I had my first appointment at Hudson Optical yesterday. Love the team! I popped in prior to my appointment to look at glasses and had a great conversation. Everyone was friendly and communication leading up to my appointment was thorough. My exam also was more in depth than Im used to and Dr. Calvin was most personable. Ive already set up an appointment for a family member. I highly recommend this office.

I have been a customer of Hudson Optical for years. Mark and his team are great. Give them an opportunity to serve you. I am sure you will not regret it. Local business, not a big box store.

Would not recommend to anyone. During the appointment the doctor made me feel a little uncomfortable with jokes about quitting my job and other comments. Before the appointment I was told that the appointment would be covered by insurance and when I asked if we could double check, the staff told me it would take too much time to call the insurance company and that I did not need to worry about it. I ended being charged for the appointment and had no help from the staff on resolving the issue, customer service was awful. The given prescription by Hudson Optical has not matched my needs, overall a bad experience.

Dr. Calvin took a lot of time to do a thorough exam for myself and my daughter, and to explain his findings. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Overall I am extremely pleased with the experience.

Great experience all around folks. I truly needed a new prescription and almost the same day they were willing to fit me in and take the time to listen to what was actually going on with reading difficulties. End result is amazing. The office staff was incredible! They were super experienced, and very welcoming. I really needed help in picking out the correct frames for my face and color, and they knew exactly what to look for. I quickly had a great frame plus my first pair of prescription sunglasses picked out in no time. I would highly recommend Hudson Optical.

Had my first visit to Hudson Optical and I have to say the service and care I recieved from beginning to end went well beyond my expectations. The professionalism started from the moment I was greeted and continued through my exam and selection of my eyewear. Staff are attentive and professional. Identified vision issue and referred me to appropriate specialists. Will continue to go here for glasses when needed and local vision exams.

Fair prices and Friendly staff!

Not much into writing reviews however more on the lines of comparison contrast. I had a horrible experience at America’s Best in Woodbury! Unprofessional chaotic nightmare over crowded no manger privacy with paper work....i also tried Pearl Vision not a very updated selection of glasses. I immediately made an appointment with Hudson Optical. Absolutely the best experience! Incredible Doctor professional patient knowledge staff amazing selection of eyewear best in the business look no further! If I could give them 10 stars I would thank you so much Doctor Calvin

It was very quick and easy to get my eyes checked. Friendly people had great conversation. Got my prescription and new glasses love them, and work great! No weird dizziness (which I usually get with new glasses “my eyes adjusting”) I would highly recommend them.

My Insurance dictated where I could go for eye exam and new glasses. Came in and from the first step to picking our my frames I was very impressed! I really liked the staff and they were very helpful for my whole appointment! I Would recommend this place to anyone!

Optometrist did great job, prescription perfect, can finally read the small print on the vitamin bottle, always get Titanium, keep abusing the frames and the staff keeps bending and straightening back to New, had good selection of frames, staff easily found pair that looks good on this senior and in style.

The staff is super friendly. However, I had to take my contacts out for the initial assessment and then I had to put them back in for the exam and then I had to take them out again for the rest of the exam and then I had to put them in again in order to be able to drive home. It would have been nice to just take them out and put them back in once or be told to come to the appointment without my contacts in.

The Staff at Hudson Optical are top notch! My Family has been going here for several years. Mark was able to train all 3 of my children to wear contacts, even my son, who Has been wearing contacts since age 10! Bobby is the best optometrist we’ve seen, she and her staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We’ve received the best care at Hudson Optical for my families’ vision needs. My family loves coming here, I have recommended them to my friends, family and co-workers.

Fast, thorough and friendly service.

I needed a pair of contacts last minute for vacation - Hudson optical called my normal optometrist and got my prescription, set me up for an appointment because my prescription was expired, and gave me a trial pair so I didn’t have to wear my glasses on vacation!! This happened all within an hour! Excellent service, looking forward to using them as my eye care provider from now on.

From walking in the door everyone working was very polite and courteous. The eye doctor was very informative and told me everything he was doing and asked me if I had any questions after each test. Picking out glasses was a breeze with the lady who helped me! can’t wait for my frames to come in so I can finally see better!!

Great place for an eye appt. The optometrist and I were struggling to communicate at first with which is better point in the exam. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Poor selection of glasses, and very expensive in comparison to other optometrists. Would not go back, due to cost, but would encourage other locals to try their services.

I find that the atmosphere at Hudson Optical is always bright and cheerful and the staff is very courteous and really listen to my needs and concerns. Mark helped me the last time I was there and he was very patient in helping me with my needs. Dr. Bobbie is helpful and offers good suggestions to address my vision issues. A great bunch of people to work with. The doctor took time to explain everything he was doing, the staff went through all my coupons and cards to find me the best price on frames, etc. Very pleased.

My overall experience at Hudson Optical is one that stuck with me even after I left their store. The doctors (Dr. Bobbi (sp?)) and staff are extremely friendly and can assist you with just about anything you ask them. They truly care about the way you look and feel in your new frames. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

The staff here treats us like family and exceeds our needs. My husband has a very complicated perscription and this is the only place wholl work with him so he can see well. They also never judge or rush us whenever we need to choose new frames.

Worst optometrist experience ever. Misinformation throughout the entire time dealing with thus office. Picked this office because of ratings and to support local business. By the end of my experience, felt they just wanted to get paid the most possible.

1st time visit turned out to be above our expectations. My wife had an eye exam and ordered new glasses, Super easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be having all of our eye care needs in the future with Hudson Optical .
