Awesome experience with the Gresham store. Everyone was pleasant & easy to work with. Heidi was extremely helpful & gave my husband a wonderful service in getting new glasses at a great price.

My 13 year olds glasses were broken at school today, they were his back up pair. He can not not have his glasses so we needed something quickly. I was able to get an appointment with Stanton Optical right away. My child had also been asking to switch to contacts. We went for his appointment. The person helping us, Daniel, was so friendly and attentive. The patients and time he took with my child while he learned how to put in/ take off contacts was astonishing. We also got another pair of glasses that were ready before we left our appointment.Daniel was transparent with everything that was happening. He cleaned every piece of equipment that he used right in front of us and talked my son through everything that was happening and why. Daniel also used terms that a 13 year old was able to understand. He also talked to my kid first and then looked to me to see if I was understanding as well.As far as the prices, I was floored that we walked out with a new pair of glasses AND a year supply of contacts for the price I previously paid for just a pair of glasses.I will absolutely be going back with every member of my family (that needs corrective lenses) and recommending Stanton to everyone I can. Hope that doesn’t come back to bite me when I need a same day appointment again.

I was in a pinch for some new contacts so I was elated when I was able to get a same day appointment. Once I got there, Parker conducted my exam in a very timely way and helped fit me with new contacts. I told him I didn’t love the contacts I was in and he recommended products based off of my previous experiences. He handled everything in the office very efficiently because I know he had other things to do than help me, but he still made me feel like I was his top priority. Thank you, Parker!

I went to Stanton optical for a eye exam today. The staff was all great. Mike helped me find the right pair of glasses. He has great customer service. Makes you feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend going here.

Just had an exam done with Stanton optical, it was very quick and easy. I worked with Ellie who was very helpful and kind. She was very professional and informative, helped walk me through everything I needed to know about my exam and what I needed to do there after. I am very pleased with my visit today.

I went in to buy 4 pairs of glasses and was told that they had a promo for BOGO free. I asked if the frames included the lenses and was told that they did. I picked out the frames I wanted, which came to $230, and sat down to go over the prescription lense information. When I was done, I was told the total was just over $600. What? I immediately left, and went to Americas Best where I got 4 pairs of glasses plus lenses for $213. I will never go back to Stanton, what a rip off.

Just recently went here to get a six month supply of contacts. Great service all the way around. The woman helping me, Ellie, was very knowledgeable and incredibly nice and helped me through the whole process. Ellie was the perfect representative for Stanton Optical. The exam went smoothly, and they have their doctors in a different location that talk to you through a TV so you dont have to worry about Covid. Thanks so much!

They were ready for me at my appointment time, so no waiting, which was much appreciated. The staff, Ellie in particular, was friendly and helpful. I love that they don’t have to dilate your eyes for the exam. The exam was quick, painless and thorough. They have a wide variety of frames to chose from and Ellie patiently let me try on a million pairs and even helped me select which frames worked for me. My glasses can be made in house so I will be getting them same day, which is just fantastic. Overall, wonderful experience and I will most definitely be going back to this location.

Ordered glasses and paid in full for 2 pairs costing $369.00 total for my daughter that is 12 years old after waiting 3weeks I give them a call and ask when would the glasses be coming in the MANAGER that wasn’t present for the original transaction said they had ordered the glasses because they had not been paid for well if that’s the case where is my money I said I have a receipt and the name of the doctor and other employee that completed the trans action as I start to become very confused he says well let me check in to this and I’ll call you back hours go by I get a call from the MANAGER saying how sorry he was and he would be ordering them today it’s has been 2 months or more and I still have not received both pair of the glass they assured me would be the in 10 days got one pair and still haven’t received a call about the second pair! I’d rather drive to Portland from Sandy Oregon(home) to get glasses at America’s Best at least I’ll have my glasses on time and great customer service! I tried to avoid the drive! I’ll Never use Stanton Optical again! Hope this helps avoid it for you maybe you can tell them about the review so they and do better for the people who trust them with their vision and support their business! Have a great day everyone!

Ellie was my patient coordinator and she was professional and friendly and made me feel right at home. I have tried to make an appointment a couple of times for eye glasses. I have had my vaccine and have PTSD. Wearing a mask has already caused trouble. If a clinic wants to disobey the ADA Law then they dont nees my business. Especially if they are not going to work with the patient.

I had a very good experience at Stanton. I was more than a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but the technician E. was really sweet and very patient with me. I was seen promptly and had my prescription emailed to me. The exam seemed thorough (I have never had a tele-health or virtual eye exam before) and the Dr. took his time with the exam. A very good experience. Thanks to the terrific staff!!

Great place to get your glasses, well that is what I got. They have contacts lenses as well. I had booked an appointment and I received a call from Parker confirming my appointment. As soon as he checked me in, he had my previous frames ready for my repair. He was done in less than 5 mins. I appreciate that he took the time to look through my file to be prepared. Parker handled every thing in a timely matter and he made me feel welcomed. Thank you for that! Being a woman of color it is rare to find a place were you feel welcomed. I defiantly recommend Stanton Optical. They are clean, professional, have warranty on products and have killer deals. I saved 80 bucks today!

I had a great experience at Stanton. Everyone was welcoming. I forgot the name of who did the initial part of the exam but they were very lovely and kind. Daniel was knowledgeable and was willing to answer all my questions and I enjoyed all his history factoids as well. Michael was the one who checked me out and I had a blast with him. He was hilarious, kind, relatable, down to earth, and had my husband and me laughing the whole time. Michael was also very knowledgeable, and was able to provide answers to all my questions as well as needs for my eyewear. I felt like I got an amazing deal. I received my glasses within the time it took to go grab a bite to eat. 10/10 experience thanks y’all.

This was my first time visiting for an eye exam, contacts and new glasses for work. The eye exam was fast and easy, price was fantastic and their selection of glasses to choose from were nice. 0 stars went for an eye exam haven’t had one since high school. After finishing was told to go pick out glasses before I even knew if I would need them. Salesmen made it too obvious they just want your money and don’t care about you at all. Anyways a doctor never told me what was even wrong with my eyes and wasn’t given a copy of my prescription. Was up sold on blue light blockers for $40 extra now to find out my glasses will be for long distance. Told 7-10 days and it’s been 2 weeks still no word from them. Horrible experience and I’m not a Karen

If your insurance allows to go to non chains do it. This was the most impersonal insane experience. They are just trying to churn out as many people as possible with appointments. It is like an assembly line where after each phase they make you wait. No one ever asks you any questions and they shuffle you along without any explanation. The eye doctor isn’t even on location and does the eye exam virtually. She never even asked my name or how I was. After the exam I had to wait an extra 45 mins to confirm my prescription. No one ever asked about what contacts I had been wearing or if I liked them. I waited in the lobby longer than the length of my exams. I would never come back here again if I could but sadly my insurance only covers big box stores.

I had a great experience especially with Daniel on the whole glasses thing with Stanton. He fixed my husband’s glasses twice with little mishap that happened and just with a smile it just a very efficient very pleased.

It would not let me give ZERO stars. I’ve been wearing glasses since I was in elementary school and I have never experienced this kind of customer service in my life AND when you call the number on the business cards, it goes to the 1800 number and unless you’re making a purchase, they just leave you on hold indefinitely. I absolutely cannot believe that they’re still in business.In AUGUST, I ordered a pair of computer glasses and a pair of regular glasses. They said that I needed progressives so I figured why not. I got the computer glasses but 3 mistakes later, I’m still waiting on my regular glasses. I ordered them in August and it is now December. I have been very understanding, even when the tech that was helping me brushed me off with a “we provide glasses to a lot of people and sometimes it takes multiple try’s” WHAT!?? I still kept my cool and asked them to keep me updated so I wouldn’t have to check the website. They told me that it would be a rush... of course no one called, it’s been over two weeks, I kept checking the website and it said they were being made, then it said they were win route, then the order disappeared and when I check status on the website NOTHING. I try calling the store using the phone numbers on business cards and I get placed on 20 to 30 minutes holds and they offer absolutely no help.I am at my end with the company. I don’t live close to the store but in order to follow up on my glasses, I have to drive in and speak with someone because I can’t reach anyone at the actual store. When I bring this complaint up they say “huh, that shouldn’t happen, we’ll have to call them”🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️I’ve used my benefit for the year, given them my money for two glasses and five months later I only have one of the two pair of glasses that I ordered. Their customer service is so bad, I’m concerned with whether or not prescription is right. They seemed like an elevated version of the place I was going and I felt confident when I walked in but it was all smoke and mirrors and now, I want my money back so I can make sure my prescription was done right and get glasses that are NOT meant for the computer. Since August, I have tried to be polite. I worked in customer service. I understand that sometimes things happen and sometimes you just can’t get some things right for some people. .. but they literally do not care. So, I will need to block my calendar out and drive to Gresham tomorrow because I tried doe two hours to get the store on the phone today and when they discovered that I wasn’t buying anything, they just left me on endless hold. I’ve tried to reach them via social media and nothing. I have never had a shopping experience this bad, especially with something so important as my glasses. I can’t see anything without them. I really tried to be nice and understanding but there comes a point and after 4 trips in, going on 5 months, what amounts to two hours of being on a hold, no phone call updates and now web updates and a mysteriously gone order (I checked the web before I wrote this) I am done and if I can’t get my second pair of glasses, I would like my money back. BUYER BEWARE.

Ive always gone to my familys eye center for eye exams and prescription fittings but since moving to Oregon for school, Ive had to look elsewhere for care. At this Stanton location, the doctor had to retry different prescription strengths MANY different times, and was clearly not very good at her job because she had to go back and fourth, back and fourth, back and fourth between different prescriptions for a good half hour. I left with a prescription that absolutely is incorrect for my eyes. I cant see as well as I could before. Will never return to any Stanton location, that was ridiculous and a HUGE waste of money.

So happy to find such an amazing place with great prices and beautiful customer service, Ellie was amazing, kind, sweet, and very patient. She was able to answer all my questions clearly and show me all the options from glasses to contact lenses.

The exam I received was a joke and not even by an actual doctor. Shockingly it was done incorrectly and my prescription was incorrect. Therefore, when I finally received my contacts and glasses, I still could not see but had to use the incorrect prescription regardless because they will now not be able to get my correct prescription in until A MONTH after my NEW eye exam to get the correct prescription. They said numerous times they were calling to see what was taking so long and would call to tell me what the issue was. I never received the first phone call so I called myself and all I got was “Sorry but the prescription won’t be ready until November 15 (which is over 2 more weeks!) and that’s all the information I have for you.” Even when I asked if there was some other contacts they could provide since I have to have contacts for work (safety glasses issue) I got the same very generic response “Sorry the prescription won’t be ready until November 15 and that’s all the information I have for you.” The people are profoundly lacking in customer service skills and professionalism, don’t do it, don’t use them if you don’t have to.

The staff (namely Josephine and Ellie) are AMAZING! So helpful, so considerate, and competent. I just moved and Josephine help expedite the transfer of my glasses to this location and Ellie adjusted them for me to be a perfect fit. I can see so well! They are more comfortable than any glasses Ive ever worn! This location is convenient, clean, and the staff is so nice and welcoming. I am incredibly happy with my decision to go to Stanton Optical.

Not super thrilled with my experience here. Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful, but when it came to getting my prescription and contacts, I waited for an hour in the lobby for the doctor, who was offsite, to approve the prescription. Eventually, I just asked the staff if I could pay for my exam and leave and they could call me when my prescription and contacts were ready. Two weeks later and I havent heard anything. Not sure what the hold up is, but now Ive been on hold for 30 minutes waiting to get through to someone for a status update.Update: The office finally called me back, over two weeks later, and I was able to pick up my contacts. Ill still probably go somewhere else next time. The in office staff were wonderful though, very friendly and helpful. Just took forever and couldnt get through to anyone over the phone.

Absolute waste of time! Don’t bother with this location! I called ahead to verify if they had the frames I had previously purchased from them in-stock. I was assured that they would be there at this location, and just to be sure I asked them TWICE!! The associate checked TWICE and assured me TWICE that they would DEFINITELY BE THERE. I arrive, check in, and it was only after they had me fill out the necessary paperwork, they would inform me that THEY DID NOT HAVE THEM !?!?! I drove across town, in the height of pandemic, only to be greeted with disappointment.

One of the lenses fell out of my glasses, so I took them to the Gresham Stanton Optical for repair. Had a nice conversation with Daniel M while he completed the repair. Daniel wouldn’t let me pay anything for the repair, even though I hadn’t purchased the glasses at Stanton. Service was quick, friendly and effective.

3 months ago i got my eye check up and got a pairs of progessive eyeglass,then the other one was the frame broke and the one the i used to wear is making me feel dizzy and gave me a headache in motion like riding in a car or walking so today we went t back to Stanton Optical Gresham,this amazing employee with 6005301 employee number and his name is TIM from Oklahoma is making an adjustment and make it sure that my progressive eyeglass is in perfect to used, and yap, i can wear it witha happy face! if you need help and your in Stanton Optical Gresham make sure to look Tim and he will do magic on your needs. I am looking for a very specific frame for my mother and a lot of local optical stores do not offer this brand. I called stanton optical to check if this was a brand of frames they could order for us. the gentleman stated he wanted to make an appointment for us, I told him I do not want to waste my time coming in for an appointment if this brand of glasses were not something they offered. he never answered my question instead persisted to tell me how busy they were and the only way to have my question answered was by appointment. then I requested to speak with the store manager after being put on hold for two minutes numerous times, I waited on hold for over 45 min to speak with a manager and no one ever answered. what a poor way to make an impression and waste my time for something as simple as no we do not carry charmant frames! or yes we do carry charmant frames. ugh! unprofessional!

I got an amazing price but, it was not clear up front the pricing. The two free glasses from the commercial there was only about 8 frames to chose from. The regular price of a frame was about $150. But they do have a buy one get one free. The bill said $800 but I only paid $250 for two pairs.The appointment with the Dr was a video callThat was scripted. It felt very impersonal.Trisha the general manager helped us when we asked for help. But I felt like it was weird to have to search someone out. She helped me pick out the glasses and gave me a great deal. I left with a pair of glasses in hand which was amazing. Thanks!

Parker was awesome and so helpful to stay within my budget, the whole staff was super sweet and welcoming. I was in and out within an hour! The only thing that caught me off guard was the actual eye exam, it was a live feed with a doctor who was able to adjust my lenses from wherever he was but the overall prescription is spot on! Been a customer of Americas best for 20 years or better and they kinda left me hanging today. Which was a blessing in disguise. The staff was amazing! The doctor was wonderful as well. The young lady, jasmine I believe her name is, was super easy to work with. She got me several rebates without even asking. Glasses were made right there in the store which Ive never experienced before. Theyve got a new customer for life!

Literally the worst customer service you will ever receive. I’ve been calling for 2 days trying to get my prescription and NO ONE has answered the phone. I’ve wait for 1.5 hrs on the phone hoping someone would answer.

Had an amazing experience, I always go to America’s best but tired waiting the 2 weeks for glasses. I was in and out with two pairs of glasses in under 2 hours :) and under 200 dollars variety of frames $20-$130I spend the same amount of money at America’s best but with a two week wait.The manager and employees were helpful and friendly.Best choice if need glasses today and reasonable price

I ordered two pairs of glasses, hoping to cash in on the free eye exam. Like any offer, there are strings attached.The exam itself took place over a video call with someone who I presume was licensed but honestly have no idea. Things went fine here.My main problem lies with the fact that none of their lenses fit my (fairly) wide face.Oh we can just bend the frames for you. Pick any of these and well make them work.I chose two that I liked but were tight on the temples. All I want is a refund, but it looks like this is going to be a battle.Most of the people are nice but this is ridiculous. The manager picked up the phone, was given my info and then put me on hold for an hour before the line disconnected.Did I mention its three weeks after my order was supposed to have been delivered?Visit any other optometrist.

Im not sure how this place has such a high rating but every pair of glasses weve gotten from here has been over priced and poor quality.

I have had the best experience here today, I would highly recommend Stanton Optical to anyone needing or wanting a new pair of glasses. Came in when there was a “2 pairs for $100” deal. Added a tint to one of them. Weeks later I only received one pair, they told me that I didn’t want the second one, and that it was $500 When it was supposed to be less that $200. Scammers and they would not let me return them because they opened up a credit line for me after they changed the pricing without my knowledge.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Very interactive and conversational in regards to questions and concerns. Parker was a pleasure to work with in finding the frames and price I was looking for. Thanks for saving my eyeballs yall 😁🤓 I even left with a carrying case, cleaning kit, and cinch bag for my glasses. Thank you to the ladies who helped me also!! NOT GOOD i will never buy a pair of eye glasses at staton again, or recommend staon optical, i bought at scritpton glasses on aug 3oth 2020 bought reading eyes glass costed me 80 dollars with my insurance oct 19th 2020 they broke,, they were black plastic cheap frames one of the arms broke off,, i did not drop these glasses i always took care of them when not using them i always was very carefull and had them in the protector all i did was take them on and off my face,,, i did buy the insurance it costed me another 27 dollars to fix the problem next time iam going to americas best to buy my glasses or the dollar tree, i had 1 pair lasted over 2 years i use them too,, buying glasses some place else

Trisha at Gresham made the experience quick and easy. I hate shopping for glasses but she made I painless.The place is quite and clean with lots of choices. Trisha even had my prescription faxed over from the eye doctor so I didn’t have to come back when I didn’t have the right paper. Everything is easy breezy and I also saved lots of money.

I never leave reviews but this is a must for anyone considering Stanton Optical. Back in March I ordered two pairs of progressives. The one pair that was covered by my insurance came in quickly, but never were adequate to my eye site. I had to travel 17 miles away during the height of Covid to see a dr face to face. Come to find out. He confirmed that my prescription was done wrong at the this location. He re-wrote a new one. I had to return to this store and give them my insurance covered glasses back so that they could send them back and have them remade, in the process, they were to also send my frameless glasses back to be remade..... long story short - my 240.00 glasses never arrived, after numerous visits I finally got on the website only to find that this store canceled my 240.00 frames and NEVER told me, nor issued a refund. I have spoken to the Corporate office (which you can only get to a live person if you say youre a new customer) twice, both times they say they will escalate this. Satisfaction Guaranteed? What a Joke. I have been wearing progressives for ten years and NEVER had an experience like this.Update - I am STILL waiting for my 240.00 Refund that Ive been assured will be taken care of in 48-72 hours - 2 months ago. As for a second chance? I gave you guys four months and three chances. I just want my money back and a resolution. I have called the 1-888 number three times.

I went in for an exam to get contacts, heard about their deals (which are better than any around this area) and ended up getting 2 pairs of glasses AND contacts for an amazing price. The staff are also extremely helpful, nice and make sure you understand everything everything as well. I had the privilege of being helped by Jennifer and she by far exceeded my expectations.

Went to Stanton Optical today on a Saturday as a Walk-in. I was interested in getting an eye exam and glasses. I was treated very well and was in and out in less than 45 minutes. With two pairs of glasses in my prescription. I am really thrilled that I reviewed both pairs of glasses same day, no wait time! They treated me and my Family with care and respect despite my 6 Year old being very difficult. I will definitely be returning here in the future.

To be honest in regards to advertising, it’s misleading to say BOGO free plus free eye exam *but you have to pay for your prescription and the frames are ridiculously expensive.The only good part about my whole experience was how determined Jazmin and Trish were to figure out the best way financially to get me a pair of glasses. JAZMIN IS THE ONLY REASON WHY I HAVE ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY. She’s a doll and was super helpful and sweet.
