Picked up my avid 21fs from Mount Houston Marine on September 24th 2021. Theres most definitely something about dealing with a family-owned company versus a giant corporation. The kindness and professionalism along with the attention to detail that the good folks at Mount Houston Marine provided simply is top-notch. Second to none! I dont care if you have to drive a thousand miles to do business with the people at Mount Houston Marine. Trust me. DO IT! It would be worth the trip. Refreshing great experience! Stay safe and God bless.
Just bought my first boat and I have to say I was a little nervous about it prior to calling Mt Houston. Tyler took the time to explain every part of the boat and educate me on proper procedures. I have a strong feeling this will not be my last boat and I will definitely be going back to buy the next one.
Really enjoyed buying our pathfinder from my houston tyler and team are really greatwe will purchase another boat again from them and refer others
Glenn and the crew are awesomeUpdate took the ol dargel in for first service Thursday no problems with the boat, motor, one trailer hub small leak and blown/ melted light replaced light for me and got me ready for the vault hub to be replaced when ever I can. Re string canvas top interface cable transducer adjustments washed waxed oil change and called me bout 10 this morning and said it was ready.... Now thats what Im talking about thanks guys at MT Houston marine
Went in to dealership looking for a pathfinder 2200trs. Salesman was a bit condescending. kept saying boat purchasing is not like a car dealership and no negotiation. didnt want to deal. Just my 2 cents...experience was very off with him, did not hit it off well with salesman.I told the salesman i will look for a pathfinder elsewhere. Salesman said good luck with that since PF are sold territorially and I would need to buy from him.
Carol and the guys have been servicing my boat for over 10 years - they manage to keep the old Key West/Yahama running and do a fine job. They indeed understand what service means.
Mt Houston Marine was very easy to work with.
Attempted to get a price on a new 25 Pathfinder and was unsuccessful due to a rude and arrogant salesman. If his actions truly represent the customer service of this dealership, they will not be in business much longer. The management of this dealership should invest resources to train their employees to treat customers with respect and dignity. I would not buy a boat from this dealership if they were the last Pathfinder dealer around.
I bought a dargel 190 TV from them a few years back. They were very excited to sell a boat but when it came down to a few options that I wanted like hydraulic steering, trolling motor and a few other things they became way less then excited. I have seen lazy people like this in the past that only want to do the options that make them the most money but not necessarily make the customer happy. The prop on the boat wouldnt let the 115 s h o Yamaha turn but 5200 RPMs. After talking to my mechanic at Texas Marine in Kemah and owning five other four-stroke Outboards I do know that motor needs to turn a minimum of 5500 RPMs or they will make oil or blow gas by the rings however you want to look at it. I emailed the salesman or whatever he is to the company and brought the over propping to his attention and instead of offering a solution I was basically told it was fine so I ended up buying a different prop from another vendor and having the prop that came on the boat tuned to the boat at Bauman Marine. I wish it would have went better because it is a family-owned and operated business. I have since then sold the dargel and bought another Shallow Sport with the same power and guess what it turns the proper RPM right out of the gate without arguing with a Salesman named Steve LOL! So if you want a underpropped boat with as few options as they can possibly put on it or the options that make them the most money then this is your place. Also I was talking to the owner about my previous boat the manufacturer went out of business and built my boat that I paid nearly $50,000 for was built with not even marine-grade plywood and he actually defended the place saying oh theyre such great people but they screwed so many good people like myself and the nerve of that idiot to say anything good about Explorer boats final days was a kick in the nuts. If they couldnt build the boats right they should not have even built them. Send everyone home turn the sign around to closed and liquidate. Start a new venture you obviously didnt know what you were doing.
Top notch dealer. I bought both of my boats from this dealer. First one in 2002, second in 2014.
Appreciate the time danny took informing us about different styles of boats that would best suit our needs and made us feel that he took pride in customer servive above the boat sale...we are just starting the process of shopping for a bay boat and we really want to make an educated decision; understanding that he gave us some tips on what to look out for and made himself available to help in our process. My husband and I are happy we stopped in!
Great experience mark walked me through the whole process felt like home will always get my service
Very friendly staff! Highly recommend!
