What a dealership should be like. Great and knowledgeable service department. Everyone was all smiles. And even though Im sure theyd rather be home relaxing, you couldnt tell by how friendly and inviting everyone was. Hyundai of Asheville is a joke compared to this dealership. Its definitely worth the drive for the proper service and care they provide.

I was here for several hours after I found the car I wanted. They ran my credit and we agreed on payments. Next thing you know Im sitting there waiting just to be told the car was sold to someone else who showed up during negotiations.Terrible experience.

My husband and I went to Hunter Auto and purchased a Hyundai Tuscon. Our salesman was Stefan Koeckeritz. He was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to help us. We got a fair price for our trade in and a fair price for the vehicle we purchased. Everyone there was wonderful to work with. This was actually our 3rd car from them. We are happy with their service and sales.

Just bought a used Lexus from Hunter auto. I drove almost 2 hours to get there. It was more then worth the drive..Gave a fair trade amount. Very satisfied with my experience. Friendly helpful staff. Would deffitnly recommend to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

Have to say I am very disappointed with this car dealer,was very happy at first but had a few issues that threw up a red flag,bought the car there and they said oh its a local trade that the family only used it When they came in for vacation,car looked great and the issues I found with the car that looked like it had been wrecked they said no it has clean report and its local and not been wrecked.well now more issues showing themself that this car has had major paint work and so the reason the trim dont line up,and the window dont seal and the roof dont close right and the door out of line and all the paint just popping off the car down to a different red shows me we were ripped off by this dealer.It is sad that they put on such a great dealership show and follow up with you but dont trust it,if you trust them at their word you may get ripped off as we did.You will see this post all over as we are putting it out to protect others too.God bless

Austin in the service dept. Is a pleasure to work with. He has gone out of his way many of times to help me. Being an hour away doesnt make it easy to get my car repaired. But he has arranged pick up and delivery service. Given me a loners. Always going that extra mile!

I was looking for a particular used car and was told on the phone that someone would be waiting on me to show me the car when I arrived. I got there when my appointment was. I waited two hours to be told the car wasnt ready to be shown yet. So then they called me back 4 days later to tell me I could test drive it. I loved the car. It still took 4 hours to make the deal and sign paperwork because they didnt have enough offices for the people working there. Now we are having issues with refinancing the car through our credit union at a much lower interest rate becauze they arent providing the info we need. They also ran our credit 7 times. I have bought cars before where they run it once and send that to all the different lending instutions. I feel like I have been lied to and stalled. They arent being cooperative and considerate. I love the car but not the experience. I will never purchase a car from them again.

I was giving my payment information for the agreed sale of a BMW 5 series car. The sales representative needed to get a question and and went away. When he came back he told me the car was sold to someone else. Don’t trust this company. Their only interest is money. And not the interest and commitment to customers. Can you imagine that unprofessional handling of a committed transaction. Stay away.

After being the repeat customer finding that I had to pay a fee for paperwork that they call a d o c fee or the word doc fee of $700 then what you going to trade in that has no miles on it and has a strong value is reduced by over $6,000 in trade in value. I suppose you can sleep at night knowing you knock but peoples brains out putting them and Dad and something that will probably outlive their ability to pay for it. This would have been my ninth vehicle purchased at Hunter number 9 but that didnt seem to matter to my wife and I our grandkids wanted us to get it and we got him some ice cream instead

Ive had good sales AND service experiences here. In fact, I bought my current vehicle from a competing Subaru dealership (they just happened to have the right ride for my very specific parameters) and even though I live in Asheville, I still drive to Hunter because Ive had better experiences here. No pressure sales, no unnecessary service, and this service department has more than once correctly diagnosed problems their competitors have MIS-diagnosed (so glad I got second opinions here!). Im not a certified mechanic, but Ive done a lot of repair and maintenance on my own before we moved to the mountains where there is no level terrain and my driveway is gravel. So, I know enough to trust my gut where good mechanic work is concerned. These folks have taken consistently good care of our vehicles. Also, they are MUCH more available than their busier, crummier competition - no waiting six frickin weeks to get your car worked on!Giving only 4 stars because theyre not perfect, and because theyre a bit pricier than an independent shop (I havent found the dealership yet who was both outstanding all the time AND competitively priced). Highly recommended, especially for you Subie owners out there.
