American Freight saved my life. Came back from vacation where I spent an arm and a leg, (thanks COVID). My refrigerator was out, food spoiled, and everywhere I looked, I couldnt find a good fridge under $800; until I remembered American Freight. They have reasonable prices and two different warranties to choice from. I was able to get back up and running in no time. Thanks Kendall for professional, friendly, quality customer. You the man.

There was nothing wrong with my order. I made my order online, no problems there. I called the store to verify the appliances were there and available before hand. They were busy so my wait time was longer then I expected, but still no issues. When I got there to pick up the appliances (I got one appliance, then bought another online and went a second time) the second trip was why I gave the three star. Not only did I wait well over an hour for customer service unrelated to the appliances - I was looking at beds- the associate gave me the impression that they were ready to go and I was skipped. I understand people are not perfect; I would return to American Freight and recommend them. I would suggest looking online, then calling, then paying.

My husband bought a washer here but doesnt work at all. This machine shakes alot, makes alot noises then stops and gives me an error code. They told my husband this machine worked perfectly fine and only had a scratch. I called plenty of times to get help and they only give me numbers to Samsung customer services and they are no help either. This was almost a $700 washer. It hasnt even been one month. Im trying to reach someone that can help me .

I have been shopping at this location for years a lot of changes have been made but I must say the staff here is very knowledgeable and the store manager Kendall is very helpful tenant had a problem with a stove and I needed a replacement store didn’t have what I was looking for but Kendall told me he would call as soon as he got one in. I wasn’t expecting a call but I got one later that day. Went by and purchased the stove got it to my tenant and installed. I’ll be back for furniture as they have a large selection now and I seen a lot of stuff I liked.

So I have to say that the transition from being financed to the actual pick up from this particular location was a great and very smooth transition. I was not aware of the process of being financed to a particular store only after financing is complete, but when I spoke with Mr. Kendall at the Griggs Store he provided a complete breakdown of what I needed to do and not only that completed the processing of the stove I wanted to purchase that same night. There was only 1 stove left that was needed for my mother in urgency, Mr. Kendall and his staff worked diligently to get the stove prepared for me and ready for pickup. The store closes at 8PM and Mr. Kendall stayed past that time to make sure all the financing was complete and the initial payment was done with documents signed and the stove was ready for pick up before he closed up for the day. My mother is EXTREMELY happy for her stove, as am I and she is now ready to cook for Thanksgiving. I truly appreciate all you have done and will be back to this store for any other need I may have. Great job guys, my hats of to the EXCELLENT customer service and experience you give!!

We went in for a refrigerator and walked out happy customers with it being delivered on Tuesday. We were greeted when we walked in. I purchased a scratch and dent refrigerator here for my uncle, a senior. The purchase was made on December 22, 2020 as a Christmas gift. Great! Well not so great, the ice maker did not work immediately. We thought it was user error so my husband and I watched a few videos and read the manual, the ice maker still would not work. We figured we’d just call someone to handle it, no big deal. Fast forward to February 18, 2021. The refrigerator totally stops working. Only the interior light comes on. I called american freight that told me to call Sears. Sears says my product isn’t registered and I will need to register it. After all that, my uncle calls and says the fridge is working again. Two days later he calls and says no it’s out. I then begin the scavenger hunt of finding the man that holds all warranties in his hands. Finally Sears does help and they send out a repair man the next day. He basically says I shouldn’t have bought a Kenmore. He orders 3 parts, they are all on back order. So we wait.....and wait.... after 3 weeks I call to complain about the missed appointment they posted as an update. Their response was that they don’t have our parts. I requested a replacement. They said it has to be 30 days. On the 30th day, o call and I am told they will send it to the special team that I’m not allowed to interact with. They are really special indeed, they wanted a copy of the receipt sent to them by email. But they gave me the wrong email. I then called back. The gatekeeper named Jen said she would send the “special team” a message on my behalf. The “special team” then responded with a working email address. Because this is a lot to explain let’s say I’m still getting the run around. Nothing has been replaced. No parts have shipped. I can’t speak to anyone that really handles anything. My uncle has been without a refrigerator for over a month. Sears / AF does not care. Be careful buying any appliance from them. They are not the same company they used to be.

I live in an apartment. On the delivery day, the driver failed to leave a voice message, and I missed the call. Upon looking at my missed calls, I called the driver back at 5:02pm to inquire his location for my 2pm-5pm delivery window. He did not answer. I called the store, and no one answered there either. Though my complexs gate was open at the time of the delivery, no one came to my door. I tried to reschedule my pick up immediately afterward, but no one bothered to answer the phone. I tried to call customer service at the corporate office, and still no answer. I had to drive to the site two days later to reschedule in person. The store site did not answer my calls or emails, nor the calls of the customer service agent from American Freight. My delivery was scheduled for a week later. This time, the driver came up to my door and left a voice message so that I knew who it was calling me. Had this driver been the previous driver, I wouldnt of had a late delivery, nor would I have had to endure the terrible customer service I experienced. My dryer smells like something is burning and the knob had to be adjusted because it stopped moving mid-cycle, which wouldve kept my dryer running if I had left. I am not happy about the quality of this experience. More employees need to be hired so that the phones can be operated correctly, and so the staff isnt overwhelmed. When asked about slow customer service, the employee stated, This is all the staff their budget allows me to hire. I may not have bought the most expensive appliance in the store, but I still deserved better treatment and respect. That stores need more workers, and I would appreciate a refund of my delivery fee since it came a week late and the driver made a terrible effort, and I had to appear in person just to reschedule my delivery AFTER the money for my appliance had already come out of my account. Not to mention there are issues with this dryer that I have to fix, namely the smell it produces and the knob. I almost wish it had broken so I couldve returned it and gotten my money back to give to another business. I have zero intentions of working with American Freight or Sears Outlet ever again. This was an abysmal experience and Im sorry doesnt cut it.

Purchased a mattress and box late last night 1/20/21 so we just opened it this evening 1/21/21. First off the guy in the warehouse dragged the mattress and box to our truck so the box corner is scraped. Second, when we took the box out the bag we saw a piece of broken wood on the inside and third the actual mattress has some kind of coffee type smell. I don’t think any “new” mattress should have an order. I really hope these mattress’ aren’t repo matetress’ especially with covid. I’m super upset because this is purchase is for my small daughter.

Love this place! Got all my new kitchen appliances here at drastically reduced prices! Keep in mind that this is a scratch and dent sort of place though they do sell new pieces as well. Look at all your prospective purchases carefully and ask lots of questions if you need. I found the entire staff from the sales people to the delivery/set up to be very helpful. Keep in mind I am talking about the store just off of Nasa Rd NOT the one near Cullen (terrible customer service at that one and less selection). Bottom line this place really helped me put my kitchen back together after the flood.

Came here last year when it was a Sears Outlet. Bought a Craftsman gas power washer - new but discontinued model - for a great price. It works great and the salesman was attentive and loaded the box on my truck for me. I asked about using my Sears points towards the purchase but he wouldn’t answer me...I let it go since I was getting a real good deal anyway. Truck drivers: they will take you early. I would suggest getting here right when they open between 0130 and 0330, otherwise you have to deal with cars in the parking lot. One thing that bugs me is the unnecessary amount of safety measures you have to do. Chock both sides of the trailer, disconnect and lock red line, and put landing gear down. Honestly Im surprised they didnt make me stand outside my truck. I think one chock and the lock is more than sufficient.Easiest route: 45 to Griggs. Would not suggest coming the other way. Sharp turns and trains are constantly running

We ordered on line. It took three weeks to receive the oven. Cool with that. Oven missing parts. Two to Three more weeks to receive a new oven. Took off of work to receive the oven. Never called the day before for delivery time. I called them the day of delivery to find out what time. Sales manager told me they only deliver on Wednesdays to Katy. So waiting another week for them to pick it up and three to five days for our refund? This is good customer service??????? Shame on you!!!! I couldnt be happier with my purchase and the entire process at Sears Outlet. I purchased a very high end 48 range online, had small cosmetic issues, great price. The manager Kendall was there in the store when I arrived to inspect the item before delivery. He was very helpful, professional and polite. He answered all of my questions, I noticed several parts were missing and he ordered them for me and is having them sent to me. I had a nightmare trying to order from applianceconnection.com prior to this same purchase so when this went so smoothly I was so incredibly happy. Thank you Kendall and all of your team.

Just left this horrible outlet with three kids at this hour. (Around 7:15)I even called 5 times before to make sure everything was a go.. no answer.. So.. I came all the way from Northeast Houston ordering an online oven order that their so called “manager” said wasn’t out in their inventory “physically” yet they had them all in the “mattress room”. They actually had more than 2 available online and physically about 4 that I seen. He was literally closing the store up already at 7 and they close at 9 and said those stoves weren’t in the system yet. I then asked when they would be in the system then. He said they had to be physically there. I insisted that they were there and all he had to do was scan them. He clearly seen them there too..He then said he had no control on putting them online in the system and what was out in the front was all they had. (Which was a lie) The girl working there was so helpful though and helped me find them “physically” it was him who was ready to go home 2 hours earlier and not help at all. He was so unhelpful, rude, and could careless. I’m not sure how he’s even a manager. He seems like he’s all over the place and doesn’t have anything together in the store seeing how behind their system online is and how they have tons of stoves and other appliance just there not being sold because of his lack of wanting to work or sell any. Just worried for a paycheck, I’m sure. Never again...Oh and you have to look for the model number yourself to find what you bought online too yourself. Like literally have to go through them and move them yourself (baby in hand) they do not help at all and at the end just tell you whatever they want apparently ..

Her help was indispensable to help me from Dallas, The out let saved me 700 over the big box store, the secret is research and buy the most reliable brand. In my case LG is the most reliable and makes Kenmore washer and dryers. Watch for the 40 percent off items and the 10pct weekend. The best sales person and the most helpful I have encountered.

Nothing was wrong with the HE washer I bought. I didnt like the way it crumpled my clothes when it was finished washing. And it left a residue on my clothes. I called two weeks later and begged them to let me replace it, but replacing it didnt meet the terms of my purchase, since nothing was wrong with it. and I hadnt had it checked out by a serviceman, per the terms of my contract.I called again two weeks later and begged them to replace it. Even though the 30 days had passed in which I could make another transaction (actually, it was day 32), and even though I hadnt had it verified by a serviceman that anything was wrong with it (I told them that nothing was wrong with it, that I just hated it), they said okay. They were so nice. I got a brand-new in-the-box machine at 40% off for $100 less. They even gave me money back for the difference. I wanted to write this review because sometimes new people join a team, and maybe these new ones are very helpful, and maybe the old ones werent?A lady there even told me a possible HE washer that I would be happy with, should I ever choose to repurchase one. My sales person was great until they forgot to schedule my delivery. I called the store and after about the third try to call, someone answered. The assistant manager helped me get my delivery quickly after the mistake and the delivery team was very helpful and good at their job. Very good deals. This is a dent and scratch location. They also have new. We found a fridge in stainless with all the bells and whistles for about 1/2 of the original price. It had a little dent on the side near the rear lower corner. No-one is going to see that! I made the purchase and all is well. The ice maker works really nice. We went this route because we didnt have a lot of money but really needed an upgrade. It worked out perfect. Overall Im a happy customer.

Our refrigerator died a sudden death while we were out of town. After searching around for a good deal on refrigerators I remembered the Sears outlet. The floor staff was very helpful in helping us find a unit that fit our needs. The assistant managers were knowledgeable and made our purchase hassle free. Horrible customer service, took me 4 times to get a hold of someone when I would call. The male that works in the evening is so rude for no reason when I asked him a question . Got home and the dryer did not work, later my mom told me that the same man was whispering something to the lady that worked there... I’m thinking they knew it was defective and cared less if it was sold that way .Returning it since I’m still within my 30 days, however never returning . Prefer to pay full price and not have to deal with rude people.

HAPPY ENDING1)I got a stove and then the two racks that came in delivery did not fit ..I called in advance and went back to exchange the racks and was given one that was 1 1/2 too deep. So now I have to return AGAIN!! TO get a sales person to help is also a big time sucker.2) when you call the number it states it is non existed as I did several times then it sets lines are temporarily busy..3) no manual comes with the appliances 4) when I did talk to the sales person IN ADVANCE so that the replacement rack would be up front when I arrived and that was not the case and the other salesman had to look up my info which took at least 15 minutes..go figure..Service is not what it used to be..I will be getting additional appliances at Best Buy or elsewhere.Disappointed to have to write a poorly rated review.
