Awesome shop with a huge selection of hard to find gear including night vision. Glad I found this local store.

This is my go to shop for gear and FFL transfers. I always try to support our local and/ or small businesses. For those b*itching about prices and ammo selection, keep in mind you are in a small business and paying for personalized and great service. Products at the smaller stores cost a little more, mostly because they unable to order things by the thousands. On the other end youre NOT just a number when you buy something here. I always have a good time when I step in there, and they have always gone above and beyond to get me anything Ive ever needed (Im a gun builder myself). Theyve even spent the extra time with me to teach me a few things over the years (and as long as you go in there without acting like a super Navy Seal, General, Sgt Major operator who knows everything, Im sure theyll do the same for you).

Built me 4 AR15s custom they recommended me to get a 7.62x39 caliber for my first one and now I have 4. Never any jam issues or feed issues as well. If you want correct recommendations Katy gun gear is a must. Spikes,Daniel defense,Aero,and Aero my collection the built me so far

Very quick and helpful service. Picked up my CZ Scorpion here a few months ago and was in and out within a couple of minutes.Just got a new flash hider installed on a AR 15 that I wanted timed and it was done in a timely manner. It was timed perfectly, exactly the way I wanted it. The best part was that it only costed $20! A different gunsmith tried to charge me $90+ for the same job. Great place for gunsmithing stuff which I did not know about. Will definitely recommend and go to again if there is something that I cant do myself.

Absolutely great place. These guys aren’t price gouging at all! Buddy of mine picked up a brand new AR here for a precovid price! I recommend this place to anyone. They are knowledgeable, and will work to answer your questions. I’ll definitely be back. They have Some AR barrels, Holsters, And a Few guns, plenty of AR parts, and Sights. They also have knives, and Can install anything you buy.

This place is awesome!Ive been coming here for a few years now. I was new to guns and these guys were very well informed on all the many questions I had. I have gone to other stores for their budget friendly options, but I have definitely learned my lesson on that. This place only offers quality parts, so I highly recommend them. Also Alex, who was a marine I believe. He is extremely helpful and has so much helpful tips.I love this place and recommend it to anyone from beginners to the experienced.

Very friendly atmosphere! Great customer service which is hard to come by in typical “gun shops”. Their prices are some of the best I’ve seen here in Houston. They’re certainly an AR15 stocked store, both rifles and accessories. They also have an armorer/gunsmith in site which has been incredibly useful. Any accessories you buy in-store they will typically install on your rifle for you. Couldn’t recommend these guys more!

I was here last year to get a vest for my job. They have a lot of good items but I got the feeling that I didnt belong there from the vibe I was getting. So I bounced.

Great atmosphere and top quality customer service. You can tell that the guys there really are gun guys, and not just someone who happens to work at a gun store just for a paycheck, like you would find at Academy or similar outfitter. If I wasnt just visiting Katy, this place would be my go-to spot.

Six Stars. Very good prices on rifles, parts, ammo, optics, you name it. Their prices, are often better than you can find online, plus you can see and hold the part before you buy it. If you have questions, David and Kyle REALLY know their stuff! If you need an AR, let them build you one from scratch. It normally only takes a few days and they will let you pick the exact parts you want. If you buy the parts there, they will assemble them for free. Youll end up with an awesome rifle at a good price. These guys are avid shooters and they can tell you from personal experience what works and what doesnt. But, unlike some gun shops, they are low key and they dont insist that what happens to be their favorite gear is THE only way to go, all others being junk.

Highly recommend shopping here! Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are very competitive. They carry a wide variety of tactical gear and firearm accessories. Will definitely be coming back to splurge on some more AR accessories for my upcoming builds.

This is the place where everybody knows your name and is often my safe space from other people’s feelings, I have been shopping here for the past few years, from taking out a second mortgage for impulsively buying your favorite new gun, right down to gun advice when you build / modify your next toy 5 seconds after purchase, great selection of AR parts and Glock parts, not too much on the 1911 side but that’s okay, the tackleberry bed bath and beyond section is great lots of great soaps and colognes to remind my wife where our savings went. Proud supporters of the US armed forces, law enforcement and traditional American values. Would check here before going Elsewhere and were running out of places like that.

Wish I bought my gun here instead of Guns Unlimited. Fair prices and nice Guns but I wish they had a bigger variety of ARs. I’m not a fan of the skeletonized ones and I’m not too fond of the colorful stuff (not to say that they don’t have a large variety) but their stock of attachments and gear are great and they’re the only store I shop at! 👍🏿

Really cool staff, very accommodating.I drove in from out of town to purchase an AR I had been looking for and these guys had the paperwork and rifle all ready to go when I got there late in the business day. Would have been a super fast and easy purchase, until my card was declined. Not only were they understanding and unphazed by the annoyance, they kept the shop open an extra 15 minutes while my bank worked on freeing up my card again. 5 star business through and through. Shopped at Boyert for years, until I bought a Tavor there and finally got fed up with the service. Made the decision to stop by Katy Gun Gear, and wont go back to any other store. Fantastic staff, great prices and manages to make Boyerts multi million dollar facility look like a circus. Boyert, if youre reading this: the words out, your staff suck, its almost like people dont want to spend 3k at a store full of frat kids.

These guys are the real deal. I know them all by name they are that helpful. Theyre the kind of people you just want to hang around. Very friendly. The prices are the lowest in town on EVERYTHING. Example: Oakley Tactical gloves are $75 at the Oakley store, here the same thing is $50. Recently purchased an FNX 45 TACTICAL and an RMR for it. They ordered them in in just two business days and when I came in to pick them up they had already mounted the RMR for me and sighted it in. I saved $150 on the pistol and over $100 on the RMR. Josh, Kyle, David, and the new guy........keep it up. And thanks for all the advice. Really saved me from buying junk. Big double thumbs up.

Has small amount of inventory and never said even a HELLO to us. Guess because we werent a local.

Maybe I came in at the wrong time, but when I walked in at 625, I had thought they had 1/2 hour left. However, they were busy putting everything away, and not so much as acknowledged I had even come in the store. If they really close at 630, they should say that.. and not 7:00.
