Best time I ever had in the water. From Nick who helped me revive my GoPro to Captain Harley who ran a great ship to Jeff who pointed us all in the right direction, I have never enjoyed myself so much. These people run the best outfit no questions asked.

We took our Honeymoon in Key West and decided to try snorkeling. Lost Reef Adventures did an amazing job making sure we were safe, comfortable, and knew what to look out for. Their team is highly trained, friendly, and light hearted. The day we went the waters were crystal clear and there was so much to see at each location! I highly recommend booking Lost Reef Adventures!

Didnt even plan on driving just walked in to look around found out there was a open spot on a afternoon dive and jumped on it. I had a great time I had no gear so I rented theirs and it was all quality and in good condition. Did two tanks at two sites. The crew was great Stormy was our dive Master and she was very helpful. The boat captain was also very helpful.

An amazing unforgettable experience!HUNTER WAS THE BEST GUIDE!!!!Brought my wife to try Discover Scuba, where we have a morning class and practice, followed by 2 afternoon dives, on the same day.To say she was nervous would be an understatement.If not for the calmness and professionalism of our scuba ninja marine corp vet HUNTER there was no way she would’ve done it. I dont know how to swim, lets start there. They were very supportive and gave good instructions on what to do to enhance our snorkeling experience. The staff was fun to talk to. Highly recommended. At the end of my snorkeling experience I was happy that I overcame my fear of water and got to experience corals and see bunch of big fish.

My kids and myself are new to diving and the staff at lost reef were great with helping us. Stormy was very helpful in guiding us and help us navigate the reef. Great experience, I highly recommend lost reef.

I did my open water certification with Dan here last week, AMAZING! Dan was great, made me feel safe and comfortable. Did a great job creating a good relationship and feeling like a friend to everyone on the boat. We did 4 dives over the course of 2 days, he had such a positive attitude and was so helpful to not only me but everyone else on the boat. Couldnt Recommend Dan enough, such a good experience!

We had a great time on both of our trips. This was my first open ocean dive. Captain Robin and his crew kept a tight and clean ship with lots of smiles and easy to understand instructions. We had divers and snorkelers of all levels and all were treated well. There were some sharks, barracudas and tropical fish abound. Word to the wise do not bring a banana onboard!!!!!!!

Had a great dive to “Haystacks” and “Cannonball Cut”The crew was excellent from the dive briefing to helping with equipment. I plan to use them again!

Its hard to have a poor experience snorkeling in the Florida Keys, so many reefs, marine life, it is spectacular. The Family and I go a lot and enjoy it.Lost Reef Adventures is a Scuba Dive trip, they dont cater to the snorkelers, there an after thought. Your a second class citizen and your made to feel like it. Dive folks board the boat first, about 35 of the total 43 passengers. Snorkelers wait until all their Scuba gear is set, we then board and are stuck in the blazing sun because all the canopy seats are taken up with Scuba folks and their gear. We waited around 2h 30 mins and finally left around 3pm for a 1:30pm trip that we were asked to get an hour early there for (12:30pm) sitting at the marina in the blazing heat with no cover. They never even had us do waivers, to busy making sure scuba folks had what they needed. I recommend skipping this company if you are snorkeling only.

We came to Key West for a vacation and I wanted to complete my open water dive certification, which I was nervous about. My instructor Dave went above and beyond to make sure I learned all the needed skills and that I was comfortable and enjoyed myself. I also became very sea-sick. Captain Robin and his crew did their best to make me feel better and gave me suggestions to help me for the next day so that I could better enjoy the experience. We would highly recommend Lost Reef to anyone looking to scuba dive in Key West!

Nice shop! Did a snorkel then a dive with them. Cool crew on boat n in shop. I like there’s not thousands of snorkels’ on board.When I come back I look forward to diving the Vandenburg with this shop. Elsa kinda shut down diving, 10 feet of vis n current in the Keys, let’s just stay in n drink.

Great place for Key West Scuba. Staff were great, experienced and helpful. Location is easy. We dove two reef dives. Saw large variety of fish including a fairly large nurse shark. I would recommend them.

Solid equipment and perfect dive boat. Haystacks / Sambo Reef was great, shallow dive that offers a lot of bottom time with great structure and wide variety of fish to see. Hope to dive with Lost Reef again soon, maybe hit the Vandenberg on the next visit!

I have been scuba diving and snorkeling around the upper and lower keys for the last 4 days, culminating to todays trip with Lost Reef Adventures... It was absolutely phenomenal! Excellent caring staff, great service, great boat ride... let alone the marvels we saw while snorkeling! Stunning coral, more fish than I have seen in the last 4 days put together, and even (...I finally see this....) sharks!! All very affordable. Would strongly recommend them for your scuba or snorkeling adventures with no hesitation. Thank you Lost Reef Adventures for such an amazingly splendid day, we could not have asked for better!!

What a great experience! The crew was wonderful and very helpful. You get to go in the water at your own pace and get out if you want to. They took us to two beautiful places and learned a lot of history along the way!

They cancelled the trip without any notice. We received an email the day prior reminding us of our reservation. We drove 4 hours from N. Miami, paid $30 to park, turned down an offer with another couple to accompany them with another local boat and arrived to hear “we aren’t running today”, stating weather concerns. The weather has been the same all week. No call, no email, no text. Book with an outfit that has a little courtesy.

We did the Discover Scuba course. Id never been sucba diving before and was honestly pretty nervous leading up to the day but our instructor and guide, Dave, was amazing!We spent the first half of the day learning material and then practicing in a pool and then the fun began!By the time we did the actual dives I was totally comfortable. We saw so many different fish, reef sharks, a few different huge rays. I felt like I was in Finding Nemo!Would recommend this place to everyone! Ask for Dave as well!

I saw a few comments about canceled trips and figured they were just an anomaly. And then it happened to me. With under an hour until my trip they called to say the trip was canceled due to boat troubles. Warning! Nice folks but its too risky to select this operator for your trip. They need better equipment and for that reason pick an operator with more than one boat. Would not recommend. This ruined our trip. Very disappointed!

100% would recommend. Was definitely the best value for snorkeling in the area ($45 per adult)— provided gear, boat trip to and fro, and 1-hour dives at 2 different locations on the reef. Crew was laid back and light hearted. Great instruction, trip time rotations was close to 4 hours. Saw tons of different colorful fish, barracuda, nurse sharks, lobster, jellies, and plenty of plant like and coral.

I decided to get scuba certified while in Key West through Lost Reef Adventures and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. I worked with Dave, and he was fantastic. Everyone was encouraging, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel welcomed. You can tell they all love their jobs and want to help make this a great experience. Ill never cover my dives here and the staff helped me in ways I never knew I needed.

My charter in Key Largo got cancelled due to sea conditions and we were on our way to Key West anyway so we tried calling all the shops in KW and finally found Lost Reef had space for out group of 5 for some shallow reef dives (better than not diving at all right?)The captain and DM on the boat did a great job and we tipped appropriately and were very pleased with that part of the trip.The fail happened when we wanted to try getting some of our personal tanks filled. I was very understanding that their fill station operator needed to help change over the boat for their afternoon trip and had no issue waiting an hour or so for them to get the afternoon charter out before they could fill my cylinders.After awhile I noticed the fill operator was just filling their tanks and not mine (they didnt need these tanks for an afternoon charter or anything). When I asked if he could fill mine because we needed to hit the road and I had already been waiting a long time he just simply said he would do them after he did their own tanks in a fairly rude manner and mentioned he was in charge of filling tanks.Needless to say I just went and rounded up the rest of my group, grabbed my truck and we loaded our empty tanks up. After this I went into the office the give the woman inside a heads up about what happened but she was too busy on the phone to even acknowledge us standing there for several minutes and just find out real quick what we needed that I gave up and left.I wont be returning to these folks in the future and wont recommend them to others based on the office staff and fill station operator.

Due to high winds, we had to switch our dive day and our original dive company was booked. Lost Reef were able to get us onboard the next day. We did the Haystacks and Cannon Ball shallow reef dives. This IS NOT A GUIDED DIVE. Please inquire before signing on. Dont always assume and we didnt discover until we showed up to the boat. Our family of 4 handled it fine. The crew was super nice and very knowledgable.

Great group. Great service. No complaints. And when the weather was bad they let us cancel the next day dives no problem.

Dave was a great Dive guide/instructor. We planned on Diving for 2 half days while in Key West; both Reef and Wreck. Dave managed to put our son into a 3rd Dive afternoon that enabled him to earn his Advanced Open Water certification, like his Mom and I have. I would definitely recommend these guys!

Me and my husband went scuba diving on our honeymoon. We got scuba certified last July and they recommended we take a refresher course. Dave was very helpful and made sure we would be safe out in the ocean. My husband and I went on a dive the next day. We did 2 dives, each were 1 hour long. We had a blast. They provided transportation to and from the boat location. Very friendly staff and all equipment provided. Definitely recommend this company for scuba diving in Key West.

I researched a bunch of places in Key West that had snorkeling services and this one was $50 for 2 hours, while all the others were $50 for one hour - first off a great deal. Staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable (also told everyone how to properly deal with trash on the boat so it didn’t pollute the ocean 👍). They also had good parameters in place to deal with covid. When we were on the reefs they gave us some basic instructions and just let everyone explore for the hours we were there. Best company in Key West for snorkeling. Highly recommend.

We had so much fun! Our family of four, with two children (8 and 4 years old), snorkeled while other people were scuba diving. The crew was super attentive and made sure we had fun - we had candy, funny jokes and learned first hand why bananas are bad luck on boats! We hope to come back and see Dave, Dan and the Captain! Thank you for making our second snorkeling trip while staying in the Keys even better than the first :) We will continue to recommend Lost Reef Adventures in Key West!

Recommend getting information on dive sites in advance. We aren’t used to diving without a guide and probably didn’t see as much of the actual reef. Very shallow dives.

Dave was an awesome instructor! We had a great time diving with this shop. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.

The one instructor Hunter was great at diving instruction and we left a tip for him and the crew. The others were decent. However, the bad out weighed for sure. Letting us know very key things for success at the dive shop before getting on board was non existent. I even asked the lady what we need to get or do beforehand. The first day we went snorkeling it was not a fun trip but the snorkle location was good.. The second, scuba diving, again the trip wasnt fun but the location of where they took us was good. We paid for 5 people to scuba dive and then only 2 of us were actually able to, mainly because it was the first time and it can be intimidating...They still made us pay for 5 and for the average person scuba diving is not cheap. Thr boats topped working on us when we started to leave the dock the second day and yet the captain still wanted to go out while another person was pumping water out or fuel in the line (couldnt tell exactly) like crazy in the back the whole time. I will not go back or recommend.

Not at all recommendedLiterally we felt like cheated, me and my husband went to scuba diving for our Anniversary trip, while providing the details, they mentioned nothing that if we cannot make in the pool, we cannot go to the sea, and we will not get refund too. We opted for Discover Scuba Diving Course and we were very excited about it, after the 2 hours pool session, when the trainer thought we cannot go to the sea, we asked for a half amount refund, since we only could wear gear and do some stuff in the pool, for which they refused and they refused to offer some other course or some other day. They took all the amount and we did nothing.

Had a great scuba dive with them on 2 separate reef locations. Went to The Haystacks first and then the Canon Ball Cut. Saw goat fish, parrot fish, barracuda, one box fish, four eyed butterfly fish, angel fish and more. Dive masters (Dave and Stormie) both excellent. Will definitely use them again.

This was my first time ever snorkeling. The crew was amazing and very informative. Stormy was very helpful, from the time of booking to even the excursion itself. Im definitely interested in being certified to dive. It was an amazing experience just snorkeling I cant wait to see it from a deeper experience!!

Amazing experience!! Adrianne helped us with coordinating our trips- we were able to do 3 trips with lost reef during our vacation. We were certified 2 months ago and these were our first salt water dives. The crew took really good care of us, even though we made some simple mistakes here and there (beginners.. haha). We did 2 reef dive trips and last trip was the wreck dive on the vandenberg- I will remember the experience forever!! Our guide Sage was super patient and made sure we had a great experience in and out of the water, including giving us tips regarding our gear. She had taught us some great things, making us feel more confident in diving moving forward. If you bring your own gear, you can rinse and hang them to dry at the shop which makes things super convenient. These guys (Adrianne, Captian Jay, Mike, Dave and Sage) are fantastic. We will definitely dive with them when we come back!

My wife and I just googled dive shops in key west and this place came up. They were less expensive than other shops and usually that comes with not as good of equipment or not as friendly staff but this was not the case. Super friendly and the gear was great. We did the reef dives and had a blast. Hoping the weather holds so we can do the ship dive. Overall a great dive shop!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Me and my family are staying at duck key which is 61 miles away. We got to the shop very excited to go diving and after waiting 30 or so mins of waiting outside in the heat, we were told that the dive is cancelled. We got a refund, but no inconvenience fee. I wouldn’t care about the inconvenience fee as much if it wasn’t for a fishing charter telling us that the weather isn’t good 3 days in advance so we replanned that. Instead they last minute told us they cancelled. Very inconsiderate and horrible customer service.

Nick went above and beyond to take responsibility for a business mistake. In addition to doing everything he could to fix the mistake. He took us out on the water some of us were able to dive and refunded us in the end as a gesture of apology. Set up a night fishing trip with Nick. Had a great time with Capt. Neil and Capt. Patrick they were very friendly and helpful we caught Mahi-mahi and Swordfish. Would recommend Lost Reef Adventures to anyone who was looking for a great experience in Key West.

I rented prescription goggles for $10 for an afternoon- great service! Even though they weren’t the right strength they worked very well on my sponge observing snorkeling adventure through Fury.

What a great time! My wife and I went on a dive trip with Lost Reef Adventures. They took the time with everyone and were very patient when going over the safety rules. My brother-in-law came to snorkel and my mother in law just came for the ride in the boat. We really enjoyed our day on and under the water. Great Dive Experience!! Dave and Mike welcomed us with open arms. Dave spent the morning with our friends getting them prepared for their discovery experience, and then took us out to 2 solid spots, the highlight being a swim-by from the local blacktop reef shark. They also met up in the evening to show us the best local pizza shop and live entertainment. Above and beyond service, and we enjoyed their professionalism/dedication to safety when it was needed, but also their jovial attitude. Can’t wait to come back and do it all again.

Great experience, went on three consecutive dive trips while in Key West. Called the day before we arrived and had no problems booking trips. Staff is helpful and nice, especially Mike, Sage, Harley, the captain (Dave? I think).Trip prices are very reasonable. Guides are optional and many sites are simple enough that one isnt needed - also cheap to have one. Highly recommended and would dive with them again.

We took our whole family out with Mike and Billy. This was absolutely the highlight of our trip. Our daughter had never gone swimming much. Mike did an excellent job of explaining everything and ended up snorkeling with our tour. We were amazed at the sites and the species we saw...even the sharks :-) Now my daughter wants to learn to SCUBA dive! Well be back.

We had an amazing experience with the snorkeling trip they provided. They took us to two reefs and let us snorkel for 60 minutes in each reef. All of the equipment was provided and the guide was super helpful and funny. He also came into the water with us to show us the best areas to swim and to point out the different kinds of fish and rock formations. Really made the trip much more enjoyable. We were lucky enough to see a couple of sharks as well. Easily a 10 out of 10 experience.

This is a great spot in Key West for scuba and snorkeling equipment. On a recent visit we forgot our optical snorkel mask and had two snorkel trips planned. We were able to rent one easily from Lost Reef and it was a real vacation saver. Great folks working there, who were incredibly helpful.

I am getting back into scuba diving after 18 years off. I signed up for a double reef dive with Lost Reef Adventures. Their price was in line with all the other companies in that area. Jay was the boat captain and Dave was the guide. They were both wonderful people. I spent the majority of the time with Dave since Jay was driving the boat. Dave explained all the details to us. He is very likable. Your safety is his #1 priority. The dive went very well. We all had a great time. We left the shore at 9am and were back around 2pm. Money well spent. I tipped some cash at the end since everything exceeded my expectations. Next time I’m in Key West I will sign up for the Vandenberg dive with this company.

Highly recommend! I booked the 4 hour, 2 site snorkeling trip for my girlfriend and I. The water and current was strong and rough but that is something that is completely out of control! The crew was great! Our trip consisted of about 12 people so the experience was very personalized. The crew was very friendly, helpful and informative. Overall we were happy. We looked at other companies and the prices were twice as much and even passed one of their boats and looked like there was about 75 people, so to me it was such a great deal to have a more personal trip and instruction for half the price!

I wanted to get my Open Water Diver certificate and was recommended by a friend to do my open water dives with Lost Reef Adventures. I couldnt have done it with better people or a better place. My instructor, Shaina was awesome and really motivating. She made all of the lessons fun and was supportive throughout the whole experience. The Dive Master, Mike and Captian, Frank were incredible. They made sure each place and dive we went on was safe. Over all they were all professional, fun, and incredible to work with. Cant wait to come back and explore more dive options with them.

So much fun!! The coral reefs are great! Saw turtles and sharks..the people are super friendly and helped every step of the way!! Way better than a bigger snorkeling outfit because its less people!! Great time guys!!!

I dove multiple times over multiple days with Lost Reef Adventures. Im a divemaster, and my friends are newly certified open water divers. We all had a great time. Professional, courteous, through, and well equipped. Ill dive with Lost Reef again.

My 12 yr old son and I went to Lost Reef Adventures to take our PADI Open WaterSCUBA Certification. We had an execellent experience throughout the entire class and would recommend this dive shop as the place to go for certification in Key West. Our instructor, Jason Fenner was great working with us to learn the water skills and the open water dives were incredible, we even saw a couple sharks. This is a must do in Ket West!

We went on a snorkeling trip with this company, we had our 11 & 8 year old boys with us. When I went into the office I specifically asked if this snorkel was suitable for our small children I was assured that it was. I was told its very calm & they had great visibility.. we were excited to take the trip. When we arrived we were the only snorkelers. Everyone else was diving. The crew on the boat & other customers were VERY NICE!!! When we arrived at the first spot we tried to snorkel & there was just no way!! Myself am a strong swimmer, I immediately put my 8year old back on the boat my 11 yr old tried his best. The water was so rough even tho it was a faily nice day I didnt last in the water for more than a few minutes.. we didnt even try to get off on the second stop. Being raised on Hiltonhead in saltwater my entire life, i felt the situation was to dangerous for our children. I wish the man in the office would have been honest about the trip. We spent over 4 hours on the boat the crew was very pleasant & the divers shared some pictures with us. This IS NOT A TRIP FOR SMALL CHILDREN AT ALL.. In my opinion this would have been a GREAT DIVING EXPERIENCE... just not for us or our very small kids. It was in no way like what I was told.. I wish someone would have told us.. this was nothing but just a very expensive boat ride. Maybe they could have referred us to a beach type snorkeling trip suitable for families...I could even tell the crew was wondering wth we were doing on the boat...had the captain shared with us it wasnt suitable for us b4 we left we would have happily appreciated his the honesty & been on our way.. They were unaware there was snorkelers booked for the trip & unprepared for us.. they had guides for the divers but told us just jump off & go twards the dark spots we could see anythingthe was was too deep-the snorkel vest on board were full of water & thank god we brought our own snorkeling gear which was useless..honestly I was surprised they even charged my card for the full price.. we would have been better off

Most awesome time with them. Great Dives! If you are doing the Vandenberg shipwreck, then choose them for sure. I dove the wreck with other companies here and Lost Reef Adventures Guides are way better. With them you will be able to go inside the wreck in multiple places. Instructor Dave is awesome too!

This is one of the most fantastic experiences I have had diving! Very professional. The crew works very well together and they have a great time with their clients! Not only did I feel comfortable but I felt safe and secure and knew the crew were knowledgeable and were all happy to be there. The owner was extra helpful giving us recommendations to places to see and restraunt to eat at! A special shout out to Mike,, thank you so very much for making me feel safe and able to enjoy myself. We have a reservation for 9.00am and we woke up early and came to this place but no one was here, the manger told me it has been cancelled but until now I still didn’t receive any emails. However, the manger was nice he told us something we can do instead this. So if you don’t want to interrupt your schedule you might find other place.

I called around other places had extra fees this place didnt! Straight forward, honest, highly professional young group of men and women! Highly recommend for any divers! My wife has never gone before and they spent about two-hours going over everything and practicing​ at the beach before our dive. We dove twice, each dive an hour long about 7 miles off shore 30-40 boat ride one way. If you go on this trip you will see beautiful reefs. Thanks for an amazing day!!!!!

Top notch crew! I took a group of 13 divers this past Saturday 10/27/2018 to dive the Vandy, and Lost Reef Adventures did not disappoint. From check in to check out everything was perfect as always. I wont use any other company when diving in Key West. I cant wait to come back

Great staff. Great price. Great fun. It would have been nice to have a guide to show us around the reefs but I did enjoy the freedom to go as I pleased

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We went where everybody goes, to the reef. They had no trouble combining DIVE and SCUBA. One staff member was a retired marine who told us stories about being used to swimming 5-7 miles on regular basis. That really gave a feeling of comfort to those in our group who were hesitant, first time snorkelling...We had 4 crew members for 10 passengers, another huge safety factor. While this is definitely a DIVE boat, they were able to make everybody feel comfortable, experienced or not.

My experience with Nick, Adriane, Kenny, Mike, and Robin have been more than exceptional. This crew of wonderful individuals are undivided and have worked together to make me feel welcomed into their home. With their love of diving, they have given me the upmost respect and attention anyone who wants to get their PADI open water certification. And with great gratitude I can truly say I have made new friends in this new home away from home. Thank you tremendously from the bottom of my heart. Hugs and kisses guys!

I went down to Key West for a dive weekend to get my Advanced Open Water certificate. I spent a good amount of time reviewing the local dive groups as there are several choices down in Key West. There is another group that has more reviews but not by many and Lost Reef is one of the highest rated groups there (also they are slightly cheaper than some of the competition). The dive crew was professional, taking good care to go over safety features and the dive plan. The boat crew was also excellent, watching carefully to make sure everyone got in and out of the boat safely. My dive instructor Dave was just the ideal dive instructor. We hit some rough weather the second day of my 3 day stay and instead of taking a boat out in rough water for a few dives that might or might not have been canceled, he spent an hour personally driving me around the Island to find a good beach where we could finish our remaining 3 dives. It ended up being an excellent dive as we found some incredible wild life just off the beach and had a blast just the two of us (he even caught himself a lobster at the end of our dives!). The point being I have been diving in several parts of the world, and Ive heard horror stories about lazy crews who dont even mention the safety precautions, or simply dont care about them. Lost Reef Adventures is a professional bunch with excellent training and good people. I couldnt have asked for a better dive experience.

We saw sharks, dolphins, and a turtle. While finishing our open water certification, our girls jumped in the water to snorkel. They were in good hands and enjoyed Mike. A great experience with Shaina, our teacher.

Lost Reef was one of the best dive operations that Ive worked with. They accommodated my schedule and the instructors were awesome: extremely knowledgeable and fun! I would highly recommend diving with them.

Amazing! I had so much fun!!! Hunter the master diver and the rest of the crew are really nice and very professional! Grate time and it wasnt expensive! A good place to go scuba diving with.

This past Monday, your dive boat captain & dive master were very rude as we were fishing Joes Tug. They pulled up & asked if we were on the wreck & I said yes. We had a bunch of fish schooled up behind the boat. The dive master jumped in & snorkeled all around my boat then they anchored right next to me. Then they sent divers in all under my boat which made the fish scatter & the bite shut off. You should be thankful that I bit my tongue because they had customers on board & I had a kid with me. That was very rude etiquette, theres tons of wrecks to dive!

We are just beginners and did our OWD last week. This was our first dive after. We were quite nervous but thanks to Mike, Capt.Mike and Capt.Frank this trip became once in a life time experience!!! You guys are AWESOME👏

Completed my Advanced Open Water and was more than satisfied with my instructor and crew members on the boat. The instructors, guides and captain are very knowledgable and go the extra mile to make the adventure as comfortable as possible. I would recommend this dive shop to everyone, I also plan to come back.

Diving the Vandenburg was absolutely incredible! Our favorite dive yet! The dive master and captain were phenomenal and the boat was great (more stable than any other dive boat weve been on). Our guide was insistent that we stay very close to her. We realize that thats vital on a wreck dive like this one but we felt that the leash was a little tight. Otherwise, our experience was fantastic with Lost Reef.

Harley was funny and Sage was sweet. We had a lot of fun and saw a lot of colorful fish.
