I rented a storage unit from StorQuest in Jersey City on 9/1/2021. Per the contract, the storage unit was supposed to be 5X5X5 feet thus yielding a storage space of 125 cubic feet.I finally made it to the storage unit and noticed that the size was completely off from what it was contractually promised.The size of the storage unit is 5X4X4 thus yielding storage of space of 80 cubic feet. That is a 45cubic feet difference which is substantial.StorQuest is misrepresenting their product as well as falsely advertising.

Overall my lease/rental experience was good. The lady who set everything up for us was very friendly and professional. I saw a prior review stating that the 5X5X5 units were smaller than advertised, so she let me borrow a tape measure, and see for myself. The units were indeed smaller than advertised, mine being exactly 4ft tall and about 4.5 feet deep and wide, so realistically 4.5X4.5x4. I accepted this discrepancy, mainly because of the reasonable $27 monthly rent & professionalism of the staff. The building was quite clean and climate controlled and fairly easy to access from Tonnele Ave, although exiting can be challenge when traffic is heavy. Theres also a $25 admin fee when renting a new unit, however some of that cost & monthly rent can be offset if your homeowners insurance includes external storage units, saving you the additional insurance fees. Finally a special lock is required for these units, as they dont take regular padlocks. We had to buy their $20 cylinder lock, however you can find similar locks on eBay for around $8 if you have time to wait for delivery.

This storage is like home. The managers are very friendly, fun and make me feel welcome EVERY SINGLE TIME! Very cool team. Loraina, Kassandra and Diego way to go!! As for the facility, very easy access and clean property as well. 100% recommend.

I appreciated StorQuest for its great customer service over the phone (24/7 support)! The employees at the site were also extremely accommodating and communicative, and there were often many dollies available to move my stuff with. It would be great if they could facilitate dumping in some way (maybe offer a dumping service for an extra charge that is lower than the $150 - $300 dumping fee).

I wish I could give 0 stars but... we all know. This store in Tonnelle Ave. in NJ is the worst and the managers and district managers just hide behind their customer service employees and service line. They will sell you the space, also the insurance and months into the service they will call you telling you the agreement was wrongly made that you should fix the agreement or take your property out immediately. When you go and collect your property it is also damaged and the insurance will not cover and they will not refund the insurance premium you were paying for nothing. Of course, they will no take responsibility because the agreement was made by someone that luckily is out of the company. I will make that all the people I know do business with any other storage company but you. 👎🏾👎🏾

You can keep your extra things here like your kids toys, winter clothes jackets & extra bangs .

The storage units are very clean and inviting. The prices are great for the units, and the personnel inside the office was very helpful to me regarding renting a storage unit. They even said they would call us back when they have more availability of the size I needed.

StorQuest has been a great and smooth experience. From the digitized help selecting the right size storage unit, to the great, in-person assistance from Kassandra and Diego, everything has been very easy. The facility in JC is clean and they are keeping very safe with Covid regulations. Having used other self-storage companies in the past, StorQuest has by far exceeded my expectations.The one and only thing Id recommend is having a few more dollies available during busy times, but we still were able to get one relatively easily so not even something Id consider an issue.Thanks again, Kassandra and Diego!

Clean facility and Affordable prices. Staff is very knowledgeable. The Store Manager Loraina was very efficient. She was very welcoming ever since I stepped into the office. She showed me around the facility and told me everything I needed to know. I felt like an expert when I was heading out. Great and lovely experience.

Me and my husband were looking for storage space ASAP.... we found a great unit near our home. Easy to get to... nice and cold air conditioning 100% a plus because the storage units we visited prior were very very warm.... love the fact that the space is well air conditioned... friendly manager very nice and knows her stuff ... can’t be happier. Clean, organized, thorough process. Unit is exactly what I needed in terms of space. Same Code is mandatory to get into the storage facility, entrance into the unit area themselves and, and facility exit. Highly recommended once they have a sale.

I reserved my storage unit on the website than someone called me to finish everything up...it was. Completed all I needed to do was come in and pay. I took a while to come in so I called and paid over the phone with a young man, he told me my card was declined however the funds still came out of my account. So I went there a week later and there was two amazing workers who tried there best to help me... I showed them the payment and for some reason I had no reservation at all. They wanted to create me an account and just waive the charges cause they seen where I paid l but however there manager would not allow it. So I had to start over and pay again and to this day I still don’t know where my payment went and the unit that was supposed to have been mines was rented already and the manager never called me to apologize if the inconvenience or given me my money back yet. If it was not for the two workers that went above and beyond to try to help me I would never recommend for anyone to use them for storage space

All in all, I have had a very unfortunate experience with this StorQuest facility. What looks to be a beautiful and clean facility on the outside has its flaws internally. First and foremost, I booked a unit online in July and when I showed up to the facility on move in day, the agent at StorQuest reluctantly informed me that the unit size I requested was no longer available and I had to settle for a smaller until size, which barely fit the items that I brought to move in. The solution was to try it for now and they could “potentially” give me another unit near mine at a discount to fit my items. I was desperate for a place to store my items since I had moved out of my prior apartment that day, so I took the available unit and stuffed all my items in there. Tough start.This week, I returned to the storage facility to remove my belongings so that they could be moved into my new apartment. The lock on my unit was jammed, so I had an employee assist me in removing it - keep in mind the employee witnessed everything that follows. Upon opening the door to the unit, I noticed large footprints on TOP of the furniture that was left in the unit, two empty drink cans that did not belong to me on top of my dresser, plus a yellow plastic grocery bag and a handkerchief on the floor that also did not belong to me. Underneath the bag and handkerchief looked to be a pile of some sort of dried brown substance (I will let your mind wander as to what that could have been). In fact, after seeing it the StorQuest employee said, “Oh that’s nice.” After removing my items and working to assemble my bed that night (and sanitizing everything since it appears someone was in my unit), I noticed that I did not have the custom bed slats that came with my bed (over 1k bed) and no replacements that I have ordered fit my bed. 6 days have gone by, I still can’t sleep in my bed, and StorQuest hasn’t checked any security cameras or offered to accommodate this issue in any sort of way. The only option that has been presented is to contact the insurance company that I had a policy with for the unit and submit a claim.With as much sarcasm as possible, thanks a lot StorQuest! If I could give you negative stars - I certainly would.

Jose was very helpful. The facility is clean, priced lower than other facilities for more space, and staff are friendly. Check in process was smooth and took maybe all of 10 minutes. I would recommend them compared to other facilities I’ve used in the past especially if you’re looking to save a few dollars.

Great rates and friendly services from staff at Tonnelle site.This site is clean.Unfortunately the only entry is off of the 1&9 which is always busy....so plan time when you meed to pick up or drop off your items. They will lock you out if you bill is pass due. So no entry or exit if you dont pay your bill.

Jose provided great service. He was extremely helpful and most of all really pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend this location for your storage needs based on the Awesome customer service and the huge modern facility which offers numerous storage options at a fair price.

Been using this facility over 2 years for business purposes. I most say the service is impeccable. Everyone is great, but I usually deal with jose. When I have to step into the office its always an in n out situation. He is very efficient and rapid with talking care of me.. He is very polite and always willing to find a solution for whatever my needs I may have at the moment. Its really nice being able to go in to a place where you know someone will always be willing and happy to help.

I can see why this facility has good ratings. I went in there for a quick look at the units and was impressed with the general upkeep, cleanliness. I didn’t select them in the end for my storage needs because I found another storage, equally nice but slightly more convenient for me. I’d recommend this place.

HORRIBLE!! I called and reserved a unit and was told it would be held for 14 days. They werent able to send me an email confirmation because of some sort of system limitation but I got the actual unit number I would be renting as confirmation instead. On day 13, I called to complete the rental process and was told that the unit was gone and they had no other comparably sized units. When speaking with the District Manager, I got the impression that this happened frequently due to miscommunication between the call center and the storage facility. I was utterly shocked by the disorganization and the unprofessional manner in which this business was run. In the end I was forced to find a storage unit elsewhere on a very short timeline.

Before I moved in, I was helped by a lady and a guy through phone, they were very nice and helpful. Therefore, I went ahead booked a unit and paid through phone. They told me to stop by the office on the day I move in to finish some paper work. Everything was wonderful until yesterday I arrived with a full truck and my moving helpers. The other guy who was working there yesterday yelled at me right away saying I can only do things through phone not in the office, which I don’t mind, I only wish he could clam down and say it nicely. Then he went back in the office we talked on phone, he suddenly yelled at me again through phone saying I’m not showing him my ID so he won’t let me in, and ask me to go somewhere else. I was like wth???????? He didn’t even ask first. And how could I show him ID right away through phone? Why wouldn’t I show him my ID, I’m waiting to move in?long story short, I ended up spent lost of time just try to get in to my unit(and I was paying my moving helpers by hour.) when we finished moving I figured I cannot use a regular lock on the door of my unit, they use different locks on the unit doors, he didn’t tell me that and was not picking up the phone, so we took a while again just trying to reach him. He eventually pick up the call from my helper and asked me to buy a lock from him. I feel so tired even just recollecting all these things. After all, the unit price there is relatively fair, the other two staffs who helped me before were wonderful. Now I only wish I can see those two next time. Fingers crossed.

As a consumer-oriented service company, StorQuest cannot be beat in its field. If the world operated as efficiently and as agreeably as this company, wed all be in better shape. Even before I started my rental, when I wasnt certain of the exact date I would need access to storage, StorQuest held a space for me--and even called me each month beforehand to find out if I still wanted to reserve the space. The customer service representatives are very friendly, understanding, and cooperative--their aim is to help you, no matter what your storage needs may be. And at last, when you finally show up with your van and your many cartons, the sign-in process is so easy and so professional that within minutes you are personally escorted to your selected space. And just another little note: The space i rented in Jersey City was so clean that you could, as they say, eat off the floor. Spotless. This is totally five-star, top-notch customer service. Oh--I almost forgot--StorQuest works with an ecology organization that plants a tree for every new rental. GO STORE STUFF!!!

My experience was quick and easy. Came in on a Sunday and got my storage unit within 20 to 30 min. As I walked in with very little knowledge of the whole situation but the staff helped accordingly and promptly. I highly recommend it.

Needed to find a place close to home to store some stuff due to a home renovation. Luckily I walked into the StorQuest on Tonnelle Ave on a Sunday Afternoon and met Jose Cruz. I explained what I needed. He took the time to tour the space with me showing differenr sized units. I wanted a unit that was close to a door and easy to access, he found one at a price I think is very good. Jose, whos easy to talk to, made the sign up and payment process very easy. An hour later I was able to move my first load into my new unit. Thank you Jose

DONT GO THERE! I booked a unit online on the ground floor, when I came to the front desk they gave me a smaller unit on the 2nd floor and told me if you want what you booked online you need to pay extra.Make yourself a favor and just avoid this place.

Rented a unit from this location a few days ago The facility is brand new and super clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Both Alex and Ana were amazing and even offered me coffee which made my morning. I felt safe in the building as it was well lit and had cameras both inside and outside. Pleasant music was playing in the building.

Looking forward to this next year with more space in my apartment.Set everything up online initially and drove down with a loaded car. Alex was able to verify my info and get us packing up our unit within 5 minutes. Everything was a breeze, easy layout of the building, very clean place, also had dolly carts for bulk unloading.They have special, more secure locks there for purchase, so I wouldnt bother picking one up ahead of time. Great $1 deal for first month and low rates otherwise, definitely recommend.

Smooth process - could be a bit faster.Reserved and paid for online. Also signed the lease online. The site was very helpful - dimensions and descriptions were detailed and accurate and we made the right choice with that information.When I arrived for check-in it still required another 10-15mins of paperwork be completed and signed. Would have been nice if they just pulled up all the many forms I’d already filled out online. I bought their lock - not sure if there was really an alternative and I was looking for convenience. Doing the transaction for just the lock took a while because their internet is WAY slow.Facilities are clean, and climate controlled. They have carts at the two entrances and with codes required for in and out it felt fairly secure.All in all a very good experience - I’d give it a 4.5. Just need to smooth out the check in a bit more.

I was not only treated with the upmost respect when I walked in but I felt like I’ve been there before and they knew me. Ana helped me pick the right spot that I needed at a great price! The patience they have with customers plays a great part in first impressions.I would definitely recommend this amazing location to any one looking to move their stuff.

Nice new facility. No windows to the outside world as some pictures on Google depict. Manager was nice but could NOT explain why the unit i reserved 48hrs in advance was supposedly rented out by the time my appointment for move in came. Moved me into a same size but less convenient located/oriented unit -feels a bit like a bait and switch, but not much to be done i suppose. Easy in/out gate with access codes.Will come back and adjust review up/down based on experience once a month or two have passed.

A+ Customer service and A+ overall experience. The prices seemed to good to be true compared to everywhere else and I was expecting there to be a catch. The whole time I was skeptical and kept thinking at any moment the problem with this deal was going to be revealed. But Ana Mercedes is a superstar, a true professional and she had me signed up and out of the office so quickly that I was able to return my rental truck early. No Surprises! NO Catch! Also the storage unit itself was bigger than i expected (higher ceilings) and had a giant door spanning the width of the unit so moving large items in was easy. 10 out of 10.

Wow! I was beginning to think that there weren’t any decent storages in Jersey City. I searched the web and thought it was too good to be true... StorQuest? It’s a new, immaculate, innovative and friendly place . More parking than the rest and a very attentive staff. As soon as we walked in the door we were acknowledged and greeted with the curtesy of “Good afternoon, are you looking for a storage unit? I’ll be right with you as soon as I am finished with this customer in about 10 minutes, please have a seat.” Every now and then Alexander, the Property Manager reassured, “I’m almost finished”, as to keep us informed. He asked us what are we looking to store?He showed us several units and suggested the unit that might meet our needs best and cautioned against over paying for unused space.We were very pleased and decided this is the place that will get our business! We were also astonished by the low prices of the units. Being from New York I was pleased with the courtesy, professionalism and savings. I know my precious stored items will be secured and preserved.

Not sure where all these star reviews are coming from. Ive had a miserable experience with this facility. I have been with them a year and my rent has gone up 3 TIMES. It started at $69 and now it is at $104. Less than a year..... They are more like prison guards than customer service folks in terms of how they treat their customers. Have had storage units with many other facilities including Staxup Storage who have been a wonderful company. Ive had storage in North Carolina, California and NYC and Ive never had my rent raised like this. Nor have I had a negative experience with any other facility and Ive had units for over years.

This place is so clean. I love it here! The place, the people that work here, the customer service is all amazing !!! The person who greeted me, Loraina, was such an amazing worker. She explained everything to me and answered all my questions very professional. I left here having no doubts no questions. She made everything so easy. She recommended autopay so I won’t have to stress about it. She was phenomenal. One of the best experience with customer service it’s with her. Good job on hiring her!!! If I could give this place a 10 star I definitely will.

Dont buy any supplies if you are not sure you need them they have a no return policy that means if you buy something you cant return it for a refund

Very nice organization. Plus you get $1 for first month. It also has various sizes like 5x5,5x10,10x10However, other charges like lock charges, administration fees etc sums up to 40$.So little expensive in that case.

4 months later: I called to double-check my gate code to access the facility. I had 1 day on the east coast to access my unit. When I got to the facility, my code didnt work and there was no one working there to let me in.The front desk person was inefficient and I had to make several trips from my unit to the front desk to get everything in order. He didn’t have any information about the insurance, so he told me to call the insurance company.There were moths flying around my unit before I moved in. The units are open on the top, so if someone else brought pests into their unit, then they can move between units easily. I’m worried the moths will destroy my clothes and rugs.On the phone, I was told I would have a ground floor unit and then another time I was told I had a 2nd floor unit. When I got there I had a basement unit. Then they charged me a fee to change from a basement unit to the 1st floor.
