Wouldnt recommend the professional services at Mt. Hood Vision Center. Went in needing a new prescription for the contact for my right eye. The eye exam confirmed an increase in power necessary and I was sent out with a pair of lens to try. While they were good still didnt improve my vision. I called and asked to increase the power up and received another lens for my right eye. While still not ever talking to the Doctor, I called and provided feedback that my vision has only improved slightly. Was a more powerful lens available in this contact? Received a call back informing me that higher power is available but to provide me with another lens it would cost another $60 with each trial lens costing $60. No plan or strategy from the Doctor on what the next power would be just that it would be $60 each trial. Simply, felt like this clinic is only interested in the transaction no patient concern. I will take the prescription, use it to get back up lens from 800-Contacts and visit Dr. Greg Brophy to find a solution.

I havent ever had an eye exam so I was kind of nervous. From the start everyone was nice! The sweet front desk staff, the awesome Dr, and the kind and funny lady that helped me choose the glasses! They made sure I felt comfortable and they were very friendly. I really had a good time there and they did their best to cover all insurance costs with me. Unfortunately you can predict everything because I did get an additional bill for a lab fee. That isnt the offices fault though 😊 Im sticking with this office as I loved the experience!

My new glasses are great. Ive dropped them and they bounce. How did they get them so thin? The professional staff has helped me repeatedly over the five years or so Ive been a patient. Its like visiting old friends.

The dr was rude and rushed me. The glasses were more expensive than normal. Definitely would try looking into a different place.

This is my first bad experience at a doctor office. The doctor didn’t introduce himself and didn’t seem to care who I was. He was rushing and was not patient. The doctor was rude and I called him out about it and his attitude then change. And I get it he has done this so many times but treat someone as you would like to be treated. As someone who was their first time attending this doctor office I won’t attend it again and don’t recommend this place at all.

This place is the worst, the staff were ok but the main optical guy DR. Mark George is so rude and lied about my insurance not covering my expenses which is a lie because I went to another eye doctor that accepted my insurance and said that yes I’d have to co pay but not like these people that wanted to charge me way out of my budget and lie about the price of glasses!!!! I recommend Gresham Optical and eye care this place I recommend is near 5 stars unlike this place that is 3 stars!Also DR. George is creepy and made me feel very uncomfortable when tapping me in the back.

Dr George at Mt Hood Vision Center is terrific. I would recommend him to everyone. He is caring and easy going, explains everything, answers all of your questions, takes time with you. You cant go wrong with him. I cant imagine anyone not wanting to go back to Mt Hood Vision to see Dr George. He keeps me coming back. (By the way, this is under my husbands profile.)

Hi there,My Name is Dave, I went to this Mt Hood Vision Center to have my vision evaluated to see if I needed corrective lenses. After a very well and through examination by a very knowledgeable Dr. with all the results compiled and analyzed. The Dr. told me that my vision was in very good condition and that my eye health was good, and then he expressed a slight concern about my left eye, optical nerve area, and he wanted to do one more test.I have an appointment to have this checked out.I am very grateful that I came to Mt Hood Vision Center, I really dont know if I could have ever received any better care form any better staff.I Recommend to you (the reader), Come to this shop, get the best care,YOU DESERVE IT, I can see clearly now, why they are the BEST.Thanks for your time

I moved here from Wisconsin and needed to find a new eye doctor. After calling several in the area, I settled on Mt. Hood Vision Center. I chose them because of all the calls I made, Carolyn, at the front desk, was the most pleasant and informative person I talked with. She was my deciding factor. I saw Dr. George and was very pleased with my visit. He was very thorough and made me feel very comfortable, as Im sensitive about my eyesight. I would definitely recommend Mt Hood Vision.

Good people, great service! After nine years away Dr. George looked further into a potential issue with my left eye. He was thorough and gave me a comprehensive review of his findings.

The best eye doctor Ive ever been to. Dr.George is amazing, very kind and takes his time with you to let you know everything thats going on. And the prices for their name brand glasses are such a good deal!

Called other places that put me on hold. These guys answered the phone and had good appt availability. I had my first visit today. The front desk staff is great and flexible despite my schedule. They cheerfully squeezed me in. Dr. George did a very thorough contact lens exam. They are total pros. Ill be back.

Ever since the original owner died and they built the new place service has been terrible. I used to regularly buy my glasses and lenses there but no more. Have tried several different times in hopes of having them win me over but nope, not happening. Staff there does not know what theyre doing. Rude, poor customer service to no customer service. I will not ever be returning. They have lost a customer that had been loyal.

I have been a patient of Dr. Clay for 10 years have found the staff to be nothing but friendly and more than helpful to my questions.The dispensing opticians are very knowledgeable on their inventory and well trained in the process involved for the glasses to fit properly.

Dr. George is a true physician. He cares about the treatment of people and not just the money. I just dropped in unannounced with an eye problem and he took care of me. See for yourself!

First off, Dr. George is awesome. Hes very helpful and understanding with the patient and a nice man. BUT, some of the staff in the glasses service area go from; kind, to fake smile, to downright standoffish in a hurry, and its ugly.Over a year long period, I had a glasses redo three times because they just werent right and I refuse to succumb to the just take them home and get used to them philosophy. My old glasses slid on perfect and my eyesight was beyond great immediately. There was no getting use to them. When asked why it took so long for me to come back, I told them because I dont want to keep shoving these redos down your throats, thats when I was hung up on. The icing on the cake, after 3 redos Im being asked to come out of pocket on any further adjustments(which they now think may be the curve in the lenses). Now, I understand that 3 send backs costs them in the long run, but I also believe a job should be done until its right, especially with insurance paying an inflated fee to begin with.

The front desk people are very nice. CAROLYN is very very kind and helpful.

I bought my eye glass lenses from them and paid double what I would have paid at Wal-Mart for the same type of lenses. I would not purchase lenses from them again. Customer service (at the front desk specifically) was poor. Overall, while they have pretty good products, I was unhappy with the other aspects of their business.
