A shout out to Bob owner of HPE. We carried our truck in for for a new engine. Thru Bob we bought the engine from South Houston Engine due to time restraints. The engine used a quart of oil for every 800 to 1000 miles. South Houston Engines said this was normal and would not merit a warranty. Bob and I decided that it was NOT normal. South Houston Engines uses a process of drilling out valve guides and putting brass inserts in. The process allows oil to bypass valve guides which makes for a bad design. South Houston Engines would not take care of the issue but Bob from Houston Performance Engines rebuilt the heads and installed it at no charge to me. These guys truly take care of their customers! I will gladly take my vehicles to Houston Performance Engines. Quality service and superb business ethics! Thanks HPE!Tony Graves

If you want your truck fixed this is the wrong place listen i got a bad experience with them i spoke with with a guy and I explained what was the problems the just fixed part of it but the charge me the entire price Im still having problems with the truck 💯% not recommend

If I could give the shop 6 stars, I would. I took my truck in with an idea of what my issue was. It turns out that my issue was considerably worse than I had expected. Bob told me the issue and never tried to push or steer me to a decision. He was very upfront and transparent about the problems with the truck and but didn’t try to up-sale me. He stayed in communication while he had my truck, sending me pics and videos so I knew the repairs were actually being made. He had the truck done on time and he stayed within the agreed upon budget. If I ever have issues again with my truck, or if I have friends or family in need of a diesel shop, I will send them to Bob at Houston Performance Diesel without hesitation.

Bob Fuller obviously has been lying and cheating his customers for so long that he knows no other way to run his business. Its sad that he sabotaged my coach by disconnecting my computer so it wouldnt start so he could sell me a $1500.00 computer!! He did this in front of me, knowing I caught him!! Hes a cheating con man and if hes speaking he is lying!!! If you are considering taking your truck or RV here, please beware of this guy, as he is a crook!! In response to the answer Bob posted to my review he had only one tech, who he said was new, changing my oil and filter. Bob said he drained my fuel tank, another lie; it was full. Bob said he did a scan on my computer but when I asked him where the port was, he couldnt tell me. He stated that after the supposed computer scan he did, the computer would not communicate with my injectors and wouldnt start. Bob, knowing this was a lie when I asked him to try and start engine while I was there, climbed under my coach and disconnected my computer. I went under and reconnected it, and coach started up on first try!!! Bob said he couldnt believe it started when he knew he disconnected my computer!!! I quickly told him I wanted my coach backed out of the shop right then, and saw they had disconnected my generator, as well, another sabotage done to steal from me!! I paid him and I did shake hands as, I feared he would try something else. I drove to my hotel were I reconnected my generator and it started right up as well. Trust me, as I am in the automotive buisness for over 30 years!! This guy is straight off one of those 60 minutes specials on automotive crooks!!! Beware!!! He is unbelievable!!! When he speaks, he lies!!!

Bob, thank you for helping me out. Bob fixed someone elses dirty work and gave me a good price for work that was already paid for before somewhere else. He called me back after i told him my problems, got me in and out cause this is my work truck, reasonable person. Thank you!! i will definitely trust him again, why? because work was double checked even when finished, i have NOT had one problem with it in 2 months.

So far so good. Bob was great on the phone and quoted a fair price for a coolant flush. Dustin, the shop foreman, was great and performed the flush himself in no time at all. Amber behind the counter was great as well. I appreciate the willingness to get a rather small money job done for a new customer. The next time I have issues with my 2010 6.4L PSD Ill take it to Houston Performance Diesel.

This company is top notch, on task, and gets the job done! Clearly outstanding, honest, and reliable in work and service--AND a reasonable price! The estimate bid was on the money exactly. This certainly beats buying a new diesel truck. We are very satisfied customers and highly recommend HOUSTON PERFORMANCE DIESEL.

I called Bob with the thought of my turbo going out. He was open and honest. His shop was slapped full. He had me out in 36hrs. It was a clogged Emission system. Not only does my truck run cooler, I have doubled my mpg. Will tell everyone I know to go... Thanks BOB!

Houston Performance Diesel took great care of us, making an emergency repair during our cross country trip. I limped my truck into Houston while pulling a trailer and he had it diagnosed and repaired in one day (a failed clamp at the intercooler that wasn’t allowing my turbo to function correctly). Despite me telling him that I was willing to upgrade or replace parts to get back on the road, he gave a completely honest diagnosis and made no attempt to recommend any unnecessary parts or work. I’m completely satisfied and would recommend this shop to a friend. Thanks for the help, guys! We greatly appreciate it.

My motor home broke down and Bob kept the shop open for the tow truck to arrive. He went out of his way to work me in and to get me back on the road asap. Job took two weeks to repair. Very fair on pricing and even billed me less than the estimate. I would recommend them to everyone. Very good staff in shop also.

I took my 6.4 F250 to Bob and his boys and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. After taking it to a different shop and being charged for absolutely no work being done (yes I was totally ripped off), I had a few reservations about having someone else touch my truck. Bob not only got it running better than ever, he re-instilled my faith in humanity. He kept me in the loop as to what was going on and kept me at ease after going through an absolute trainwreck with the previous shop. Do yourself a favor and look no further, Bob and his team are top notch.

I have a 2013 F250 that had a few issues. Bob was extremely helpful in listening to the issues and sharing his approach to resolving my problems. My truck was in the shop and resolved in a timeframe that my dealer couldn’t begin to touch. HPD was an amazing experience and I will make this my go-to shop in the future.

Bob has repaired my truck, my last motor home and will be working on my current coach next week. Dont hesitate to use him.

The company that I work for and I have used performance diesel for years, if youre looking for mechanics to work on your diesel truck this is the place to take it to and talk to Bob. Honest - reasonable - quality work- knowledgeable

We had a very tricky repair on a 3/4 ton Dodge. This shop want the first shop that tried to make the repair. Bob was dedicated to following a process to avoid making unnecessary repairs. The problem was tricky, but eventually they figured it out. Bob was determined to find the problem and correct it for us no matter what it took. I appreciate how he took personal ownership in our vehicle and was unwilling to accept defeat. I know they spent more time on the truck than he charged us for. If youre looking for a shop that is intentional about making repairs, refuses to throw parts at a problem at your expense, and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure youre satisfied, this is the shop for you!

Bob and crew did a great job replacing my leaking Duramax injectors on a short chop chop time line. They had me back out and on the road to make a 5000 mile trip out to the west coast and back towing a travel trailer without issue. I doubt many other shops couldve worked me in and got me back out as HPD did. Thanks Bob.

Had them repair a turbo leak on my 7.3 idi diesel. Did an excellent job and Id definitely have them work on my truck again.

First I read the reviews & thought twice about going but thank god I actually went out to there shop for a true experience. I talked to Bob over the phone before taking my truck over there explaining my situation. I needed my truck diagnose, everyone was charging atleast $100 to take a look. Out of the kindness of his heart he came out to my truck took a look went over what all is needed ect. Bob was more than helpful explaining, went out of his way for a unknown customer to help, even if I was not fixing my truck there. Dont let these 2 bad google reviews steer you away it bs, they are professional. Have a huge shop and turn out good work from what I was seeing. Thank you Bob for your help once again, was a pleasure meeting you. Hopefully after I get my engine fixed I can come by for some goodies!

After waiting 3 weeks for a truck to get repaired, the truck was never fixed and the owner Bob would not talk to us. That is until we put in a dispute, he suddenly began to take our phone calls.Dont trust!!
