We went there thinking this would be a European-style bakery because we like French-style bakeries. Got an almond croissant, a coconut danish, and a lemon danish. As bread, taste was good but the texture of the items was different than we expected. Compared with other French-style bakeries weve tried, the danishes seemed to be made like cinnamon rolls and the croissant was more like regular bread--thick and not flaky like a croissant. They also have other pastries like cakes and cookies and they looked good but I wondered whether they were more French or more American style. Anyway, staffers were friendly and atmosphere was pleasant.

This bakery was an added bonus, being in the same strip center as the restaurant we ate at. WE bought a couple cookies and took pics of everything. I picked up a pound of voodoo brew roasted at their Braeswood blvd. location. Ive tried and enjoyed these whole beans from Costa Rica and Nicaragua. They only thing I would do differently Is put a roast date and a use by date on each bag. FYI....the bag I bought was fresh. A lot of roasters sell you a 12 ounce bag....Brothers does a whole pound....I like that. It would be nice if they made a few keto options.....hint, hint.

This place a great add in for Spring Branch! We bought a 6 pack of cupcakes for potluck and it was sufficient for a cupcake per couple. Delicious and flavorful. The designs are stellar and they were friendly and on top of service!

#1 bakery in town…. Great people with great taste…. They used very good ingredients in their product. Always have great experience as well as their prices are also very reasonable. Very very tasty cakes they make.

Nice store and everything looks so yummy. I didnt have time to special order so I bought a cake out of the case. I know it was there from at least Saturday because they arent open on Sunday and this was early Monday at 7:45 am and they said I couldnt order anything to be ready that day at 4:00 pm. So she said they had two cakes like I wanted so I had one held of those cakes in the case. It was $45.00 White cake with Butter Cream icing. The cake was very dry and the butter cream hard by then. I was disappointed to give this to someone. So I would say do not shop from the case. The personnel there are very helpful and nice, but they have no control over several day old items. I usually like Three Brothers for Bread, but this will be my last cake from there.

Full of MANY pastries/cakes/pies of many kinds. Lil higher for my personal pockets, but definitely good for treating.

I was a little disappointed I was expecting a very moist cake instead they were A bit dry and buttercream was a bit stiff. However they were good. 6 for $ 18.99.i would recommend

The cupcakes always look fabulous but are extremely disappointing. The texture is too dry, they literally crumble when eaten and the frosting is overly sweet. The only flavor coming through is an overload of sugary butter no matter what the flavor they all taste like sweet nothing.

Went to Three Brothers Bakery for the first time yesterday, 02/12/2021. Amazing experience. Customer service was on point, all thier pastries looked amazing. We tried the chocolate croissant, chocolate coconut macaroon and pecan pie and my husband and I were not disappointed 😋. The coffee was fresh, hot and delicious. It was such a great experience that we had to visit again the next day. We went in the afternoon and some pastries ran out so best to go early. The coffee was still amazing and fresh just like the first experience. This time we tried the Crispy Pecan Bar and the Lemon 🍋 bar. Yummiest... Sorry, took a bit of the Pecan Bar... we couldnt wait to taste it.

I stopped to try the cupcakes. I got a lemon cupcake which was unfortunately very stale. The cake itself was very dry and the lemon center was actually bitter. The frosting was tasty but it just couldnt make up for the other.I am going to give it another try. It could just be one of those days.The young lady that waited on me was very pleasant

My Mom has loved this bakery for decades. Its her birthday today, and she recently passed away. I came in for a piece of the cake that she loved. They no longer offer slices of this cake. When someone is crying in your bakery, find a way to get them what they drove across town to get. This was important to me. So very disappointed in the employee who just didnt care.

Stopped in today and purchased Italian Cream cupcakes, they looked wonderful. However the cake was extremely dry and somewhat stale tasting. The Icing was wonderful, but couldnt compensate for the cake itself.

Bought an $80 cake for my coworkers going away party. The writing was horrendous. It was uneven and uncentered. I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw it. It was delivered so I didnt see if prior to serving. It became a joke at the party and was quite embarrassing. I reached out to the manager and she first offered a $5 credit which was ridiculous for an $80 cake. After several emails she was able to refund me $20. Because of this lack of attention to detail I will not be returning to this location. Very unfortunate since the cake actually tasted good.

As soon as we were walked in we were greeted warmly by a polite and courteous staff they had a wonderful selection of baked goods and other things and Ethan helped us out at the counter he was very polite and very professional I had a really good experience at this place and I would recommend that everybody come here

Just had the best King Cake ever!! Very moist, real icing, and stuffed in the middle with cream cheese and raspberry. I also had a wonderful carrot cake! Perfect amount of icing to cake ratio. Their icing taste “real” - not too sugary but still very sweet. Topped off with a great cup of coffee. The desserts are so yummy and a nice portion so I didn’t eat all of them at one time. I have something to look forward to all weekend! Great service too! Very polite and helpful!

I purchased a dozen cupcakes today; 9 to take to work for a coworker’s birthday celebration, and 3 for us to enjoy at home. I’d heard nothing but great things about Three Brothers, so I was very excited to give their pastries a try. As soon as we cut into the first cupcake, it was clear how dry it was. The cake crumbled into bits. The cake was not moist at all. We purchased three flavors - red velvet, lemon, and cheesecake. They were all very very dry. The lemon filling in the lemon cupcake made it tolerable, but the rest were barely edible. I called to ask if they’re old and was told they were baked this morning. I don’t think I believe that. It all tastes very old. Also - keep in mind that their frosting is traditional buttercream, so it is very thick and dense (like eating butter). We will not be back, to each their own.

All of their desserts are so great! I’m especially a fan of their key lime pie and their strawberry cupcakes. The little peanut butter squares (not sure what they’re called) are also amazing! The people who work the counter are always so friendly, too. Truly a delightful place to visit.

A family member brought the coconut cake for Easter. It was horrible. It crumbled apart when it was cut it was so dry. There was hardly any coconut and the cream cheese icing had a weird taste and smell. I’m sorry I ate it and I hope I don’t get sick.The Coconut cake from Le Madeline is the best and I wishe they had let me bring it.

This is the second of the 3 Three Brothers Bakery Houston locations that I have visited in less than a week. The exterior is clean and well maintained. The interior is also tidy and tastefully decorated. The items I wanted were in stock. There is an awesomely extensive selection of baked goods. I got a 1.5lb Challah loaf, a poppyseed Hamantaschen, and a blueberry Hamantaschen. The cashier Ezra was polite and prompt. He allowed me to take some pictures for the review. I plan to return in the near future! I cant wait to eat my pastries.

Really disappointing experience. I got a loaf of wheat bread which was great. Unfortunately my chocolate eclair and chocolate macaroon were terrible. They tasted stale and like they had been previously frozen or something.I also tried a cinnamon muffin and it was very dry and pretty forgettable. Maybe it was a off day but it was a truly disappointing experience.

My husband bought two Babka today cinnamon raisin and chocolate.We went to cut them tonight and they are black, burnt on the bottom and SO dry you couldnt swallow it.The top was hard as a rock you could not even press it down! Whomever baked these should be ashamed to call themselves a baker!! We called and spoke to Ashley who was very sweet.We took them back and she tried to press the top and agreed they were rock hard and burnt.We paid by debit ....the money went out of my account however we could not get the money back and were told it takes 5 days.Many other amazing bakers around town wont be back here.Worst babka in 63 years of living here!! We also got a coconut and an apple danish.These were about 3 days old dry and disgusting.

So this place. My God I had heard good things about it. And I’m a pastry Dessert lover. I had two of their chocolate cakes the death by chocolate and the chocolate ripple fudge. We also had a couple of their cookies and just for curiosity one of their French rolls. In my opinion the cakes were not to my desire they were too sweet and crummy. I like my cakes moist so that’s my taste. The French roll and cookies I think way over priced one cookie 1.99 and one roll .99 so I mean maybe cause I’m used to paying the most for a roll 60 cents. But I mean the store was cute. They do have excellent service and presentation. So I’ll have to come back and try something else.

Ive ordered many cakes from this location over the years but it seems the quality has gone down a lot in the last year. My most recent cake collapsed before being able to display for a birthday party and their apology was just to re-make the cake (weeks after the actual party). Though I appreciated the gesture I didnt think re-making the cake after the fact would help at all- they also didnt seem very apologetic or understanding. Will have to find a new preferred cake place :(.

Love this place for the comfortable & welcoming ambience, the nice coffee & great assortment of different pastry options. Ive been coming here on Saturdays to have some me-time whilst waiting for my kids activity to finish near by & the staff have been great.

I will give 5 stars to the lady that helped me to pick out the cake today super sweet and helpful, but as far as the cake and the flavor go when we went to cut the cake it crumbled into pieces... then when we actually tried the cake it was sooooo dry not moist at all and super stiff on a plain vanilla cake... Only reason i came here was because it was around the corner but i will definitely not be returning.

Extremely disappointing! I ordered a specialty cake for a premium price and received a bland looking cake that I could of got from Sam’s for a fraction of the price! This cake is missing a graduate statute & degree scroll plus a writing supposed to have read “Gig’em Aggies.” I received a call in the morning that this was missing & they could not add it as their location did not have their proper maroon color icing. Upon arriving there I see that half the decorations are missing! On top of that, The graduate cap on the cake is so small, it’s barely half the size of the graduation cap that came on a graduation cake ordered from Sam’s in the past. The manager made no effort to compensate until I insisted to which she offered a whopping $20 off & then could not refund cash as I had paid w/ cash! This was my 3rd or 4th cake order from this bakery. not to mention I made 2 trips way out of my way to place order & pick up. Won’t be doing that again and definitely no referrals! On top of that, the cake is placed in a flimsy, small cardboard box. At least the store-bought cakes are put in plastic so that when you carry it & the container doesn’t give away and smash into the side of the cake as u can see here.

Flies in the bread bag! Went to this location today for the first time after searching for recommended bakeries. Got few bakery items including onion pockets - bag of 2. Came home and noticed two flies in the bag flying and having fun (of course). Couldnt believe my eyes, havent even opened the bag. Called the shop - they were nice and disappointed and offered replacement (no way!) and refund (not driving 5 miles to refresh my memories of disappointment). You can judge/guess for yourself whats going on in their bakery if you wish to. As for me NEVER GOING BACK! See photo for yourself.

The Cake was beautiful...a Big hit!!! Everyone loved it...and it tastes delicious!!!

The best rye bread in town. It is not the original store, that one is on Braes Bayou, but this one does not flood. Although all baking is done off premises, the stuff is fresh, delivered every morning. One of the few places, if not the only one that makes a proper poppy strudel. A special treat. The service is excellent, knowledgeable and very helpful. The store is real community asset.

I wanted to go there b/c I had heard so many great things about this place. Since we were close by yesterday I decided to stop in. The place was neat and clean. The servers were very polite and friendly. The issue I had was the food itself. The slice of lemon cake I ordered was so dry I couldnt even finish it. I took one bite and had to toss it. It looked so good behind the case that I just knew it would be moist. I was so disappointed when it wasnt. We paid for a slice of white cake which we didnt receive so we got a refund. The king cake wasnt good either. The cream cheese tasted off. Maybe we just went in on a bad day, but we wont be visiting again.

My husband got me a birthday cake last week and it looked so nice in the box.. He heard good things about 3BB so he went for it.. when we cut into it, it was so dry and crumbled to pieces. I wasnt going to say anything because I dont want my husband to think he failed- but I read other reviews of people saying their cakes were crumbling and figured it was a good idea to add my experience. The frosting taste old, hard and stale.. I feel like they just took an old cake they had made already and decorated it with my name.. My child wont even eat it, says it makes her feel sick.

Oh my lord the sugar free cheesecake is to die for!!!! I got surgery here in Houston and have had favor deliver cakes and cheesecakes from here almost everyday. I love them!!!

Absolutely phenomenal family bakery which takes time to truly specialize your needs. Their food is so unbelievably fresh AND they serve coffee - where they roast their own beans. Being able to have this type of bakery and feel like they baked it fresh just for you. Try the rainbow cookie - it’s the best ...soft. Also try the croissants - lightly dusted with sugar. A great selection of baked goods, cookies, cakes and treats!

Great bakery with anything your heart desires!

So for the second year in a row my wife got me a cake from here for my birthday. Last year we picked up from the braeswood location and I felt the cake was very dry and crumbly but didnt want to say anything to not hurt her feelings. This year she ordered the cake from this location. The cake was supposed to have an image of a guy from a movie that I like along with a quote. When we got there they had a completely different image on the cake and she was so disappointed because it was supposed to be a surprise for me. The lady there offered to fix it and said if we could come back and pick up the cake but Im supposed to be having family over in an hour and we didnt live close to the bakery so that wasnt an option. We got a full refund for the cake but I just want to say I expect more from a bakery with such good reviews and high prices! It was really disappointing and now I will be going somewhere else for my cake! Two bad experiences two years in a row and I left completely unsatisfied. Wouldnt recommend this place at all!*Update*Ok so after this whole debacle, I ended up speaking to my brother about what happened. Since he has spent many years working in the hospitality industry, he was extremely bothered by what happened. Being the awesome older brother that he is, he took it upon himself to talk to management without our knowledge and arrange for them to make me a new cake free of charge. On the day it was ready a few weeks later, he called us to tell us what he did and told my wife to go pick up the cake and that it wasnt going to cost us anything. My wife drove there and when she got there the person at the register told her she would have to pay for half of the cake. Again she left in frustration and just told them to keep the cake. She came home and told me what happened and when my brother called to make sure it had gone as planned we told him. So once again he called and talked to the owner and finally what ended up happening was that the owner drove the cake to my house himself and gave it to me free of charge! That was really cool of him to do and I thanked him and went inside and opened my cake. It was the right image and everything. Then I cut into the cake and realized it was not an Irish cream cake like it was supposed to be. They gave us carrot cake! Lol I just gave up after that and ate the cake. So yes the issue was resolved but the order was still wrong after all that trouble! Cant make this stuff up all you can do is laugh. I dont know whos fault this is but it is due to someones incompetence there so I hope things are being done to improve on that so no one had to go through something like this again.

I had ordered a cake for my daughters birthday party from here. It was terrible! This place has gone down hill and Ill never go back. The kids didnt even like it and my son whos huge on sweets, didnt even want it. I was completely disappointed! I called and complained and I basically got the run around. It tasted stale, it crumbled and it was dry. Dont even get me started on the frosting. The way they handled it, you can tell its all about the money to them and not making their customers happy.

Super disappointing. Ive been ordering & buying cakes from these folks for years, but have noticed the quality has really declined over the past few orders--cakes are somewhat dry & flavorless. This time, I ordered a baptism cake to be decorated all in white with a large cross on top. I come to pick it up & the name & date are in blue, very small, not straight. The cross is small & oriented the wrong way on the cake. The base frosting is not even, very splotchy. The worst part is I got a call the night before the even shortly before they closed from a panicked employee that they needed an email with a picture of the decorations immediately because the decorators were leaving. I quickly sent something similar with specifications in the email for all white frosting, cross orientation, etc & got a call after sending the email & 5 minutes after the first that the cake might not be ready on time because the staff was leaving & the result at pick up looks like a total rush job. I dont know why I wasnt contacted earlier in the week when my original email wasnt received. Worst thing is the original was a picture of a cake made by 3BB! I could have done better. Ive had higher quality work from HEB & Randalls. Also, while waiting to pick up, a ton of people were waiting, no employees in sight, & I watched an entire family with children walk out because theyd been waiting so long (& again, no employees in sight). This is really so disappointing, have come to expect better from a Houston institution.

Houston tradition. The cookies, pies, cakes and pastries are superb as are the cupcakes. In fact, I have never found anything I didnt like here! Especially love the fudge pecan pie and the Mexican Wedding cookie. All locations deserve our full support. They were hit hard by Harvey but have vowed to persevere... truly Houston Strong and Houston yummy!

Thanks to the staff for going the extra mile to make me smile! They were all sold out of key lime, so I asked for a slice of cherry cheese cake. Nothing left but a whole pie. They offered to slice it up so I could enjoy a slice now. So awesome and enjoyed every delicious bite!

Absolutely loved the cake we ordered form this bakery. It was a sheet cake with our company logo for our grand opening to one of our new facilities. I was very nervous about the logo since i requested in fondant. I must say i was very impressed it looked exactly the same as the picture i sent them. The cake was also very moist we did half vanilla and half chocolate. Overall they nailed it!

Their cakes look beautiful AND taste great! That to me is a rare find. The different sizes work well and accommodate any size party you have. I have ordered big cakes as well as cupcakes. All of them were consistently yummy!

I ordered a cake for my kids birthday. Emailed all information and pictures. Got an email confirmation that they were able to do exactly what I asked. I ordered a week in advance. Pick up Day was morning of the birthday. Drove 40 minutes to get to the bakery. When the cashier opened the box even she was shocked at how awful the cake looked. I could have gotten a better cake for 20$ at Walmart. They said they found out they couldnt meet my request but did not email me to tell me. My childrens birthday is ruined.

Wonderful family owned bakery with friendly staff and delicious baked goods. The challah is great and so are the breakfast pastries. The cupcakes have been mixed, theyre always moist, but could use a bump in flavor. They make their own syrups for drinks in house, so the coffee drinks are especially good.

Ordered half sheet king cake with cream cheese filling for $50. Needless to say when I arrived at home the cake had zero filling even though the box was labeled cheese and the cake was tough to cut through. I called the store, emailed pictures and returned the cake the next day (Mardi Gras). The manager Madison provided a refund and offered one of the prepackaged cakes. I asked for that cake to be opened in various spots ro verify there was indeed a filling. When Madison took the old cake behind the counter, another employee asked what happened and apparently Madison told her there was no filling. Then I heard the employee say did she take it out? HOW RUDE! I AM WITHIN EARSHOT OF YOU AND YOU MAKE A RUDE COMMENT SUCH AS THIS. Once my refund is processed I am completely done with Three Brothers Bakery and would not recommend them to anyone, ever. I am from Lousiana and would drive back to Louisiana or pay Ambrosia or Gambino bakery the extra fee to overnight a king cake before I spend another cent with Three Brothers.

I dont understand why a company that messes up on your order not once, but twice, thinks the best resolution they can come up with is a store credit for you to come back and do more bad business with them... Why would I want that?! I must say Im extremely disappointed in my experience with this bakery. This is my first time ordering a cake from them and I will not do it again. I ordered a cake that was supposed to be ready at 9 a.m. and I received a call that morning saying that the cake would not be ready until 9:45 am. I then receive another call at 9:30 a.m. telling me that the cake had been made wrong! I had to get the cake remade and it wouldnt be ready until 1pm, completely ruining all the plans that had been made for the use of the cake. When I ask to speak to a manager and explained to them what happened...why they didnt know what had happened already Im not sure...the only thing they offered me was a $15 store credit. I will not be back to Three Brothers Bakery

Its been a tradition to get gingerbread men from a 3 Brothers every Christmas. Line of who was ordering next wasnt really defined because people were meshing in and out looking at the pastries. It was a new location for us, but organization was a bit shot. Never been disappointed with their pastries though.

Just as good as the original. The selection is a little different but its also still good. The breakfast rings are great poppy seed or fruit cant go wrong. Ginger bread cookies are the best. I have been eating at three brothers my whole life and still love it. they even did my wedding cake. Oh yeah during mardi gras they make an amazing king cake as well

I give this place two thumbs up. Service is typically above par. It has a good feel to it.

Dont waste your time or money on the king cake. Tastes like they are pre-made then frozen. Paid $30 for a strawberry cheese filled king cake, and there was hardly any filling. Very disappointed.

Absolutely the best bakery in Houston! Wonderful selection of breads and pastries. Always fantastic customer service! Highly recommend!
