Have been waiting over 6 months for parts to come in to fix a font loading commercial Maytag. Two different service technicians have come out twice. One to diagnose then leaves stating he will order parts and the other 3 months later it’s parts that wouldn’t even fix the issue. They stated they would be back out but haven’t seen nor have I heard from them since. I have lost all confidence in getting it fixed. I do like supporting and buying local but you get what you get. Seems to me if Maytag is so hard to work with, why would you feel confident to sell their appliances. Next step will be with Maytag and then follow up with BBB if this is not resolved. Oh and I did buy the extended warranty, which I am sure will be no use at all.
SHOUT OUT to Cooper at Bob Wallace Appliance for outstanding customer service! I called this morning with my model # and serial # for my dishwasher to ask if they had a replacement piece that I thought was broken. I also asked him if it would be easy for me to replace myself. After talking me through and asking a few simple questions, the part (rotating upper arm) wasn’t broken at all. Cooper told me what to look for and even told me how to reattach it. Took less than 5 minutes. He sacrificed a sale, but saved me roughly $35, along with a trip there and back. In return, he gained my trust and a forever customer! Way to go Cooper and Bob Wallace Appliance! If you know Cooper, tell him he is doing great work! #ilovegreatcustomerservice
Salesman was knowledgeable about the products in the store. The washing machine I wanted was in stock. No problem getting it delivered and the old machine taken away.
It’s ridiculous you call this company to give them business and the sales department never picks up the phone nor do they call you back and if the do it would be two days later. Funny because when you go to the store in person they are talking to each with no clients which leaves you to think really you guys aren’t busy so pick up the phone.
So far, so good. Wide range of quality products and prices. Attentive staff.
The warranty is an absolute joke. We had a 5 year warranty on a single appliance that I set up after building a new house. 2 years later when we have a problem, they say they have no record of me having a warranty. Shocking. Their warranties also turned out to be through some company called Epic, which I had never heard of throughout the whole process. Also, they charge a $120 trip charge and a $95 labor fee on top of that for a 15 minute job.Do yourself a favor and just buy your appliance at BestBuy.
I would normally give them 5 stars for service but they NEVER answer the phone. Always have to leave messages; then it takes them a long time to get back to you. I hate that. Customer Service needs to be improved.
I purchased a washer from them and there was some issues with it. The service manager,Steve, and my sales guy, Brannon, both worked hard to make everything right. Ryan, the service guy that came out the last time, was very nice and knowledgeable. I was so pleased that I purchased a dishwasher a week later. I am confident that I will have another pleasant experience with them. I highly recommend them.
Bought a Speed Queen washer there, and brought it home myself and set it up. It was faulty from the jump. The board would turn off and on by itself, then wouldn’t respond to touch command. Got it to work once but it would not automatically dump the water. It just shut down. Called that afternoon and the touchie sales guy wanted to refer me to the Speed Queen tech help number. LOL. Right. Long story short, I waited the weekend and one of their goto older guys called me and made me feel good about waiting 5 days for them to bring a new one out. I spent a couple grand there back in 2016 outfitting my house remodel. You’re welcome.
My wife and I have had constant problems with the Maytag washing machine since we bought it last year. The first one we bought had a bent drum. Bob Wallace Appliance was reluctant to replace it but eventually they did. The second one tells me a low flow message every other wash. We had some one to come to my house two months ago, but he wasn’t sure he fixed it. Today I am receiving a low flow message. I called and I had to leave a message (during business hours), as usual. I was warned not to deal with this company. Live and learn!
I have only ever really dealt with the parts department, but it has always been a good interaction. Catina is very knowledgeable and friendly, and has helped me get my appliances back up and running.I appreciate that I am able to get my parts locally for around what it would cost online, especially if it’s already in stock. Keep up the good work guys. I don’t like when my stuff breaks, but it’s good to know we have a good local resource with actual people.
Great quality appliances, excellent service of what they sell, and knowledgeable sales staff. Highly recommended for first quality appliances.
Nice appliance store but not what it was previously
Very nice shopping experience with friendly, knowledgeable sales associate.
I bought 2 washing machines from their store. Its funny they dont confide when its in error. never gave me a repair appointment even though I was in person. You will easily be fooled by these sweet purchases. But if youre spoiled, theyll throw you in the trash right away.
Super helpful and very friendly.
No loading dock, dock they do have the truck blocks the street. They unloaded me in the center lane via a pickup truck.
Brannon is GREAT!Helpful, knowledgeable and fun to work with. AND he have us a quote b4 we left!
2nd time purchasing an appliance suite and great service & prices again. Brannon was great to work with & most helpful. Buy local...!
Very friendly and had everything we needed in stock.
We have been very pleased with Bob Wallace. Josh and Chris Long were excellent in handling all of our purchases. We purchased all of our appliances for our new build here, and then went back to purchase a washer and dryer. The service we received here was above expectations. We ran into multiple dryer issues, but they were determined to correct the problem, and they found that it was an electrical issue and not the dryer itself. The service guys are all great also! We will continue to use Bob Wallace in the future. Thank you Bob Wallace for being a part of our new home build.
Dishwasher hasn’t worked right since we moved in. Blew off my request for service. Pushed me off on the manufacturer who can’t come out for two weeks.
The lady running the parts department was very kind and knowledgeable. I was so thankful for her, whereas a lot of appliance stores did not open up the day after Christmas. Thank you again for great service!
Long time retail appliances and parts. Very good service.
Very professional staff, from sales to installation Josh was especially helpful in locating a unit for us and the installer Mark was excellent. I could tell they all took pride in their work and wanted to provide the best possible service for the customer. I will be back
Ordered a Whirlpool Washer in April,I have not recieved it yet.
I have been extremely disappointed with Bob Wallace Appliance. I purchased a washing machine from them a year ago with a 5 year warranty. The electronics on the machine caused it to be inoperable. We called to get service. They came out and tried to tell me I didn’t know how to operate my machine. I had been using my machine for a year with no problem so I think I know how. They came back a week later to repair, but it was not fixed. Called back and was told it would be two weeks before they could come back. Then they called back and said it would be a month before they could come back. We called the manufacturer directly and got numbers of other repair companies. We found an awesome repairman who called the manufacturer and arranged to get our machine repaired quickly. If I may offer a piece of advice, find somewhere else to buy your appliances because Bob Wallace does NOT service what they sell!
Incredible service. Ordered from the Cullman location by mistake, they shipped it to Huntsville, no charge and gave a courtesy call to inform me it was available for pickup!
They just want to sell the product. If you have any problems they will never help you as they say
Great products and great service.
Awesome store and very friendly service from the staff
They didnt have the part I needed in stock but they checked all other stores in the area, but none were found. They ordered it for me and had it in my hand in two days. Great service.
I bought a Speed Queen washer and dryer from Bob Wallace Appliance in May 2018. Its still under warranty (now July 2020) and they sent out a technician to fix it at no charge. The technician, Jeremy Cowan, was very courteous and extremely neat while doing an excellent repair job. He replaced the heater coil and thermostats, and cleaned out the lint that had accumulated. My dryer is back to perfect working condition. Thanks Bob Wallace and technician, Jeremy Cowan!
Wonderful experience from our first call to Bob Wallace Appliance to the delivery of our new freezer. We called to get delivery estimates. At the store Josh assisted us picking & ordering a freezer. The delivery team was also excellent. They arrived when expected, & worked efficiently to remove the old freezer and install the new one. I will definitely buy from Bob Wallace Appliance again in the future.
I purchased a new washer and dryer and Ive had a few issues that required several minor repairs. I want to commend the service department and in particular the service technician that was sent to my home, Frank E. Franks knowledge and professionalism has gone beyond anything Ive ever experienced in the past with other companies. He was proactive and discovered two issues with my appliances that I didnt realize existed. I highly recommend the service department at Bob Wallace Appliances.
I bought a replacement diverter motor for a dishwasher but ended up not installing it and just bought a new dishwasher instead of trying to fix the old one. Bob Wallace Appliance would not take the new part because they do not allow returns on electrical parts. Sad thing is that sold me the wrong part and likely a used part. The box was open when I got it. In the pictures below you can see that the part number on the box doesnt match part number on the part. The box says made in US but part says made in china. Finally, the box has somebodys name on it. Shame on you Bob Wallace Appliance!
Unmotivated sales staff/small selection barely helped - wont go back again.
Awesome place super friendly and no hassle either told them what I wanted and they had it I will be back again
Theres a wide selection of appliances with staff that will help you out. We ended up purchasing our item from Lowes because we couldnt find a more specialty item there (double-door oven) but all the staff members helped us with looking at models, or checking out parts that might work to fix our old model. Overall it was a good experience.
Didnt have what I needed couldnt even help me get it. Im still sitting here without a stove to cook on.
Would give 0 stars if possible, STAY AWAY. I am now on my 3rd attempt to have a simple problem fixed on an appliance. The repair technicians are good at temporary fixes but not open to take suggestions as to what the problem might actually be. Also can’t get a repair tech to come out in less than a week, either they do temporary fixes on every customer so they are always busy or they get no business because they are horrible at their jobs and they can only afford to pay 1 or 2 technicians. Either way...find some place else to do business with.
Staff is knowledgeable and very nice, beautiful show room. Loved the copper and mixed metal fixtures
We went into the store today to purchase a washer and dryer. The sales person, can’t remember his name, approached us and asked if any of his people were helping us so he is possibly a manager. We told him what we were looking for and he asked us about our old set. We told him the problem and he proceeded to tell us that we are wrong, that the really problem is something different. He was very arrogant and condescending like he had to prove that he was smarter then we were. Little did he know that there is a class action suit against the manufacturer of our old unit and we know EXACTLY what is wrong with it. We immediately turned around and left. Had he actually taken the time to actually listen to his customers he would have had a definite sale. We WILL NOT be going back! And do not recommend this store to anyone.
Excellent sales service from Josh to help us find the best oven/microwave for the dollar with no pressure to buy. Also excellent scheduling as well. The installation team led by Mark was incredible—they arrived on time as promised and their attention to details were superb. We have used Bob Wallace for all our appliances—and they have always been top notch.
Sales person was very nice. He knew the product. Now I have a new stove. It is on order will receive March 4th. Very happy so far.
They have the best selection and the people there are the BEST!!
I have bought an oven and a clothes washer here. The sales people are great and the prices are competitive with the big box stores. I highly recommend coming here first.
We decided to give them a try when shopping for appliances. I would say they are indifferent about selling anything. I guess we were perceived as not having any money or they had their mind on 4th of July weekend. Prices were so-so.
Great selection of if you can afford the higher end appliances.
Catina in the parts department was a huge help in finding the right part for my daughters dryer. Wish all service departments were this helpful. Great place for service.
No issues with sales department... BUT After spending $6,000 on appliances in May of 2019. In June, my microwave goes out. Over 5 weeks later, still no fix or solutions other than i should hear from the manufacturer soon. The Service manager, Grant, hung up on me when i asked him why i still do not have a microwave in my brand new house with all new stuff and was told by Grant, I am not dealing with this then abruptly hung up on.The service department at this store is not even worth 1 star. Do not bothering talking to the manager, Grant, or you will just get hung up on!HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANYWHERE ELSE!
Knowledgeable, honest sales staff. Not a big box store (a plus). Competitive prices, great brands.
Just had refrigerator installed, by Justin and Chris. They did a great job, explaining what they were doing while working. I like that. They knew what they were doing and the installation went smoothly. They took great care to insure they didnt hit doorways and countertops. Great team.
Great service, no pressure sales team and theyve always matched any price that Ive brought them.
Met with Chris Story. Went above and beyond to research products. Appreciate this type of service
We purchased our appliances at Bob Wallace almost three years ago. They were very helpful and accommodating our needs. Today we had our refrigerator repaired for a known service bulletin defect. Lee arrived on time, was polite and friendly, and gout the repair and software update done quickly. We are very pleased with the service provided.
Very nice and usually have what you need. If not can get very quickly. Parts lady is very knowledgeable and nice!
Very good customer service in parts department. Very helpful
Great service
Fantastic experience. Found the dishwasher I wanted at a better price than BigBox stores, and the installers were truly exceptional. Highly recommended.
Terrible customer no-service. Weve been dealing with them for 3 years. Sales staff is friendly, but its over after the sale. I have to believe that many of the positive reviews here are cooked up somewhere. There are other places & Amazon to go to. Hate to say it. Prefer to buy local.
Very helpful, outstanding customer service!
Great personnel in the parts department.
They were helpful in the repair and parts of me fixing my sons washer.
Lots to choose from. They service what they sell. They provide parts for those who want to fix their own. They have a convenient location, regular hours, and price match.
Our homehbuilder used them. They did not install to manufacturer recommendation (and put a screw straight into drywall...no anchor or anything...) and damaged cabinets during install.Definitely would not recommend.
This company has been a nightmare to deal with! Our 2-year old new home came with all kitchen aid appliances, sold by Bob Wallace. We purchased an extended 5-year warranty and have been working with Bob Wallace to get things fixed sine the first year! every time we put in a new work order, we dont hear from them for two months, UNTIL WE HAVE TO CALL THEM to find out why they havent been back out, only to find that orders for the new parts werent processed right, or the company they use for their warranty wouldnt warranty the parts. There was absolutely no follow-up when orders got dropped. Simply NOTHING! I am trying to figure out if we can get our money back and take our service to Sears Home Warranty. I am currently waiting on the last service call made to deliver and replace the repair parts, which was almost 3 MONTHS AGO! I have already asked for a full refund of our warranty money from a Manager and never got a response. Here goes request #2 for the same thing. This is one decision I really regret making,
They have what you need or will order it for you
Friendly Fun Staff whom is happy to go out of their way to find parts. They spent a good amount of time looking for this one part.
Needed my dryer serviced and Bob Wallace was very accommodating in scheduling a technician to come in. Not only were they polite and helpful over the phone but the service technician - Jacob, was very knowledgeableand was able to correct the issue quickly. I commend Jacob. Will ask for him next time I need any of my appliances serviced. Thank you.
People very helpful and friendly
I recently purchased a Thermador appliance package for my brand new custom home from Bob Wallace. The dishwasher has never worked. I have had the builder and electrician look into this. I contacted Bob Wallace who told me they would have a service technician out to look at it. It has been a week and still I havent heard from Bob Wallace. I have called and emailed and get no response. I spent over $17k and cant even get a response! completely and utterly unsatisfactory customer service.
Went in for parts and the lady knew what I was looking for and was helpful with some questions I also had. This is about the only appliance store open after Noon on Saturday.
Terrible service, terrible installers, damaged appliances, over-priced and still missing appliances that have not been delivered.
The ladies that schedule are not the nicest, but the employees who come to repair stuff do a very good job. I would definitely recommend.
Josh Litrul, goes above and beyond. Hes great to work with and they have an amazing selection.
Good folks. The parts dept is great to deal with.
Knowledgeable staff. They stand behind the products sell. They are selective on what they sell. They only sell quality products.
Fast friendly service.
I dropped off our non functional dryer on Wed, 5/15. I paid $60 towards the repair and was told that they would probably look at it Friday. On Friday they called and said it was fixed. I picked it up and was charged another $110.06, for a total of $170.06. The diagnosis was a failed thermal fuse. The replacement fuse cost $16.89, while the labor cost was 91.65. This was in addition to the $60 diagnostic charge. I asked what that was for, i.e was it for an hour of labor or what and was told that it was a standard charge. I later searched for thermal fuse replacement Whirlpool and found a 3:13 video in which the thermal fuse was replaced in real time. Removing and replacing the back panel was partially edited out of the video, but it did show removing 2 or 3 screws (of 9). This took a 5-10 seconds per screw, using a manual nut driver. It would have been less with an electric screw driver. My estimate is that it probably less than a minute to remove the back panel. While I dont know all of the diagnostic steps, my guess is that checking the thermal fuse is pretty early in the sequence and it can be checked with a simple ohmmeter. In the video the fuse was replaced in less than 50 seconds. Replacing the back panel would take another minute or so. The repair was probably tested which might take another minute or two. I think its fair to say that I paid $150 for roughly 0.1 hour of labor, which is $1500/hr. If it took as long as 10 minutes to fix, that works out to $900/hour.What would be fair? I think $60 + the parts would be fair and Bob Wallace would still make money on the transaction. $60 + parts cost + $35 for the repair labor would not have been too out of line. $170.06 for this repair was, in my opinion, unethical, and I will never do business with them again. I wish I had asked them to call me with an estimate when they diagnosed the problem.
Always a great place to shop very knowledgeable staff the keeps the customer first
Our refrigerator stopped working yesterday evening. Lowes, Home Depot, and all the big box retailers were out of stock or werent going to be able to deliver anything for close to a week. My wife called Bob Wallace Appliances and Tim was incredible. Not only did he have something in stock (we needed a fairly wide all white unit, which is harder to come by these days), their price was significantly cheaper, and Tim was incredibly knowledgeable on the topic. The experience couldnt have gone any better. Tim even let me borrow a strap because I forgot to bring one. This is exactly why I love to support local business and Bob Wallace Appliance just earned a life-long customer and advocate. Thanks guys!
Great personal service.
Wonderful Service and Wonderful People!!💯
Best prices in Huntsville on new appliances see my friend Josh.
From the purchase of my washer & dryer to the installers, I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Bob Wallace Appliance. I will definitely give you all a glowing recommendation.
Who has an answering machine in a parts dept.?? I understand you are possibly helping other customers, but return a phone call!!!! Called at 11:00 am. At 3:00 pm I called back only to get the answering machine again. I called again and the lady answering the phone, paged someone, and I was on hold......forever! Finally had to hang up. Im glad your business is doing so well that you dont need MY business or anyone elses I know. Definitely will NOT shop here and will tell everyone I know to do the same!!
Best value in Huntsville, by far. Their staff is great and they have an excellent selection.
Good service and very helpful
I looked online. Chris, the salesman, returned my call told me what he had in stock and it was what we were looking for. We went to the store. The product was just what he said it would be. We bought it and we were out of there within 30 minutes. it was a very good experience and I didnt have to spend the whole afternoon looking for a refrigerator.
Always a good price and excellent service.
Chris Story was great. Very informative.
The staff at BWA are amazing! They are knowledgeable and very personable!
Great prices and customer service.
Bob Wallace Appliance is the store to go for all your appliances needs. We have been in Huntsville ch or 35 years and have never shopped for appliances anywhere else. They service what they sell!
I remodeled my kitchen two years ago and chose Bob Wallace to supply my appliances. The refrigerator dumped water on my new hardwood floors. The microwave shorted out at 11 months. And then, the gas cooktop blew apart one Sunday morning. When I went to the store to discuss this latest problem, the service manager made it clear that he would do nothing to help me. I called Whirlpool directly and they were very apologetic and reimbursed me for the cooktop. When I went to another store to replace the cooktop, I learned that I had overpaid for the first one by a hundreds of dollars.
While the sales department at Bob Wallace is easy to work with and very accommodating, the service department is mediocre at best. We have a brand new, still under warranty, Kitchen Aid stainless steel refrigerator that has a known technical issue that causes the refrigerator to not maintain appropriate coolness leading to food spoiling. I think part of the underlying service department issue is that the appliance is under warranty and the business prefers to increase profitability by helping individuals from whom they will be collecting money rather than address issues for appliances still under warranty. We originally contacted Bob Wallace service on Monday, June 19th. The first appointment was then scheduled for Wednesday, June 21st. During this visit the technician contacted Kitchen Aid and was told that the refrigerator had a known issue causing the problem and that it was a 2 hour repair job. He then explained to me that, given the length of time needed, he would have to move on to his next appointment and schedule my repair for the next available appointment. This appointment turned out to be 7 business days later on 30 June between 8 and Noon. So, in preparation, and at the technicians request, we emptied the contents of our expensive metal box into plastic coolers filled with ice. As noon came and went, I called to check on my appointment. I was told that the technician was running behind and that it would be another 45 minutes. As 1 pm came and went - I called again. I was told to be patient as the technician had afternoon appointments he had to work in as well. Given that I wasnt given an afternoon appointment, this does not seem even remotely reasonable to me. I was told it would be yet another hour before he would be able to show up. So, feeling frustrated, and obviously skeptical of the departments ability to estimate time, and no longer able to wait for the technician I asked for the next, next available appointment. Now I am told it will be10 July before I can have my new, expensive refrigerator repaired for a KNOWN Kitchen Aid issue. Somehow they know that it will be another 10 days before they can show up but they still cannot tell me that they can schedule my appointment for the first appointment of the morning or any other level of specificity. Im not sure what the issue is that Bob Wallace Appliance is having with their service department but it is certainly something everyone who is thinking about purchasing from them should consider before doing so. Having a wonderful sales department without the service to support the items sold is of little value.
Dont trust them!!! These guys sold me a refurbished used washer that destroyed a whole load of clothes. They have been giving me the run-around all week on my warranty. I purchased a used washer thinking that I could trust them more than Craigs list. I now trust Craigslist more.
The staff was very welcoming and the selection was adequate for my needs.
