I was stranded on the side of the road. Thank God that my car stopped right across the street from Precision. I was towed to the shop and they immediately met me and diagnosed my car. My alternator was bad. My car arrived about 5:50pm. I was back on the road the very next day with a brand new alternator. I recommend this place 100%.

They don’t force you to buy something you don’t need. Also, it’s located in an area with plenty of walk to shopping and eating. Came to get my a/c compressor replaced. I have to say these are honest and reliable mechanics! I had to come back for a leak from the a/c, it was a faulty o-ring. I had no problem getting in and out! No run around and they rechecked everything just to make sure. Very friendly staff, and lots to do and eat close by while you wait. I highly recommend! Also, have great prices!!!!

Very bad experience. I went to there for state inspection. After taking a look at my tires. They said that three tires need to be replaced. Or, if I pay them $65, they can let my car pass the state inspection.Update on 5/4/2021:I passed the state inspection somewhere else for $25.5. I also went to check the tire thread depth of my tires. I was told that three tires have thread depth of 4/32 and one 5/32.

If i could put no stars i would. It was me and my husband’s first time going and it’ll definitely be the last. We pulled up behind a car they were working on and they told us to back up and wait and we did then the car left so we tried going and driving in to get assistance and a caucasian male YELLED at us in a very rude way saying “go back to the parking” but because of the way he said it we decided to leave and as we were leaving he mouthed “b*tch” at me. Have in mind this was our first time going and we received terrible customer service.

Great service, not so great attitudes

I took my Kia Soul in to this place for an oil change. They did the oil change and evidently didnt tighten the oil plug and while driving the car the oil plug came out, the car lost all of the oil and the engine was damaged. We took the car to another shop to investigate what happened and there they informed us that Precision Tune Auto didnt tighten the oil plug and it came out causing the car to lose all engine oil and destroyed the engine. The manager and district manager of Precision Tune were notified of this issue. They had the car towed from the other shop to their shop. They kept the car in their possession for 5 days then the district manager called me and said he sees the oil plug is missing but he doesnt see oil so its no way they could be responsible. What a poor and unprofessional company this is. Now we have a totally destroyed engine because of the lack of professionalism and experience Im assuming but nevertheless I would never take another car to Precision Tune Auto in Houston, TX on Dairy Ashford. These guys will destroy your engine and say its not their fault because they see their mistake but dont see oil on the ground 2 weeks after the engine has been destroyed.Update on this review... Precision Tune further assessed the situation and immediately after determining they would replace the engine it was in the shop getting the work done. Everyone is human so mistakes are made. Hats off to the staff at Precision Tune Auto for being responsible, timely, and professional. I now understand that theres an assessment process before taking responsibility and they followed their procedure and still carried themselves in an upstanding and professional manner... with that being said, I believe the company and their staff at this location deserves a 5 star rating

Bought a synthetic oil change off Groupon and set up an appt for my oil change over Precision Tunes website. It was very easy to do, I was about five minutes late to my appt and they got me in anyways no problem.Very friendly service, will be bringing my car back here for sure.

First off, we had our driver to take the car for a synthetic oil change. However being that the oil change is good for 5,000 miles. Well on 2/19 the car completely stopped driving. We had the car towed to the shop which is who we always used. They tell us that it was the last company who did the oil change. They didnt put the plug. I asked was it possible the driver could had driven over something they said NO. The issue is I have yet to have someone call me or even to go look at the car from this company. Ivan advised he would call me back. Its been almost a week no call. Im very disappointed and think this is extremely unprofessional.2 months update: motor replaced with a short warranty on a rebuilt motor. They were supposed to continue to do oil change. There was a problem with them on the first oil change. However it was done. Now today they are to busy to change oil.. 🙄🙄 what a joke....Beware of Service!!!

I’m having the worst experience ever, I have been using your service for 2 years, and you guys are treating me like I’m new customer. They hit my car in the bag and they did not tell me anything, when I went to pick it up after an oil change. They say they will take care of the expenses but they block my phone number and my boyfriends phone number so that they cannot be contacted. Now they have made me leave my car in a workshop and I am not sure if they will pay for it or not. Im really disappointed and I just hope they really fix it. This review is long delayed. I’ve been a happy and satisfied customer since forever (~2016). These guys are super honest, helpful and so PRECISE in diagnosing my car problems. If they had the same type of people running a vet clinic, I’d take my pet there. And if they’d run a medical clinic, I’d take all my family members there. But since their specialty is limited to automobiles, I can only recommend them for cars. Jokes aside, these guys are awesome possums! So glad I found them GroupOn years ago when I did! Between this location and their FM 529 location, every person I’ve come across has been super professional, prompt and so very kind. Thanks for changing the roads, one car at a time!

I was hesitant at first when I first visited. But after receiving my car back, I was incredibly impressed. Mr. Ivan walked me through the parts that needed fixing and did not pressure me to fix them all at once. I am extremely impressed by his professionalism and how he did viewed me as a person and not someone to make a quick buck off. I will be visiting again for my needed car repairs.

Love the attentive care of my car

Do not go here. Slow and sloppy service.Normally, I do minor maintenance by myself, but I came here because it was conveniently close to the gym. I needed a simple oil change. They upsold and tacked on a cabin air filter change. A pretty standard move, no problems yet. I agreed to the air filter since it was due for a change.They estimated my wait would be about 30 minutes. I said okay, and informed them I’d be across the street working out. I came back 1 hour and 15 minutes later and it’s still not done. I wait another 30 in the lobby while they finish up my car and they argue with another customer.Fast forward about a year later and I go to check my cabin air filter and I find this flimsy paper filter jammed into the filter slot. The proper style filter is held in by a plastic housing. The one they installed has none and it’s way too small. This small filter is still pretty clean, because it’s not filtering! All of the air just blows around it. They most likely didn’t have the proper filter on hand, and just jammed in whatever would fit.To add insult to injury they installed the filter facing the wrong way. The flow direction is backwards.*UPDATE*I would like to address this comment posted in response, from Precision Tune Auto Care, to my review. We used the standard size cabin air filter that is appropriate for your vehicle. I certainly apologize if you felt we did not install the correct filter.First of all, I do not feel that the wrong filter was installed. I know it!You can see from my posted photo that the installed filter is Purolator model C25858 this is for an SUV. Purolator recommends C38175 for my sedan. The correct filter has a plastic housing, the one you installed does not. The correct filter is also more expensive!Also, if I didnt know how to look this up, I would still know that the installed filter is wrong because it was way too small. Theres the issue with the flow direction of the filter being put in wrong as well.Its not rocket science. I still stand by all of my previous statements. Slow, sloppy service, and I would like to add untrustworthy.

They do full synthetic 5 quarts oil change at pretty good price. To the point and quick oil change during weekday but you need to make sure if they have availability during weekend as they get booked.

I’m so dis-satisfied with the level of care precision has shown my wife whom was a loyal customer for the last 5 years. We now have to repair her AC a second time in 2 years because the mechanic who was in charge of the job, felt he should not complete what was requested because he felt it was unnecessary even though it was required with dealer. I always that that if a customer specifically request a service it should be completed and not disregarded .

I have gone to precision auto for synthetic oil change,they change the oil n told me front brakes are 5 to 10 percent working so you have to change it, but I dont know 1 month before I change front brakes and rotter Newone n when I told them so they recheck n told me its good n technician is new, so how they give wrong information

I was greeted warmly when I walked in the door as were other customers that came in after me. I brought my wifes car in for an oil change and their technician not only handled that task professionally but also gave the car a thorough multi-point inspection. When the car was ready the young lady who had greeted me in the beginning went over my invoice with me and covered the suggested maintenance items to consider to keep the car in tip top shape. It turns out that her husband either owns or manages the place and you could tell by the way they treated me and their others customers that their customers come first and that they take pride in their work. Ill definitely be going back for service here in the future.

I have been taking my car to Precision Tune Auto Care for about two years. Ive had a brake job, oil changes, anti freeze overflow bottle change, inspection and other services performed.I like the professionalism and the staff vast knowledge about car issues. A special shout out to Abel. He always goes over and beyond to make sure I walk out a satisfied customer. Oh I forgot to mention that the prices are fair. Let me not forget to mention that I never leave feeling Ive been ripped off. You know how you go to some mechanics, they always come back with a long list of issues they said they found wrong with your car and make you feel if you leave without addressing the issues your car will sustain further damage. Never happened to me here. You owe it to yourself to check out this place if you are looking for first class mechanics.

Service was moderately quick around the Holiday season, and affordable. I was over 11,000 miles on an oil change. So they change my oil, cleaned the burned oil out, & suggested that I change my worn out windshield wiper blades. Thank you for the great service.

The branch in westheimer and south dairy ashford at which i took my car to get the oil replaced for $39.99 promotion they had was clean and fairly prompt in letting me know how long the waiting time was and they delivered as they communicated initially. Checked the oil viscosity, color, ph and oil filter after replacement and happy with their job.The only thing that if i knew i would wait in the time of pandemic that we are instructed to pay more attention to social distancing was the waiting part in a room of approximately 10 by 10 square feet where 5 people were sitting and waiting for their cars. To owners credit they did put the chairs distant around 6ft apart which was nice to see but for higher risk people i would certainly recommend going either vert early or later in the afternoon.

This place provides high quality work without the worry of an auto shop taking advantage of you. I needed a tune up and they showed me how bad my spark plugs were and took off items that were NOT needed to help reduce costs. I highly recommend this place! Talk to Abel and James... theyre really great at what they do!

I came in to have my car serviced and I was refused service because I was told that I look like a broke white lady who didnt have any money to spend. I have never felt so insulted and degraded in my life at any type of business I think this is very unprofessional and I think the manager and I do not know his name all I can say is hes a black man was very very rude and hurtful and I will not ever frequent this establishment again

I got a full synthetic oil change on my 2018 Dodge Challenger. I arrived right before they closed and was only there for 30mins. The service was great and they even showed me a few things about my cars touch screen that shows me when I actually need a change. I have no complaints and will definitely go back there whenever my car has a problem.

I have been to this facility couple of time but my last experience was more than pathetic. Issue was more around customer service and commitment that was made by Manager of this Facility. After Oil change was done I saw a door dent and asked about it. He was simply not ready to listen anything about it. Whether it happened there or not needed to be investigated, He then promised to rewind camera with owner and give me a call to update. Next week he did not call. He called after that to let me know that he had not been able to rewind the cameras. I gave him enough time like 6 or more weeks. I never got a call. Then I decided to go in person and ask. His response was my owner came and asked me not to bother about it. Since Owner signs my Pay Check so I did not call you. I asked that was your commitment to call and if I am not satisfied then we will go through the security camera once again. He simply refused to listen to me. He kept on saying that Owner asked him not to bother. I requested to speak to owner. He was not ready for that too. This was happening almost after 6-7 weeks after the actual incident. I kept on saying that I just want to be ensure by looking at the security camera tapes. The way this whole stuff was handled is simply unacceptable that too him knowing that I was a repeat customer. Not less than 5 person I have referred to this place. AVOID . SIMPLY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Look at the Handwritten note in Picture where I was told that these camera will be rewind.

Be careful, I question the integrity of the employees. I came here for an inspection. A mechanic at Precision Tune Auto Care reported that I needed quite a few things that my mechanic said none of which I needed. The things consisted of transmission fluid, transmission filter, rear differential fluid, transfer case fluid, fuel injection cleaning, intake cleaning, brake fluid flush and a tune up.They also said my front brakes were at 50% and rear brakes were at 40%. Now mind you, I had all the brakes replaced less than 6 months ago and I drive less than 10 miles a day.My wipers were replaced less than 6 months ago and the mechanic at Precision Tune Auto Care said I needed those as well. He said that if I didnt get them replace by Precision Tune Auto Care before I left their business my state inspection would not pass. When I questioned him about the condition of my wipers he stated that they had micro cuts on them. I felt pressured to allow him to replace them because the mechanic there told me I would not be able to come back until the next day and they would have to start the inspection process all over again. I approved the service but asked him to give me my old wipers for my own inspection. I watched another mechanic take off the old wipers replaced them with their wipers and put my old wipers in the new box. That same mechanic saw me watching the process. He stepped away from my car and out of my view for 5 minutes. He came back with some wipers and placed them in my car. When I got in my car I pulled out the old wipers and inspected them. Both wipers appeared to have had the rubber pulled away from the blades at one end. I use Lexus parts on my car. We have had rain for about 2 weeks on and off and my blades were perfectly fine. Something does not feel right about this entire process and I will not be going back.Use caution when going here.

This is the only place I trust my vehicle to. I came in with a problem I thought I had, they looked at my vehicle..... and said …. That is not the problem - this is the problem.. SAVED ME $600! And from there we prioritized each task for my 11 year old vehicle. (she rides smooth like butta) These guys are playing no games.. NO BS! The Best in H-Town!
