I shop there all the time and there is a awesome cashier name Deanna that is very nice and awesome. She is very nice and happy when I go through the line. Will not shop any other store.

Theyre pricier than some stores, but it isnt as price-gouging as Festival Foods.Shnucks has one of the better meat sections, and their bakery is really fabulous. Product selection is limited, but generally high quality.Some of their sales are amazing.

I really really want to like this store. The rewards program is amazing and they have sales worth your time. It was my first choice for a very long time. Sadly, customer service is cringe worthy. I was kindly given a gift card and when I went to the counter to pick it up I was told the counter was closed and that there was no way to get it, even though it was sitting in plain sight and just needed to be grabbed. I had to go mildly assertive to get someone to simply walk five feet . One of the only stores I’ve experinced staff literally refusing service and walking away unapologetically.

My sister just picked up her cake for her wedding and it was a disaster! A very simple red and white themed cake was presented with red and green hideous blobs and the writing looks like a kindergartner had done it at best! The strawberry puree filling that was ordered turned out to be fresh strawberries INSIDE the cake. I soggy mess indeed! The bakery lady was rude and as incompetent as the man that took the in-person order!Update - the manager is having a new cake made and it will be ready tomorrow! Hope this one is what I ordered.

I will never shop at schnucks again. Went there today, the bagger just plopped our eggs in the bag, all broken..... We purchased a 3 pack of sirloin strip steaks which were no bagged. I called the store. I was transferred to a manager. The manager put me on hold so he could grab a pen. He never came back on the phone and i ended up getting hung up on. Schnucks has gone down hill badly. The customer service is horrible.i would like someone to contact me about this. I will never shop there again, i will never recommend that store to anyone.

Giving 1 star is being nice. Worst deli selection ever and having to wait around a wall to be called to the next register is ridiculous! Being a Saturday, they need to have more lanes open. Definitely wont be back.

Might as well close Hot Food section of Deli, its always empty anyway.

Self checkouts here do not work correctly. I paid cash and had to wait for an attendant to give my change back. Not going back here either

I was very disappointed in my service. The line was super long and they only had 2 checkouts open. Took forever. Then I was overcharged for an item. The clerk was not friendly about it. She then asks Do you want me to correct it? Not friendly. When I said yes of course I only want to pay the correct amount. She got huffy and corrected it. Shoved my change at me. Didnt say a thing. Not sorry for the inconvenience or even a goodbye. I doubt I will shop there again.

Best grocery store beef in town.

Its not Woodmans, but its less busy. Good selection. More expensive then Woodmans though. Low staff almost always so when its busy be prepared for a line.

Was a disappointing to see the deli area, food left out overnight, not clean. Didnt appear fresh!

Best meat counter in town. Prices are a little on the high side but worth it. Pepper selection is sub par but theyve got the best avocados around and the lines are always short. My go to grocer in Janesville.

The butcher here is very helpful! I love their slices of birthday cake, its a guilty pleasure of mine to grab a slice every now and then.

I only run into schuncks to grab whipped topping bakery items. Its the only place Ive found that has the whipped topping the way I like it. I dont buy anything else from this store. For all food items I go to woodmans.

Produce is overpriced and usually goes bad very quickly. Some good sales but staff seems stretched thin, but they do a good job.

Out of stock on featured merchadise in weekly advertisement. Went to store on first day of sale and told out of stock and not available, so basically tough luck. Felt this was misleading and dishonest. I can only imagine the number of customers who will experience the same negative reaction in the coming week until the ad expires and sale over. Why put out ad if not prepared with sufficient merchandise?

Solid grocery store. Mostly good quality product and a reasonable price. I prefer here over Walmart for groceries. Some things can get a bit pricey.

Very prompt service through the line. I found everything I needed, very clean and organized store andn produce.

I decided to shop at Schnucks instead of the stores closer to my home. To my surprise I saw 2 employees not wearing their mask correctly. All had their noses sticking out and that puts everyone in the store at risk for COVID. One man with his nose sticking out, was taking inventory in the dairy section. A women with her nose sticking out walks out of the warehouse and into the grocery store and starts having a conversation with another employee. This is unacceptable and dangerous to everyone.

Selection was clean but felt lacking in comparison to other similarly sized grocery stores. A bit overkill on the pandemic regulations even as most other stores have relaxed on that. Made it more of a hassle than it was worth. Prices a smidge higher than similar sized store

Exceptional and over the top service from Sara and Sydney to put together a special instacart delivery for my poor 89 year old mom in a rehab center! I couldnt come in as I live in Florida, and they were so very helpful!

For the amount of workers they have in-store, you would think theyd be able to help you find a product but it took incredibly long time to find what I was looking for. Over all not too bad of experience. May be back

Good for when I just need 1 or 2 items. Selection is good but their prices are noticeably higher than the other grocery stores in the area. But I can get in & out fairly quickly. Although Ive never met a friendly employee here.

Quality food and good produce!

Carts cleaned in front of you, all employees wearing masks, a cue for checkout to provide for proper social distancing, and a checkout clerk who used hand sanitizer between customers—and I just drove into Janesville for the awesome meat counter! I will be back for the clean and safe (as possible without all fellow shoppers wearing masks) shopping experience!

I have always liked Schnucks for their meat selection and bakery. Their cookies are very good in the bakery. Schnucks also has a very nice produce section and the selection is fresh and has a nice variety.

Clean, well organized, not as busy as other grocers in town. Excellent meat and produce. Prices generally a bit high; Excellent for a small shop, but may break the bank if doing a 2 week shop for a family- I estimate a full shop of $300 at Woodmans would be $375+ at Schnucks.

My boyfriend and I recently moved to Janesville. Schnucks is the main grocery store we go to since it is close and decent prices. We have always had a good experience there. Last night, when it was down pouring rain, a worker had two umbrellas, and was walking people to their car. I had never ever seen a grocery store do this, it was so kind, caring and awesome of them to do this! I was speaking with an older lady waiting to run out into the rain, she had a knee brace on and was hard for her to get around, so this was tremendous help to her, as well.

This is one if the very best grocery stores to have in the neighborhood. It is the right size for just about everything. Price is competitive and no big lines. I shop here all the time now.

When we go here there are many free samples of things for kids 10 and under. Also the deli-section has great freshly sliced lunch meat. The other foods are somewhat expencive though. But its a great place to stop for deli-meat or fruit, from my experience.
