I have rented a storage area at Liberty Storage since I first moved to Jersey City more than 10 years ago. On occasion I have had 2 two units because of adult kids in transition. The place is nicely lit, extremely clean, and easy to access. The is nothing even remotely sketchy about it. The staff are all extremely professional and helpful. I highly recommend Liberty Storage. We have an inside unit because it is climate controlled and cleaner (less dirt from outside) than the units that you can access right from your car. We also picked the second floor because of the proximity of the river. The elevator works great, and there are always plenty of carts, hand trucks, and dollies on hand to move the stuff in and out.

Have been storing my personal and business items here for many years and always found this facility to be very clean and well lit and the personnel helpful and knowledgeable. Would recommend this storage facility to all who need extra space for their possessions

I never write reviews. Today is the exception. This storage unit has the worst possible hours. The staff today blocked the gate prior to their posted 4:45 gate closed time... when I requested to pass they said no because they already set the alarms. I had made great effort to get to the unit before the closing time and the staff said “sorry they all ready set the alarms and want to go home”. The storage business hours are posted that is closes at 5pm and the gate closes at 4:45. I guess they just wanted to go home early and the customer does not matter to this business. BTW I have a very small amount of items in my two door car (approx 3 boxes and two bags) one shopping cart worth, needing to be placed in the unit prior to me leaving town for an extended trip. I will be getting out of this storage facility as soon as I possibly can.

Been using Liberty Storage for past 3 years with good results up until the recent storm. Many people lost a lot of their belongings due to the flooding at the locker which wasnt helped by their lack of overall unpreparedness.Granted the storm wasnt their fault but I find it hard to fathom why they took ZERO precautions to protect peoples belongings. Sand bags on the two doors to the entire building would have saved a lot of heartache and trouble and mitigated damage to a degree. Also the lack of compassion and understanding from staff after the event makes me feel very bitter towards the place - I wouldnt recommend it!

Store your boating/park goodies next to the park! Very helpful staff. Very convenient to NJ Turnpike.

Overpriced. If you can avoid it, do so. If you live on your boat this is the best option. Bite the bullet.

I found this storage thru my boyfriend, he using they service over 4 years and now I use they service almost a year, I love these people, especially drivers that picking you up from the lite rail at the liberty state park, then they will wait for you until you done and drop you off back to the lite rail, at first I was hesitating about location, I have no car, but pick up service resolved that problem, very clean storage, always smelling fresh, very down earth people, price point is resonable, highly recommend :-)

Just a heads up:My van was broken into just last week (gated lot on Thomas McGovern Dr.)...rather than help find out who did it, the owner had the rest of my things removed from my parking spot before I had a chance to get them, and even though most of it was junk there was an oil drain container that I needed that was thrown in the trash with used motor oil in it!!!
