Would not buy appliances anywhere else, the quality of the service and appliances are far superior to any other option
Our family has been using Norwest for many years. We moved to Galveston and they provided appliances and service there. Now in Sugar Land. Steven ensured we had appliances immediately. A++ for Norwest.
Our washer died, after a prolonged illness. It has been repaired several times the last few years and it was time(12years) to call it.We called an hour before closing and an hour away. The owner said to come on by and he would stay to take care of us.They were professional and helpful. We were buying a standard washer, but there show room is mostly high end. After helping load our washer in the trailer another lady stopped buy and they helped her also. It was an hour after closing and they were not rushing anyone.Smooth easy buying experience. We will be back and recommend them.
No stars for this horrible place. My 83 y/o mom ordered an electric oven in January. She was initially given February 24th as the delivery date. Fast-forward to May 3rd, and still no oven. We have repeatedly called GE, but they have no record of her order number, which was provided to us by Mr. Barnes. When we called Nor-west to check the status, Mr. Barnes is rude and unhelpful to say the least. He stated he had no number to call GE, he could only log into his portal. When we asked for a refund, he refused to give a full refund - he was going to charge us a 5% credit card fee even though he confirmed he was paid immediately by Syn-Chrony.
High end appliances with expert sales folks who are extremely knowledgeable. Location is somewhat difficult to get to and out of the way, but if you want a top flight appliance, this is the place to go.
Stephen was very knowledgeable and pricing is on point versus many of the other high end appliance dealers.
This place knows everything you ever wanted to know about appliances. And their prices are the same as the big box stores. Keep your money in Texas.Buy local.
Great Business and appreciate Stephen the Owner... Good Value...
Lots of things to see and buy here.
We visited Nor-West a few times while researching for a new range for our home. Stephen was very knowledgeable, patient, and didnt put on a hard sale. He went the extra mile and accommodated our construction schedule. Our beautiful Verona range arrived on time and was installed without any issues.
Guy was on the phone and we didn’t get any service so we left ..we needed a stove top and vent a hood
Great prices and service
They need professional staff, and be more responsible.I bought a dishwasher and they rescheduled my delivery 4 times, and to top it off the day they came they arrived super late, and the technical assumptions did not know how to install it completely.
We redid out entire kitchen a couple of years ago. We replaced the Fridge, Range, Vent Hood, Microwave and Dishwasher. The products were top notch and have worn extremely well. The only appliance we didnt initially replace with Nor-West was the ice make. We bought a cheap one online ... and it was horrible. Nor-West helped us find a good ice make and weve had no problems since then. The owner has been nothing but helpful to me and my wife through the years. I would highly recommend them ... and I have recommended them ... to anyone looking for high quality appliances.
Update:When you spend close to 10k, I would expect better customer service. No one in the store knows what the other is doing. I got a different answer every time I called about picking up my appliances. When I asked to get an email confirmation so we are all in the same page, I was told “no” by the owner. Hopefully, I can pick up my product tomorrow and it will all be there.Updated comment:Appliances were picked up the following morning. This was accomplished only because I maintain contact with the warehouse worker. The owner refused to contact the worker the day before to establish a pick up time. He claimed he didn’t provide employees with business phones and he didn’t know the personal phone number to the worker. He (owner) would only have contact with the worker only when the worker walked into the store. (Really? Wow...that’s odd)It all started when I called because it had been a long time since I had ordered the appliances. I was told upon ordering that they would be there in no more than two weeks (I didn’t request for any of my appliances to “be stored in their warehouse”). Here we are going on almost a month and nothing. When they answered the phone(the same day I called) I was told that someone had left me a message that the appliances were ready for pick up ( which I never got). I was then told that someone would call me back with a date/time to pick up because they didn’t have the fridge in that warehouse and someone needed to pick it up from another warehouse. Then, around noon a male (the warehouse worker) called me saying he was waiting on me to pick up. I didn’t ask to pick up that same day...I didn’t even know he was waiting on me. I told the worker I would not be able to pick up until 3pm because I was in the middle of something but I would go out of my way to go pick up if they needed me to. He said that was fine and we hung up. I called the worker back at 2:30pm to let him know that I was about to be on my way. He then told me he was out on the field. That’s when I called the owner and asked if they could coordinate between them a time and get back with me. That’s also when the owner said he didn’t have a way to contact the worker and refused to send me an email with a pick up time/date. So I turned to the worker and arranged a time with him. It’s weird to me how somehow the worker would communicate just fine with me but the owner doesn’t even have his phone number...The next day when I arrived in the morning, the worker was very helpful and welcoming to me! I don’t know how all of this would have worked out if it weren’t for him! I think this worker deserves more gratitude from his employer. If the rest of them were as helpful as the warehouse worker, I would def go back...but the reply that the owner made makes me think that he still doesn’t realized what happened. Instead of commenting about how they can do better next time, the comment is about how they asked for a day notice on pick ups...they should take that policy into consideration themselves because they’re the ones that scheduled the pick up the same day...not me.
Not a big box store good prices
Very unhappy with purchase there. I purchased a Napoleon Grill, it wasnt fully functional, apparently their policy is for cash and carry only. They do not support what they sell, they will sell it to you, without any guarantee that the product you purchase will be fully functional. So if it is broke, like my unit was, too bad for you. You are onto support with the company who built the product. This is crummy support. I would not purchase from them again. I would go as far to urge you to seek other retailers.
I dont understand why such negativity. I loved my experience with Nor-West. Stephen was the ONLY dealer in the state who could show me the Napoleon grill I thought I wanted. Based on that experience, I actually changed my mind and bought a different Napoleon setup. Not only was he helpful with his experience, but because I live a few hours away from Houston and the only time I could make it was after closing hours, he opened his business after hours just for me.I, too, have had a few problems with my new grill, but Napoleon customer service has been wonderful about getting things all fixed up. I love my outdoor kitchen!!!
Agree with all the previously posted reviews. I was looking to purchase a Yoder Smoker. This is one of two dealers in the Houston market. For the life of me I cant understand why Yoder, a company with an outstanding reputation, would use Nor-West to be one of their representatives. Have been to the location twice and the experience was similar to that of others posting here - unfriendly personnel, sloppy looking showroom and an overall lack of professionalism. Called twice to get information. Couldnt get the info I needed on the call, but was never called back even after they took my name and number. I am moving on to purchase my smoker elsewhere as I have zero confidence in this company and cant imagine what type of treatment I might get if I had an issue with the product. Goodbye Nor-West!Update:After seeing the owners response, I want to change this to 0 stars, but there is no option for that. Sure Mr. Owner, I was in the wrong store and missed all the phone calls when you tried to call me back. What a joke!
I would not recommend NorWest appliances to anybody. We bought a SMEG dishwasher and stove from them. They scheduled a delivery and they did not show up. They rescheduled for the next day between 3 and 5 and they showed up at 8. When they showed up, I had to go to the home depot to buy the pieces they did not have with them to install the appliances. At the end, they were not able to install neither the dishwasher nor the stove. They came back to finish the installation of the dishwasher but they were not able to do it right. They are just not competent enough to do their job.
Purchased a Speed Queen top loader and front loader washer both on the same day.The reviews were mixed on the internet, but had friend that was sold on this product. We varied from the friends recommendation and selected the non button type for supposedly the electronic buttons had better-longer warranty. Nor-West salesman and company have no employee factory trained installers, but use third party subcontractor.Nor-West also do not have any factory trained repair people for any appliance that they sell.Called the phone number provided by Nor-West sales person to the authorized Speed Queen service Dept. only to be informed that we are supposed to register our product online before they can help us with service, something Nor West sales person failed to mention .Registered both the washer & dryer only now to informed by Speed Queen authorized service dept. we will get service 8 days from now and a service person will give us 30 mins head up call to get home in to meet theservice person. This is code for No Set Appointment time or window of time for service. We were also informed by Speed Queen Service dept. if the washer or dryer was not installed correctly we the home owner will be responsible for a service call fee.Note: We used Nor West authorized subcontractor and paid additional monies for the install.Lessons learned in the future better to purchase from Sears or Best Buy even if you cant get a Speed Queen, where they have factory trained appliance repair people on hand that actually work from the place you purchased the appliance.
Delivered non working $8k fridge NO RETURNSCall GE to register your product and then have them come out to service it was their advice. Calling my credit card to dispute the charge, then my attorney, then the BBB. Buyer beware! And that is a complete lie. There was no offer fo an inspection to see if it worked - by the way, IT DOESNT COOL, but by all means if you want to determine that yourself and take the lemon refrigerator you delivered back then please let me know. There was no offer to call GE for me either. This company has absolutely no integrity. The only help they offered was to give me the phone number to call GE myself.
One of the worst places. Refuse to take anything back. All of the pieces I recieved were dented and Stephen the go to guy is extremely rude and nasty... when they messed the pieces up! He immediately pointed fingers and called names. NEVER GO THERE! They are disorganized and forget to put orders in!You can also tell from their responses to customers how unwilling and arrogant they are.
Amazing people and amazing quality!
We bought an electric stove from them for our 110 foot boat. Great price.
Nor-west is great appliance company...we found everything we needed. Nor-west was the only place that we were able to find the French Door style refrigerator that I wanted that would fit in our custom kitchen. Though we have had a few problems with it through the years Steve the Owner of Nor-West was extremely helpful when we had to replace it due to a Freon leak. He has always stood behind his products. We love our Induction Stove top ...so safe around our grandchildren. Our Double Oven has been wonderful as I bake 2 and 3 times a week for our Synagogue as well as Childrens Birthday Cakes. And last but not least our dishwasher is great. Teri G.
Scam with NO prices on website
Excellent inventory..!
Treated me with disrespect! I needed a stand alone wine cooler. Treated me like trash because I didn’t ask for a build in. Over quotes my to get me out of the store. Good luck to them.
The arrogance that the king salesman stephen approached me with was apauling to say the least, every question I asked he had a one word answer as if I was holding him up some how . I tried to explain that I wasnt fully understamding his short answers, as homeowners dont deal with renovations daily . stephen became flustered, and asked me to get more details and return . he then turned his back and walked away . Do not go here unless u want to b be-littled
Really great customer service and fantastic prices on solid appliances.
These people know kitchen appliances! Local business, lots of displays and tons of knowledge.
I wish I had read the review about Electrolux before we bought $6 K worth? of product last year. The state of the art frig is a piece of crap and hasnt worked properly for one day since we purchased it right at a year ago. It looks like Im going to court to have it replaced. Oh, by the way, when I called Nor-West to finally let them know I wasnt satisfied, Mr. Steven didnt want to talk about it and hung up on me. I guess they are JUST a sales company. So just call me the dumb a__ for buying from them. Dont make the same mistake. Ronald C. Goedecke
We explained to the salesman that our house had been flooded, and replacement cabinets were currently being built. We then bought a cooktop. In fine print on the invoice, which the salesman DIDNT BOTHER TO POINT OUT, it states there is a 20% re-stocking fee on returns. Sure enough, the cooktop didnt fit in our new countertop. When we called to ask if it could be returned, Nor-West said too bad, there will be a re-stocking fee, plus we will have to pay shipping to have the cooktop returned to the manufacturer. He then offered to have someone alter the countertop to fit the cooktop! We relunctantly agreed, but then Nor-West never bothered to follow-up and the installer would not return phone calls. This company does not know the meaning of Customer Service. In addition, they will take advantage of people in a bad situation, such as a flood. Definitely not recommended.
Store always have the latest in style an preformance. Good prices.
All of the negative reviews here are about Electrolux - and not about Nor-west. Strange.I purchased Thermador rangetop, Zephyr range hood, Bosch diswahser and Oven/microwave combo. All the items I received were brand new and installed properly. NW worked with my countertop guys to ensure that everything fit correctly and I couldnt have asked for better service. They also saved me ~$1k by telling me about rebates I was not aware of.Id recommend these guys any day. Very honest, straightforward and easy to deal with.
Bought 3 Bosch appliances in 2016. Just found out today that the Refrigerator was a 2012 Model but sold to us as new. 😡
Nice selection of appliances and knowledgeable sales team.
Very cool place for a great selection of appliances.
They did 👍
Exelent prices, highly recommend!

Purchase all of my appliances here.
