Worked with Michael and Larry here over he phone. Ive had a very good experience with them. They are very detailed with their inspections and work to be done. Brought my truck over to their team after I purchased it for a dot inspection. I paid them around $4,000 for a laundry list of repairs. Thousands of miles later Ive made thousands of dollars with the truck and have only had to bring it in for its a regular service check up since. Give them 4 stars because a week ago they replaced a headlight bulb for $200, the bulb went out again and they wont cover it.

Very comforting, wifi has strong reception, a lot of restaurants would be envious of the cleaniness of Nutmegs bathroom. The ONLY Mechanic shop EVER where you can see entire work bays from lounge area.

We recently purchased a 2016 Isuzu NPR Box Truck from Nutmeg International. We were very impressed with the honesty and integrity that was displayed by Craig Judge who was our Isuzu Guru throughout the sales process. He took the time to help us make decisions on every detail including what type of box, and its interior mechanisms, would be best for our business. He was patient with us through all of my questions and was in contact both via phone and email. I would highly recommend Craig and his team. I look forward to a continued relationship with Nutmeg International in Hartford.

About 2 years ago we turned over our entire fleet to Isuzu trucks from Nutmeg and have had nothing but good experiences since. PMs and various maintenance issues have been handled quickly and painlessly, the Service Department has been very accommodating as far as our required drop-off and pick-up scheduling. Sean and the other guys there have been great to deal with, would certainly recommend Nutmeg.

If I could give negative stars I would. This place lacks good quality customer service first off, theyre only consistent with being inconsistent to me every visit I made. They tried to charge my company for doing whats called a DOT inspection when we didnt authorize it so that right there shows that theyre sneaky and trying to make an extra buck at their customers expense of course. This place is good for repairs but thats all they got going for them. They really mostly lack when it comes to customer care.

My truck got stuck out in CT unfortunately they were the closest place. I didnt want to go there because I heard this particular location does everything to run up your bill especially if your not from the area. They most definitely over charged me. Not everyone is honest. If you have an option to get a quote elsewhere I suggest you do that. I left with the check engine light still on. Thank you for a scam of a service. I spent over $2000. They couldnt even tell me why the check engine light was still on. . They suck.

Ive dealt with this company twice I drive a 2015 internatonal navistar The truck Never has any problems We sent it in for For Minor service and a D.O.T inspectionThey kept the truck for 2 weeks never did the inspection and raised the price for service from $1500 to $3000 If we wanted to get it serviced through themI refused the inspection paid the $1500 so whatever work I thought they did the truck is still having problems now I lost thousands of dollars while waiting for them to repair it which they never did.

Our existing GMC box truck was starting to nickel and dime us to death after it hit 100,000 miles. I know several other business owners who have had great luck with their Isuzu NPRs, and I knew what I wanted for options, so I started shopping around locally (Providence, RI). I was not impressed with my local dealerships pricing or attitude so I asked a friend, who has purchased several NPRs, and he recommend Craig Judge from Nutmeg. We connected, I told him what I wanted, he gave me a price that was far below what I found locally, and I ordered it (I didnt even haggle... and I ALWAYS haggle). This is the first time Ive purchased a truck without seeing it first. It went perfectly. The truck came in timely manner, they registered it for me, did the first DOT inspection, then called me to pick it up. Done. I have not used them for service yet, but if its anything like the buying experience, I think Ill be in great hands. I highly recommend them.

BEWARE OF THIEVES.About a year and a half ago, we replaced our steering box, which had failed. When I tightened the nut on the pitman arm, I must have forgotten to bend the tab on the washer that holds it form loosening. Our driver complained of excessive play in the steering. Nutmeg refused to tighten the nut on the pitman arm, and diagnosed the steering box as junk, even though they didnt do their due diligence to inspect the splines, even though the pitman arm was falling off, and it would have taken two minutes to do so. To add insult to injury, they quoted the job at $1600, the steering box was $800. A mechanics helper could do the job in an hour, the hardest part about it is taking the arm off, which was already loose. We inspected the splines, found them to be good, tightened the nut, and have been running it ever since. They were also asked to diagnose a hard starting when hot problem, that they attributed to a leaky oil rail over the valve train. When asked if they inspected the rail, they said no, we asked if it could be a problem with the pump, they said yes, and when we asked if they were just guessing, they said yes. For them not to fix the truck, and guess at a problem, we paid them $85.

Im a fleet/equipment mechanic for a large company and I brought a truck to nutmeg with a fuel system problem about a month ago. The truck was smoky and would periodically die while driving. It took them 2 weeks to diagnose the issue as a bad injector, only after putting their lead Isuzu tech on it.Now after getting the truck back 2500$ later it ran fine for 50-100 miles then the driver called me saying the truck died and was leaking oil. Come to find out a banjo bolt attaching a high pressure fuel line to the high pressure pump came loose and fell off. The pump itself then ripped off the motor breaking all the timing gears, spilling oil and fuel while causing extensive internal damage. they wouldnt admit fault and quoted us over 7000$ to fix it. needless to say I will not be bringing them any more of our business.
