It has been renovated and looked better. I was able to get what I looked for. However some shelves need to have more stocks.

I just love this dollar general. If they dont have what your looking for no other location will!! In and out pretty quick considering its the holidays!!

The Dollar General is a affordable way to shop for basic needs around the home. And a some lovely home decor to brighten up any section of your home. The Hopewell store has improved on its organization of this location and the employees are ensuring you get cashed out in a timely manner. Great improvement so check it out if you dont want to go to the big box stores for your basic home needs.

Very clean location just had to make a quick stop for some waters, Service was good but they, needs more workers they are almost always short handed...

Dollar General is always a great place to go if youre on a fixed budget. Customer service at this store is great. Add you could find basically whatever you have need of.

Great food, entrance is slightly hidden so I accidentally drove past it.This was for the Chester Cracker Barrel. Not sure why it was applied to Dollar General instead but it is kind of funny.

1st time in one of these stores.Store was a ABSOLUTELY WRECK!!! There where carts full of things everywhere, and stock carts or floats all over the store full of stuff to be put out, had to move them to get around in the store, the shelves where absolute wrecks as well.The ONLY thing nice about this experience was that there was a Nice associate trying to help me find the item I was looking for and he was the only one there!I will Never go back there again!!

This store needs workers that can unload boxes and work the register at the same time. Always have to search for someone to check out.

This is actually the best Dollar General Store around my location within five cities. They stay clean and they have great employees. There is one employee there that is above and beyond customer friendly. I do not know his name but hes usually there during first or second shift and he does whatever it takes to make sure the customer gets what they want and are happy when they leave the store.

This dollar general is far behind messy. It makes no sense at all that you enter the store and can immediately start shopping off of the floor. Every isle every step that you make, theres an item just laying there to be picked up and added to your cart. No its not organizrd, its just laying there. Uet, the shelves are mostly empty. Theres at least 12 carts full of items, just random items sitting near the office. Theres all types of different odors in the store its hard to tell what its supposed to smell like or even if its a good smell at all. The employees are polite, they need to take a few nights pull together and clean that store up. Its honesty disrespectful to the Dollar General Name. If Corporate walked in and Honestly did an audit it would probably take 5 days of Closed Business just to sort thru the message. Then start the audit. Im not downloading Im just being honest. That was just horrible.

Store very unorganized and out of alot of product couldnt find most of what I was looking for guess I should have juay keep going until I got to the one closer to my house.

The cashier on12/7/19at4;00 was very helpful and very polite.but you would think they would have at lease 2people on to help filled the shelves.many were empty and carts of items needed to be put out waiting to be put out just one person cant do it and cash out many people waiting in line.not good business.

The stores is very unorganized, the aisle were very clutterd, has poor lighting ohh and workers are not friendly at all!! very rude store needs a serious makeover inside and out

This location has everything you need for basic living from health/beauty products to food and clothing. They also have name brand things. The only issue is the layout, the aisles are narrower than average. There are always boxes/totes sitting around the floor, making space even smaller. I cannot go there without someone to help me. My wheelchair does not fit around any aisle or corner because of extra storage boxes all over. Besides that, if you do not have to rely on mobility helping, there is plenty room to walk around.

Friendly welcoming store when you walk in although their stocking needs improvement but you could over look that by feeling at home away from home

Junky and cluttered, 1 employee working so the shoplifters have a ball... open items with some or all contents missing. I dont expect much and I understand the holidays just ended, but that was by far the worst shape Ive seen a dollar general

This place is always a mess. Stuff is either purring away or taken off or restocking all the time. Coupons most of the time don’t work here I have no clue why. It’s busy so parking spaces are crazy. Some staff is friendly and some others aren’t. It’s a hit or miss for that. I stopped coming here because of how hectic it is to walk around the store.

People are friendly, hip-hop music playing behind the counter, and good prices.

The Dollar General on East Broadway is dirty prices are not one things to Cashiers all they do is stand outside and smoke there should be a law against smoking instead of waiting on their customers how to stand in a line and wait till they finish smoking that is not right and clean up the store and be a little more friendlier this is East Broadway Hopewell Virginia

This is probably one of the most discombobulated Dollar general stores. I shop at DG at least twice a month and several different ones in the area. This is one of the newer and disheveled stores

I used to dread this store but since new management has taken over, the employees are nice and helpful.

I live close to this store. Shop thete frequently. They have had several managers and employees in the last year. The store has not had stock put away, there are rolling carts in the way and customers do not frequent this store. Comments in the community are its too messy, cant find anything, stock not put up and many people go to other DG stores in the area. HOWEVER, they do have a new manager, employees speak to you when you walk in the door now. Heres hoping shell get it straight! Good luck

Horrible! Place was a mess, I prefer to shop at the one in downtown or the other one at that little elm street strip mall or the one up off spruce ave!! Never experienced such a terrible shopping experience in my life until today, get it together!!!
