Poorly managed unit. Subordinates dont know what they are doing alot of the time. Drive a little bit further and use a better managed Pharmacy.
My experience at this walgreens was horrible!!.I scheduled an appointment for their covid testing..waited an half hour in line for an obnoxious lady to tell me that I needed to be in the line with the teller window..I read the confirmation email and nowhere in the email did it tell me to be in a specific line..so I had to get out of the line drive back around n get in back of the line to wait another 45 min..no empathy. Wasted a hour and a half of my time..only to get a write up from my job bcs I only had a hour lunch break..no understanding ..compassion..just stated it was nothing she could do..I would never come to this walgreens again
5NOV21 😬🤪😬🤪 Not very pleased with this location as compared with other WALGREENS stores I have done business with.
Dropped of my prescriptions at 730pm, was told it would be ready that night, but probably tomorrow. The following day (24 hours) I went to pick them up. Despite no notifications...they had no idea what I was talking about, and said it would be 48 hours to restart them.As active duty military, walgreens just permanently lost my business.
They dont put prescriptions in alphabetical order. There was only one person in the pharmacy, and they looked through every bin twice and still couldnt find the filled prescription for a woman. Then they gave up. Obviously a very unhappy customer. I had to give up on getting a Covid shot because I would have been there for hours. They were taking forever in between customers, and they were taking people in random order, not by time of arrival or appointment time. They need new management. Stay away.
Don’t trust them with COVID testing. Scheduled an appointment, received emailed confirmation number, drove 30 minutes to take the test. Was told they couldn’t find the confirmation number in their system (they sent it to me!) so couldn’t take the test. I have the email to show them, doesn’t matter. What BS!!!!
They really need to get their pharmacy in check. My husband had surgery, I dropped his scripts for antibiotics and pain meds off at 1pm on a Wednesday. The lady told me they’ll be ready by 4pm. So I’m back in line at 4pm in the drive-thru, it moved slowly but whatever. I get up there and the same lady told me they’re not ready yet, to circle BACK through the Drive Thru. Well, I decided to go in and pick up a few things while I waited anyway. Got in line inside, moved INCREDIBLY slower, they had NO coordination with the COVID check-ins, which made prescription pick up even worse. People were piling up in the waiting area. I finally get to the counter and a different lady tells me they’re still not ready and they don’t know when they will be. This is when I lost my patience, stating I have a post-op husband in terrible pain on my couch at home who needs his pain meds and antibiotics and they can’t tell me when?? I asked for the scripts back so I can just go to someone who can actually fill them, but they told me they couldn’t do that. The pharmacist finally steps in and says that they’re going to only fill pain killers and antibiotics for the rest of the day to help catch them up. So I’m told once again to go through the drive thru line. It took an hour of waiting in line to finally get the meds for my husband. Will never use this pharmacy again.
I dont know why I keep using this pharmacy. Between them automatically using an insurance I that I havent had in 9 years (and getting denied my medication), or them not receiving the prescription that the provider sends over, Im ready to choose another pharmacy.Update: I had my pharmacy switched to Rite Aid. It didnt take long for them to receive the order for medications and they were very quick with getting them done.
First and foremost, I worked at a pharmacy for a long time and know all about how they function.I will never go to this Walgreens ever again! They need a zero star rating. I called in a prescription refill; they said they sent the request to my doctor. I called both the doctor and Walgreens multiple times throughout the week. My doctor had sent multiple refills, one of them I was at the doctors, and her nurse sent the refill order IN FRONT OF ME, but Walgreens said they never received them. I get a call after seven days that the prescription was ready, so I drove over to pick it up. At the window, the cashier tells me it will be over $100. My insurance doesnt charge me for prescriptions. Im then told they no longer carry my insurance, mind you, I take 14 medications a day, and Im always there to pick up something. I said I need to transfer my prescription to another pharmacy. So what does the staff at Walgreens do? They delete my medications on a holiday weekend when I have multiple health issues, including heart problems, a chronic pain disease, and a torn calf muscle. I went today to see what the issue was and was treated rudely by two cashiers and the pharmacist when it was their fault by deleting my prescriptions from the system. Thank God for the kind staff in Colonial Heights that helped me get an emergency supply to last until the doctor reopens on Tuesday. Kevin, a manager, is the only kind person in this store; they need a staff overhaul ASAP!!!
Why would you give me a digital receipt with out asking? Get it together.
Just shut the pharmacy down at this point. That’s all. That’s the statement.
I waited 50 minutes in the drive thru yesterday. The clerk then proceeded to help the car that pulled up after I did. Even the driver told the clerk that I had been there first and he STILL proceeded to help the other customer. Thats why we have moved all our prescriptions to Hometown Pharmacy. Done with Walgreens.
Always very busy here. Excellent staff, and pharmacy. Wait times are often 10-20 mins.
Drive thru pharmacy wait times are ridiculous, needs work or more employees to get it running smoothly and quickly.
Do NOT use this Walgreens to have a prescription filled unless you are bored and want to waste an hour of your life.
Absolutely DONE with Walgreens. I have been a loyal customer for years. I even used another Walgreens when I lived in another area and wanted to continue to use them so I had everything transferred to the Hopewell location. Things went fine at first and I was happy with service. I’m not sure what happened but things have changed dramatically. About a month ago, my mother used the drive-thru and wasn’t given her license back. After searching, she called to see if it was there. She was told very rudely by someone in pharmacy that she gave my mother her license back and that she should check. She had checked, even in the envelope and it WAS NOT there. Then she was told she must have left it in the return carrier. That was also checked and not there. About fifteen minutes later, someone else from the pharmacy called and told my mother that it was found on the desk and if she would like to pick it up! She was told my an Assistant Manager, Kevin that it would be kept somewhere safe for her. Next day, I go in to pick it up for her as she wasn’t feeling well. I told an associate that her license was there and that Kevin said it would be waiting. She comes back no longer than three minutes to tell me she can’t find it and that my mother should check at home! I tell her that it IS there and I was not leaving until I had it. She rolls her eyes and goes back to the pharmacy. After several minutes of waiting, she returns with the license that she said wasn’t there. My mother has now changed pharmacies to Hometown Drug and is very happy. I continued my service with Walgreens since I had been using them for years and didn’t want to risk a hassle by switching. This brings us to today, the final straw. I had surgery this morning and was told that they would be ready by 2:30 since they were busy. I get that delays happen. I work in a hospital and can truly appreciate the hard effort put in by those in a delay, especially with the current virus outbreak. 2:30 rolls around and there is no notification that they’re ready. Then 3:00 comes and still nothing. I call in around 3:30 to find out what the status is. They hadn’t even begun to fill them!! I was told one medication had to be checked in with my doctor. Again, I get that. But some of these medications were ones I needed urgently due to my surgery. The lady on the phone was rude about the situation and only had to say, “We’re busy and there are a lot of orders in front of yours.” I am now past due for my pain medication and have been in great need of the nausea medicine that was turned in. Other medications turned in this morning were on a set schedule and needed to be taken. Again, she offered no help and just said there were other orders. She said they will be ready in 30 minutes then hangs up after no apology or anything. I call back to speak with a manager in the pharmacy and she informs me that she IS the manager. I ask what day another manager works so that I could talk to them. She informs me she is the lead manager for the pharmacy. Not sure how since her customer service is appalling. She then tells me in a rude tone that they are ready now, except for the one we had to wait for verification on. They were ready but no contact was made to tell me so. I then ask her how to have all of my prescriptions after today changed to another pharmacy. She explains it very hastily and again offers no apology. I’m sorry Walgreens, but after twelve long years, we must part ways. This location will not receive another red cent of my hard earned money.
The pharmacy cashier told me I could not get my daughter a flu shot because they close at 6pm. I was standing in front of her at 5:30pm. She turned us away and wouldn’t ask if they were ok with doing hers really quick. I work in the medical field and know it only takes a couple of minutes to administer a flu shot. I will not come back here!!!!
Went into this Walgreens about a week ago and I couldn’t help but leave with a huge grin and full heart. The young lady working did something incredibly kind for the patron in front of us. The best part is that it didn’t seem like it was something out of the ordinary for her and was surprised when the customer leaned across the counter for a hug. I’ll absolutely be back.
Staff always friendly. Quick in and out!
Worst service ever shut the whole store down drive thru wait times 45 min to a hour every visit . I’m with rite aid now
I have my prescriptions filled here, and stop by for small items I need. The cashiers there are very familiar with the items on sale, and will look up the coupons for you to help you save more money. I often buy cigarettes and snacks there.
I love this Walgreens its convenient for me its right by my work and there is some great employees at work here. But theres only one issue I pick up the same prescription weekly almost the same day every week but theres always the same issue every week. Claim that my doctor has not left a message or a claim that my insurance needs pre-approval and we go over the same things every week.and I explain why its being injected by my insurance and how the medicine is supposed to be put into the system and we go over the same thing every time.and theres a couple of people in the pharmacy that when you try to ask him or explain something they dont want to hear it.theres a young man that works in the back who is super nice and he always takes care of me and chantelie anytime I ask her or she sees me for some reason my prescriptions there or she can get it done but if its not him or her it takes all day long to get my prescription that I get every week.I literally sat there today I came in at 1 the young lady told me that the pharmacist needed to check the voicemail and she would let me know something I sat in the chair until 10 minutes to 2 got back in line. For her to tell me were still waiting for her to check the voicemail, well why didnt anybody tell me that I sat there and wasted my whole lunch when you could have said maam itd be best if you just came back later.but it is a shock to me that the doctors can call something in the morning and it doesnt get filled until 5 or 6 at nightand I just dont understand if the same people are filling my prescriptions every week why do they not know how to run it correctly why is it always an issue all the time.I wouldnt come back to this pharmacy if it wasnt for that young man and Chantelie. And if Im not in there for a prescription Im in their spending quite a bit of money weekly.but when I called to find out when my prescription is ready and they say its ready and I come up there and its still not ready thats an issue for me.
New curbside pick up its super quick and easy and you can use coupons online. This is the best part of this Walgreens.COVID testing here with appointment only but the line is super long! Come extra early! I tested 1.5 hours after my appointment time. they are taking their sweet time and tests aren’t ready by time you get there. I do love how the bags are put by you inside the box next to the window to allow them to not touch anything afterwards. Easiest place to get children tested. Go to rite aid if you can! No line!I completely hate this Walgreens. The staff and manager can be very rude and ignorant about their products. Some understand their store coupons and some others dont. There isn’t anyone in the photo section and I always have to ask to call someone after waiting 5 minutes there. I have stopped shopping here all together and moved my medicines to another pharmacy.
Pharmacy is RIDICULOUSLY slow!!! Improvement is a must!!!
Slowest pharmacy ever! Tell you 20 min to get order filled 3:45 hrs later finally readyGo to.pick it up fat a $$ in front of me has them running around doing her shopping while she sits and snacks and stays on cell phone. Grrrrr 22 min wait time for service ridiculous. Locked in on plan d medicare next year no way will I do business with Walgreens and this is not a one time incident its every time no matter what time of day.
Horrible customer service...i sat in line waiting for a perscription for over 30 mins and couldnt get out of line because I was blocked in only for her to wait on someone else who came from the back of the line to the second window... then she proceeds to tell me another 20-25 mins bc it isnt ready. Obviously thwt havent even bothered to fill it and they have had the perscription for almost 2 hours!
Sophia is such an asset to your company ..she went out of her way to help us tonite..we didnt have the money to purchase our prescriptions and she paid for it out of her pocket .. what a kind gesture ..We will definitely pay it forward
Fast service and professional pharmaceutical staff made this the new pharmacy for me
Slow never ready aggrivating
