This salon has very few experienced personnel. The personnel that is good is always booked. I tried to give it a chance because I had a last minute engagement but it wasnt the best experience. Bottom line you have to find out who are the good ones (very few) and plan your appointments with plenty of time because the fill up fast. Please hire experienced personnel.

I got all over blonde highlights on a pretty dark base. It turned out perfectly just as I wanted! Beautiful platinum and ashy highlights and my hair is still very healthy! I also got a trim and layers, and this is the most pleased I’ve ever been in my 41 years with any hair service anywhere! Jenna was my stylist and she was so sweet and professional. She did an excellent job! I would highly recommend to everyone I know!

They did my husbands hair and trimmed his goatee for us! Thanks Tracy for it!

The girl that did my hair was super sweet but my hair looks terrible! I went back the next day to fix it but it still looks bad.

I have never received a bad haircut from this salon. They are always very friendly and listen to want it want. I would definitely recommend this salon.

I always go to Brenda. Shes been my girl for three years. Her prices are, I think, fair for the stunning, consistent results.

Horrible experience... I took a picture in to Josh of the exact color I wanted and I ended with everything but what I wanted. The cut and color are horrible and it cost me $166.00. Worst experience ever.

We have always had terrible experiences with Shawn getting his hair cut. He has HATED it! I think it has had a lot to do with his oral/sensory sensitivity. Today we had an appointment with Lisa at JCPenny Salon. My Mom had recommended her. I am thrilled to say that it was the best hair cut EVER!!! Shawn sat in the chair by himself (Jason or I have had to hold him) and he did not shed a tear and was laughing😃 (typically there is A LOT of screaming and kicking)! I highly recommend Lisa for any child that needs a hair cut.

I went in to have my haircut. Kelsie cut my hair and it was such a horrible experience, even worse when I got home and saw how uneven it was. I even tipped her 35% instead of the usual 20% thinking maybe itd make her happy because the entire time she looked super unhappy. The comb continued to get stuck in my hair and she would just continue pulling it through. When she angled my hair and the scissors got stuck but she continued to pull it through. The left side of my hair is over an inch longer and she ended up cutting my hair 4 inches shorter than what I told her to. I pointed with my finger the length I wanted so there shouldnt have been any confusion. At this short of a length I cant do much to get it fixed and evened out because it would be too short. The only good part about this is that my hair will grow and to then have it fixed but Ill never be going back here.

The lady we had was very rude to my 5 year old daughter also did not cut her hair the way I wanted. And as an added bounus she shoved us off in a rush!

Wanted highlights and ended up with a “balayage”. She basically bleached my whole head of hair except the roots. It looked like my hair was someone that has bleached hair and needs the roots touched up. It was so bad, so yellow, and did so much unnecessary damage to my hair. I went to Sally’s the next day and bought light brown dye so I could stand looking at myself in the mirror again. It was absolutely not what I asked for, and such a waste of $150. I would not recommend JC Penny Salon in Hagerstown. I won’t be back to this salon.
