Excellent product, extremely well made and easy to use. Accuracy from my Uberti 1847 Walker, was pretty incredible. 12 shots at 25 yards in an 1.5!.I highly recommend these folks.
Howell Arms Corp did a great job fitting a Howell 45LC cylinder to my Pietta 1860 Army 44. Chris the gunsmith performed the fitting on the parts so that the timing and lock-up are perfect. He also installed a full-size Army grip assembly to replace the smaller Navy-size grip that came with the gun. The gun now handles much better with the Army grip assembly. I am totally happy with the work they did. Maggie, the customer support specialist, cheerfully answered all my questions about fitting the cylinder and shipping my gun to Howell. She was a pleasure to deal with. Howell Arms Corp is a good bunch of folks. You can rely on them for quality work and products.
I believe that they sell used parts because I bought a conversion cylinder for the wrong pistol sent it back and they said that it was used but thats impossible considering that I dont have the right pistols to be able to shoot that cylinder so the only other possibility is they are selling used parts. I send my cylinder in waiting for them to send it back because they dont accept it and they refuse to answer my calls or give me a refund for my money. So pretty much they just robbed me and are avoiding me now this is a horrible company I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy. In the process of a dispute with my credit card company I have several messages of them saying that theyre going to send it and then me telling them how to get it there with payment and a ignore it
I have two of Howells 5-shot Remington/Pietta conversion cylinders in .32 S&W and .45 ACP. Both work great, but the .45 is cylinder exceptional -- locks up and indexes tighter than the factory percussion cylinder and produces superb groups using 240 gr. cast lead bullets and IMR Trail Boss. Fired cases usually fall out without poking. Thanks to the 5-shot layout, I had ample room to counterbore rim recesses to allow the use of .45 Auto Rim brass -- these in turn permit the use of a tighter crimp. I may purchase another of their .45 cylinders in stainless steel one of these days.
Super friendly people and an awesome product! Three of my revolvers and my revolving carbine were converted to cartridge through them.A+++
The best around. Friendly and professional
