Hands down the most honest genuine guys I’ve ever bought silver and gold from. They are extremely fair and honest on any purchases or sells. I go by here at least a few times a month given the uncertainty of our current economic situation. I believe precious metals are a great hedge against inflation. Silver and gold has been a great hedge in any environment and these guys are honest, hard working and professional. They will continue to have my business as long as I’m alive and have the cash to purchase precious metals as an investment for my family. They even gave my 4 year old son a coin for free one day and he keeps it in his pocket wherever he goes.

Had always heard good things about this place. Was looking for somewhere to buy one silver coin at a time, instead of buying in larger amounts online to avoid shipping costs. Found a round I was interested in but didnt have any cash! David offered to hold the coin for me, came back the next day to get the coin, was still offered the same price even though spot had gone up. Fair prices compared to other shops, definitely the place to sell when the time comes.

I went to Ashmore Rare Coins & Metals for an appraisal and possible sale of some old coins. I must have had at least 500 coins of different types and denominations. A team of 3 people actually looked at each individual coin, stopping at times to show me certain coins and explain the history of the coin and why it had extra value or did not have extra value. These people are very professional, but very friendly. I actually learned a lot by watching and listening to them as they inspected the coins. When they were finished, they explained how they arrived at the offer price for the entire collection. Their website also shows you how experienced and professional they are. This entire process took less than an hour to complete. It was a very pleasant experience, and I was completely satisfied with the result. These people really know their stuff about coins and metals.

Brought my wife and son in after checking the place out. Some coin shops can feel shady. Not so here! Very welcoming to all of us. They spoke directly to my 9 year old about coins and collecting at his level of understanding. They even showed him a card trick! They also spoke with my wife in her areas of interest while I was conducting my own business. Very positive experience for all of us. If you have children that are showing an interest in coin collecting this is the place to go. They show you the same time and attention if you are buying a silver dime or a whole stack of silver dollars. Very impressed! Super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. We stopped in today to look around and were greeted by an incredibly nice individual who loved showing us different pieces of currency while explaining them to us. If we had a question, he would either provide an answer or acknowledge that he didnt know and then would look it up. Just a great atmosphere overall, especially compared to other coin shops I have been to. The location is a bit small, but thats the only drawback. I highly recommend this shop!

Ive been a customer at Ashemore for at least 6 years now. Its always a pleasure to stop by the shop. They have great prices and will pay top dollar for your gold/silver. I consider Harley and David to be my friends we always have great discussions and theyve taught me a lot over the years. Very friendly service and they will bend over backwards to help you. I have sold gold and silver coins to this merchant and I am always pleased. They offer top dollar and know their business. This is not a We Buy Scrap Gold dealer and sell it to a wholesaler and take a cut. They give you the top price with no middle man. I checked several places by phone for the same item and they were well above the normal price given. They also have a good selection of coins if you are looking to buy. Definitely not an amateur.

The gentleman behind the counter was very kind and helped us appraise a coin that we found. I also was able to purchase some Civil War-era currency at a reasonable price.

I have been a patron for over 3 years now and these people have become my friends. This is the only shop from whom I buy my bullion silver and gold because they are consistently priced most competitively and they are fair in their dealings. They also buy at the highest price. I do not get into collecting numismatic coins but Ash is extremely knowledgeable and his staff also knows the market well. Probably one of the most important things I should mention is that these people are not pretentious or arrogant about what they do. They take the approach of an educator and do not turn their noses up at folks who are just getting into purchasing bullion or collecting coins. They love to talk and teach on the subject so give them a try.

I am 10 years old and i just started collecting coins and when I was in North Carolina I heard about this place and went right over there I talked to David he was very nice and informative he told me some stories about coins and how to tell if they are fake or real i even got a coin from 1897! next time I am in N.C. Go to this little store next to the Hess Gas Station anytime. From gold, silver, palladium, platinum, (soon) guns, rare coins, and most importantly- great customer service that are highly intelligent.Why is this place better than any other place? - 1) its not a pawn shop; they are still making money but they are not trying to extort money from you, either.One time I had this class ring I got in high school. It was 100 % 10K white gold. It was extremely heavy. It even had the old price tag on it of +$600. They offered me something almost better than that!!! but I was naive and wanted to see if I could get more. I went to two other pawns and a jeweler.... I walked walked back in Ashemore with my head hanging low and they all started laughing --- how much did they offer?I said, they offered me a deal! Only 20% of the price tag thats still attached to the ring! HahaMy point being - these are honest folks, and they will be real with you, even if they dont make the little extra. Second, if youre interested in learning about why things are worth _$$$, the chemistry behind it, they will spend all day educating you! (Not literally but as long as they arent too busy)To me, building this honest report means the most. Id kill to just want to work for these guys!
