The only gun shop in Katy worth your time. Wont BS you like most of the others. Unfortunately, some people take them being upfront, truthful and honest as being mean. Purchased several items here, got my LTC here (when it was necessary). The only place I will shop.

Very helpful staff, professional, and has a large stock of guns and ammo especially during these hard times being a gun owner with all the shortages. I recently purchased a CZ from them and the gun was beyond competitively priced. Even though this is a long drive for me, I often come back just for ammo or accessories I need. One of the best gun stores I have been to especially if you live in or around Houston.

I came in and was talked to by a harsh dismissive voice by the clerk behind the display case. Not at all polite of hospitable. Very rude towards people who dont seem to be your average gun-owning type.

This is like a toy store. They have a great selection of firearms with an in house gunsmith. Kevin and his crew do a great job. Very friendly and inviting and easy to get to. I have been back and will definitely come back.

Excellent gunsmithing service! Mitch has custom built 2 AR’s for me from the ground up and multiple trigger/sights/tune ups on S/A hand guns. If I don’t feel comfortable doing it myself I take them to him. I have also scored a couple new purchases at great deals. The atmosphere is chill; hang out, have a coffee and good conversation while shopping and/or discussing your build. Always fun to slide in and just window shop too.

These guys care. Friendly and professional. Kevin did me a solid today on finding a silencer. I had ordered online and it was back ordered 2-3 months. While Kevin was helping me with the finger-print kiosk, he connected the dots and sold me the identical can that he had in stock. Considering you already wait six months for approval, I am trilled to avoid the additional wait for the back order to clear.

I do many of my transfers through here. Always timely and reasonably priced. The staff is very helpful and every time I come through I see a few rarer high end guns. Definitely worth stopping in routinely to see what new toys they are stocking.

Horrible customer service. Purchased a used gun and have been to the range three times with nothing but problems. Switch the ammo out, purchased knew mags, cleaned it thoroughly and still having issues. Check with the shop to see what they would do only to learn they never fired it. We were nver told the gun wasn’t tested when it was sold to us. It’s now our responsibility to contact the manufacturer and pay to ship it to them to see if they can fix it. If your going to sell used guns you need to make sure they work or put a disclaimer out there. People don’t buy guns for them not to work. Also not user error. With 12 years in law enforcement and being very experienced with firearms we know what we are doing. This is ridiculous and would not recommend to anyone!!!!!

Shop around before you buy here. I bought optics today from here and paid almost double here then other places I could have gotten it on sale for the exact set up.

I purchased a otf knife from these guys, got it for a good price, got home and realized I didn’t receive the box it came in, so I emailed in the evening after they had closed. I asked Kevin if it was available, that night he replied in a very courteous an professional manner. An I picked it up the next day after work. I recently had a PCC built. They were great walking me through the process of building the exact fire arm I wanted. They got right on the ordering and building my PCC. I received it in less than two weeks. They answered all my questions. I highly recommend these guys if you want to purchase a fire arm or any accessories.They are very friendly and great to work with.

Could not be happier with the guys and with the service I received at Payne Brothers Firearms. I have had multiple FFL transfers and all have been smooth and quick. Their inventory and selection is great as well.They had a Mauser 98 repaired for me and are holding it til I can get there to pick it up. The price was perfect and they saved me a lot of money. Other gunsmiths looked at the rifle and said the fix was going to be complicated, requiring the receiver to be ground down and it would cost at least $700 more than Payne Brothers charged me. Mitch knew exactly what needed to be done and the fix was completed in a timely manner.I will be a returning customer and thank you for all of your help and great work!

I really like this shop. They spent a lot of time with me going over my first suppressor purchase and new gun trust. Then, after I changed my mind a week later about which can I wanted, Kevin just made it happen - no fuss. 5 stars plus!

Stopped by and noticed they had a Python for sale. I remarked to the salesman that I still had mine and it was the second new gun I had ever purchased. I told him I bought mine new in Amarillo in the 1970s and paid $265.00. The salesman as much as called me a liar and retorted how could you get a Colt for that kind of money! I told him the gun was old. Like me. I’ll never go there again.

Payne Brothers Firearms gained a life long customer this week. I stumbled across my dream gun (MP5) at another gun store. It was obviously over priced. I called Payne Brothers and told them what I was looking for. The gentleman stated he would email around and see if he can locate one for me at a more reasonable price. He advised me that it could take a few months to locate such a rare item. TWO DAYS is all it took . I received a phone call stating they found one at another store and it is being shipped to their location ($400 below the other stores price). FIVE DAYS from the initial phone call and I had my dream gun in hand. The name of the gentleman who made my dream gun a reality names was Mitch. Mitch went above and beyond to ensure that I would be a life long customer. He ensured that I had all the add ons I could possibly have dreamed of and so much more. Before I left a happy customer he made sure that I had Payne Brothers merchandise to take home with me.

I had an old Mosin that they were more than happy to take apart and clean the grime and cosmoline out of. I also had a kickass AR built in 6.5 Grendel that Mitch did a killer job on. PBF is professional, knowledgeable, and has a talent for knowing what you want. Mitch, as well as the rest of the professionals at PBF are second to none. Mitch upgraded an S&W AR-15 5.56 (which I bought online and transferred to PBF with no problems) and custom built another AR-15 5.56 with a binary trigger for me. Skeptical at first.....true believer now. Already working on the next rifle. PBF treats you like family and continues to give great advice on ammo, upgrades, brands, and local ranges. You just cant go wrong regardless.
