Don’t everbring your vehicle to this place I was told that something was wrong with my car and then not even a couple weeks later my car breaks down on the same thing that I told them needed to be fixed then I was treated with disrespect and rudeness and nothing wanted to get done and don’t get me started on calling corporate because that’s a joke they call them all they do is return the phone call right back to the store and what does that do it has the manager that you already spoke to in the first place close out the case and not do anything about it I’ve called corporate six times and nothing has ever gotten done don’t trust this place I don’t know how these other five stars are saying that this place is great yeah not sure

I made an appointment to get my ac checked. When making this appointment you had to specify what you were going in for. When I arrived I was promptly told the ac guy isnt here til tuesday. I feel I should have been td that when I made the appointment. This was my first time trying them and it will unfortunately be my last.
Had an appt at 11:30 a.m. when I got there they told me I had to wait 3 or 4 hours for a radiator flush. I said this is this the first and last time I will ever come to pepboys and he said okay like it didnt matter.
Great place, open Sunday :). The sales person Glen help out alot. Very cool guy. The mechanic did found other stuff and Glen called me to see if I want to fix.Good mechanic and awsome sale rep.Would visit here again for my next pepboy discount.
My husband passed away 6 years ago and he always brought our car maintenance and repairs here. So when I was having issues with my car I brought it to Pep Boys as he would have. Not a disappointment. Arrived on time for 11:30 appointment to Atlantic Pep Boys store. They told me they wouldnt touch my car for at an hour and a half? What is the point of an appointment?
Had constant communication with the guy that was at the counter about what was being done with my car and why. Everything was clear cut and easy to understand. The car service was also super quick, but during that time, was called around 3-4 times for each update in my vehicle. Great service.
Was coming into town for a wedding at the beach, when I hit a big bolt that punctured my tire. Luckily, it happened right by this Pep Boys. They were closing in about an hour but were able to get me in and get a new tire on my car before they closed for the night.

Never got to come in. Called for a service appt and was routed to a weird robotic call tree where I gave up after 5 mins when it kept me in a loop giving the same options and not directing my call. Then called back and got a person, who put me on a brief hold and never came back so I hung up again after 15 minutes of holding. Ill go to one of the competitors and change the air filters myself. I could google it faster than this.Update: I emailed as they asked and have yet to get a response.
I experienced very quick and efficient service at this Pep boys. I had a busted brake light that needed to be replaced. The repair was done within 10-15 mins tops, and the gentleman who repaired my truck light was very kind. I will definitely be returning if I need to repair my truck in the future.

After receiving a gift card to get some work done on my two cars, I went in to get a quote for 4 tires, 2 alignments, 2 oil changes, and struts and shocks. The service manager, Edgar, worked with me to get a great deal on everything and even clipped a coupon for me to use. The next day both of my cars were finished very quickly with great customer service by Shane and Jorge. I was very impressed not only with the price but with the genuine kindness for me as a customer. I will definitely be back!

Took a vehicle in for service. The estimated cost for repairs was in the thousands. Much of the work they were wanting to do was under warranty because they had already done it within the last year. They didnt bother to check. They wanted to do radiator work but my vehicle has not been over heating. To only do the work I felt it needed, not under warranty, is in the hundreds. I go here because of a service contract. I dont take my personal vehicles here.

My battery was dead and it was within the warranty time frame and the man that helped us out was very friendly and got us taken care of in no time. He even came out and carried it in for us. Great service. I happened to check out their car fragrances and they have so many to choose from. They offer car repair services as well as they sell tires. Nice store.
Totally recommend this place!I get all of my work done at Pep Boys, and I rarely ever have issues with the people who work there - if there is an issue, they always work with me and get everything done. They are a truly wonderful group of individuals.I got a quote 3 months ago for $2100 worth of work, my poor car is old and we purchased it used - cant say what all the previous owner did work wise. I ended up getting the stuff done for less than $1800! The employees are always so nice, especially Glenn. He was the gentleman who helped me from beginning, middle, to end with this latest project. What an outstanding person. He was calm, and swift. There was something wrong with my car, in addition to the stuff I was getting fixed, and he sent someone to get the part from the other side of town. I had SO much work, it took all day, but that was with the ONE mechanic working on multiple cars. Now she runs like a new car and I couldnt be happier. Thanks so much yall!Hopefully I dont have another issue for a long time, but I will see yall for normal maintenance.

We were driving to Orlando from New Jersey when our alternator light went on about 25 minutes from the Jacksonville Pep Boys. I called and Shane got the part new I needed from another store in about 15 minutes. He knew we had reservations at Disney so he got us in right away. It was the fastest service we ever had. When I finally connected with someone it was fast and efficient. 1hr before lunch is the worst time to go...no one is there. Of course, lunch hour is out of the question. BUT 2-5 is good. Staff is in a good mood and very helpful. Must be that full tummy from lunch.
Had an alignment done. Drives straight now. Got a year warranty. Not like Coggin Honda on Atlantic. U pay 70 there and ur warranty is like a week.😱
The service manager Chris made my appointment when I called. He was extremely rude and kept cutting me off when i tried to explain my issue. When I asked him questions about the wait time, he was snappy and short. On the day that I arrived to drop off my vehicle, he was at the counter and told me that someone would be right with me. I continued to wait while he ignored me. When someone finally came to assist me, he then realized that he knew why I was there and proceeded to look me up in the system. He then passed me off to Doris. Doris was amazing and friendly. When she called to inform me of what was going on with my car, she was really informative and answered all of my questions in a friendly tone.The example that Chris is setting for his employees is not a good one. Luckily his employees are choosing to not follow in his footsteps of being rude and short with customers. I suggest that if Chris ever answers the phone for a customer, that they ask to speak with someone else if they want to have a good experience with the company.
I had brought my Jeep in to this location after trying to get an alignment at another shop nearby who lied about my alignment being “good to go”. I had emphasized that the camber was positive on my lofted Jeep WK and was eating away at my tires. I decided not to argue and bring my vehicle to a place I thought could get it done. I spoke to an employee by the name of Brian who was extremely nice and completely understood what I was trying to say when it came to the camber. The previous shop simply didn’t understand how to adjust my vehicles camber which is scary considering they were an alignment shop... Brian’s and his team were able to fit me in same day as I had a 1000 mile trip home the following day. Despite the difficulty and rust they had to deal with, they adjusted the camber and showed me the numbers. They really took care of me and i got home with zero problems and I even got better gas mileage which saved me a good chunk of money.All in all, you should feel comfortable bringing your vehicle here. Don’t be afraid to explain the work you need and know that they will get it done.Thanks Brian!
I went in to this location Saturday morning as soon as they opened at 7 AM and Edgar helped make my experience at Pep Boys a breeze. For the love of god— don’t try to save money by getting your oil change here. I set an apt for 8 am and after 1 hour and 45 minutes then they had finally changed the oil. It is the longest wait I have ever had, the dirtiest lounge area- no tv, no female friendly magazines, no accurate wait time despite asking 4 times how long I should expect... I will never make this mistake of choosing to go to a place with a “manager special” and will gladly pay 5-10$ more to save an hour and 15 minutes of time.
I have been waaaay overdue in giving these guys a review. I just got stationed in Jacksonville and i had only been in town a few days when I got a flat tire on my new 2018 Subaru Outback. Being a Sunday, the Subaru dealer was not able to help me, so Pep Boys was the nearest most reliable place for me to go. The Manager Chris was there that day, and he was very friendly and helpful in getting me squared away with a tire repair. Not only was the service pretty fast, they gave me a darn good deal to, thank you!
Had a great experience today. The assistant service manager, I believe his name was glen, went above and beyond for me. I told him I was traveling for work and was only in town for A few weeks but was having trouble with my car not wanting to start. I had taken it to good year a few days prior and they told me it was a $1300 fix for a new ac compressor. Still need to get the compressor looked at again, but they didn’t even check my battery at the other shop. So I spent $160 for a new battery at pep boys rather than blowing $1300 and still ending up with issues. Because of this I decided to get my rear brakes at pep boys while the car was in the shop. Due to the exceptional customer service from the front desk and the speedy answers as to what was wrong with the car I was willing to spend more money. I will return to this location next month when I am in town for new front brakes too! Thanks guys, you were great!
This mechanic shop is a hidden gem tucked away off Atlantic Blvd near 295. I came when I was in a pinch for an oil change after being turned away from the dodge dealership up the road. They were very accommodating and offered to take me in after the cut off time. They couldve told me to come back another time, but instead, they catered to my needs, my schedule, and did a great job while exhibiting a positive, we want to help attitude. The staff was very friendly and very helpful! Glenn signed me up for a rewards card that immediately took a significant amount of money off of my total! Meanwhile, Sarah went thru their inventory for me and found a compatible portable charger when my phone was dying. She opened the box and tested it for me, and even offered a price match on a more expensive charger to save me money. Im so grateful to this Pep Boys for their outstanding customer service and willingness to go above and beyond to help me! I will be back for more! :)
They could not reset the maintenance required button after my oil change. That is my only complaint.
Took my Ford Focus here for an oil change and was informed my 2 front tires were down to metal and needed to be replaced asap. The Store Manager, Edgar was unbelievably helpful to me and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. It feels good to find reliable and sincere customer service now a days. I highly recommend coming to them for any of your parts and service needs.
If i could given the a zero i would. Had my son take his car in for a coolant leak. The 1st question they asked was when the timing belt was replaced. They then charged for the pressure test and stated that the water pump was leaking. That and the timing belt needed to be replaced. ~$1500. I had just had the timing belt replaced at 100K so i was fairly sure that WASNT the problem. I had him go back and ask about the radiator and what it would be to just replace that. They said the radiator was cracked too!!!??? Why wasnt this told to us on the initial check? Why the water pump and timing belt? Do not trust these guys to correctly diagnose your car. Went to another shop, got a reliable diagnosis and cost was much more in line. Buyer beware!
I received excellent service today from Glen and Craig. I had a mishap and little time to get the repair then Glen located the part and got me into repair promptly. Craig did the repair in record time. I was able to get this done and not be late for my event. Thank you so much for being so kind and understanding. Will definitely reccomend this location.
I scheduled an appointment online for 8am to have my AC inspected. When I arrived at the location I was told their AC guy would not be there until after 930. When asked why I was able to make an appointment even though the AC guy wasnt going to be there the associate said they cant control online appointments. Seems fair enough, but have the courtesy to call you customers and let them know before they show up. Im sure the location pulled a list of appointments for the day and saw AC for 8am.

I just moved to Jacksonville by myself after having a mechanic dad no more than 10 minutes away my whole life. So when my check engine light came on and my battery started to die I was frantic trying to get a new one ASAP. Edgar was SO incredibly kind and helpful and I couldn’t be more grateful. He was honest and treated me like a friend rather than just trying to get my money (which is very common being a young woman with no car knowledge). Do not change your car oil here.I did the oil change here and the oil was running out and the car did not move.I called and asked what I would do.He told me to bring it over.This is a crazy sound.Call the Towing Company and take the car.and they want me pay againThey will not feel sorrydo not change oil or fix your car hereYour car is like me.And they wanted to get in touch.Does not solve the problem
I came in to get my brakes looked at and found out the back brakes were all gone!!! the guys here walked me through what happened and then told me what it would be to fix it. Being a college student I was trying to find how to get the money. They worked with me and found every discount they could to make sure I would be safe on the road. I came back two months later( today) and they helped me again with the same outstanding service and kept me informed what was happening the whole time I will be coming here even if I move away. Mike, Jimmy, Junior, Skinner helped me a whole bunch and went above excellent service.
Our vehicle battery died at the light 1 block from here. We walked over tio get what we needed and met Maddy. She found 3 batteries in stock and allowed us to choose what we wanted. She assisted us with the tools we needed and even met us at the door when we returned with our dead battery. I havent found better service in any auto parts store in Jacksonville that matched hers!Thanks for making our difficult situation into an easy fix!

This location is trash as well as its customer service from employees. Had an appt for 9 am, car wasnt seen until 11:30 am and quote given at 12 pm, an outrageous quote at that. Asked them to look at one thing in specific and comes back with a list of things needed to be fixed asap. Not female friendly, will try to rip females off. FYI, the main mechanic doesnt come in until 10 so any appts before then you will be waiting. Not saying the store location and what happened so they can investigate further via there canned response for everyone who leaves a bad review. You know what store it is and what happened. DONT COME HERE!
Don’t bring your car here. Work orders state to have your tires rotated at every oil change and the want be mechanics don’t do that. They hire people that are not knowledgeable about their job. The service manager knows nothing about cars. He only knows what the computer tells him. If you do go speak to Chris or Brian. They know what they are talking about. Don’t speak to Edgar the service manager, Prior manager at a store but not a shop. Craig is an excellent master technician. Everyone is great except for the service manager.
I went to Pep Boys to pick up a few supplies for an oil change and a battery block. The manager, Mike rang me up in the store and insisted that I let one of his guys help me install it in the service center. When I went back to the service center the person helping out even offered to help me change out a headlight that just went out earlier that day. I was very appreciative of the customer service and willingness to help me out.I see that this store had some less than favorable reviews but my experience was great and I will definitely be returning to this store for future car needs.

Unless you have a large wallet and a lot of spare time do not come to a pep boys. Went to pep boys Tuesday afternoon to get my drivers side window fixed. Had to buy all the parts myself and bring them (not a huge deal) but they charge 120 an hour for labor and charge a shop service fee as well. I had to sit and wait over 2 hours just to be told that there was another part missing which i also would need to pick up and have installed because they misdiagnosed the issue. When i was ready to leave (with a window that still did not work) they hit me with a $300 bill which i never got an estimate or paperwork for. I do not have AC in my car so the windows are important to me, which is why i needed a quick fix. I came back this Friday morning at 7am with a scheduled repair appointment. Im currently waiting in their customer waiting area for an additional 2+ hours to have the part installed. Over $450 spent, 4+ hours of waiting, and multiple days with no AC and a broken window. Choose any local shop over pep boys. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
I want to thank these guys (and gals) for their superb customer service! My starter went out on Friday, stranding me and my little one at 7am..on payday..GREAT there goes my check. I went in for a starter, and they offered me price match and saved me $80 on my part! I was really shocked. They did everything they could to make sure I left satisfied, and for that Im grateful. I came with a problem caused by another Pep Boys in the Orlando, FL area. Tim went above and beyond to ensure my vehicle was serviced correctly and in a timely manner. After everything was done, manager Rob came in and personally test drove the car with me to ensure my car was at 100% and that I was completely satisfied with the work done. These guys were able to turn a bad experience into a very positive experience, making me a happy and loyal consumer. I recommend this store to anyone.
This is my neighborhood Pep Boys location. I came in with a laundry list of issues that needed immediate attention. Edgar, Shane and Brian were able to successfully ease my anxieties caused by a prior visit with a Honda dealership. They walked me through the price and process and provided the best options for my situation. Ive been to two other locations in the past but never received a more human interaction than the one I recieved with the Atlantic Blvd. Team. Thank you for all that you do and keep up the good work!
All my visits at the Atlantic location have been great and have had positive and friendly interactions with staff. I usually get helped by Sarah who is always extremely nice and helpful and im always happy to come back.
I have been going to Pep Boys on Atlantic Blvd for a few years not and never have taken the time to write a review. A few days ago I was in a bind and call the store to see if I could arrange an oil change for my girlfriends car. She was 1000k miles over due and we had a Thanksgiving trip coming up. She didnt have enough money on her or much time but after speaking with Mr. Jimmy, I was able to arrange service on her car and pay over the phone. Having this kind of service is beyond amazing. Never has anyone made such an effort to ensure my needs were met. I have an old 99 Chevy Silverado that has over 200k on it these days and the crew at Pep Boys keeps it is good shape. Each time I visit, they prioritize my list of needed services and repairs so I can be aware of what is coming down the road. I cant express enough the piece of mind that I have when the service team is servicing my vehicles. Thank you Pep Boys and crew. By the way I love the coupons that come in the mail right about the time service is due!
Took them over 7 hours to do an oil change for my work van. I dropped it off at 1030am its now 6pm, and its still not ready. They have a habit of not calling when my van is ready as well. So I have been calling to see if its ready or, not.... They really do need to work on there speed of service, and customer service. It takes 2 minutes to call me, and tell me my van is ready. But for some reason I have to call.... My company needs to just stop doing business with them to be honest, and I will be certain to let the owner of my company know that I wasted an entire work day, because they cant change oil in a time efficient manner.
This is the place to go if you want fast and friendly service. I always bring my car here when it needs work. On my most recent visit this week, the boys proved once again reliable and honest. The master mechanic is always happy to explain to you exactly what is going on with your car, even so much as to take you into the garage and personally show you whenever the problem is visible.The general manager, Mike, is helpful and sincere. He was very knowledgeable about special deals and promotions. He saved me about 300 bucks on my struts and shocks! Called these guys if they can replaced my valve stem on one of my tire and they said to come on in. Dropped my tire off with them, they said they will need to contact my dealership for the specific valve stem for my vehicle. Was told they will call once its finished. Never recieved a phone call back. Waited a whole day for their call. Mind you, I had plans for the day but having to wait around for their phone calls had to put my plans on hold. So, the next day, had enough of waiting around, drove over to pick up my tire. Regardless if they replaced my valve stem or not. Went inside, an employee saw me entered the store, did not acknowledge me that I was there. Instead, another customer walked in after me and he acknowledged him instead. Until another employee saw me standing and waiting and asked me how can he help me.Told him I wanted my tire back regardless if its fix or not. He brought it out. Looked like it was replaced but the concept is, should call back the customer ONCE IT IS COMPLETED LIKE THEY SAID. Their customer service skill is not on point. Saw a few men standing around, looked like they were procrastinating around. Wont be returning these guys ever again. I wouldnt leave them not even a 1 star but its required.

Very unprofessional. Ill be sticking to my original location that I go to off of Blanding. I moved to the south side so thats the only reason why I came to this one. Im good though.
I came to Pep Boys to buy 4 new tires for my car. Store Manager of Service, Cordero and Assistant Manager, Glenn worked feverishly with the bay crew to get the tires, put them on and perform the wheel alignment in reasonable time and at reasonable cost.I was totally satisfied with the service this visit. They were extremely professional and courteous.
Very unfortunate visit. I booked same day appt for 11am. Showed up nice staff said it would be up to 2 hours. Finally at 3.5 hours I asked for update. Oh, 2 guys just went to lunch. Why didnt the service person warn me at 2 hour mark? Never will I do this again. Just appalling! Pep Boys needs to get better at this.
Worse place I ever been. I took car in for flat repair, for 1 they could not find the leak and then they go and LOSE my keys and blame me. Needless to say after I called their boss they found my keys. the place is worthless, the manager was and is the biggest loser on this planet.avoid at all costs.
My experience today with Pep Boys was AWESOME!!! I went in for a problem I was having with vibration in one of my tires. My Service Rep was Ed. He listened attentively, asked a few more questions and gave me some possible causes. My mechanic, Jim, took my car for a test drive and confirmed the issue. Jim took the time demonstrate what was happening and what was wrong. And he explained the problem in words that I could understand!! Ed helped me every step of the way to ensure not only my safety but to ensure I get the best pricing available. I left feeling confident that my car was repaired properly and that I had gotten a fair price. Thank you guys..Good customer service is hard to come by these days, but you went above and beyond.

Will come again shortly!That was 6 months ago how fast and customer friendly they WERE..Came in today and dealt with Sarah and Orlando being disrespectful about my child walking around with me and told me that I needed to leave the store if I was to have my child with me while waiting on me car.. uhh I came to get the tire fixed due to a nail in the tire that I bought from pepboys.. why would I leave for something that should be completed pretty quickly? For this you will now get a 1 star because yall have lost sight of how to respectfully handle customers.
My husband and I went to Pep Boys with a tire issue. We were treated with understanding and respect. The problem was resolved. Mike, the manager, was great. I recommend this Pep Boys to any one. The team is great!!! Thank you for all of your help.

This was my third time in the past six months visiting this store as they are always very helpful, friendly and appreciative of my business. I was greeted as soon as I came in the store and my van was looked at thoroughly. The master tech showed me where my suspension bushings were bad and also the wear on my tires do to my excessive camber. He even showed me different options of camber arms and which ones were recommended. They were able to replace my bushings even though it was almost closing time and the store manager made sure everything was taken care of to my satisfaction. This is how a customer should be treated.

PSA. Never go to Pepboys on Atlantic and 295! I purchased a 3 year alignment with the company in January. This morning after countless attempts to set up an appointment on the phone, I went into the store to speak with a manager about getting a refund. Since they have no time to service my car why have a 3 year contract with them to do my alignment? This is where things get wormy. After being told that no one in the store was authorized to give me a refund I made a claim that I would be posting reviews on social media about the horrible customer service. As I walked out of the store I turned around and took these 4 pictures. The first one is the desk where I thought the service manager was standing, the other three are a series of photos showing him storming through the door to attack me. He attempted to knock my phone out of my hand and when he was unsuccessful he pushed me to the ground and proceeded to stand over me and yell at me. Please steer clear of Pep Boys on Atlantic. And please spread the word to all your friends as well!
I recently brought my car in to get checked before I made an 18hr drive for the holidays. Jimmy Yu and his friendly staff took great care of my car. They were honest and helpful. They were even nice enough to fix a piece of material that was hanging from underneath my car. I definitely recommend this location to anyone. Thanks for making my car safe and reliable!
