These people are incredible. The women in the front office were so helpful and accommodating. They always have the stone and mulch Im looking for and I genuinely enjoy talking to the staff. Very friendly.

Definitely did not order mulch and did not appreciate coming home today to one of your dump trucks parked blocking both a public alley and my driveway. And no, they did not move until several minutes after I honked. Hope none of my neighbors order from y’all again! This was at 1:30 near Grant and 16th so you can talk to whichever driver did it before he drives all your business away 🤷🏻‍♀️

Had mulch scheduled for delivery on a Friday, got home on Saturday afternoon to no mulch (laid a tarp out twice) and they’d just somehow missed seeing the paperwork to deliver it even though they said it had all been done correctly and was paid for. ($60 delivery charge for 5 miles but we know how handy delivery is.) It definitely threw a big wrench in our weekend mulching plans and now we’re back to square one on a Saturday evening. The halfhearted apology and offer to deliver first thing Monday without any effort to deliver right away or offering a discount for the inconvenience of losing the weekend fell way short. Always like to support but guess we should have read the reviews first.

People who are easily offended, or thin skinned probably wont like indiana mulch and stone, the employees are there to do a job, not make friends.I love this place.I go in, tell them what i need, and its done.I have never had a issue with rude service 🤷🏻‍♂️

They are a pleasure to do business with. One of those local businesses that make you feel happy to live in a nice community. I ordered bags of stone, top soil, potting soil and mushroom compost. The next morning I got a call to confirm my order. They delivered when expected and put it all right into my garage for me. Even helped me move two heavy pots that I was going to fill. The quality of the soil and compost is wonderful. The price with delivery was cheaper than what it would have cost at one of the big box stores. All around a great experience.

If I could give this company zero stars I would, I will never recommend this company to anyone or use them in the future, beware buyer, do not spend your money here

Friend used Marks mix two years ago and i was impressed! Purchased and had delivered 3 cu of Marks mix sight unseen. My mistake, thought it was garden ready as it was for my friend...it is not. Mostly large clots of black mud, some football size. Just check it out before purchase is my suggestion. Office help very friendly.

The selection of products (at least for a typical homeowner) is great. However, I have been to this specific location (South West Street in Indianpolis, IN) three times now. Twice to purchase items, and once to return a couple items.I am never greeted with a smile. I am never greeted, warmly. I am never met on the product floor by an employee. Every time I have come in, there is either one or two employees sitting at the checkout tables. Every time I come to do business at Indiana Mulch and Stone, I feel as if my presence is a burden on the staff. This is odd because I am never in the store longer than 5-10 minutes.As if the front office people werent bad enough, the warehouse loader is often in a terrible mood. I always get out of my car, pop the trunk, and make room so he can do his thing. A couple times Ive even helped him load MY car with goods I just purchased. He stills seems irritated.So much for southern hospitality. It does not exist at Indiana Mulch. Go to the North location instead (10300 Pendleton Pike, Indianapolis, IN 46236). They arent the most friendly either but there are better than the southern location.The only (I repeat, ONLY) reason I drive to the southern location is because the Northern location does not sell Vermiculite. I will have to find another store that sells bulk bags of coarse vermiculite because between the 30+ minute drive and the bad attitudes of the employees, it is a waste of my time and life.

Hope you have all day to sit around as they cannot tell you when they will deliver what you paid for. I will shop elsewhere from here on.

I bought 2 yards of mulch from the West Street location Sunday and need about another 2 yards but I will not be going back! The product is good but the customer service is awful. I get Sunday was rainy and no one wants to work on a Sunday but the lady in the office helping me was rude and short when I asked questions and acted like I was the biggest annoyance to her day. And I was only in there for less than 10 minutes.

Plenty of what you need for all stone and mulch applications. Lacking in knowledge and helpfulness from the office staff. They know the product, but arent willing to help explain it to you.

Drove in got exactly what we needed. Great assistants. Will be doing business with them from now on.
