(Corned beef hash with 2 poached eggs and served with a biscuit)This was delicious. The combination of beef, hash, egg and biscuit was amazing. 3 stars just for The Brisket

Cobb salad was fantastic! Love that the salad was hearty and full of toppings and not space like other places Ive been. Also no iceberg lettuce...spinach!!!!! Was so good had to take half home.

Skillets was very nice. Food was good, albeit the skillet potatoes were only lukewarm. The Vegan Chorizo was really good. It would have been better if they tried to melt the vegan cheese. The pancakes are amazing! We sat outside and it was relaxing. Great service, but like anywhere else, they are short staffed, so please be patient.

The Skillet came highly recommended, but a wait over and hour. Then the hostess comes out and tells us the computer is down and we could go elsewhere to eat. We stayed because we had already waited an hour. When we were seated we here a conversation with the table behind us and the manager. The people got one of there orders late like 20 minutes behind the rest of the table. The table wanted the late meal free. Instead the manager only want to give a 10% discount. The manager told the customer she didnt  care if they complained on her or not because it has happen before. The food was good and waitress had good service. Manager made thus a bad experience.👎👎

We had a great experience. Everywhere you go, please be patient with the staff. They are shorthanded along with every other company out there. I had the fried shrimp platter and it was great. Our server was amazing along with along with rest of the staff. Tip your server well during this time and treat them like human beings. They are being asked to the impossible during the busiest time of the season!!

1st time eating here and if Im in the area again I will definitely come here. Food was great, we really enjoyed the sides we had. Mac n cheese, greens, Brussel sprouts, okra to name a few. I had Jambalaya and my wife had the chicken livers everything was wonderful. The environment the staff was great everything was awesome.

Outstanding food, great prices, atmosphere nice too. Tiny bit slow, so be prepared, but thats happening everywhere. I would definitely go again.

Good food. 4 of us each had different menu item. 1. Had sunny side up eggs which were cooked in a vessel that made them to resemble a half of a peeled hardboiled egg. 2. Had gravy biscuits very good. 3. Had oatmeal with bananas, strawberries, raisins, pecans & brown sugar looked delicious. 4. Had a seafood omelet which was served with cheese sauce on top, impressive looking. Weve been coming here for years & you go back when you enjoy the food & atmosphere.

I had the Skillets Chicken Fingers with a side order of white gravy & my wife had the Crab Cake Benedict. My food was good and my wife enjoyed her food. She said the eggs were fixed just right and the Crab Cakes had a good taste.

Been there twice now and it is a definitely a staple in my week. Shelly is definitely our go to waitress. She is brilliant and makes the most amazing mango daiquiris. She even remembers out orders.Their Southern Fried Chicken is to die for. Alex was our waiter and he was brilliant. I definitely plan to visit many times more.

Our breakfast at Skillets was great and our server was on point, kind and went out of the way to ensure we were pleased. The menu is quite nice with a taste for all palettes. I chose the banana fosters pancakes stood no chance against this hunger. The rest of the family was pleased as well, of course the mimosas certainly helped things along...

Visited this location with my boyfriend, we are residents of Savannah and wanted a getaway in Hilton Head for the weekend. As we approached this location, the hostess, an older, dark haired woman met us at the door and looked us up and down. She then told us to follow her to the table and slammed the menus on the table. After we sat down, we figured out that they were closing in 15 minutes. The waitress who came by to take our order was nice enough to offer food to-go but we declined and left. As a former restaurant manager, I definitely wouldn’t employ people who didn’t enjoy what they do or people who don’t understand that great customer service should be the forefront of everything.

This was a wonderful experience. From the moment of making the reservation till the moment we walked out the door. The hostess name was Deborah and she was so nice and courteous. Our waitresses name was Christine, and she was super thoughtful and on top of all of our needs. The appetizers were fantastic. Everyone at the table enjoyed them. And not just one main course was enjoyed but every single person in the party enjoy their food. Wonderful experience that made a Fathers Day super special!

30 minute wait turned into 50 minute wait. And 20 minutes for the waiter walking all around us to decide to wait on us. Food was okay. But then another 30 minute wait to get our check after we finish eating. The waiter explained that he didnt know he had ever received our food when I asked for the check. Unbelievable....I understand everyone is understand. But the issue continues to be that many of the staff shouldnt have the job they have.

Crab cake benedict was so good. I kept seeing different places offer this and finally decided to try it. You wont be disappointed! Husband got French toast and gave me a piece as well. So good! Friendly staff, clean place!

Its hard to pick which menu item I like the most. I always seem to order the kitchen sink for breakfast. I did try their pepper bloody Mary on my last visit and that was amazing. Their coffee is hearty but so smooth.My last visit was three weeks ago. They said they were struggling with staff, however, we did not feel like we were ignored nor waited a long time for our food. Kudos to the staff that is there. Thank you.

Highly disappointed for a high reviewing restaraunt! My wife and I are on our honeymoon and were looking for a nice place to enjoy brunch, thought we had found the place but unfortunately was disappointed. Out waitress Bianca I believe her name was was not friendly and did not seem to be excited to be there at all. Checked on us very few times and seemed to be wandering around aimlessly with no goal in mind to accomplish. The hush puppies and fried green tomatoes were good, the clam chowder was delicious and very flavorful! But the rest of our meal was very bland and just kind of tasteless. Bianca also got our order wrong, I ordered a side of eggs with my brunch and my wife ordered a side of sausage gravy, ended up getting 2 sides of sausage gravy. No fault on hers I decided not to make a fuss about the side of eggs. I understand that there is a sign on the front door please be patient we are short staffed but the place was slow and when we left there were 3 staff members sitting at the bar when we left. Not very pleased, may give another try but definitely was not impressed. Im hoping that staffing issues and such get fixed to keep up their reputation!

Wow. Overpriced. My daughter wanted a chickentenders kids meal. Kids meals are only 8 and under. My daughter is 11. They forced her to get what they call adult chicken tenders meal for 18.00... ridiculous 3 tenders and a few fries. Seriously wont eat here again. Complete ripoff.

We were fortunate not to have to wait for a table. The hostess was pleasant, and spoke slowly because of having to wear the mask. Chelsea quickly asked what we would like to have for drinks, and gave us time to decide what we wanted for dinner. She brought our drinks, and asked us our choices for dinner. My 4 year old granddaughter wanted Mac & Cheese, the 14 year old granddaughter wanted Meatloaf, my daughter wanted Shrimp, my wife wanted the Pick two (Shrimp & Scallops), and I wanted the Grouper. I sampled some of the other dinners, and everything was delicious. A few of us wanted Blueberry cobbler, and the rest had Key Lime Pie. Chelsea was patient, understanding, and not in a hurry. She came by at least 5 times to see if we needed our drinks refilled. She also explained the menu when it wasnt clear what came with the entrée. All total the food was $136. I gave Chelsea a $30 tip, and its my opinion that she was worth it, and then some. If I were the Owner, or Manager, and the economy doesnt go down to toilet I would do whatever it takes to keep her; shes that good a waitress.

Even thought they are short staffed the host and our server Dian F was AMAZING!! The food is outstanding and the gluten free options are out of this world. Our new favorite place. Worth the wait if you have to wait. They told us it would be 20 mins and the wait was 5. Thank you so much for an amazing meal and night.

Great breakfast find on island. Excellent service. Fast Kitchen. Good follow-up by server. The Breakfast Quesadilla is unique, full of flavor, crispy and a must try. The coffee is rich and bold. They leave you with an insulated half carafe that is very nice. Great ambiance and Covid-19 friendly.

Loved this place! Great service, nicely understated yet charming indoor decor, a solid menu with reasonable prices, and really tasty food (based on the skillet dish I had). Will definitely come back here for brunch again.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!We have been going to skillets for close to 20 years. Most of my experiences have been pretty good. Two days ago we had a very poor experience.We waited 40 minutes for a table and then another 15 minutes for a waitress to come over.With all the waiting we were still very happy to be at skillets.We ordered 4 meals and one did not come. While the other 3 were getting cold. After about 5 minutes I had to walk over to a hostess and let her know about the missing meal. She said would tell my waitress. 10 minutes later the waitress came over and told her about missing meal. She blamed it on the computer system it seemed strange since the missing meal was the 2nd meal ordered and the other ones came as ordered.About 20 minutes later the missing meal came,which is about 30-35 minutes later than the other meals.Food was fine, but when bill came the waitress did not take the 35 minute late meal off the bill.I asked her why she was not adjusting the bill,She she could not do anything.I asked for the manger. She came over and I told her about meal being over 30 minutes late. I asked her politely to remove the cost of the late meal.She raised her voice and said it was because they are under staffed and that’s why meal was delayed. I asked her again about the late meal and said she would give 10 percent off the meal.Then the the manager Deborah said, you can write bad things about me I DON’T CARE.Other people have written bad things in past.I just paid my bill and left.JUST HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

My family was having our last supper on the island and found this place. The staff was extremely friendly and nice. A lot of amazing items on the menu. Will be stopping here again if we are ever on the island. Also this place has amazing music!!!

We have went to Skillets for breakfast every year we come to HHI.But this year was nothing like previous years.They were short staffed with only 3 cooks we were told.But that does not explain our server, Iva.She is inattentive to say the least.We waited 40 minutes for our food when I mentioned to another employee that we had been waiting a while. She said she would check and never came back. I did see her whisper to Iva about 10 minutes later and only then did Iva come over to say that our food would be out soon. She didn’t even offer to fill our drinks, we had to ask!! Someone else brought out the food and we didn’t see Iva again until we got our check.Such a disappointment from previous years.

Food was excellent however for $8 the slice of carrot cake should have been sliced bigger in my opinion. I was extremely disappointed when I saw it and I believe the picture I added may make it look bigger than what it really it. This is more like a $2 slice of cake, not $8.

Just visited The Skillet and we were very impressed with the menu and their server James. He was very accommodating, courteous and helpful. We were there for dinner and will definitely return next year to include breakfast.BMFL.

My boyfriends favorite breakfast place in HH. My first time. Service was horrible. 40 min to get drinks, never saw server after she dropped the drinks except when she brought the check. Another lady had to go get our food after over an hour. No one checked on us, no refills. It wasn’t busy at all. Food was good once we got it. I ordered the skillet French toast.

First time at Skillets and we were pleasantly surprised! We were told upon walking in there was only one server and to please be patient. With work shortages due to Covid, we understand that but our server Stacey was on it! She took our order quickly and checked in on us a few times and our food came out quickly and piping hot and delicious! We ordered seafood platters and they were very good.

My grand-daughter, her daughter and I ate at Skillets on Monday, August 16th. We realized their might be a wait because they were short on staff, but Im glad we took the chance. The wait-time wasnt that long, and the food was outstanding.Breakfast is served all day, but we ordered a dinner meal. The prices were reasonable. Just across the street from The Sands complex.

I ordered the chicken stir fry. It was ok not the best though. A bit bland, and barley had any rice for $13.

Exceptional service. Our waitress Marilyn was outstanding! The food quality was also wonderful. I dont really understand any of the negative ratings honestly. The ambiance was family friendly, the staff was attentive to all tables, and everything was clean and tidy. Will definitely return when visiting!

This place was great! Food was really good and the atmosphere was great. Seemed like a great Christian place too. Definitely would recommend and would go back. Wish I could have bought a tub of their honey butter too.

Place is decent. It takes awhile to be served and to get your food, but when it comes it’s pretty good. I don’t think it’s quite worth the price though. I ordered the fish and chips for 14$ and received a single fillet and a handful of fries. Also, at the time of my writing this they are short staffed. If you’ve got nowhere else to go it’s a decent place, but I would not recommend over some of the other places on the island.

We were pleasantly surprised when we stopped in for a late dinner on the 4th of July...Our meals were excellent.I had the Prime Rib which was awesome; and my wife had the Fish and Chips which was light flaky and some the best that either of us has ever tried.We definitely would visit Skillets Cafe again.

The seafood omelet was pretty good! I wouldve liked the seafood seared & seasoned just a little bit more, but the lobster sauce helped with adding more flavor. Customer service was great to say they were short staffed, we couldnt really even tell so they are doing an excellent job.

It is so hard to rate restaurant during a pandemic, so it really comes down to what you are looking for. For us, outdoor dining is the highest priority. This place has it and there is plenty of room. Service, excellent. Our waiter was attentive and friendly even though he had to work both inside and outside. His recommendations were spot on and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was good and priced fairly. It was typical breakfast food so I cant say it moved me one way or the other, so 4 stars instead of 5, but definitely a place I will go back to and I would recommend to anyone heading out for a good morning spot. Especially if you are looking to be a little more on the social distancing side of things. They are also dog friendly on the patio and that is a huge huge plus if you have a four legged friend, then this should be your go to morning spot. Give them a try.

We have eaten at several restaurants in Hilton Head, this was by far the best food and experience we have had. Food was great, had the breakfast quesadilla and biscuits and gravy. There are signs all over asking for patience with places being short staffed and help wanted signs. Restaurant industry has been shut down for a year and now unemployment pays pretty well. Wake up early and go eat here.

Food is delicious everything was seasoned perfectly ‼️ Service was amazing I highly recommend this restaurant the calamari was delicious ‼️The fried fish,scallops and shrimps was BOOM‼️ We will be back really soon‼️

Just had the stuffed flounder and it was outstanding! Theres nothing I would change. It was perfect. The only thing I regret is that this is my last night in Hilton Head this year, but Ill be back.

My wife and I visited for breakfast our last day in Hilton Head — the beach skillet was tasty, presentation of food was excellent, and the coffee was uniquely delicious. The service was great and staff maintained COVID guidelines throughout our visit, and the atmosphere is perfect for couples or families looking for a nice morning outing.

First experience, I cant say Ill return. I ordered the ribs- I didnt like the sauce and ribs were not cooked well... the collards were good, but Id prefer no bacon... sis order build your own pasta and the noodles were slightly cooked, still hard and chewy, the good thing was there was no waiting to be seated, but still waited sometime for the food. I still wanted food when I left..I basically got a veggies plate w/collards I think I spent $16 bucks 😐

Our waitress was sweet, and I highly recommend the stuffed French toast (although I wish I had ordered a half instead of a whole order because it was a LOT of food). My husband got the Denver skillet and said it was just OK taste wise, because it seemed like something he could get anywhere.Overall, I recommend checking it out and would come again for the French toast!

Very disappointing. Showed up on every search we did on Google, so we assumed it would be pretty good. Very disappointing. Service was sub-par and we ordered one appetizer, the pimento cheese dip, that came cold and flavorless with broken chip crumbs. Would not return and would not recommend.

Amazing restaurant!! Gluten free options are endless which makes it so much easier for the whole family of a celiac. They are a little short staffed but it didn’t affect the experience at all. I would highly recommend the chicken and pecan waffles for breakfast.

*By Charlotte age 8*This was so good. I got the Skillet French toast with sausage and syrup and cinnamon butter. It was the best breakfast at a restaurant ever. The toast was perfectly baked and warm. The toppings and sausage were also great. As my drink I got a peach mango fruit smoothie. It was like ice cream because of the cream base. The smoothie was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. It wasnt very fruity but it was like a milkshake, and you could taste the flavor. I would come again!

Ordered a gluten free vegan jambalaya and gluten free pasta. After getting home the pasta barely had any Alfredo sauce on it and the vegan jambalaya pasta had meat in it. Called and came back to the restaurant and lady at the bar said it will be another 15 minutes wait to pick up the order they messed up. Will probably never order or eat here again. My pregnant wife is vegetarian and has celiac disease. I wouldn’t trust a restaurant that doesn’t care about what goes into your food. After waiting 15 minutes, lady at the bar with blondish hair came over and gave me the correct order bag said thank you without even looking at me and walked away. No apologize or I’m sorry for the mixup or anything. Very rude

Quick and friendly service. I ordered the waffle, eggs, and sausage breakfast - nothing fancy but the food was very good. I thought the slice of orange as a garnish was a nice touch. Coffee to drink, and they leave a pitcher on the table for you. The tropical leaf decor is makes the space seem festive.

Service was fair set us down quickly. Water takes like it was from the tap we couldn’t drink it. Stir fry was horrible couldn’t eat it. Steak fingers were from frozen and the price was outrageous.

We got carry out tonight and it wasn’t completely cooked. They dumped raw chopped garlic in it instead of there sauce. I know there was a problem with not enough workers but felt like we didn’t get what we should of for the money spent. But it is a nice place

Stopped for lunch. Breakfast and Lunch menu available til 3pm. Food is perfect and delicious!!Best part is they are dog friendly - water bowl and even their own doggie menu!! My baby was spoiled to heaven. Our server Whitney was terrific!
