I decided to use Connie Duglin Linen to rent tablecloths for my wedding because they are a preferred vendor with my venue. Ordering the linens was pretty painless, but I ultimately decided to cancel my order and rent through my wedding planner instead. I told them on Monday 8/9 that I wanted to cancel and the representative I spoke with - Rita - said she would cancel. I followed up on Wednesday - 8/11 - asking when I would receive my money back. She said she would find out. On Monday 8/16, she called me (probably so that it wasnt in writing) to say they were keeping 25% of my money but the rest would be refunded. I have not received any kind of information that says they would keep 25% of my money if I cancelled, aside from the FAQ section on their website. However, the website says that would be the case if I canceled 2 days before my events and I canceled almost 6 weeks ahead. Also, their website says they take a 50% deposit and the remainder closer to the date, but they took my full amount at the start. I finally got my partial refund this morning - 8/20- but I STILL cant get any response as to why what Im being told doesnt match the website. I will be letting my wedding venue know.
