Well they dont have the best selection or the best prices. The butcher in Priceville will actually take time to cut you customer steaks he selects with the most marbling. I bet Hartselle would too, buy Im not sureThe 5 star rating is for the chicken salad and I love my wife. I dont like chicken salad but my wife loves it. If there is such thing as a chicken salad conssuire she would be 1. She will drive 3 hours round trip for good chicken salad. Luckily she found some of the best in our own backyard.Me I like being able to to talk to butcher ad he rolls out slabs of ribeye and offers to cut out what he believes are the best pieces based on marbling. Kudos good man. The steaks have all been juicy and scrumptious. He will do a lot of digging too and Pont out all the pieces to stay away from

Its a good store. Lots of deals that we shop in bulk to supply the local food banks. Feeding your fellow Americans is the most patriotic thing you can do.

You can get a lot of good bargains at this grocery store. They have the pick 5 on their meats. The Decatur store is a lot bigger but Hartselle is convenient for me.

Hometown Market is a little slice of my childhood that still exists in my Hometown. You can still get a meat and three, the times a day; lovingly cooked by little grannys. The store has grown a bit since the 80s, but its still basically the same place its always been. Its great to stop in to grab a few items when you dont want to deal with the bigger stores.

Been to this store twice and both times I ended up with items that had been opened or tampered with. No recourse except to spend an hour and four times the cost in gas to return to the store to replace one item.

Lady and the daily was very patient and courteous and helping me figure out what the price of everything was I was very thankful for it

Their stock of meats was very low. The cashier was very nice. Store is laid out to fine items easily. Will go back.

Just went with my dad to do something important & while he went shopping & I stayed in the truck waiting.

Several cashiers were not wearing their mask correctly. I know it must be hard to wear them all day. Store was clean and well stocked.

My go to place except I left something at the register and no one documented it they just put my sourcream back and closed so much a happy ending on my tacos and told me it was nothing they could do about it very rude and hung up

Hometown has been open for many many years and is a full service grocery with easy in and out shopping. Good prices and a great isle dedicated to the equivalent of a drugstore, containing a nice selection of those drugstore type products.

Always have what I need

Thank you for providing a safe environment to shop. I am in and out quickly, employees are helpful and polite, shelves are sufficiently stocked even in these circumstances. I am spending my food dollars with a store I feel has gone above and beyond to be there.

Great southern locally owned grocery store with low prices. Deli serves a great southern style breakfast and lunch. Also salads, sandwiches, and desserts. Large meat department can assist you with any cut of meat. Produce is a little more than fair. Cashiers are friendly and helpful. Has a lot of southern charm.

Great one Jay Holloway been shopping here for years. If his beef prices dont come down I am going to have to sneak out to his farm and get me some cows. Just joking.

I have shopped this store for years, because its just as it implies,its a hometown market.The employees are very friendly, its a smaller market,so you can get in and out quickly if need be.the store is clean, has a very appealing produce section(which is a good indication of a stores love for their customer).And the Deli has hometown country favorites,6 days a week from early breakfast till late afternoon,check it out.

I love Hometown because they always have everything in stock. I go here for specific items Walmart NEVER seems to have and Hometown never disappoints.

This is the place I always buy my Steak. Now you have to check back from time to time but sometimes the Ribeyes are marked down so cheap. That’s when I buy a bunch of them and perfect thick cut also. Plus you can’t beat the 5 items for $20 just remember to get the most expensive of the items to get more meat for your money because regardless of how much they are it’s still just $20.

Its one of my favorite grocery stores, the staff is always friendly and helpful, the aisles are always well stocked and organized, the prices are reasonable,and the deli has some of the best food in town!

They usually have better prices but you have to watch them when they are ringing you up because they will run a sale on an item then it will ring up at regular price and you have to remind them its on sale but other than that its a good place to shop

Good deals when items are on sale but high on other things. Bread is almost always stale in a few days after you buy it. Meat is always fresh and good deals.

Prices are pretty outrageous at hometown compared to Kroger. I do not shop here often because of the prices, even though I could walk to hometown from my house in less than 10 minutes...

Stocked well, but staff needs to check products more often!! Coleslaw is a week And a half expired and potato salad is 3 weeks expired !!

I love going to hometown in Hartselle, they have a great staff and professional. I prefer to use the one in decatur because it closer to me. They are centrally located in downtown decatur and Hartselle, there are several other places. They are hometown folks, and speak openly about God.
