Pricey since I last shopped here. The checkout was confusing.

It was hot, at 11am, throughout the store and the bathrooms were nasty! The store looks old and rundown. Will never go back there ever again.

Went there to look at their clearance section. They were revamping it. 😒 However store was clean and neat. Only had one cashier. Had to wait a while.

Went to go look at sectionals that where out on display only to be told they were out of stock. Why not put a sign that says “out of stock” that way we dont waste out time.

I like Big Lots they just seem to always have high priced snacks and food.

The statesville location is always clean, well organized, friendly staff, and i cant say enough about their great seasonal items and furniture sections. Super great prices on food items that are world market type food items. The furniture section and home section offer Broyhill designs that are amazing....My favorite were the very well picked broyhill candles and decor that were very summery type to match living room, bathroom, and kitchen areas of homes in very elegant and affordable styles. The world market type foods offered, various fruit n nut mixes, soups, dried food sections, various types of cookies, cakes and such from around the world, they had great sale on huge family type bags of chips. I loved the teeshirt sale that had great trendy themed tees for men and women on sale for 6 bucks that were normally 8 bucks. I got one that said im having a great day, dont ruin it but they had stranger things, marlyn monroe, baby yoda, and various other themed shirts on sale, and they have this summer picnic display and items that was amazing and great prices on those items as you walk in the door on the left....go check it out!

Can catch some good deals here especially if you join their free Rewards program which generates coupons to your email and sometimes on your check out. In store shopping and curbside pick up is always good. Employees are friendly and helpful, very relateable.

The cashier was very nice. She greeted us as soon as we came through the door. The store was very clean. The aisles seemed wide, nenough.

Laid out very nicely

We purchased 4 peices of furniture. The sales assoicate did an excellent job. Handled 2 sales at the same time. Was seemless. It was late by the time had delivery set up and called back in the morning to talk to someone about who would be picking up the items. Had to call at the time the furniture manager was there. No one mentioned pick up times. Anyway we used PDQ and they were very accomidating even with the distance we asked them to deliver. They kept in touch the whole time. Despite the Inclimate weather. Brought things in was a positive experience. Thanks again!

Big lots is always a treasure hunt due to the fact that inventory shifts and changes. Some days you get lucky other days not so much. This was actually my first visit to this location, sales staff was not as friendly as in other locations, layout was a bit confusing and inventory is nicer in other big lot stores. I will give them one more try in hopes that I hit an off day.March 18, 2021I took away a ⭐ today. I ordered two lawn ornaments because they were not available in the local store. When they arrived via FedEx the box was battered and the ornaments themselves were in many pieces due to being put in an oversized box with NO packing to cushion them. I went to the store for a refund and after a lengthy discussion with one of the managers I received a refund. Last time for me! Not worth wasting my time and money.

Went in to purchase a sofa and loveseat. We found the one we liked and they had the loveseat but not the sofa. So I found another one I liked and they had the sofa but not the loveseat. It was that way with everything they had. I tried to purchase the floor display for a loveseat because they had the sofa in the back but we couldnt that so we went elsewhere. I was disappointed.

Newer store very well organized with wide aisles. Very friendly and helpful service staff. Wide selection at great prices! Great location near most all shopping and restaurants. Located on 321.

I havent been to Big lot

Me and my family make a weekly pilgrimage to big lots every Friday to stock up on odds and ends. The people that work there are always friendly and almost like family because we see them so often. They have good prices on a lot of items but some things you can find cheaper other places like birthday cards and I wish they sold alcohol. They do have items from foreign countrys that I enjoy like German made shortbread cookies and other stuff. Overall though its a great place to shop.

Clean store. Very little wait. The guy who usually checks us out is always cheerful. I know thats hard when wearing a mask all day, and I appreciate the cheerful attitude!

Better shopping there at Big Lots than at Hickory Walmart. You can relax while shopping for items they have than to be let down shopping at Walmart. The store that wants the customer to shop at another store because they have run out because they dont have a stockroom.

Devon was great bought the wrong sized mattress (receipt said not returnable) he told me to bring it back and gave me a full refund! The ladies at the register were super helpful as well wish I could praise them by name just did not pay attention. Thank you so much ladies and Devon

Big Lots is a nice general retail store. It does have a wide variety of merchandise. The only drawback is only one or two brands for the same item. There were some less expensive items that might have three brands to pick from, mostly grocery item.My last visited was on a Sunday and Big Lots was the only store open until 8 p.m. in the entire mall area. But I felt entirely safe because there was a private security guard there and visible until the store closed.The staff was wonderful & polite It only took a few minutes for a staff member to ask if I needed help. When I said yes he helped me find every item on my list then walked me up to the front register and offered to take my purchases to my car.While helping me he took the time to ask other customers if they needed help finding anything. He would give great directs (including aisle number and how far down the aisle it was located.)

Big Lots sale a variety of things really good prices I shop there for numerous items. Phone accessories the last time. Have to go to appreciate. You will be surprised by the numerous things they sale cheaper than WalMart on many things.

Seems like the prices are higher everytime I go on the same products.

This big lots is located in the hickory plaza its one of the reasons why I visit the plaza also Elpaso Mexican restaurant they are both filled with goodness that will help make your days better for you home and for you stomach check them both out.

I they have it the price is alway good.

This is a nice place, may not have all the big name brands but they have a great variety to select from.

The quality of items has been questionable in the past. Especially electronics. I only go there for food now. The food prices are reasonable and you can find some things here that you cant find at your local Walmart. Just dont expect any high end electronics from this place.

Sandi waited on us and was very friendly and helpful. We found everything we were looking for and the 20% off made it worthwhile.

Some of the furniture and is good for the lower prices. They have curtains as well as bed and bath essentials. The supply is limited on certain items. For example, sometimes its hard to find enough curtain panels of the same size and color.

Shop here for home decor, they have nice decorations, pillows, furniture and chairs. Great prices on Christmas decorations too!
