I have been going to CarX for several years now and they have always taken good care of my car. They have told me to be aware of possible future issues that have happened to my old car. Im pleased with their service.

I recently had 2 car emergencies that needed quick service. Darrell got my car right in immediately. Darrell and his staff were extremely helpful and professional. The charges were very reasonable. I would most definitely go back and also would recommend Car-X on Dorothy Lane in Kettering to anyone who needs their car repaired.

Every time I went to car X I’ve been very impressed. The service has been timely it is probably been professional they are very honest and even one time they did not charge me anything when they said it was just a simple repair and got my car back to me very fast which was very helpful being an essential worker during the pandemic. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for them and thank you again so much for your great work and great goodness that you are as people!

I thought my front brakes needed replaced because I heard a lot of squeaking, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear they just had a lot of brake dust on them. I said well I wouldn’t have known any difference if you just told me they needed replacements, and he said we believe in treating people right so they come back. Excellent service and they didn’t charge me at all.

Our Lexus had a hole in the exhaust flex pipe. I dropped the car off for a quote in the afternoon and had a estimate within an hour. They mentioned they would be able to cut out the old pipe and weld in a new one. I told them to proceed with the recommended work and later that afternoon the car was fixed. The quote over the phone was exactly what I paid.

This group is exceptional in its management capabilities and technical skill levels. I have used them on multiple cars over the past four decades and I am always amazed at quality people they find and keep and the quality work they do. Thanks!

The customer service here is great! Always feel like a valued customer.Would be 5 stars, except for when I brought my car in for an alignment, and it came back worse than before... But when I brought it back they corrected it free of charge no questions asked! Its not always about the mistake, but how you make up for it!

Excellent service is what you get at the Car X shop in Kettering, OH. I had an appointment for an oil change and more importantly exhaust work as my car sounded more like a race car then a passenger car. Not only was solid work performed but the back muffler was still under warranty so I saved over $200 on the replacement. Some repair shops would have not said anything but Darryl took the time to research it and found the savings for me. I have had work done on several cars of mine and well as tires. I receive the same great service every time. I have recommended a number of people over the years to go there with the same results.

Ive always gone here for car repairs and theyve always been great. I took my car in there today for a windshield wiper issue, no apt, and it was fixed in under 5 minutes by Nick. He didnt even charge me since he said all that was needed was a bolt being tightened. Great service and helpful people!

Brought in my car when it began reporting low pressure in one of my tires. I drive a 6 month old Tesla Model 3, so I was really nervous about any kind of mechanical work. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem, I drove over a nail, whoops. They weren’t able to find a new tire in stock, so they put my wheel back on and didn’t charge a single penny. Very happy with the speed and service, and even though I drive an EV which doesn’t typically require standard service, I would feel comfortable with letting this shop work on tires again!

Ive used this shop for years and liked the service, but I wont be returning. I bought tires and had some other stuff done back in 2017. I barely drive, except to and from work, so my tires are still in real good shape. I noticed within the last year I had a slow leak on one of my tires. Went in for an oil change and asked them to take a look when rotating them. Now in my experience normally a slow leak is typically caused by a dirty rim. All I was told was we looked and didnt find anything in the tire. Well, nothing in the tire would tell me its probably a dirty rim and seeing as how I bought the tires there, thought they would take care of it for me by dismounting the tire, cleaning the rim and remounting the tire. Nope...werent even interested in doing it. So tough luck. Ill just start doing what I can on my own and go elsewhere for the other work.

I called Car-X on black Friday to see if they could figure out what was causing a bad smell in my car when the heat was on. Even though they were fully booked, Daryl told me to bring it in anyway and they would squeeze me in if someone cancelled. I brought my car in, and later that day I got a call that they had managed to look at my car despite being booked up and had found an issue and could have the parts to get it fixed the next day. Daryl was up-front and honest about the pricing and work that needed done, and told me what needed done today and what could wait a few months. The work on my car was finished before 10 AM the next day, and when I drove it home, the smell was gone! I cant thank these guys enough for getting me in last-minute and getting me taken care of.

My engine light came on. I called Darrell at CarX and he had me bring my car in. It was a false alarm. No engine problem. Darrell explained why the light came on. There was no charge for the service. Excellent service always at CarX. Great Job Darrell, thanks

After having a bad experience last year at a competing shop, I decided to give this CarX a try. Im very glad I did! My car was overdue for an oil change and I had to travel to Cincinnati the next day. I called this location at 1:00 p.m. and was able to get an appt. by 4:00 p.m. that same day. There were customers there when I arrived but they got me right in. The technician was friendly and accommodating; when I asked him to check out a different issue, he got right on it, even though it was close to closing time.I recommend this place for their quality work and willingness to go the extra mile for their customers.

Car-X is awesome, I pretty much go here for all of my car needs! The staff is really good at what they do and I have never experienced them being too pushy on anything I didnt need or want! They honestly have some great discounts and even if they dont have any on their website they typically try to find the best price for you or the best discount for you! The manager Daryl really knows his stuff and the company is lucky to have him!

Polite, fast, did a great job and excepts appointments, it took me two weeks to get my oil changed and everyone was rude as hell at this one place i wont name.... Anyways all i had to do was call these guys! Save your time and money and get treated like a person and not a pest call this place you wont regret it! 0 Stars for this company, from me! I had a terrible experience with Car-X Tire & Auto. They clearly took advantage of my circumstance and over-charged for a brake job. I would not recommend to anyone to rely on this company.

This place has always been awesome. I almost always come here for all of our oil changes. They’ve handled both our Toyota Camry and our Nissan Pathfinder. They guys who work here have always been soft spoken, helpful and fair. That’s why I keep coming back. Their waiting room has vending, a bathroom and magazines. It gets the job done. I plan on returning here soon for new break pads. I know they’ll take care of me!

If you’re looking for car repair that is honest, quick and reasonably priced, this is your place! I’ve probably taken 10 different cars there over 15 years and had all sorts of work done. I’ve never been disappointed. On the 1 or 2 occasions there’ve been issues, they’ve always made it right.

Had tire replaced, oil change and new battery. They did a great job. Friendly staff, and knowledgeable people. They do the needed job and dont push to do more. I will be back in the future as work is needed on my vehicles.

They were the only shop out of 8 or 10 I called about tires that gave me the quote on the NOT most expensive brand available. They did a great job and fast.

These guys are like gentle nurses, empathetic and caring. They patiently listened to every word I had to say about my car. I came in with an issue that could have costed me $700+, but these guys really seemed to treat my car with delicacy and saved me $650. It was hard not to cry on my way home.

Im kind of bias in this review. I work at this Car-X, & used to work at the Woodman Dr. location about 5yrs ago. As an employee, I can honestly say this is a good shop. I dont work in shady shops, and there is enough of them around town. You can trust your car with us at Car-X in Kettering, Ohio.

I had an emergency repair needed that was beyond my skills as a mechanic. These guys took my car in within a couple hours of calling, and fixed it. They were so adept at the fix that they even didnt charge! Obviously not everyone is going to get that service, but this is the kind of garage you can trust for skills. Id give five stars but the lobby could use some updating :-)

Excellent Service! I have been going to this place since I bought my car new in 2013. I travel over 500 miles per week so miles rack up quickly between oil changes. The gentlemen that work here are very nice and honest. I have seen them talk with customers and they walk them through repairs and choices that allows the customers to make the right decision.

I have been taking my car to carx for years. I have never had a problem with the people that work there. They are honest and will try their best to fix your car for the least expensive way they can. I would highly recommend taking your car there to be fixed.

Best auto repair shop in Dayton area! The whole staff was very friendly/personable. Had tie-rod replaced with an alignment and it took only took them 45mins to repair. Only issue I had was the mechanic that pulled my truck around left greasy hand prints on the inside door handle and steering wheel. But I would definitely go back for future repairs when needed!

Good guys. Not much for customer service, but very friendly. They more than make up for it with care of the vehicle and honesty. They will not do anything unnecessary and let you know if problems arise before fixing them (and charging you). Great place to take your car.They are open until 6pm not 5.

The guys at the shop are very wonderful they were able to squeeze me in so that I could get somewhere I needed in an emergency. they were quick kept in contact with me all the time and fixed the problem that another shop said they fixed but they did not. the pricing is hreat and I will definitely be back. We have came to these guys the past couple times for some car repairs. Its hard to find a shop that is honest, these guys are for sure. Shop manager seems to care and isnt all about squeezing as much money out of u as he can.

These guys were very nice and honest. I went in for an oil change and to have one of my tires looked at. It turned out I didnt need an oil change but I did need tire repair and balancing. They were honest with me and told me I didnt need the oil change instead of just doing it. I saved $30. They also take $10 off your oil change service if you bring in a food donation which they donate weekly and their donations stay local.

Darryl and the guys have serviced all our cars for years. Reliable, hard working, great prices and they back it all up consistently. If you are not happy, they will make it right.

I recently had some exhaust work done. Once again, Darryl and his staff did an awesome job. Honest, fair and professional work once again.

Super friendly staff. The first time I was here the lug nuts had come loose on my car and they tightened them at no charge and sent me on my way. So when my other car had suspension issues I brought it here and they fixed it right up in about an hour at a fair price. 10/10 will be coming here for my future automotive needs.

I live in Trotwood but work out of Columbus and I will travel all the way to Kettering to have my services done on my car. It is very hard to find a reliable mechanic (auto shop) that you can trust as a single woman. These guys do great work at a fair price. They will tell you if something is wrong but wont try to rip you off like some other guys.

In my experiences, Car -X service has been thuro. Besides the initial service being done, theyll usally suggest other services that need to be addressed, but will not push it. I usually go in for the oil change (there are usually coupons online). The location is especially convenient to the Kettering, Oakwood and some Centerville areas.

In addition to the letter I am sending to CarX Corporate Headquarters concerning my experience, and the service my Stepfather experienced while he was here visiting from Chicago, and had car troubles himself, I felt it was important to acknowledge this particular branch in Dayton. I have never met more genuine, quality, and honest men in this service industry.
