I went to Mayberrys for 2 hotdogs with mustard and a chocolate Sunday. Forty minutes later I was still waiting for my food along with another guy that was there before me. They had all of 3 customers. Extremely slow workers.

It definitely hit the spot. Had a very long wait but I finally got waited on and it was good. I do wish the chili was homemade. Canned chili brings the hot dog down.

My food was Awesome. I ordered a turkey club, with onions and extra mayo. It was great, light, tasty and my bread was lightly toasted. It came with chips and a pickle. I also bordered a banana split. It was to die for. The staff was nice and friendly. Great meal for 13.00.

Good old fashion lunch stand with friendly staff, ok food, and great prices.

Went in to get a to go order. Carolyn took my order. I ordered 1 grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and no tomatoes, 1anither chicken sandwich with bacon and ketchup only, BBQ light slaw, 1 chocolate chip cookie dough milkshake, and a 2 scoop cookies and cream ice cream cup. Carolyn fixed the milkshake and ice cream while another lady fixed the sandwiches. The ice cream cane to me was pink. Carolyn fixed it. It took a long time to fix the sandwiches. Finally I get them and we left. Got home and found that they chicken sandwich with bacon and ketchup only was a chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. VERY POOR SERVICE. NIT PAYING ATTENTION TO THE ORDER SHE HAD BEEN GIVEN.

Usually I get the hot dog and its ok. I tried the grilled chicken salad and it had a lot of fat and gristle making it inedible. Some of the chicken didnt appear to be cooked. No one apologized for my service failure until I was at the register. My friend paid but they should have removed the salad from the ticket. No comping here! The sugar free butter pecan ice cream was hard and terrible also. Will not go back. Totally turned off.

Who knew at 3pm on a Saturday that a little tiny hot dog & ice cream joint would be slammed? This is a very popular spot and they had a line almost out the door for takeout. They may have been short staffed the day we visited because service was very slow. No one visited our table or gave us drinks the first ten minutes we were there. Our eventual server, however, was exceptional. He was young and new to the job, but he had a wonderful attitude, was helpful and thoughtful, and proactive. The food was good; I ordered a grilled pimiento cheese sandwich on rye and a cup of their famous bean and ham soup. The soup was my favorite part of the dish. We were too full for ice cream but we will be back to give this place another try because I think we were there at the wrong time.

I’ve heard good things about this place and wanted to try it out. The first time I went I waited in line for about 20-25 mins and EVERY cashier walked past us and didn’t even take our order, we was the first in line & wasn’t helped at all or even told that they’ll be with us or anything. The second time I placed an order and whoever picked up the phone just didn’t have ANY customer service. The dessert was good I can’t complain on the but the customer service is HORRIBLE.

Food was pretty good as it usually is but just we were leaving, there on the floor by the ice cream was a giant version of the eastern wood roach or water bug - as some call them, live and kicking. I was thinking of getting a couple of scoops but lost my appetite. I mentioned it to one the young employees and she just shrugged it off.

Treated like absolute trash. Was ignored, and staff was visibly rude and kept rolling their eyes at me. When I asked if I could order, I was immediately mocked. I left right away, never coming back

The lady scooping our ice cream was rude. I asked to sample one flavor. She scooped it and then hit the ice cream on a sign (gross) and then handed it to me. I ended up ordering a waffle cone which was stale. My boyfriend ordered a banana split to go. The container was leaking before she even handed it to us. She put it in a paper bag. Ice cream leeked all over the car. I ended dumping the ice cream out on the side of the road because we didnt want anymore to get in the car. My boyfriend didnt even have any ice cream. The ice cream I had was watery. The only good part of the experience was the lady who rung up our ice cream, she was nice.

The ice cream was good as usual. But, the service was very slow. After our order was taken, it took almost 10 minutes to receive our drinks, and almost another 10 minutes to get our ice cream. Aside from that, everything was good.

Customer service needs to be improved like Greeting customers when they come in with a “welcome to Mayberry” would be nice instead of staring and looking perplexed as to why am I here. Also they should put the big menus back up on the walls. Needs to be more appealing and welcoming.

This place is old and a bit dingy in a strip mall thats seen better days. The staff are very friendly and the ice cream is good, but if you are expecting a nice venue and glass cups, youll be disappointed with styrofoam.

All Im going to say is try the fried pound cake

A MUST TRY! SIMPLE AND DELICIOUS!Make sure your not in a rush, nothing happens fast in the town of Mayberry, or in this sandwich/ ice cream shop. Normally that would be a bad thing but sometimes in a city you need to just relax hop on a bar stool and order ( my favorite) a club sandwich with potato salad and the soup of the day. This place is known only to locals and welcomes anyone And everyone. I wouldn’t change a thing!!!! Don’t expect brunch, or beer, or a live band, just simple sandwiches and hot dogs made the way they used to be.... simple and delicious!!!!

Very big portion but good price

I went in asking for a hot fudge sundae without whipped cream or cherries. The girl working the front only gave me one plastic spoon full, so I asked for another and she rudely was like it’s an extra dollar for one more plastic spoon scoop of peanuts. This was my first time there and it’s my last. Who pays $8 dollars for a small hot fudge sundae? Ridiculous!

I work at a restaurant so I can tell you from experience the icecream is great but this establishment should work on a few things1. Customer Service Etiquette2. A More Sanitized Work Area3. Anyone serving food should be WEARING GLOVES..its a Corona pandemic people...your fingers are all in peoples icecream (yuck)4. Wear belts..everyones underwear shows. Looks sloppy5. WEAR GLOVES. (COMMON SENSE)

Very good but slow service

We decided to go to this Ice Cream Shop after dinner. We went there with our Son and Daughter in Law the their family. We entered the restaurant and found the smell repulsive. We were not greeted in anyway. The first young lady was pretty good. She took our orders and started making out ice cream cones. The next young lady whom we found out was the supervisor came over to help her fill out orders. We were given a small cup for our ice cream and because they were right next to the counter grabbed a larger bowl. Not realizing that the location charges .25 for additional cups or bowls. The manager on duty a thin woman with shades of red woven in her hair snapped at us and exclaimed “DON’T TOUCH THE CUPS”. We apologize and said we would pay for it. She got even more rude and disrespectful. . We found that they not only are rude but do not have any customer service experience. Guess we will be taking our business elsewhere from now on.

My wife and I went there to get icecream and as we walked in nobody greeted us. The young lady taking our order was the person running the register also so I watched as she went to wash her hands which she did a very poor job of it . She did put soap on her hands but right away rinsed it off making no soap lather at all and it only took her 8 seconds to do all of that. So when she went to start my order I politely asked her to wear gloves which she seemed to reluctantly do. As she fixed our order I noticed the other girl fixing someone elses order was not wearing gloves and was using her fingers to get the icecream into the scoop. With this pandemic thing going on I dont think that I am going back to this icecream parlor

If i could give Zero stars i would. This is the most rudest ice cream shop I’ve ever been to they dont speak when you come in the just stare. Then when you walk around to order they stop me from even going to look at the ice cream to stand behind the people who already ordered when they should have told them to step around the counter instead of me waiting 15mins to get ice cream so i walked out. Then the staff had a nerve to be mumbling and staring at us walk out the door like we did something wrong. Ridiculous and unacceptable will not be returning or family members

The grilled pimento cheese is the best in town along with the bean and bacon soup and a cold dr. Pepper. The hot dogs are awesome as well. The service is fantastic.

I was listening to the radio on a hot summer day when my son and I spotted this gem. For a small establishment it was a pleasant surprise to see a variety of flavors. My eyes drew me to the Cookie Monster Crunch with it a Blue colored ice cream with chunks of shaved white & milk chocolate and Oreos as well. The service is quite friendly and they DO NOT skimp on the scoops, TRUST ME!

Went there for lunch. After 15 minutes I still had not received my order for 1 hot dog. Asked them about it and it still had not been made. I went ahead and told them to cancel. They just said ok. No apology, no explanation, no nothing!

The woman who usually helps me, Carolyn, is an absolutely sweetheart. Wonderful customer service and has such a great attitude.Gave one star because of the woman who took my order last time. I went in simply to get some ice cream and right off the bat she acted horrendously. Her attitude was horrible and she didnt understand AT ALL how to speak to customers. Asking her for some ice cream was like asking her to give me her kidney. She spoke to me as if I had wronged her in a deal-gone-bad. In 2 minutes she completely turned me off to buying anything from them and I left. That woman was a horrid nightmare and I dont think I will EVER eat there again.Sorry, Carolyn. You were the best.

Love the ice cream, best in town hands down ! Customer service sucks !! This place is so inconsistent!!!! One day you get great service, the next day makes you not want to return!I ordered 1 scoop of ice cream and she literally gave me 1 scoop of ice cream. Usually 1 scoop is really 2 scoops, and 2 scoops is really 3! The waitress did not smile not once. They all looked like they were ready to leave. I even told her that the scoops are never that small, she ignored me!Go in the morning, you will probably get the right service ! I feel cheated ! Its only ice cream, but ice cream is what keeps this place open!
