Went to another mechanic down the street and was told my water pump needed to be replaced and that the part was $85 but the total amount would be almost $800. Didn’t quite add up to me. Was referred by my best friend to see Troy. Quoted me so much cheaper for the same repair. Come to find out, it wasn’t even the water pump, it was the radiator. A more expensive replacement but they not only honored the original quote, but also added an oil change and replaced the cooling fan. On top of all that, completed in 3 hours! This will be my primary doctor for my vehicles from now on! Highly recommend!

Honesty and integrity still exist at Coastal. I had multiple issues and Troy fixed one item before realizing other issues existed so he wiped the first bill and included the labor in the repair of the second item saving me a ton of money. Probably half the price the Dealer would have charge or more.

Ive had a mechanic in town Ive been mostly happy with except for his prices. So when I happened to break down while delivering meals at the beach my daughter recommended I call Coastal. I was thrilled with how quickly they fixed my car. The price was very reasonable, they were very professional and took the time to explain everything that needed doing.

This garage is a man cave type garage. The customer lobby is loaded with antique cars and cool stuff. The garage is very clean and you can tell they have a lot of love for their business. It turned out the squeal was just due to some loose bolts and Coastal Auto just tightened them up for me free of charge instead of taking advantage of the situation. They were also very quick and did an excellent job communicating. I will be back and would highly recommend to others!

I have been going here for 10 years taking three different vehicles here. I had a Lincoln aviator that I brought in every six months for mark crater to check on all my engine blew and he told me it was due to poor maintenance. He was the one who maintained my engine. I got a new Ford Lincoln not necessarily new but it was a 2000 and it was new for me. I hit a curb I brought it in to him to have it inspected he said that I had a whole rear end damage and then it cost $1500 to fix it. Then when I asked him for an itemized copy to give to my insurance company he said he never said that as I have proof on my Facebook of him saying that it cost $1500 to fix it and if I can upload the picture I sure as

Wonderful honest service as always

He came recommended, but I regret taking my vehicle there. First he quoted me a price, and when the job was done the bill was double. I drove the car for less than 300 miles end my front bearings began to make noise. They had just performed a front wheel disc brake conversion on my classic car, and yes they had messed with the bearings. Since I was out of town I had no choice but to get the job redone by another shop who showed me the mess done to my vehicle. Honestly I dont know where he gets the good reviews from, but I would stay far away from this place and not even drop a bicycle to fix.

Between my gf and I, weve taken numerous vehicles now to Coastal Auto now. Troy and his guys do excellent work, and you cant beat the price. He is dependable, painfully honest and wont let you spend any more than you need to. Coastal Auto is a real treasure for Jax Beach.

Just dropped my car off to get a few things fixed extremely nice staff beautiful lobby and easy to find.

Definitely a 👍 up! One of my company trucks starting with a noise we thought was in the right front of the truck so it was immediately taken to a place on Beach Blvd that starts with an M! Yes! Mavis. After 3 tire changers diagnosed it was a broken gear tooth in the rear differential wanted us to leave the truck and charge $2300.00. Not happening!! After talking with Troy he did the process of elimination. Drain the fluid to see if any metal chunks in the rear end. None! Long story short. Troy used common sense and fixed many other items that were missed by the other guys and fixed the problem for less than half of the other guys that would have been a waste of money!

I cant say enough great things about this place. Car AC went out Wednesday morning, by Wednesday afternoon I was comfortably blasting it at 59 degrees. The shop has a big TV with Netflix and tons of fun, quirky tchotchkes to check out while you wait. Everything about this place is awesome, and I couldnt be happier with the service. Troy and his team have gained a customer for life.

Wicked Excellent, Coast Efficient, and Reliable service.I had a critical Transmission issue with my Jeep that prevented it from running. It was stressful because I needed to get her running so I could make it to Colorado in time for a Job Interview.These guys, especially Troy, quoted me on the cost to do the job, which turned out to be cheaper then other places. They told me it was a 7 hour job for what needed to be done. It turned into a 10 hour job, but they kept to their word on the Price of 7.My jeep is running great and made the 3,000 Mile Journey with no issues.Much Appreciated Gentleman.

So I have 5 cars and 3 of them are work slash beater cars and these I would take to him for cheap labor. Troy and coastal did many repairs till I stopped taking them my cars after I took over my truck and asked them to fix anything that may be wrong along with having them change out my tie rods, hub bearings and oil pan gasket. I drove a 1000 miles before losing almost all the oil out of my truck and stopping at a shop. I found that they didnt put all the bolts back in my oil pan, used liquid gasket instead of replacing the gasket, and didnt pack the bearings properly. I called them from Vegas and told them that I was now paying a mechanic to fix 3 of the 4 things I paid them to fix . Troy didnt care and made 0 offers to fix it, Mark his head mechanic apologized and promised me he did do all the work properly... I had been using them for 3 years at this point so I just wrote it off to a goof. About 4 months later my wife had a bad mass air sensor so she took it to Troy to fix it. They didnt fix it, mark just flipped the air sensor around and took the car for a drive. Note: This is a lancer evo mod car, so he has been wanting to drive it and my 300zx twin turbo for a while. My wife went to the store to get a drink while she waited and here comes mark ripping down the road past her . He took my car in to high rev 3 times before he threw a rod through the block. This is not even the worst part after blowing the motor he calls me and says well it would have blown anyways ur gone to have to buy a motor! Lol I said bro we brought you this car because it had a bad air sensor !( if you know anything about cars this is miles away from a rod going through the block! ) Long story short he has no insurance and I have to take him to court for him to take responsibility for the damage he caused. Please take this into account before you take ur car to him. Over 4 years of me using him and spending thousands of $ they joy ride my car, blow it up and then refuse to fix!

Went in to get the radiator fixed in my Jeep, i took pictures of it before i took it in thinking i could send them to my friend who could fix it. Well Coastal fixed the radiator, but failed to mention he zip tied the cover (didnt screw it in) then told me i had a leak in my rear pinion seal. Took it to another mechanic who told me my rear end was fine and up to standards and the trans fluid was not low but also told me that my oil plug had been cross threaded and was leaking, which Coastal Auto changed. The mechanic in Mayport actually told me that my AC intercooler was missing as well, went back to my phone and saw that i had it on the front of the radiator before taking it to Coastal, was gone afterwards. I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to get ripped off or stolen from. Terrible customer relations and to make matters worse he stole my AC intercooler.
