is what it is. kurtis in the deli is amazing beyond measure. i cant wait to get a buffalo burger from these cool katz

This little store feeds my Big-City-Portland-Hippy-Soul.Yes, the prices are a little higher than other shopping centers, but thats to be expected with quality goods, organics, and accommodating options for dietary restricted patrons.My go to spot for the specific goods I cant find at Big Brand Superstores.P.S.The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful

I wish they had oil-free pasta sauces. Great selection of bulk dry grains and beans. Mediocre beer selection but you cant complain cuz were in grant pass Oregon. Cashiers were super friendly and professional. I think I would like to work here. Its that nice.

Best selection in town for natural and organic goods. My only complaint is that some items you can find at stores like Safeway are much more overpriced here. Its a small store vs a chain though so it makes sense.

This a wonderful place to shop organic. The deli is excellent. The fresh veggies are competitively priced and presented beautifully. The folks there are a great team, knowledgeable helpful and friendly.

Lots of vegan options and bulk foods, bulk refills also available here (soap, oils, cleaning products, etc). You can bring your own container for bulk items.

This is like the Ashland CoOp for Grants Pass. They have a lot of great organic foods and a much better selection of supplements than Rite Aid or Walgreens. They also have a large bulk section.

Rude cashier and poor customer service. My neighborhood store, that I can walk too, that I wont use again. Been going here off and on for three years and the cashier is Always rude to customers- not just me. Now, she was rude to my child! He May look like an adult but hes only 13! Looks like Any other health food store, organic sections at other stores, are my solid go-tos now. Btw, if your business is Struggling, Just Maybe this is why. You let good your nice ones go, and this is who we have to deal with? No thanks.

Great grocery store, especially for this size of a town. Their produce is 100% organic so don’t have to hunt for the good stuff. They have a large bulk section and you can use your own container. Best of all, the prices are great!

Larger selection then I expected. Too much specialty foods - gluten fee, dairy free etc. Read the labels carefully. Excellent bulk spice and tea selection!

Love it. Got a delicious wrap/ turkey and cranberry! All kinds of fresh veggies. Etc. Ect.

Nice to have options in town

I love this place and what it’s for. But the customer service I just received from an elderly woman with gray hair was extremely unprofessional and rude. Also would advice not to buy the honey sticks at the counter. My daughter dropped one and I gave to the lady expecting her to dispose of it because it was on the FLOOR. Nope she just sticks it right back in with the rest.

The store is great. Produce was really fresh and premade sandwiches good too. In terms of Covid safety they get a C minus. Very hokey plastic mask worn by a clerk. No plexiglass. People try to sneak in without masks. People wearing masks with their noses sticking out so....if you want to be super careful get in and out as fast as possible.

Its a nice little quaint place great produce and wonderful different types of breads and some hard find Cheeses

Went in today, we have been mostly shopping at Cartwrights. Cartwrights employees have had cloth masks, cleaned the belt between people, and are wearing and changing gloves regularly. Gooseberry today, cashier was wearing only a face shield, no gloves, and I did not see the belt cleaned while I was there. Isles could be one way since they are so narrow, but if they are I didnt see it and it wasnt being enforced. I did not have to use a common pen to sign the receipt though so I did like that.

Looking for some healthy food that nobody else has, try this store. Nice produce too. Staff turnover so it makes me wonder about the management, but it seems to be getting better. Worth the stop.

Yesterday I had an experience at Goosberries that I found troubling. The entire refrigerated meat counter was bare but an employee said the counter was under repair but he could get me what I wanted from the freezer locker, which he did. However, when I went to the frozen foods freezers, I noticed a whole section of ice cream containers were very soft, and some containers were dripping their contents. When I got to check out, I let the checker know what was happening. Her reply - “oh yes we know about it - it defrosts every day but then it refreezes.” When I asked her whether there should be some concern about quality, she said “no, I buy the ice cream all the time and it’s good.” I suggested that management should be notified. Her reply, “well you’ve told me and they already know.” I tried to find out who the manager was or owner online but couldn’t so I’m writing this review.

I have been very impressed with the staffs expertise on a multitude of products. Even customers help out with info and recommendations. I love the vibe. Very friendly, helpful, social staff. I have never feel uneasy asking my goofy questions. Also, I am so grateful that staff will take you to the isle and show you where an item is. They have never just pointed and mumbled. That alone makes them one of my very favorite grocers.

Extremely pricy, but good products.

Purchased a quart of potato salad from the deli today. It’s a family favorite for summer meals. Red onions and green bell peppers have been added to original recipe. Don’t mind the red onions, however, who puts bell peppers in potato salad? If this ingredient continues to be added, I won’t be purchasing deli potato salad again — and note, I’ve purchased a lot of it over the years.

This was a breath of fresh air after not being able to find Sprouts stores around. We shopped here a couple of times a week. They have a great selection of health foods and organic foods. I would recommend trying this place. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Way too overpriced, and very rude tall Produce guy. The management was rude too, as though asking questions was an inconvenience to them. No one even says hi, or acknowledged me. Only one very young blonde girl was nice to me. It has a good selection of organic foods, but customer service, and pricing is terrible. Only reason I’m giving it two stars is because that one cashier was very nice, and made the shopping experience better.

The deli is super duper slow, consistently. The food is good, but if you order anything they have to prepare, be prepared to wait forever. They usually have 2 people staffed to run the whole deli. It’s sad, because I would get my breakfast and coffee there every day before work, but after a 30 minute wait today, I’m over it.

Gooseberries is definitely a health food store. Like most health food stores, they cater to those with more disposable income than most. They charge higher prices than they should because people think healthy should cost more. That said, they have a large selection of good, healthy food and goods that are tough to find just about anywhere else in JoCo. Ive been to their deli for breakfast and lunch and the fresh food there is great and worth the price, just be ready to wait for longer than you might think.

Nice selection of Whole Foods. Cashier was helpful and friendly. I went to the deli to place an order and neither of the 2 deli workers even acknowledged my presence. I stood at the counter looking at all the appetizing food and never had the opportunity to place my order. There were no other customers at the counter.

They deny food to those who wont submit to the slave-mask. Do not support them.

Have had decent experiences before but recently I went in looking for something specific, couldnt find it and when I asked the cashier she didnt seem Interested what so ever to help me and suggested it be in an isle that was irrelevant and when I asked if there was someone who could help me she didnt respond. Just that interaction alone wont have me coming back. The Farmers Market is 5/5 in service and products.

This store has most of what I need. I mostly go there for the freshest produce in town. Reasonable prices too.

I am so glad that Grants Pass has a store dedicated to offering staple organic produce at a great price. Plus who doesnt love the full service deli team and snack isle. I dont want to forget the sharp owner, the meat man, the dairy lady and specialty items team because they have always taken my special orders for any occasion, small or large. You all Rock! Shop here and help us keep their prices competitive.

Everything you need almost! Really could have more, the place is huge. I gave to back again I was only there once and didnt know where anything was. I wish maps would do interiors of stores by products and departments. Hows that for a suggestion.

Well stocked health food store with a great deli too. They offer a large selection of organic items along with herbal and homeopathic health items.

They messed up both of our sandwiches and it took about an hour for them to make two simple sandwiches no problem thank God lady that was leaving was so kind and came up before we even received are messed up sandwiches after waiting an hour and gave us half of her sandwich and that was good so her sandwich they made was good but our two sandwiches were messed up I think the dude was smoking too much reefer God help Oregon and dont drink the water there nobody drink the water there you will get Giardia and you will start pooping your pants and farting relentlessly everywhere if you dont understand what your Google it youll find out

Great place to find organic natural food. Kind of pricey hence the four stars. Customer service is fantastic though! :)

Love the store but very disappointed no one’s wearing gloves or mass so I don’t feel safe shopping here right now I hope that they change and the employees are giving mask and gloves to wear so that we can all be safe

Come here often for a quick bite. Deli always has great stuff. Their made to order sandwiches are excellent, for the price they’re extravagant! All sorts of quality local foods!

Great service, the vegan cashier is always courteous & uplifting, and shares new food ideas which makes it easier for our family to adjust to a healthier eating style. Great selection of products for vegans, vegetarians, gluten free, Paleo, & even carries some good vitamins & alternative hygiene & beauty supplies. If u cant find it on a regular grocery store ( like my recent gluten free organic BBQ sauce) youll probably find it here & they other things as well! Love this store!

The deli is perfect for getting a great sandwich and salads one of my favorite is the cheese burger with organic cheddar and gluten free bun. Best tasting gluten free buns and bread, great selection of groceries with reasonable prices. Best bulk selection in Grants Pass.

Fun healthy always love my shopping experience here

I started shopping here when it was at its prior location. The store is well stocked on a variety of non-gmo processed items. Only complaint is that they dont always have a good variety of produce.

LOVE this place & their food but there is one lady in the deli that is so incredibly rude.. I won’t go there if she is there because of the past experiences I’ve had. A huge bummer that a place so great can be ruined by one awful employee.

I shop there for several specific item I cant find anywhere else in Grants Pass. Comments on staff: the new checkers ( as of February, 2018) are great - pleasant, helpful and quick. On the other hand anytime Ive asked for help from one of the roving staff in the store as soon as I get close all I can smell is tobacco smoke, they reek of it, so now I just avoid them and ask the checkers for help.

People were excellent. Bulk spices are so wonderful; clean with a large variety.

Great deals on breakfast food. I go there at least once a week to buy breakfast for my work crew.

Friendly staff. Beautiful organic prouduce. Everything organic. Small delivery with seating. A sitting area in what is called the community room is for people who bring their lunches or want to eat what they bought. There is a restroom. They have a little bit of everything.

Gooseberries has healthy food a wonderful Deli selection and friendly employees I highly recommend... my only constructive criticism is that they should have their soup served year-round because its amazing
