My wifes an alumnus of the U of I, so she really had to go back there to empty out their racks of t-shirts, jackets, trinkets, and other things. I think we must have left behind at least $250! Then she went across the street and had her picture taken next to Herky.

A really nice university bookstore. Lots of Iowa stuff, great textbook selections (as there should be) tucked into a corner of Main St Iowa City and just up the street from the AirLiner Diner and around the corner from Joes. You could probably skip the bookstore and head right to either bar.

Lots of Iowa Hawkeye apparel and a large selection of books. The place buys used college books as well.

Overall great selection of University of Iowa merchandise. Prices are very high however and many of the apparel options dont have sizes past XL. Employees were nice but were on their phones the whole time we were in the store.

Locals call it Iowa Crook and Supply¹..... j/sYou may need the textbooks or the Mail/Package Handling² that they do, but literally everything else is much cheaper elsewhere. If you only have Ucred to spend then so be it, otherwise go to another store..¹Before they Incorporated into an LLC(another University Scam to bilk money from students), they were the Official U book store and used the business name Iowa Book and Supply.²the extra services are the reason for the 2 stars, theres nothing all that great about anything else, except the occasional decent employee.

They have a great selection of college books for all your classes at a reasonable price. As for clothing apparel, theyre prices are flat out rediculous. They have a nice selection but I wouldnt purchase a single piece of their taxed clothing.

Great place to grab last minute studying tools. Never have to wait in line long to check out. The location is adjacent to school, makes it an easy choice.

The hours of the Iowa Book store often dont match with a student has classes until the night and thus makes it difficult to obtain books. As well, even when youre available, books are often second-hand, overpriced, and at times, not in stock, leading to a conundrum of issues. Furthermore, books at Iowa Book LLC dont always have the latest edition required for classes, creating more problems. I would suggest looking at the hawk shop instead to support the University of Iowa or online to save money.

If youre a dumb ass Iowa Freshman I suppose this place is what youre left with as a captive market drone. Nothing good here except Iowa Hawkeye Sports apparel and text books. Incompetent staff, who when they cant figure out an issue and are asked to get a manager, will tell you The manager doesnt know how to do it either The only thing this place is good for is taking a dump in their barely adequate restroom facilities.

Great clothing but terrible employment, I was shopping inside before closing and at the exact time that they closed they made me leave. Any clothing place that respects their customers and has good employment should wait till the customer has found what they wanted and not rudely kick them out.

Go Hawkeyes! This store has textbooks, binders, office supplies, all things black and gold in cups, shorts, shoes, and fan gear. There are plenty of Iowa History books, fiction written by local authors and Iowa memorabilia.

We always stop here when visiting. The staff is very friendly and they have a great selection.

This place is everything that is wrong with current day bookstores. over priced books you can get for half the price anywhere else. unhelpful and rude staff who dont seem to care. mediocre and honestly dOlla store quality hawkeye merchandise that again you can buy for less online or at other stores. save yourself a headache and just skip this place

Usually has helpful staff. Books are always a scam but at least this place is efficient.

This place sucks and everything is overpriced and the employees are all unhelpful and rude. Also, they don’t allow you to use your hawk account to purchase anything. I’m not sure why they even named themselves “Iowa book” and carry everything for the university when they don’t allow you to charge your university account. Just purchase your books literally anywhere else unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars.
