First time Im this place. I really had and awesome experience!! From the lady the took my temperature, and the second lady who took me back and and check my eye! The eye examiner person, was awesome. Told me everything I need to hear. At the check out, I was help by Sara Beth. She is and awesome caring person! She help me and explain everything too me in details. Very informative.

I would leave a ZERO start review if I could. I scheduled an eye appointment at Visionworks by calling their customer service center - you could tell it was not local. An HOUR before my scheduled appointment, I received a call telling me I had to reschedule as their system was down. I was pretty upset as I had already arranged my day around this appointment, but I rescheduled anyway. After receiving multiple texts and emails reminding me of my new appointment time - I show up to the office for my rescheduled appointment, and I am told I have to reschedule AGAIN because all of their systems are down. At this point, I have rearranged my scheduled twice now, for nothing. Would never recommend Visionworks to anyone who values their own time/schedule.

I scheduled an eye appointment at Visionworks almost 2 months in advance on Visionworks website. I received multiple texts and emails reminding me of my appointment. So, I scheduled a day off of work. The DAY BEFORE my appointment, I get a phone message that my appointment was canceled because the website double-booked the time slot. I wasted a day off and will now have to schedule another appointment, probably months outs. I will have to take another day off of work. So, in the previous 2 months, no one noticed the double-booking? To make matter worse, I still got another auto-generated text reminding me of my appointment that was scheduled for today. I have tried multiple times to speak to someone at the actual Visionworks office, but all I get is overseas call centers. I am furious. This is my first time with Visionworks and I only chose them because it is in-network for my insurance. Never again. I will drive further to find with some other eye care center.

Despite telling them that I have insurance when I made the appointment and when I was checking out, they charged me for an exam that was covered by insurance. I asked for a refund and was told the person who could do that was not there and would call me. I also had lenses that I never picked up during virus closer and asked where they were.Fast forward now three weeks and three phone calls later and no call, no refund and no lenses. Zero customer service. The doctor who did the exam, however, was very good.

This place is the worst. I made an appointment 2 months ago. Today they called me to cancel my appointment at 4pm. My appointment was for tomorrow morning. Im a truck driver so I lost a 4,500 load going out west because they waited to the last possible minute to tell that their only 2 eye doctors quit. That in itself says a lot about this place. Dont waste your time.

Place is a joke! I would give no stars if I could. They always cancel or have to reschedule, and always last minute. The guy that works there is always rude. Myself, my daughter, my mom and my dad all separate occasions have had absolutely horrible experiences.

I was called and told my glasses were ready. Waited outside for 10 mins before I was acknowledge. Once inside I was asked if I had an appointment for picking the glasses up. This was the first time anyone had mentioned needing one for pick up. Not when I got my exam or on the phone call. I made mention of this and was met with EXTREME attitude and was dumped off on a much nicer employee.Will not be getting my next exam here.

I called them Thursday. I was on hold for 45min so. I end up going to walmart cause I need my glasses to see for work. Am actually on the phone with them now its been now almost an hour. All i need is to get my prescription fax to walmart. I been on the phone since 4pm. Its now 4:49pm. I even want on the website and said i need my prescription to be fax. It than said go online. I will not use them anymore......

Can I take and wear a frame from the stand? If NO why you open, Im pretty sure you dont have the patience to clean each of them, also you guys clean the seats with the same cloth you clean the tables, that has no sense. Wheres your famous distance, the ophthalmologist will be in FRONT, to make me my exam.

I have been working with David at VisionWorks in Colonial Park Commons and I am beyond satisfied. From getting my frames situated to helping me transition from my old insurance to my new insurance. We mustve called my insurance at least 4 or 5 times in one sitting and David was always patient and polite with me making it an enjoyable wait. David went above and beyond with making sure I was taken care of each visit! Amazing customer service skills! Thank you so so much David!

About a year ago I went in to replace my super old glasses. I’m very picky and it took me a while to even work up the courage to get a new pair!! Sara-Beth worked with me to help find the perfect pair. Recently, my toddler accidentally got ahold of my glasses and broke them. I am not joking when I say I was in every day to get them fixed and adjusted for about a week straight!! I was lucky enough to have Sara-Beth help me everytime. I cannot say enough good things about her! She is absolutely AMAZING. Do yourself a favor and ask for her when you go in! I can assure you, you will never be disappointed!!!!

First time here. The staff was awesome, polite. Went in filled out some paperwork. Appointment was for 4pm. Wasnt busy when I arrived. After seeing the doctor and stepping out front, is when it started to get busy. Picked some glasses. While waiting for one of the staff members to be done with the current customers they had, I sat patiently and waiting. I was comfortable and they did keep checking up on me and other customers letting us know that they would be with us in a few minutes and apologize several times. Because they were so busy. Which I understood and had no problem with. I was even patient with the 2 misunderstandings that happened. First with the doctor then out front. Not a problem for me, but out of no where the place was full with people and some children. The only time I was slightly concerned was when sitting at the desk waiting and I noticed a guy had a gun on his hip. I understand his right as long as he has a permit. But I was only concerned when I noticed that he seemed to be getting annoyed and upset as to how long it was taking. And he wasnt the one that had the appointment the woman he brought did his sister. Mind you they were here after me and not that long either. You would of thought he would be patient seeing he had his son with him and his sister had her newborn baby. There are parents who have patience and some who dont. Cant wait to get my new pair of glasses next week. Thank you to all the staff members there for working so hard.

I needed my nose pads replaced because they were digging into my nose, after wearing for only one day.. My eye doctors office told me to go to Visionworks to get larger nose pads...for free. Dave greeted me and waited on me right away. He changed my nose pads and I was on my way. Dave was pleasant and professional.

I just picked up my new glasses and I am so happy! Sarah Beth was excellent when we picked out my frames. She was patient and really cared about me looking my best.We picked frames and then realized that they were unaffordable. Sarah Beth picked me a second group of frames to choose from and I ended up with 3 pair of glasses for less than the first pair that I had originally chosen.Sarah Beth is a gem. While everyone was nice, she was exceptional.I almost did not go to Visionworks again because of a previous bad experience, but I did and now Im glad I gave them a second chance.Terrie Elliott

After picking up my new glasses on my lunch break from my eye doctor, I got home to realize that they had switched the lenses and put the left in the right eye, and the right in the left eye. My eye doctor closed at 5 and in a panic, I stopped at Visionworks since they were still open. A HUGE sincere thank you to David Hammond for taking the time to switch the lenses to the correct eye so I could see!! Even further than that, he gave me two new cases for my glasses since he noticed that mine was so dirty.I’m so incredibly grateful for the help. THANK YOU AGAIN!!

I am so thankful for the team of people that helped me! (after being given the run around by a few other places I was super upset and called here) I was helped by a man over the phone first, who took the time to make sure I was covered by my insurance at their store and got me an appt as soon as humanly possible.... He was personable and professional. I was so stressed out over my lack of sight, he helped break that tension. So I come to the visit and the two ladies up front were so nice. While being pulled in all directions: answering the constantly ringing phone and helping other customers and so on, they were still fun and collected. When I go back with the doctor I become a bit frustrated that I cannot tell the difference in a few of the slides he is asking. So much worry came over me. And this man was so patient. He still was helping everyone else and I mentioned a change I noticed a few months ago, he then spoke out loud as he looked into my eyes and explained what he was looking at/ for and what he was seeing. He deserves a medal, I was so anxious about going to any doctor and he was more patient than a saint! I felt educated and cared for. I then head out to find some frames and pay and was pleasantly surprised with how easy things went. They helped me pick out frames I could afford and went over my options. People are quick to leave a bad comment but between the 4 staff members I met, I was very satisfied with my service. Yes, they can get busy- that shows you that people like coming here. Give them a call!

Took great care of my son. He had gotten a prescription from another eye dr. Turned out it wasnt the correct one and they caught it before ordering glasses. They fit him in that day for a new exam. They took great care in making sure we got the most for what we could afford.Taking my 2 other sons here for their glasses as well. Great experience!

I have been calling this and five other locations every day for over 1 month and no one answers I have tried online and calling customer service and have called live chat and no response, I have taken screen shots every day of 30 minute to one hour calls that no one ever answers and online no bookings, i am so disappointed because I have used this company for ten years, and even the customer service line doesn’t let you speak to anyone,

If I could give this location no stars, I would. I went in during the 60% off promo, ( All inclusive, no exclusion sale). I was greeted by a very nice man and advised him, that I had my own frames, but looking to see what would be cheaper, my insurance or the sale. It was only 2 employees working at the time, so he told me they would get me the best deal, as soon as possible. After, an additional 30 minute wait, I was greeted by Richard/ Rich. I told him the same, (had my own frames, but looking to get my lenses, and I wanted the best price). He immediately cut me off, stating I have to buy a complete pair of glasses. I challenged him, but he got even cockier, stating I could not get the promo....What he didnt know is that I had already discussed my situation with his coworker, before sitting with him, and I knew I was eligible. I gave him my insurance info, he was not even competent enough to get the info he needed online, so I then had to call my insurance company to get the info for my pricing. I had my pricing already, because I just had had an eye exam. The pricing that was given to me by another employee was lower. I mentioned that to him as well, and he exclaimed, Their price is wrong!. Completely throwing them under the bus. That was deal breaker for me, You never ever throw your coworkers under the bus, right, wrong or indifferent. I felt he was being dishonest, and he was all about commission. Come to find out, they are indeed paid by commission. I left, I just couldnt deal with him anymore, without blowing my stack! The following day, I called the location to confirm that I was indeed eligible for the discount. However, I went to the Carlisle Pike location, where Heidi treated me with appreciation and professionalism. I also called their corporate office, where I was told that a Manager would call me back. Im still waiting, 2 weeks later...Please go to the Carlisle Pike location they are professional, courteous and they care. This location, I cannot say the same!!!

The front desk staff tell you theyll be with you shortly but generally go about their business without even asking what you need help with. I spent 2+ hours at my first appointment, leaving with the wrong prescription. When I got home, I realized that the trial pair of contacts I had received were EXPIRED, and when I finally had time to contact them about the prescription being incorrect (which he really knew it was when I left) I was insulted and verbally attacked by the front desk staff. Would highly recommend not wasting your time, money, or insurance here. I will now have to pay hundreds of dollars to go elsewhere thanks to them.

I went to Visionworks with an urgent need for new eyeglasses before leaving on a trip in a few days. I was helped immediately upon entering the store, assisted by two employees. One of them took my insurance information and starter working out the coverages while the other assisted me in choosing frames. Because of my prescription and lens types it took a few days to get them finished, but I knew going in this would be the case. Ordered after 6 pm on a Wednesday. They were ready, including shipping of my specific lenses to the store, by Saturday at noon. Extremely helpful staff and very satisfactory service. I will use them again.

Quality service from an eye doctor. Really quick turn around on my glasses (I have pretty bad vision and an astigmatism, so most places take two weeks or more to get my lenses, they had them in a few days). Will go back.

Out of the few (maybe 15) calls I’ve made to the Jonestown Road location, I would say 2-3 have ever been answered. And I’ve called repeatedly, over a period of an hour or 2, and still - no answer. I’m not sure what their customer service technique is, but the phone portion of it is absolutely atrocious. In person, in the store, it is significantly better (as in: you get personal attention 75% of the time, at least within 30 minutes of entering the location - which is horrible, but still better than the telephone interaction, or lack there-of).. in my opinion, it’s not just piss poor customer service by the present employees, but also- a desperate need for increased staffing! Because I very much enjoy the experience, once I’m finally receiving personal attention, and the layout is very clean, organized and presentable, with a nice, broad selection of products to choose from, as well as a variety of recognizable brands. All that is lacking, is the customer service. I’d love to see that improved because I believe it would make a world of difference in the way of increased clientele and, inevitably, sales.

I went to an appointment today with my daughter who is 6 years old and the doctor was being really rude. i’ve never had a problem before with any of the employees and i’ve been going here for 3 years! He told my daughter that she shouldn’t have showed up because she forgot her glasses and that she’s wasting his time. then he proceeded to ask me if i knew why i showed up to the appointment?? Also, When he brought us into the room he began to yell at my daughter. How could you yell at a 6 year old like that, better yet at one who you just met! I’m not sure why people get jobs if they’re going to show up to their job with an attitude. I will no longer be coming here.

My first experience was amazing! The eye doctor was great with me and my daughter. Ron helped me and my daughter find glasses we both loved! The issue occurred when I called to pay for my glasses the woman told me it would be around $170 which I was ok with, but then I checked my card and it was $200! The problem wasn’t the money the issue is if you’re going to charge additional then I should have been called immediately no questions asked. So I called and was told to come in and discuss the issue. When I got there I could feel the anger from some woman named amanda that I wasn’t even speaking to. She was rude as hell and loud throughout the whole place. She made it everyone’s business to know that she would discipline ron for quoting me an incorrect price, which was an honest mistake on his part. She spoke to the employees that were refunding me rudely but it seemed like they were used to her behavior which was sad. I assumed she was the manager so I took my complaint to customer service. After I receive my glasses I will NEVER GO TO THEM AGAIN just based on her managing skills, how she handled the mistake that was simple and made it bigger then what it was. Unfortunately this one is closer to my house but will travel further to another one just so I don’t have to deal with the attitude.

Worst service ever! Walked in to schedule an appointment. I was ignored, never asked how I could be helped. I stood around for over 10 minutes made eye contact multiple times with the clerk at the front desk. Soon as a white male walked in he was approached and helped within 2 seconds. Upset by that I quietly walked out of the business. Called in soon after to speak to the manager (worst mistake ever); didnt even get to explain the situation before the manager had the biggest attitude. Never again. They are not friendly at all. You would think how recent theyve opened they would be more friendly to their customers!

Update 6/11/2019 - Frames still not refunded to my insurance. Their insurance department said theyre waiting on the store to do something. Theres nothing that can be done to make this right. The lab quality on the glasses is horrible (DO NOT go here if you have a high prescription) and the customer service isnt any better.Update 5/15/2019 - Aaaand it turns out they never refunded my frames benefit to my insurance like they said they would.Update: I sent a message to the email address below but they did not answer. Also, a doctor called to tell me that the glasses came back at a center thickness of 1.7 mm (2.1 mm the first time) and they could not make them any thinner. I went in to pick them up and it turns out they had not remade them and they still had the polished edges even though I told them I didnt want them polished. I just had them refund me because Im sick of dealing with them. They told me that the lab can send them glasses with a center thickness anywhere between 1.5 and 3.0 because those are the industry standard. Thats a HUGE range of thickness, and unacceptable with my -10 prescription. Basically, they dont care about making glasses thin. My current glasses are at a 1.4 center thickness and I can tell the difference between mine and what they made.I think they are doing something sketchy with their lenses. I paid for thindex 1.74 glasses, same prescription as I had before in 1.67 lenses. 1.74 thindex is supposed to be thinner, but my glasses came back thicker in the center than my old ones as measured by them. They were also significantly thicker at the edges. This seems extremely sketchy to me, as I dont see how they could be thicker in the center unless the lab used a cheaper material. They havent given me a sufficient explanation. They had the lenses remade, and this time they claim that theyre the same thickness as my old ones, which doesnt impress me since I paid for 1.74 thindex. I got small frames the same size as my old glasses, and they still seem thicker over all. When I complained they rolled and polished the edges, to fix it, but that just makes the edges shiny and now they reflect bright light at the edges They didnt explain to me what rolled and polished meant or about the reflections, or I wouldnt have had it done. I just brought them back and they said they need to remake the lenses, so now Im waiting again. Every time I go back the male who helps me has no hint of apology or of caring about my complaints. I should have just returned the glasses because I dont trust that they used the 1.74 material. I plan on taking them to another eyeglass place to be checked after I get them back.

After 6 trips to have my glasses corrected, I gave up and asked for my money back.They told me they would notify my insurance and cancel my claim and they never did it.I had to work with my insurance company so I could go to another provider and purchase glasses. I would not recommend Visionworks based on my experience with this location.

If they had a half star review thats what this place would get. The people are rude they ignore you when you walk in and even though your making eye contact with them no one asks to help you. My experience with Dr. M ( sorry I cant remember his name) is a total quack he couldnt even get a prescription for contacts right, first they were too weak then they were too strong (all this in one visit) I even told him what my prescription was in both eyes and he refused to get those contacts for me he instead got torque lenses for me which I never wore in my life as soon as I put them on it was immediate discomfort and I told him that. Well by now I was taking up too much of his precious time and he said I would get used to the feeling of them, by the time I walked out of the building not only could I not see anything I was in horrible pain so I ripped the lenses out threw them away. The next day I went to my old doctor and found out my vision did not change at all. When I came back to Visionworks to pick up my son and my husbands glasses Dr M was there and by now he heard about my problems I was having. He said well if you would have told me......(Im now ready to rip his face off) I said I did and you ignored me I also told him that I went to my other doctors and that my vision did not change at all. Dr. M said he would take it off my insurance and not charge me but that never happened.

Ive had terrible customer service experiences here, no one seems to know anything about my account anytime I call in. Everytime I call they say they have to call me back and they never do, I always have to followup, which results in phone tag at least 2 more times.
