They fully diagnosed the problem, were able to identify several other services that needed to be repaired and were fully upfront and transparent. I will gladly use this service again and recommend them to friends as well. I was also impressed with their follow up process. Hailey called me several times giving me updates and her knowledge to be able to fully answer and clarify her answers to any of my questions was amazing. It truly gave me a piece of mind. I dropped my car off Ford Focus 2011… days after they pop on the black list for USMC and now I see why. I dropped off my car here because they were the only ones open and my car was overheating.. When I first dropped off my car they were talking about numerous tests that had no way of fixing the overheating.. These people try to make the most money out of you they tried to make me buy a new engine for $2500-$3500 when my cars only problem was that it was overheating… if my car needed a new engine it would not start at all or drive whatsoever. They would’ve easily got a cheap engine from a junk car for $500 and made $2000 profit.. and my car would still be overheating.. anyways I got my car out of there and took it to another mechanic and they are already fixing the problem that I had thought these people would fix.. the over heating. Karma gets everyone so I’m not too worried

Company members were very helpful in making sure I had the correct parts, and that it would all fit before they bothered to install it all. Responded quickly via text while I was out of town and hardly had service, just checking in on progress and price changes. Even asked if I wanted something done BEFORE doing it,, unlike most shops around. Looking forward to going through them again if/when I need work done in the future. Cat sounds amazing after the exhaust modification. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to this business for 3 years after having my first issue with my car. Since then I’ve taken multiple cars to them from luxury to common vehicles, and let me tell you… They always had a solution, experience, and knowledge to get my vehicles serviced. These are honest, hard working people that I think if given a task they will always fix it or figure out to get it done. They have an eye for fixing all the discrepancies on your vehicle, so be careful on taking your cars to them because they will almost always find more problems. But if you want affordable quality in this town, these are the people that will get it done for you. If you look closely through the reviews, You can see the owner :James Tayman writes his own reviews on his business and even posts under peoples names and makes a review for them and its not even their own review. If you scroll down the same punctuation error and grammar errors are same throughout. For example the word Nd is a prevalent thing he does and its copied and pasted in multiple reviews hell if you go all the way down you can see he wrote a review under his OWN google account.Also this place is anything but honest if they can write their own reviews they sure can lie about other things.This business is known to point out anything they can to replace part wise to add the cost higher for example if you want something done they will try and force you to add things to it so the bill will go higher and so they can sell you parts.They also will almost never answer the phone and hold your car for super long periods of time with no promises of it getting done.Bottom line had work done there, took way too long try and carry yourself with a little more pride and be honest.

I came to this shop to have my clutch done, staff is great can’t complain there. Only problem I had was the car was there for almost 2 months and no work was done.

Went in with my check engine light on. Needed a new alternator. The team here got Me in and out very fast with no appointment. Took my vehicle here to get some repairs. They were up front and honest about their wait time which actually worked very well for me because the repairs i needed arent cheap and they gave me a really good payment plan!! I got to make payments towards my repair without having to worry about any interest or storage fees, even with doing the payment plan i still got the full warranty with them as well.Once they started the work on my vehicle they sent me updates and any issues they found i was kept up to date with and was given options on what i wanted to do.They arent the quickest shop in town but their communication and willingness to work with you ive never experienced before.Most shoos dont even want to answer the phone let alone help you.Highly recommend this place to everyone i know!

Dropped my car off with them on a Monday and they were able to tell me what was wrong with my vehicle on Tuesday. They offered me a payment plan with 0 interest and no storage as long as I guaranteed them the repair to my vehicle. They sent me pictures and videos of why they were recommending my repairs and didn’t expect me to have the money immediately. It is nice to go to a shop that realizes people are not made out of money but still see a vision for their vehicle. They are willing to work with you as long as you keep in contact with them even if it is not to put towards your bill and just to say “hey I don’t have it right now”. They have an amazing warranty as well!! The local dealership was $50 an hour more and their warranty doesn’t even compare!!!I highly recommend this shop to any one and everyone if you want amazing customer service and an amazing deal.

Other mechanics missed diagnosed and/or misinformed my finance of the issues with her car to exploit her. She is a strong minded woman and try to deal with issues on her own but after a loss of hundreds of dollars and the car failing a few times, I decided to take the car to Superior Automotive. Ive known james for years and have always trusted his work. Hes truly amazing, he not only diagnosed the issue with her car but also explained to us the different ways the issues could have came about and gave us a number of suggestions on how to avoid problems and keep her car functioning. His staff is very easy to work with and as long as Im here in North Carolina or whatever James decides to expand, I will only use his services. Thank you for your hard work brother!!!

I brought in my old station wagon that ran just fine back and forth across the country from Oregon to NC. I put tens of thousands of miles on it doing regular scheduled maintenance and what not. I had a coolant leak so I took it into them on Sunday because they were opened. They kept my car for 5 days now, which has been a massive inconvenience and they kept driving up the cost of my repairs by wasting time and finding one thing after another that I should replace. They keep trying to sell me on addition repairs, wasting my time and money. I call them this morning at 9AM and they dont pick up the phone even though they open at 8. Ive called them 10 times and they still wont answer. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE

They really are the cheapest prices around. When I was trying to get my grandmothers car fixed every place told us wed have to pay 1200+ they charged us half of that. Even took the time to call and check on my grandmother and make sure she wasnt driving the car because it wasnt safe. Really went out of their way for her. Will definitely go back in the future.

Took my truck in because I was having clutch issues that I just couldn’t for the life of me figure out.Hayley had my tow set up quickly, I called her and she set everything up for me and was over $50 cheaper than any other company I called.She told me she would contact me every step of the way and she did!!I’ve had issues with other shops just doing what they pleased and hitting me with crazy expensive bills out of no where many of time, so when she told me she would not go over the diag fee without calling me first it was hard to believe but that is exactly what she did! She called me and explained the bill and also sent me a photo of every single part the cost as well as the labor so it was extremely black and white.Once I gave the approval for the repairs updated photos were sent to me periodically and if a part was needed I was contacted about it prior to them just installing it.James the technician/owner would call me and just go over what he was seeing and explaining to me the concern and leaving the decision up to me on if I wanted to replace the component or not.It was actually very nice to speak to a Technician that cared and took the time....not very many shops do that.100% would recommend this shop to anyone with a gas or diesel!!

Weve had a great experience with James. Great prices and very honest! Wont tell you that something needs to be fixed just to get paid, he actually refused to take money for a potential repair until he tried the easier, less expensive fix first (most mechanics wont do that) and it worked! We will be back for more scheduled work on our truck and we will be bringing all of our vehicles to him for any work they may need in the future.

I highly recommend him. I used to go to Precision Auto Tune and after spending 3000 in less than a month and constantly having to come back for more issues I felt hopeless until I found James. He not only fixed my initial problem (replacing starter) but he made sure everything else was fine as well. I had a noise from the drivers side which was one of the things that the other place was supposed to have fixed but failed. Very affordable a brand new starter from the auto store would cost me more than what he charged for the part and labor. He is meticulous with his work and takes pride in what he does. As long as I live here I won’t be taking my car anywhere else.

He has handled my oil changes, he serviced my transmission. And all the basic up keeps like bulbs, air filters, a.c. services and brakes. Cant beat the price. Honest mechanic and a great guy.

Im new to town and picked Superior based on the Google reviews. I was extremely pleased with this veteran run business! They have great prices and great service. I love that they use text as an option to communicate, I got more updates than any other place ive ever been! Plus their hours are the best! I dont have to take off from work to pick up my car because they are open weekends and during the week open until 7. I will go back. A couple of heads up: the place is at the end of a dirt road and there are a few signs up that say no entrance but that is the way you go, it threw me off the first time I went. Also they take cash or card and there is a fee to use a card so if you want to bypass the fee make sure you bring cash.

Recently brought in an old chevy that needed quite a bit of work done. They stayed in touch, giving updates and costs for what needed to be done. They never seem to be off the clock. The whole staff is a solid team who do great work with the few people they have. The cost was solid and so was the care taken to give my car a longer life. James and Hayley are incredibly knowledgeable and professional when it comes to vehicles of any make and year. I recently brought in my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, because the thermostat on it wasn’t working properly and it also had other issues with it, that I wasn’t privy to. They were super insightful and upfront about what needed to be done and what it was going to cost - which was arguably a fraction of what I would get charged anywhere else! To add to the challenge, I also brought in my 2005 Subaru WRX STI (which they have been also consistently working on).Hayley was super helpful and gave me in-stride updates on what was being done to my Jeep and what they were discovering along the way. I honestly have never experienced customer service of this magnitude in any mechanic shop, or any business for the fact of that matter! Their professionalism is commensurate with their astonishingly meticulous work ethic and unequivocal quality of work. They are very passionate about what they do, and for these reasons I have become a lifelong customer; no one else even comes close!
