Glad we found Gordons Food service store while visiting my mother in law. Thier products have made our meal prepping and freezing easy! Store was clean, offered a great variety, and friendly service!

I have been a customer at this place since day one. I have never experienced these reviews that some people have here. The owner is extremely nice, their whole culture is that way. He has never turned me away from returning something out of date without a refund or an exchange. Whatever I prefer. I am here every morning and I buy the bread here, because its made fresh at their location, and it has never gotten me sick like some people claim. Their hummous and deli selection is absolutely delicious. And its FAR from being dirty. I love this place. I love the people and will continue to be a loyal customer for a log time to come. If people are here just to write bad reviews for this or any other business, I doubt that their reviews are at all credible.

Extremely dissatisfied with their goat meat. Their goat meat is pre-cut and packaged. When we got it home and started to cook it, its nothing but bones! No meat! We are livid we paid over $20 for scraps. I would not trust to buy any other meats from this place and I will not be returning. If youre planning to get goat or any type of butchered meat, dont come here. Go to a Mexican market or somewhere else. Id rather drive 10 miles for quality meat than this lousy place.

Worst place to buy meat!!!! Poor customer service I walked in to super green store get some meat the person at meat counter was extremely rude. He don’t know how to treat customer and this is not the first I faced it every time when I visit this store he always be like that. Management has to teach him some basic common sense on how to behave with customers.

I have purchased poultry and sometimes goat/lamb from this place. Being a food inspector, I am very picky about what I buy and eat. I have to say, this is hands down the best place to buy fresh poultry for sure. Chicken is so tender and usually very fresh. Thank you very much for proving such good products and keep up the good work in maintaining the quality.

I went to send someone money through Western Union and no one came to assist for 10 minutes.

This place is one of my favorite grocery stores. The quality is unbeatable with awesome prices and welcoming staff. It has a great selection of Middle Eastern, Indian and many other delicious foods. My favorite by far is the deli section: samosas, grape leaves, and shawarma sandwiches and their hummus is a must try! Will definitely be coming here more often!

The employees are all very welcoming and sweet, especially the owner! They all take safety very seriously--they wear masks and are all taking many covid percussions. There food isn’t fresh and taste a bit stale. Some weeks ago bought a chicken shawarma and found a fly in it. Today gave them another chance and bought a dish with chicken on pita. Pita was stiff as if taken out of freezer and chicken and white spots like fungus.

I was suggested to try this store for goat meat. The only worst meat we tasted in US. Bought 2 pounds of meat but almost bones (at least the bone weighs 1pound).Meat doesn’t taste good as well, its frozen and the butcher cannot differentiate between flesh and bone piece and the cuts were improper as well.We also tried Dates(middle east big size) it was old and tastes like flour.Worst experience with this shop and will never turn back at them. Waste of money.I prefer to get goat meat from Mediterranean market.New customers pls dont even think to try them.

Few workers were wearing a mask. Many items didnt have prices. Deli workers not wearing a mask. We were told they had great breads, and it looked like it, but with the lack of care and hygiene, Im hesitant to shop here.

This store is amazing. The staff are very friendly, especially the owner. I drive 1 hour to come here every week. Their bread is fantastic and is always fresh, and they have very low prices according to the other stores I usually go to. The store is very neat and they have everything I need. The meat is always fresh, clean, and halal, and the butcher is very friendly. I definitely recommend you go there. You will not regret it.

Great hummus and pita. Extremely high prices on the deli items. $9 for a medium tzatziki? Over $10 for a medium container of tabouli? Outrageous. It might be a little easier to deal with if they’d have things labeled with prices but still.

This store is one of the best stores I have ever been to........Everything they have is fresh and wonderful. The staff they have is very respectful. You always see the smile in their faces which in a way they make you come back from their respect and the care for the customer that comes in..... I love their meat since its halal and always fresh. NOT only the meat is fresh, the vegetables, food, and other supplies are always fresh in the store. It also makes me and all my friends that go their happy because everything you need you can find it their fresh, halal, clean as well in really competitive and good prices. Before a few months I read a comment saying they are racist...whom ever posted that is wrong. If he has a problem with them its his fault.... I see how they treat people, they treat them in a very polite and respectful way. I even know that they give out meat, bread and other food supplies for people free. If he had a problem, he could of have communicated with them to solve his problem.My advice to you all is if you want to have something clean,halal and fresh ONLY visit this store.

This market has a lot of your ethnic food needs. Its the closest place in GR that has this kind of food. There are a lot of good food options at the Deli as well. Their Baklava is really excellent. It is a little crowded though and the produce section is lacking. They also have a small meat counter that has some good cuts of beef. The staff is friendly and helpful as well which is always a plus. Will keep coming back for those specialty food purchases.

Contrary to several of the reviews Ive just read, I found both the produce, as well as the meat, to be quite fresh. Also, the employees I dealt with here were very helpful and answered all of my questions in an extremely friendly manner. The hummus, Bakery items, and especially the olive bar, deserve more than the five stars allowed. Your visit here wont be complete without taking home any of the freshly made deli items for a quick and delicious meal or snack.

Worst place to shop at!!!! Poor customer service because of the Arabic store limitation in Grand Rapids area. I walked in on Monday Morning to get some groceries before I go to work but the cashier was extremely rude. I don’t know even know what to say about their customer service!!!! I am just so disappointed.

This Middle Eastern grocery store/restaurant offers an exceptional selection of foods/products. From grains and fresh veggies to fresh baked pita bread and deserts including a frozen food section, hard to find spices, olives, etc. Dont skip out on the deli section, which includes meats and prepared middle eastern staples such as hummus, tahini, and lots of other very common salads and main dishes. This place is great.

Charged way too much.. Not friendly at all. Passes unnecessary comment. If you ask me him if its fresh then his reply will be No its Not. You dont pass this answer to a customer. If you dont believe me try it. I am now going to medeterrianian Island at 44 and Kalamazoo and things are very cheap and fresh there. I willing never gone again.

Almost everything at this store are overpriced. Many items dont have a price on or below them. When you ask questions, the staff are not honest and they lie easily.You dont see any signs that says they do not accept any returns. But when you want to return or even exchange something, they refuse to take it back or exchange it and they argue with you about it. I do not recommend this food market!

Great place for middle Eastern food. One of 2 options in town. I dont understand people complaining about prices. Pricing very similar. Sometimes even cheaper at green market. Deli has lots of options. Well stocked. Burris are delicious and inexpensive. Hummus, babaganoush and garlic sauce super good. Pita bread everyday. If unsure of what you are buying, ask. They are more than happy to answer. Ayis, the owner, is very helpful. So is Sam in the meat department. Instead of complaining be thankful this food is even made available here in Grand Rapids.

I have been shopping from this market for more than a year but unfortunately I have discovered that they bring their meet from New Zealand while they are saying it is fresh. In fact, their meet is not bad but they need to tell the truth. Also, I used to buy the Royal Rice 20lb from this store for $25 and I found the same rice in Costco for $17. I would recommend you to stay away from this market. Almost every thing they sell is overpriced. It is not personal but it is the truth.

I give five stars to the meat and bakery departments - fresh, clean and tasty! However, the fresh vegetable & fruits section is not deserving that many stars. Most items are not fresh, does not look clean and lacks variety. Prices are not competitive. Staff is OK in general. Its hard to see smiling & happy faces however... Every time I go there, I have to listen loud Arabic music in the store - nothing against the culture or the music but it is very loud and is not pleasant to the ear.

I called them again to be sure, they answer me no it is fresh from farm to market?!!!Next time, be sure if you buy anything from them. I need them just to say the truth because it is easier for people to know the truth.So next time guys, be carful about what you buy.

Fairly new little market with a great selection of fresh foods, canned items, spices, and a nice aisle of inexpensive cookware items. They have pitas that are very tasty, extremely fresh, and very fairly priced. The deli has amazing baba ganoush amongst other dishes, and has a small seating area with an option to dine-in if desired. To top it all off, the staff is very friendly - a few even live in the neighborhood and started remembering me on subsequent visits. Check it out if you want to try something new and delicious, if your spice cabinet needs a restock, or if you just want to try out an awesome local business.

The chicken and the meat not fresh.They think they are smart by skin the chichen or by cut it smaller!my suggestion is make sure before you buy.becuse i bought chickens and did not eat it.
