Ive been coming here for more than a couple of years now. I bought the biriyani yesterday and noticed that it spoilt. I can for sure say that the biriyani wasnt fresh, by the taste. It must have been made the day before yesterday. Im utterly disgusted to realize how unethical theyre when it comes down to business. Im never walking in to this restaurant ever again. Shame on you guys!
Best snacks place in DFW. The experience of having live Pani puri station is unique and awesome. Must try the Irani Tea, just take a large- you wont regret it. Dosas are great, see if you can request a Tandoori Dosa next time you are there and if you are lucky!! Cant wait to try the Frankies. Try any of the snacks combo, you wont regret it.
An Indian grocery and meat store in Irving. They have a restaurant adjacent to the store. I love their Irani style tea which is best of the town. Bedsides you will get some tasty Indian snacks. They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. This place is lively at weekends. A great place for hangout and chitchat…
Hey there, this place is Lit. The food here is FRESH, AUTHENTIC, TASTY, AND FINGER LICKING GOOD you feel me. So, dont even have a thought to look for other place. ONE STOP DESTINATION.
Great place for casual hangout! Their tea is a must try! We drive almost every weekend just to have their tea.Their other items are very fresh and tasty. You can tell that they are not some old, leftover items heated up to pack for you.
I used to be a regular customer for Hello India for food and grocery. I visited their shop on Jan 27th, 2021 for tea and marble plum cake which was right on the top of the counter. I came back at home and I was about to open the box in kitchen and have the cake and to my surprise, the cake was full of mold and fungi. I was utterly disgusted. I was not expecting the food quality to be of such a rock bottom quality.Being so many Indian restaurants and grocery stores in Irving, customers choose Hello India to be the go to for quick bite and cup of tea and this is not something that customers should deserve. I would never recommend this to any family/friends or any sort of acquaintance. Absolutely horrible experience. There should be serious investigation on this matter.I was reading other one stars reviews and I just noticed that I am not the first one to receive expired quality food...
This place has been horrible in terms of timing and staff promptness etc. If you need food make sure you order 3 hours before because they only respond after 1.5 hour to tell you they dont have the item you ordered and replace with whatever is there on the shelf. Really pathetic experience now a days. I usually do not write reviews but here looks like management is not interested into improving. This is not the first time I had bad experience.
Ordered a Ras Malai Cake from here for a birthday party. It did not taste like Ras Malai at all. There were 4-5 “ras gulla” kind of pieces and after eating a slice of the cake, it tasted bitter at the end. I believe some ingredient they used in the cake was stale (Confirmed with other guests from the party). Ended up throwing the cake. Don’t recommend.
Best tea around in DFW, osmania biscuits or salt biscuits is the one to taste along with the tea, the chat is good too, over all very good.
One evening around 4 PM i went to get a Somosa and paid money.. They told 5 min .. After 12-15 min wait, i asked it is getting late and i need to go and asked them to cancel the order and refund it .. They told they cannot provide refund and somosa is in fryer. He told he will write it down on the bill and i can get somosa later days also. I did not feel like keep that bill safe and get it after N days . So i left without money and somosa.. It is not big money .. $1.5 . But no moral ethics on them. I felt it is not any custom order .. just regular somosa and if it takes 15 min they should have told me in advance instead of 5 min or atleast have courtesy to refund the money .
A good place for hangout. I love their tea.
Was a daily customer for 3 years. Decided to stop visiting this place. Food taste is worst now a days. Its either too spicy or too salty. It was our daily hang out place. They are serving expired food. Be sure to check the expiry date before you eat or drink. Sad to see the down fall of my favorite place.
It’s the best place to gather all Indian youth and best place to have a cup of tea here. It has good parking place and nice snacks to spend at least an hour. You can get all Indian groceries here but Don’t expect more than that
Got there at 940. Ordered a chicken app to go. It was very good.
Best place ever.Food is so good it feels like i can eat there everyday. You guys shouid definitly go to that place.
Worst experience and service. Booked online grocery item recently and went their to pick up the order, they said the curbside pick up service is no more available. I wish they would have mentioned on the website to not place an order online and have not sent an order confirmation, it would have saved my time. When I asked the person on the call why it is not mentioned on the website, he hanged up on me. Very arrogant people
Its nearby to where I live and very convenient. Its a great place that has a lot of the foods and spices and such that Indians use in their cooking. But the only negative thing is that they dont usually have some things in stock and I have experienced this more than 4 times (maybe its because its a small shop). But other than that highly recommend.
Wow, so many youngsters in the shop. Best tea one can get. Very good snacks. Need to visit more number if times to explore all the chat varieties.
Food is good, but the salesperson on the register were so arrogant. Worst customer experience. They don’t care about the customer. I asked for hot food which just brought from kitchen, but they were adamant about selling me the coolest which might be up for hours. Hope they serve customer what they need. At the end of the day, customer is paying.
This place started getting famous with Irani chai. Although it used to be improving with time, we see that its taste is worse during mid week. The reasons can be anything but, they are still supposed to maintain the quality every day despite the busy hours or non-busy hours. Rest all are fine with respect to food and other dining places. The management needs to consider it as its the same point of view for many.
Donot make the mistake of going there on the weekends, what a jaffa place. They donot answer the phone at all, you can hear the phone ringing at the counter, they donot bother to pick it up!!! Rude people at the counter. Avoid this place, they must be doing good business to not care about the customer service anymore.
Chai was good, Dosa was alright and Biryani was average. The cashier was rude and lacks customer service skills, the grocery store was not very well stocked and more than half of their menu items were not available.
Food : 10/5We had amazing irain chaai, delicious samosas & flavor full of kadai paneer. The rotis were soft too.Ambience: 3/5Out of the total crowd at the place, 95% of them are in for food & not groceries but the space division is not according to it.Did not like the ambience as its too crowded & uncleanService : 1/5Biggest turn off of the place. They dont pay attention to you, they clearly cannot handle crowd. My order was given wrongly at first. Basic courtesy of accepting the mistake.
Vijayawada boneless chicken biryani is good. The pulav is also good. good selection of snacks in the evening time. Chai is must try. Overall good experience
I had a bad experience at hello India the married lady who works at chai section is very disgusting no safety measurements and yells at the customer and they give chai in small cup when I asked larger cup they said they can’t give and I burnt my hand I had to ER and safety measurements are being held there. I’m going to complaint higher authority I do have proofs and all
A Good Store in the Heart of The City of Irving. Quality of Products & Delicious Tea.
Worst customer experience.. no response for online or telephone orders. Call will be in waiting and suddenly disconnects
Place is so dirty nowadays. Food quality is also down. The chat section is better
Nice variety but the line is too long. I like the sugar cane juice there.
You cant beat Mirchi bajji here in whole America. Malai chicken tikka also gets same compliments.
Great service! One of my favorite places to go. I had ordered some food from them and after reaching home I realized it was the wrong order, I called them and they immediately took care of it, And gave me some complementary dishes too. The food is delicious and the service is amazing! Special thanks to KARAN and his team who made it worth it.
Love the Irani chai, samosas and mirchi bhajjis from this place...Must go place for true chai lovers!
4 stars for food. 3 stars for service, 0 star for cutlery they use. One the cheapest quality of fork and paper napkins I have seen I my life. The amount of business they do they can easily can afford better cutlery. Hope the management read my review and improve on it.
Great place to hang out! Saw so many Indians hanging out together at one spot after a long time. Tea is too good. A proper place for drinking tea in America. Pan is good. Mirchi was too spicy even for Indian standards.Staff is good. Quick service. I went on a weekend, so I believe there was a queue. Also bought mangoes from here. Heard a lot about it.
If you intend to get food, takeout is best as the instore sitting is not great. Also, for food its better to order ahead and pickup rather than ordering and waiting. All kinds of indian groceries are available here
Mysore and mirchi bajji and of course irani chai!!!
I had tea and it really tasted good. Ambience needs to be improved and cleaned.
Wide variety of indian food availableHowever Indian curries have sambar recipe including tadka and curry patta🤞.Biryanis may be a choice to makePlease pass for non biryani ordrers.
Purchased Biryani from Hello India Irving Location as take out. When opened at home got very foul smell. Took the parcel to them and showed along with bill but they refused to accept and replace/refund. That guy at counter is very rude. I showed them bill but in vein. Atleast I expected some decency.
Depends on the day you go, you might end up with the best food or even the worst. But its a really good spot to hangout with friends. Wide variety of evening snacks. Have a party order their biryani tray, its the best value for you money.
I have fun coming here. I love making indian cuisines and one time was looking for Sri Lankan ingredients. I have no idea what to buy because Im Filipina, the customer service n customers are always so helpful to me. Definitely I stick out as a lost puppy here. They tend to laugh at me because I have that deer in headlights demeanor 😆. I tend to shy away from the 🔥 spicy food but certain dishes draw me in. By far this Indian market is always fun to shop at. Try coming in and buying some sweets too!
The food here is very good. I had Vijayawada boneless biryani and chicken kebabs. So yummyyy
Nice place good Service And Good food here main highlighting thing here is live chat and dosas .an the dosas man was nice friendly 😍
Irani chai and the snacks are on point every single time I have had them. You can judge their popularity by the amount of crowd gathered inside and outside on literally any given day, especially during evenings. Great hangout spot for back home feels.
Poorly maintained ...food was good. Groceries are available but not as big as some others
Worst customer service at its level. Hygiene issues rude behavior. Poor quality of food.Huge delays for take away.
They call it Iranian tea... Not sure why!!! But I definitely liked the tea and found the taste similar to what we get in southern part of India especially Karnataka, Bangalore!!! The small cup tea comes in $0.50 which is like how you get tea on the go in India!!
Best place to eat Indian snacks and especially Chai is like heaven here😍Chicken Sandwich is Tasty which is made by Kiran bro 😃
Discrimination against muslimsMy brother who had a beard forgot his mask and the guy said he doesn’t have any masks for him and asked him to leave, but subsequently another customer who shared his similar religious beliefs was given masks in front of me, when confronted he denied initially that he gave the mask, but later started giving flimsy excuses. If the situation repeats I will report this to authorities
Ordered birthday cake for my kid second birthday. It came up how we wanted to customize the cake. Loved it. Thank you Hello! India Irving for a wonderful cake.
I have been here a few times. Sometimes for lunch, once for breakfast, a couple of times for tea and snacks. The food has been good every time and service is also good.I loved their samosas . I think this will be my go to place for samosas now.
Too crowded and no one is worried about the civid safety rules. The shop should have atleast a specific number of people they serve. Even though all is open but precaution is better then cure. All were eating so obviously no masks were on their nose or mouth
We ordered food for a family get together. All the item were either too salty or spicy.Wasted pretty much all food worth over 250 dollars.Stay away from this place if you want good food .
Indian groceries, meat, restaurant. Good we get most of required items. But crowd management is not good during pandemic times. People stand in less than 6 feet distance even when it was recommended.
This store was opened recently but attracted decent crowd with variety of options including Irani chai and fresh meat. They have a good restaurant serving multiple Indian dishes but evening snacks are bringing more crowd to this place. Wait time will be minimum 10-15 mins after placing the order because of the long queue but its so nice to chat with friends with a tasty chai and chat items. Love and recommend this place for a quick bite and for lunch/dinner. You can purchase Indian spices, vegetables also in this place when you are waiting for your food order to be delivered.
I wish I could give zero stars for its customer service. I have been visiting Hello India every week for groceries for the last two years. Coming to the restaurant, the quality of food is really good so we decided to have brunch over the weekends. The service has always been pathetic, we have to order in one area and wait for 30-45 min to pick up the food. Today, we tried to order something and the lady taking our order was so rude and said she cant make anything for 30-45 min and she had such bad attitude towards a loyal customer. We just decided to walk away and went to another restaurant.During pandemic, when rest of the businesses were suffering we were happy for Hello India for how well it was doing and also adding new space for food. The matter of the fact is the staff taking order did not care. I am writing this review assuming at least the Owner cares. We decided to never get groceries or food from this place again.
Dosas are good, but the guy who’s in the kitchen offers great service and friendly conversation. If you want to smoke your @s* off, try mysore masala dosa with extra spicy. Irani chai and punugulu are remarkable combination AFAIK.
Great as always. One of the best places in Dallas to get irani chai, chat like paani puri, masala puri and a pint of sugarcane juice to cool our system. This place is always crowded but it is worth the wait in line to get snacks and chai.
Loved food her main highlighting thing here is live chat and dosas
Irani chai vere levelSugar juice supperoooo supeerrr
Great tea, always busy and crowded. Halaal meat in grocery store.
Got veggie pakora - inedible. Cold as heck, tasteless, no chutney. AVOID getting anything from the store kiosk. The restaurant is better.Edit: Actually the restaurant is not that much better - got malai kofta - tasteless kofta in an extremely salty gravy. Never again.
BEST chai in town!! This place is always a favorite chai spot for everyone I know! Its creamy, smooth, tasty and just the right amount of sweet.I literally drive from Arlington to get a good cup of chai and some chat! I particularly like their papdi chat, I find it very refreshing. Another go to is the samosa chat ....delicious!
This is the best Indian restaurant in Iriving. But I totally disappointed today, I order Pepper shrimp and they gave me a bag of Salt. It’s like dead salty.
Ordered Pani Puri and it totally reminded me of India.. great taste
Undoubtedly the Best tea (milk tea, Indian style) of DFW metropolitan. Along with the tea, lot of snacking options such as chicken / egg puffs, vegetables samocha, chicken fries, curries.
Gave 4 Star (I have revised my review)‘Home away from home’ kind of experience for food. A place to visit for a Hyderabadi.> Irani Chai (ask fr lighter version)> Mirchi Bajji> Haleem> Chicken 65 (so tender and fresh)My new find here in ‘Vijayawada Boneless Biryani’(a must have dish) here. REALLY AWESOME...I brought my colleagues on a Friday and ordered a jumbo plate. It serves 3 big people.Pics Below< < < Revision: Aug 14 2019 > > > Reduced to 2 StarVijayawada Boneless Biryani is loosing the flavors. Looks like they have changed to some cheap unhealthy oil. It is now very oily. Biryani used to be very light on stomach, but now it feels very heavy. This is a sign of fly by night operator. Beware!!!
Very spicy food mango drink vinegar tasting dont like
At Irving its pathetic. Taste and quality is very bad
I went to the restaurant at 8:00 pm today it’s too much hot outside strangely they didn’t switch on the air conditioning. literally I got a headache.
I like irani chai here but some days they dont make it well
Worst tea, not even close to irani chai taste, too much sugars.
Would not recommend this place. Food quality is average. Messed up entire order.
Even 1 star also not worth it.The worst food ever, I will never order from this place. They should mention the items available when there is an online order option. What is the point in listing all the items and when you order something and that will be replaced with another item which we don’t like?hey dont even ask for the replacement of the unavailable item and they choose their own choice, unless we write about replacement in instruction. This is the worst part and if we call about missing item, they simply reply with the item is not available so replaced.Coming to Egg-puff the 0 stars for this, it never given freshly, simply heat the yesterdays or day before yesterdays item and yesterdays samosas are dipped into oil.You will be a fool if you expect the same food u have ordered.
The place lost its charm, there was a time when food, price and management was great, i no longer see the management at the store, some of the folks who work there have bad attitude towards customers as well!!
One stop store for all groceries & halal meat needs. Small sections, Clean store with few friendly & unfriendly staff. One such occasion, especially one lady that was in the counter showed lot of attitude & was rude.I was at the counter and picked up my cart and placed it at the counter for the persons convince. Instead, she insisted that I remove the items & place it over the counter. If I do your job, why are you even there? On another occasions, I picked my groceries but nobody bothered to Bill for me. Waited for 15 minutes & left for another store. One guy noticed me standing at the billing counter but was not in mood to attend the counter nor informed someone to take care. Pathetic & unprofessional!!! He was like 2 steps away from the counter.Everyone were at the restaurant billing & serving. Very unorganized. My above rating is based on my visit today for dinner. Ordered Puri, chicken pulav, a chicken appetizer & chai.Firstly, pulav is not fresh & chicken was slight stale & half cooked. Rice was broken & was of low grade quality. Appetizer was equally terrible. Potato curry was bland & lacked taste.Secondly, the tea they claim as Irani chai is not actual Irani chai, its masala chai. Which was good. I liked the chai & repeated it again.Horrendous experience I would say!!! Disappointed with the quality.
Just took samosa and looks like after cooking it was soaked in oil. Completely non eatable. I have guest coming home and I have to order something else now. What a waste of money and time
