This store has so much things to choose from. The clothes, accessories, perfumes, house things and etc. Sometimes we come here to shop when some things are on sale. I recommend this department store.

We took our grandchild to the photo studio there. The photographer didnt seem overly experienced, but the photos turned out cute. She didnt work very hard to get him to smile. I worked harder! The areas in & around this studio need to be cleaned & updated!

Took a hard to fit friend for an outfit to wear to a wedding. The ladies in the Mens Department were so helpful, checking other stores for correct sizes. Offered a nice discount if he opened a credit account. It was a great experience.

Quiet and side areas (or behind displays on some areas seem to be very empty or lie stocked on purpose all the time tho . Staffing wise too hard to see staff when shopping if questions . But very clean kept up store .

Difficult to find the items I wanted and a skeleton crew so no one was available to ask for help. Sizes at Southridge were very poor.

Staff were pleasant and sales/prices were good. However it was really difficult to find an open fitting room or the return area, everything was closed but didnt direct where to go to find the appropriate area.This store is really getting run down. The fitting rooms are terrible. Amd the shelves are bare in many departments. There is much more empty floor space than merchandise. Very sad for those of us who love shopping JCP.

Need to get more people in costumer service to speed up the process of the register.

Associates were friendly. Store was pretty disorganized though. Coupons no longer apply to any clearance items.Hit and miss finding items.

The selection has seriously gone down, sections of the bottom floor are literally blocked off and theres nothing for sale like theres no inventory, I wouldnt be surprised if it shuts down. The staff by the girls clothes was so rude to a man there I felt so bad like eek just not great

Little unorganized in the store. Only 2 dressing rooms open. One for men and the other for women. No signs where the are, so you have to walk thru the whole store. Dressing rooms floor are old and dirty.

JCPenny has shifted its direction and now is a game-based entity. They serve beers and have a bowling alley, as well as endless arcade games and claw machines! Boy was I in for a surprise when I was heading out to do some shopping there and got to experience their company makeover. Theyre even open til 2am on weekends! Best department store Ive ever been to. Only one Ive seen with Connect 4 Hoops and horse racing arcade games. Will return immediately for more shopping. Saddle up! Yee-hawww!

Poor service! Charged the wrong amout. Paid more than. I was supposed to! No way to know what youre paying because they show you a piece and charge you but cannot print a rea.d it takes approximately 30 minutes to receive. Had a very old record on file with two of my children and due to the uniqueness of one of my childrens names they felt it was a misspelling and decided to remove it and said, We felt it was the right thing to do. It was an insult.

Customer service in jewelry could really use more training. This lady knew nothing just was a bad experience. She did try though,so I was trying to work with her but end up not just getting nothing.

They have nice stuff but always a shortage of bigger sizes which leaves me ending up buying online on JC warehouse or goings somewhere else

There was only one employee working the register in the children’s dept around 4 PM on a Saturday.As we all know, those of us who have worked in retail, you can go from dead quiet to 20 people in line in a split second. As it happened this particular day we all seemed to get there and get in line at the same time. There were about 10 of us in line Suddenly. Paris, The young woman running this check out station did call for help, however no one came. In this day and age, places seem to run much leaner than they used to. Anyway, Paris did a lovely job! She kept everyone in line engaged and smiling, all while working at lightening speed! I feel like this girl, With this kind of positive attitude and Work ethic is a real asset! This situation could’ve gone downhill really fast but it did not! Kudos to Paris! Continue to hire good quality employees like this, and I will continue to shop at your brick and mortar store! Great job!

Several sports related clothing items that were just what I was looking for. They usually do have a good selection available.

Great deals but they do not have the merchandise to buy. Very limited on Adidas clothing for youth boys. Otherwise clean and associates very helpful.

I found alot of great deals and made a huge dent on my Christmas shopping. Great selection.

Well actually it needed a little work because some of them you cant tell who working there and who not because they dont got no uniforms on they just got regular clothes on.

Optical center. Good selection of frames. Friendly staff. Sometimes there is a wait but usually not long. Not very expensive. Their 2 for $99 deal is great.

Very bad service a worker didnt allow me and my husband to get out through the door that leads to the mall because they were about to close although our car was parked soo far away and downstairs she didn’t even allow us to go down stairs i have arthritis i suffered that night i fell off the outside stairs it was dark and the outside stairs were so bad im disabeled do to health issues so its very difficult for me to climb so many stairs the worker is heartless and was very very rude to us I hope she suffers the way she made me suffer and i hope she gets fired from her job i think shes a narcissist

OK so everyone knows a trip to South Ridge would not be complete without stopping at Pennys for a little shopping trip for the latest fashions or to get some ear rings or perfume. It makes me so sad that some Pennys are closed but South Ridge is probably closer to my house anyway and it is usually not crowded anyway.

Joyce is a disgrace. Customer service was awful. Why would you tell a person refund values at the time of purchase? And your system is down so you berate your customer that is looking up their own info FOR you. Closing my account here. No wonder they are going bankrupt.

JC Penney, always has great bargains and great products. I have shopped with them during the last year or so, and I have saved hundreds of dollars.

When you walk into this store youre surrounded by high end products which is nice, but the prices go from low to EXTREMELY high. Its a strange environment, the employees dont make eye contact at all. They all seem to want to be somewhere else. I understand who would rather be at home then at work? But, you could at least put an ounce of energy into your work. Just try at the very least. Its like a ghost town when you walk through the store. Most times the cosmetics counters are empty, no ones there and the jewelery counter is always empty. Where is everyone, is the thought that goes through my head when I walk through.

Susie in the window treatment dept is the best. So efficient and knowledgeable about blinds. Walked out with a complete order of blinds for my entire cottage. Thx Susie!!

Its been a long time since Ive been to a JCPenney store. Its actually pretty nice and they have a lot of great deals. All of the staff were very friendly. I got a nice winter hat and winter gloves that were originally $50 total but I got them for just under $15.

I know it was the Thursday Thanksgiving sale, but the employees were totally unhelpful. Youd show the ad of what you were looking for and they just didnt know where anything was. A sign for 3/4 length Ts that were on sale held all long sleeved. I then went to the table for the long sleeved ones and there were only a few over there. I do have to say the gentleman over there was totally clueless, but kind and willing to look at the other table so I wouldnt have to walk. I had just broken some toes the day before and was trying to walk as little as possible. The place was a total disaster, not the fault of the employees, I am disgusted with the public for being so unruly. My daughter went looking for shoes. They said they had WW, but she couldnt find any wides. We left with only a couple things. We never did find some of the I on our list. We gave up.

I had my grandson go for a photo session. The first time we got there they said they couldnt take us (even though we had an appt) and we had to reschedule. The second time we had a woman who was rude and didnt even try to make him smile. I asked for the male photographer and both Van and Nick were amazing. I called 3 times to talk to the manager of the photo studio and no one could even call me back!! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Im still waiting for a call and its been 3 weeks.

Extremely disappointed with photo dept.at Southridge location. My granddaughter had an appointment for her 6 month old /family pictures today. This appointment was made several weeks ago to accommodate family members busy schedules. My daughter contacted the studio a few hours prior to the sitting and was told her reservation was lost, that her coupon wouldnt be honored, and that they could not fit her in any time during the day. Incredibly poor customer service with absolutely no attempt to rectify the problem. I understand why many parents are having their childrens photos taken by independent photographers.

Every item seemed incredibly overpriced even the sale and clearance items. No associates to be found when you need help either. You would honestly be better off skipping this store and shopping almost anywhere else. I feel like they should give me my time back for even stepping into that store.

My experience in the salon was nice, but the store itself leaves a lot to be desired. The selection for infants and childrens is especially poor. If shopping for clothes, I would choose one of their other locations.
